That's part of her plan to take over the game: she already started taking the appearance of other survivors... in a couple years it will just be Feng Mins everywhere.
I draw the line at Bunny Feng coming after me with a chainsaw.

I'm curious about the kill rates with the new HUD. Might just be me but my games since the patch, especially on killers I play less, have been way harder than they used to. I lost pretty much 80% of my games and it wasn't close.
One thing is for sure. The new HUD impacts the game largely in QoL and SoloQ strength. Just knowing someone else is in chase or someone isn't doing anything while one is on the hook, suggesting they go for the rescue is a big deal. But the SoloQ adjustments were just as due as the killer adjustments in 6.1.0.
-
Isn't this a bit harsh? They nerfed her. They finally nerfed Nurse, which means they are no longer ignoring the issue. If she's still too powerful they will probably nerf her again but the patch hasn't even been out for a day and already people complain.
-
NOED is a hopeless case. It will always be disgusting. I think no matter what changes you make to the perk, unless you change its entire concept, there will still be scenarios where it guarantees a kill.
-
There is no perk other than Eruption that allows you to let 4 gens explode simultaneously. But Eruption is actually triggered upon putting a survivor into the dying state (downing them) and not hooking.
4 missed skill checks in quick succession is a very rare thing as well so I guess you might have had Hex: Huntress's Lullaby equipped?! Huntress's Lullaby delays the sound clue before every skill check and you gain a stack on it with each hook that you get up until 5. At 5 stacks the sound disappears entirely.
Also which killer did you play? If it was Doctor, the survivors might have had a hard time with the madness skill checks.
-
It's a bit better than it was before. Though I must say on a scale of "1" to "I want to unite my head with a brick wall, if I ever get sent there" it's still a "I miss when survivors would simply send me to Haddonfield to demonstrate their appreciation."
TL;DR: It's better but still awful.

I played about 15 twins games last weekend and didn't have any issues.
Lucky you. I played one single game after the patch just to see if they fixed it. I found the answer was a resounding no.

if you’re going to address my stance with Claudette, be sure to talk about the unfair treatment to other people of color characters and the pedestal white characters are put on. And don’t say it’s about race, because as I said it is if THE MAJORITY of cosmetic updates and quality treatment are given to white characters. Also, if you are a white person, pls don’t say things about race when i addressed that it is and that regardless of popularity, it’s bhvr job to PROPERLY REPRESENT those who are misrepresented; and that group is the very few characters of color in the roster.
The hypocrisy is strong in that one.

Close. Actually, they might as well call it that because every time that happens I want to dc. 😂

Hands down the best skin in the game in terms of quality. Good job, BHVR!

As a blight main… few survivors know how to pull that tech off… but I have fallen victim to it a couple times. 🥲
It hurts on Billy as well. Any time it happens I lose a part of my soul.

What is it? The crouch tech or something? 😂
What? Definitely not that one. I was totally talking about an entirely different tech. 😶
-
The reason why so many people hate is because it's very effective with no risk and a lot of killers can't do anything about it. Think about how long it takes for a killer to catch up to you. There is no mindgame that works against Shift W.

I genuinely have no idea what tech this is. 😂
And that's a good thing.
-
This is not an issue exclusive to Plague. The survivor's hitbox somehow is shifted while they crouch. You can also see this with Blight and Hillbilly as they can sometimes bodyblock you while crouched with you being unable to hit them.

I never run into toxic killers when play as killers. Killers have my respect.
To be fair, toxic people dont know they're toxic. Play as Killer and you never run into other killer, while there are 4 survivors (100%). Play as Survivor and you run into 1 killer, but 3 survivors (75%).
Uhm... You're not quite right. Even playing as a killer you can still run into another killer. I had that experience. That damn Trickster wouldn't even let me kill those 3 survivors.
-
Dissolution? Really? Of all the perks that could be seen as problematic you complain about Dissolution? It's not even that strong. You get a warning that the perk is active and it only breaks the pallet after fast vaulting.
-
One really terrible tech, that can make even the best plays on 2 killers absolutely invalid by the press of a single button.... That's not even "E"!
I won't share the name because sadly enough there are videos about it and I really don't want to see any more people doing that.
-
Good point actually. It's not a super big deal but there is no reason why the killer shouldn't see the hook stages. Usually I try to go for 12 hooks or at least not kill anyone before the 7th hook but this means I need to count hook stages and well... Sometimes I mess that up. Would be easier to count to 3 instead.
-
Killer: Milkman Billy. One of the best cosmetics in the entire game along with Mr. Puddles.
Survivor: A mix of Ace's cosmetics. The AoT one is pretty cool but I also enjoy his pink shirt with the white pants and the pink sunglasses. It just makes him look like the guy that will smile even the killer moris him.

And normally I would. I've decided to make an exception for this. As you can see, there is a long scrollbar and most of it is him calling names and being told by me and everyone to calm down. It's just a game. Ok, so normally it doesn't happen to this extent but a lot of people are very abusive after the game and that is no way to save a community.
Just say nothing or just "GG" and move on. But this is atrocious. It was literally this guy just constantly yelling abusive stuff.
I agree. But since it's against forum rules you really should censor the names.
-
What did I just read? It's a just A GAME!
Though respectfully, you should really blur their names.
-
Happened to me as well. Even got the -rep on my steam profile marking me as the horrible cheater I am. Needless to say I'm not a hacker but won a match against them pretty decisively by using my killer's power and perks to the max of my ability.
Mostly I politely explain to them what the situation where they thought I was cheating looked like from my perspective. Other than that, see it as a compliment.
-
I would love that but heavy rain and storms might be too much for the game to handle. They can't even add a third zombie for Nemesis because that would be too much for the game.
They could however add sound effects to indoor maps to suggest a storm or whatever.
-
Wraith. I don't know why but I don't like going against Wraiths personally. Every other killer - ok. But please don't let it be a Wraith.
-
I'm not even sure there is an easy fix for this. It's a latency issue after all.
-
I mean, why would you need to justify that? If you had for example 2 basement hooks with 3 gens to go you can camp and guarantee the win. Should you do that? According to MMR - yes, you should. According to survivors - no, you shouldn't. According to yourself - that's your decision to make.
This is not against the rules. It's not exactly nice but it is effective. Do what you want as long as it's within the rules of this game.
-
Congrats. You found a setup where Nurse and Trapper have the same mobility. You forgot something though. Walking in a straight line to get from one side of the map to the other only works on maybe 2 maps? 3? Screw it, I'm too lazy to go through all the maps and count so let's say there might be 5. Nurse has the advantage because she can go right through whatever obstacle might be in the way while other killers will need to walk around wasting their time.
-
Congrats on picking up Billy!
The first and most crucial thing you need to learn is 99ing / feathering your chainsaw. You can either do that in a private game or just load into a normal match and focus on feathering. Practice until you can do it with your eyes closed. Don't practice til you do it right, practice til you can't do it wrong! As long as you're learning there is no such thing as using your chainsaw too much. You will lose a lot of matches but keep in mind that Billy is probably the hardest (or maybe 2nd hardest) killer in this game. You will fail countless times and you will lose a part of your soul as well as your sanity but eventually you will get the hang of this killer. Be stubborn and just try, try, try again. I also recommend learning collisions. There are some spots where you definitely don't want to use your chainsaw (mainly bushes) because they have weird collisions.
For perks you probably want to use as much aura reading as possible and also Shadowborn (it helps with orienting at loops). I recommend Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage, Shadowborn.
I also recommend watching:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INAZdZLBvBY&t=54s (a Billy guide by Sofareks)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR0L4qaVC4Y (some more tips and tricks for Billy by Sofareks)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88kRt8_O4yc (a curving guide by UncleStanbana)
The most important part in learning this killer is to be patient. You can get the hang of Nurse after a few hours (at least that's my experience) but the depths of Billy are more nuanced. You will overcurve, undercurve, miss, bump, face inexplicable things and lose your mind over a lot of things. But with each failed attempt you get a tiny bit better. Each failed curve is an opportunity to reflect on what went wrong. Take the time to try and curve certain loops even when it might cost you the game. You will learn and you will eventually build the muscle memory and knowledge to curve in unconventional ways and even combine that with mind games. Even the best Hillbillies sometimes find new strats and mind games. There is no way to rush this. Just keep at it. If you feel burnt out take a break from Billy and come back later.
Best of luck!

300hrs on a mix of survivor and killer? That means you're basically still new to the game. I doubt you have even encountered all killers in 300hrs. Some are so rare. I have 1800 hrs (around 450hrs on survivor I think) and even I have barely faced all the killers.
Let's break down why killers feel so powerful to newer survivors. When no one knows how to loop, where to find gens, what to look out for and how to take the killer away from their team mates or other important things, the killer is an absolute monster. An unstoppable force slaying through survivors left and right with what looks like minimal effort. That is because the skill floor for most killers is very low. Even if you have no clue how to use a killer's power you can (mostly) just run after the survivors until you catch up and get a hit. However, as soon as survivors learn how to play their part and how to delay the killer that will no longer suffice. There are many, many, many compilations out there of survivors looping killers for eternity with nothing other than a single window and pallet. That is why all killers have at least some kind of an anti-loop. All of them, no exceptions. To be able to force survivors in lose-lose-situations and guarantee a hit eventually.
As soon as you become better at looping, navigating and tracking of perks, survivors and the killer you are a force to be reckoned with. SoloQ relies on at least 2 people being good with the other 2 not throwing or the killer being new and not knowing how to capitalize on survivor mistakes.
TL;DR: Survivor is hard at low levels but as soon as you get better, killers will have a rough time going against you.
-
Nurse isn't even that hard. Put in a few hours, get a feeling for her power and you're good to go. She is a problem for the balance of this game. That's why they nerf her. End of story.
-
I just tried it and it has not been fixed. However, I know that they are aware of this issue.

I wonder how many silly billy's jumped the gun and loaded up on Bubba DLC codes to flip before BHVR finally came out and said that the rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated...
Considering that there would have been a warning first and then a time where you would be able to buy the dlc for a reduced price (just like Stranger Things) probably not as many as you think.
-
For memes I suggest:
-Backwards Bubba. You are only allowed to move backwards. Backwards Nurse is fun as well. My high score on that is 2 kills and 1 dc.
-Un-Uncloacable Wraith. You only use "The Serpant"-Soot addon to uncloak. However, you need to cloak every 60s.
-Perma stalk tier 2 Myers with Vanity Mirror. You cannot stop stalking other than to hit, carry or break stuff.
-Sleeping Pig. You play Pig and hide while crouched until 4 gens are done, then try to get as many kills as possible with the bear traps.
-CEO-of-boxing-Nemesis. You cannot use your tentacle and only hook a survivor that you downed while carrying another survivor with the perks: Awakened Awareness, Mad Grit, Agitation and Iron Grasp.
-Devious Doctor. You play as usual until everyone is in tier 2 madness. Then you pick a spot to stand still with Insidious, pretending to be an illusion and and wait for your unsuspecting prey.
-Fear of loss Sadako. You play Sadako with a full aura build but you can only move as long as you see a survivor or carry them.
-Masochist Clown. You can only use yellow bottles and you're not allowed to down anyone that hasn't stunned you in any way while using Brutal Strength, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Hubris.
-Smallface. You play Ghostface but must always stay crouched.

I'm saying from my own experiences it plays a major role. Obviously there are other factors!
Ok. It just sounded to me like you were trying to break down most problems the game has to map issues. That's why I said that maps don't decide the outcome of a match by themselves. I agree though, that maps are a big problem. I said it before but most maps we got over the last 2 years are visually great with some real beauties like Eyrie (Seriously, have you ever taken the time to just admire the main building? I have some Spacebilly screenshots from the top of main building and my god it's stunning.) and Garden of Depression. The problem is that some things clearly weren't thought through. From a gameplay perspective they both have huge flaws and it's pretty much case of "Well, I'm screwed.", if you play the wrong killer on these maps.

They can be a deciding factor though. Eve if you have a chance to win every game doesn't mean you will if you try hard enough. Sometimes maps just allow survivors to clutch it out even if it was a close match. If you have a good rng and all players are good that can lead to a loss even the killer was good himself. Sure you can try to stack gen perks and hold a 3 gen but certain survivors deveoped strategys against that.
Ohh trust me, I know. I've been in the unfortunate position to play map dependent killers like Hillbilly, Doctor, Clown, Nemesis, Demogorgon, Myers on every map in the game (without strong builds to back me up). I've seen first hand how bad it can be to get sent to Garden of Depression, Eyrie of Pain and even Ormond (I like Ormond regardless because it looks nice and it's somewhat consistent). If the killer is barely compatible with the map you need to do everything right, meaning you need to take risks and they need to pay off. Playing it safe (M1 killer barely ever using power) is just too weak, which is ok in most cases. Looking at Cowshed you can really see all the things wrong with map design in DBD. It often feels like it doesn't even matter how you as a killer play because you can't do anything but run after the survivor, occasionally breaking a pallet anyway. But even a Trapper on Eyrie (which is probably one of the worst pairings for map and killer) can potentially get a 4k at 5 gens without addons or perks against good survivors. It's not likely, it probably won't happen in 10000+ games but it is possible none the less. Maps are only one of many factors that influence the game and I think sometimes people take a bad map as a guaranteed loss, which is not the case.
-
Maps influence the match strongly no argument there. But saying you simply lose because it's a bad map is a bit over the top. Sure, some killers have a big disadvantage when going to the wrong maps like Trapper on Eyrie, Billy on Lery's (I swear I lose a part of my soul every time that happens) and Myers on pretty much every Coldwind map but it doesn't mean that you can't win. It means you'll have a much harder time and might even be forced play in 'unpleasent' ways to make up for it.
Maps should be much fairer, agreed, but they don't decide the outcome of a match by themselves.

Yes...but it's just as important for survivors.
A quick down early on basically gives you control of the match for a while. Two quick kills and you snowball almost instantly.
Good point but with medkits and a number of perks that allow survivors to recover almost instantly, there are quite a few killers that have trouble applying and more important holding up pressure.
-
Trade offer:
You receive the ability to ban one killer.
I receive the ability to ban one perk.
Now we both can proceed to queue up for 60+ minutes without ever finding a decent match.
-
@Pulsar said:
Half of these Killers aren't even weak.
Like, Billy and Demo aren't top tier, but they're completely serviceable
They are playable but their standing in a tier list does not reflect their performances in the average match. Both have incredibly easy and intuitive counterplay and mediocre to bad addons with huge map dependance on their powers. They do need at least some small changes to make them a bit nicer to play.
-
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. WoO is can be countered by blindness at least. I know it's not much but it's better than nothing!
-
To be fair killers would camp and tunnel regardless of how 'fair' maps are. Because why wouldn't a killer tunnel or camp if that is the most effective play style for them? Chasing takes a lot of time and is risky, meanwhile camping is a safer option to get something in the next 60s. With tunneling it's the same.
However, the game could be balanced around chases more (allowing the devs to restrict tunneling and camping a bit more), if maps weren't this busted. Eyrie is getting a rework (Thank heavens!) but what about Mother's Dwelling, all Badhams, the swamp maps, Garden of Joy and whatever the Groaning Storehouse is supposed to be.
-
I was affraid that DH wouldn't go down without a fight and that's exactly what we're seeing right now. That damn thing just won't die! At this point they have to completely reimagine that perk or remove it because otherwise it will never go away.
The killer meta did change though it's still the same type of perks. Regression is the new regression. Eruption is pretty much the exact same as DH. You need to play around it by guessing when it might come and it's awful. Nobody wants to play around a perk that they don't even know is in the game yet! It needs a complete rework to end this misery.
-
I like the ideas but I still feel like nerfing her traps a little bit in exchange for all these buffs would be fair. Don't get me wrong her traps shouldn't be useless but at least the Tampered Timer, Bag of Gears and Crate of Gears addons could use some small nerfs. Would also be nice if a survivor couldn't die while working on a box. I wouldn't be too against her ambush breaking pallets as well.
-
Something around 3-4 weeks largely depending on what killers I play at the time. 3 months ago I played Wesker a bit more and got to iri 1 in about 10 days. Last month I played Hillbilly almost exclusively and I only got iri 1 like 2 days before grade reset.
-
Franklin's Demise doesn't really have a counter other than using the item before the killer can hit you (maybe).
-
Killer: basekit Corrupt Intervention or maybe BBQ (Though, that's probably just my addiction speaking.) remove Eruption
Survivor: basekit Bond remove DH
-

I get what you're saying but Ruin and the Hit and Run playstyle died with the introduction of Boons. Survivors learned the totem spawns and that meant finding the Hex and replacing it with a Boon was only matter of time. CoH pretty much killed the Hit and Run playstyle with its introduction. Turns out unlimited, time efficient self heals aren't half bad.
Also chase oriented playstyles are almost the same as before. That didn't change with the meta shake up and is pretty decent.
If you want to go for slow down Pain Res is still an option as well as Jolt.
-
Chainsaw Bros forever!
