There is only 1 part of Adrenaline that I find unfair.
If you play against Freddy Adrenaline wakes you up. Meaning, Freddy has no power in end game. That is a tragedy.
-
And what exactly is this supposed to fix? Her chase potential would still be weak, so 3 gens would remain the way to go. Even if survivors are no longer exposed, the hindered effect still forces them to run out of that drone's range as soon as she comes near. That basically makes her the same as she is now.
Smaller tweaks will not redeem this killer. She is irredeemable with her current gimmick. They need to change completely how the drones work.
-
Shadowborn. That one is non-negotiable.
-
Good for you. I support that 100% as long as you only play custom matches.
-
Agreed. They can either make her completely useless, so that her 3 gen tactic doesn't work anymore or they rework her.
A rework seems like the better option. Small tweaks will not redeem this killer.

The only Boon that changed was CoH. The others are untouched. And none of them are good enough to be ran tbh.
I never said any of them were changed. They are simply overshadowed by other, safer options.

I agree with you. I like playing SM and even knight but I get hate for playing them even tho I don't play them in an unfun way. I know I would be pretty upset if they delete SM or killswitch her for a year but these ppl don't care. They only care about their fun. That's why they also want dc penalties gone. They only care about their own fun and see dbd as a single-player game. I even get hate for enjoying legion(who is my main). You can't make anyone in here happy. I bet if they did rework her ppl would continue to complain. Shoot look at Wesker, who most would say is the best design killer in the game, I see a lot of posts about how ppl hate playing against him.
You have every right to enjoy the killer you play and you do not deserve to get any hate for that. However, everyone else also has the right to not enjoy playing against that killer. In the case of Dull Merchant the problem is that she is a boring killer to play against by design. You cannot change that no matter how you play.
I have played against 2 SMs so far. 1 tried to go for chases (mostly) and the other played for the 3 gen (admittedly, that was before the OverBrian nerf). Neither was pleasent to go against. The one that focused on chases set up a drone, forced us to leave the loop and repeated that until she got a hit. That is the most uninteractive chase you can imagine and in no way enjoyable to play against. You cannot loop, you cannot mind game, you cannot do anything other than Shift + W from loop to loop. Needless to say, she started playing a bit more 'defensive' when gens were getting done as well.
The other held her 3 gens for about 30 minutes before we gave up. Such interactive gameplay running towards the gen, repairing the gen for 5 seconds, then run away early, so that you don't get insta downed, rins and repeat. For 30 minutes. While the killer does not commit for any chases.
I am 100% against removing the dc penalty (in fact I'm all for increasing it) but I'd rather watch paint dry then play against SM one more time. It's even worse than doing nothing at all. I don't get any enjoyment out of playing against her and the matches go forever. Against other killers I can tell myself stuff like: "At least this won't take long." but that is definitely not the case for SM.
-
Circle of Healing is still strong but not as versatile as other perks are. Shadow Step is underrated. It can be really powerful in the right hands. Exponential is good but situational.
Overall boons aren't bad. They just aren't as good as they used to be and definitely no no-brainers, which means other perks are more appealing.

Then they'll just afk under the hook, run to the killer, walk around doing nothing, troll, etc. You can't force someone to play a match they already mentally checked out of. Better for everyone to let them DC and replace them with a more useful bot teammate.
Once you start with this, you can also make an argument that players should get their BP in spite of the dc because: "They weren't good against that killer and did their team mates a favor." and how survivors shouldn't have to dc until they get a killer they like and so on.
It's a slippery slope and giving in to this is not going to end well.
-
Or, hear me out, what if we don't encourage everyone to leave the matches they queued up for left and right? What if instead of allowing for everyone to dc on a whim, we actually increase the penalties and have BHVR deal with hook suicides. They could remove it in less than a weak and leave Deliverance as the only possible way to self-unhook. Anyone who still tries to give up will be reported for unsportsmanlike conduct and get a penalty for that.
Crazy, I know.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3490085#Comment_3490085
yes but it relies on survivor playing poorly in the chase.
Is this still a discussion about Wesker? Because Wesker really is mostly fine. Turn down his strength in tunneling situations a bit and be done with it.
His chase power won't suffer from that, his 3 genning potential will not increase and his overall strength will not be affected that much.
If you relied on his infection to tunnel someone out of the game, then that's a skill issue. In the time it would take you to fully infect a survivor, you should be able to easily end the chase regardless. Or you let that 1 survivor go and then find another, that is easier to catch. They'll be busy for a while getting rid of the infection and you pressure multiple people.
-
One big issue is that many solo survivors treat this game like it's a single player game. You are not alone. You have team mates. And with some basic level of coordination, like not running into each other with the killer on your heals, you can already do a great many things.
Bond exists for a reason. Yet you see so many people not run it, when they would clearly benefit from it. Try Bond + Open Handed and you will always know what is happening around the map. You have information on potential 3 gens, the killer's location, ressources and your team mates' positions. Or the devs make it base kit. Why not have survivors load into a match with 6 perks instead of 5? Or 7, if you need Open Handed on top of that.
But then they would also need to buff killers in return. Which wouldn't fix the issue. Most of the time, the problem is not solo queue but the players. Even 1 bad survivor can throw the game and there is nothing that BHVR can do about this. Even if survivors had 8 perk slots each, base unbreakable, base Bond, voice chats etc. that would not stop the Claudette from self-caring in a corner, the Dwight from hiding in lockers the entire game, the Nea from being too busy teabagging the killer to do gens and the Meg from suiciding on hook.

Then how come this game has survived for 7 years if they’re “bad at gameplay design” if they were really bad at balancing and gameplay this game would have died years ago.
Licenses, the lack of competition and some good chapters. Overall BHVR do a good job on many things like somehow keeping the game engaging, getting the most iconic horror licenses, some great visuals and sound design. But you cannot deny how bad of a job they did with Billy, Freddy, Sadako, the last 3 killers, maps, perk design etc. BHVR aren't exactly known to hit the middle ground with these things.
Sometimes the devs seem to be so eager to meet everyone's expectations, that they forget to look at the bigger picture and how all of this might actually play out. That is the only way I can explain the changes to Sadako. Because just from reading the patch notes I already knew, that this would make her issues even worse (and I wasn't alone). And would you look at that, I was right. Because I considered how all of these changes would actually work together.
Some changes they made to Sadako were highly requested but they just don't fit together and the end result is another killer, that offers more safety than danger and has 1 particular play style to make up for it. The same as before, but worse.

The difference between slugging for a 4k and getting a guy off the hook in endgame, is theres actual risk to go for a save.
Theres no risk in slugging a guy and looking for the last one at 3 gens left
Still, that is no reason not to go for a 4k. You do it exactly because there is little to no risk and no intentive not to slug. If I'd get better results for not slugging, then I'd do that but here we are.
I get it, you want to go into the next match and waiting on the ground isn't fun for you. But the only thing that is stopping a killer from slugging for the 4k is that they might drag the game out for longer than absolutely necessary. And if it means they get more points out of it, then why shouldn't they do that? Survivors and killers are not obligated to play in a way that is fun for their opponents.
There are ways for the devs to get rid of this, if they really wanted to. One way to fix this would be to remove hatch (not saying that they should do that). Another would be basekit unbreakable for the last 2 survivors. But until they do something about this, I don't see why we would point fingers at the killer for playing in 'unfun' way.
-
Agreed. When the matchmaking puts you in a lobby with people that have way less experience than you, the match becomes boring. Against better players you can at least try some stuff and use it as a learning opportunity.
That being said, I wouldn't want every single one of my matches to be against people that are much better than me. That isn't exactly fun either.

Maybe. But even then, they made it so much worse. I'd rather play against Knight every once in a while than having to play against even 1 more Dull Merchant, if you catch my drift. And I reckon I'm not alone with that opinion.

Its like asking why do Survivors stand at the exit gate. The killer at this point has already won and there is no real incentive to go for the 4k other than to piss off the other side which btw, they cant do anything about unless they have a perk
Most times that I go against a killer who slugs for the 4k, its out of spite. Had a Wraith yesterday who just refused to hook my teammate and made the game go on for an extra 15 minutes. I couldnt play any longer because I had to get ready for work so I just vaulted in and out of a locker so he could get it over with. Wanna know what he did? Stand there and nod.
I have countless situations that have happened as well and I dont even play Survivor that much, this is just the most recent.
I slug for 4ks quite often and it's never out of spite. But why should I be happy about a 3k when I can have the 4k instead? It's more points for me. Quite a few more actually. And it also might make a difference in how high up I get in terms of grades this month.
When someone refuses to end the match, that is hardly the same as trying to get the best results possible. I am sorry that that happened to you but that has very little to do with going for a 4k instead of a 3k. As a survivor, would you not try to get that poor guy off the hook in the end game when you have the chance? There is no reason to why you shouldn't try.

That just straight up isn’t true. She has to guess if she can’t see you. Even the way you frame it is super condescending to any Nurse player. Maybe you just aren’t good
I am not good with her. Not at all! Which is the reason I shouldn't be able to load into a lobby with people that know what they are doing with a somewhat ok-ish build (BBQ, Lethal, Shadowborn, Agitation) and win a majority of my games with little to no trouble.
I am not condescending. I am saying, that the killer you play objectively lacks real counterplay and that your performance in a match solely depends on you. The survivors do not matter. If you play good enough then anything they do is wrong and will result in them getting hit. And so far, I haven't even said anything about her second blink, which can bail her out even after making a missplay.

Thats just not true. She only gets the hit if she outplays you. Break LOS, move erratically, 360, double back, triple back, locker dodge, window fake, I could go on and on and on. Nurse is about getting in the opponents head, if you can understand their every move then you win. That goes for both sides. Which makes it really boil down to your own skill over hers in a 1v1.
If she plays it right, then you played it wrong and deserve to be hit for it.
Then my question is just like as a M1 killer in shack against a decently good survivor. What is my play? What is the correct thing for me to do? Because as long as you don't mess up, then I cannot win in this situation. Which basically means, if you play good enough, then I cannot play good at ll because I have no skill expression and always end up getting hit. You see where this is going? The survivor isn't a bot. So of course they will upset, if they cannot make a right play.
There is a difference between making a mistake and having no right option. This is why M1 killers are generally perceived as weak and it's also why Nurse is still overpowered. You cannot say something like: "I played better, so I deserved the hit." if there was never any real chance for the survivor to prevent that. After all you cannot even measure the survivor's skill in that situation. It's like comparing reell and complex numbers. You can only judge by the absolute outcome (hit or miss) but not by their actual values (correct / wrong plays).
-
Safe Spot could be a somewhat useful perk in low MMR but you are more than likely going to make your team mates angry by hiding in lockers for extended periods of time.
Corrupt Oblation is probably not a good idea. Hex totems should have the risk, that they can be cleansed in the first minute of a match in return for providing a really powerful effect. However, many perks right now just aren't strong enough to be Hex totems.

What’s wrong with having to guess? Why should you have a guaranteed way to counter her? Guessing involves interaction and mindgames from both players. This is how the game should be- it should NOT be survivors running around safe structures.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/384320/nurse-is-still-very-problematic-killer
If you have broken LOS she can’t know your next move. Blinking to the corner only works if the survivor waits there. If they keep moving then she has to guess where in the structure the survivor will be. It isn’t even close to as simple as you’re saying
That's exactly it. YOU have no way to do anything in chase, if the Nurse doesn't screw up. It all comes down to HER. That is not how an interactive and fair killer works. Ideally, you'd want both sides in a constant back and forth allowing for predictions and mindgames to happen that go beyond hoping your opponent plays sloppy.
That is not the case for Nurse. And that is why she will never be balanced. As long as the Nurse plays it right, she will come out on top in any situation.
-
Why? So that every time a match is even remotely challenging the killer just disconnects? No thanks.
Both survivors and killers should play the games they queued up for. If there was a surrender option after 15 minutes into a match that would probably be fine. Because then most matches would already be over by the time you could surrender but it would put an end to killers holding survivors hostage and vice versa.

They've already announced an upcoming update to SM, and that they're working on a solution to excessively long 3 gens as a whole. They're not doing nothing, don't worry.
They said they'd rework Twins as the very next killer after Legion and Ghostface almost 1 1/2 years ago. So what they say and what they do can be 2 very different things. And in the chance that they are already working on a solution to Dull Merchant there are 2 more issues.
1) Time. For BHVR to make big changes to a killer it always takes a lot of time. So until they eventually fix her, we'll still be stuck with this atrocity the way she is.
2) She already got a rework. They had all the feedback from the PTB and still added her to the game in that state. Knowing that a majority of players despised her. Then, they reworked her but they didn't take care of the actual issue. Instead, they somehow made it worse. And adding more ways to contest a 3 gen will punish every other killer as well in the process, when the issue is not 3 gens in general (not after the nerfs to CoB, Overcharge and Eruption) but one specific killer.
Eventually they will have to deal with the monster they created but looking at recent history you can't really blame anyone for being sceptical.
-
If you nerf a killer from good and viable to be more like Nemesis, who punishes himself for using his power instead of playing M1 killer, then you make them less fun in the process. You could nerf his infection after an unhook in the way @Pulsar suggested and that probably wouldn't affect his pick rate in the slightest. But punishing a killer for using their power or making that power borderline useless takes away a lot of the fun.
-
@Sharby said:
I haven't looked into the changes, is the brainless slugging condemned build going to still be viable or is it getting removed?
It's going to be much worse! They basically incentivise slugging one survivor until they either bleed out or they finally get enough hits to fully condemn them. Otz tried it on the PTB and while it wasn't exactly overpowered, it was still better than anything else she could do.
-
@jesterkind said:
This is the problem with trying to boil every single update down into a strict nerf or a strict buff. The answer to your question is... they aren't! They're reworking her!
It's not even that the intent is to make her weaker. The intent is to make her stronger! They just need to change a few things because it's not quite hitting the mark on the PTB, and that's exactly what the PTB is for. This way of looking at things is deeply unhelpful and actively obscures what's going on.
Well, whatever they are doing, it is clear that it will make this killer even less appealing to play. Players won't pick her up for the 25% of a condemned stack any time she teleports, her "reworked" addons or her immunity to stuns as long as she is demanifested. The devs just made her incredibly boring by removing any skill expression she used to have and made her problems even worse. Slugging is now an even better option than before! If that doesn't scream: "bad design" I don't know what does.
And for the people that did play her before, it is cruel to take away everything that made this killer unique and replace it with a shallow and watered down version, that is ultimately less enjoyable than before. They basically give her the Freddy treatment, where regardless if she's stronger or weaker than before, she will no longer be unique, which begs the question: "Why? Why should I play Sadako over any other killer, that does basically the same but much better?"

Its a quality of life change, making killers have to mentalize all the time, hooks states, stack powers, location of survivors, logical and strategic mid chase, remembering it all game make it stressfull, and no one play to that. Yet i don't get the double standart, why survivors should have that and killers are "perfectly without it"?
For hook states I agree. Really nothing good comes from having killer players to keep track of who was hooked how many times. If I want to tunnel someone, then all I have to do is count to 3. As opposed to keeping track of individual hook stages on 4 different survivors.
For Wesker and Plague however, I think it's not a good idea. For Wesker it would only result in more tunneling, which is not exactly a good thing. And for Plague it would give you more information than just their infection progress but also, if the survivor is working on a gen. That is not necessary for a killer that is a top 5 candidate.

So what about if there are 4 bots remaining can the Killer DC or is he forced to finish the match?
The killer gets their dc penalty. I guess you can just wait out the match then because there will be no more players left to ruin the game for but it's definitely unnecessary. It won't be common but it will happen. And if I wanted to play against bots, then that's what I would do.
I just hope they will react to it quickly, if it becomes a problem and not wait for half a year to confirm that an issue is actually an issue (like OverBrian).
-
Plague and Wesker don't really need it. They are perfectly fine without it. As for Sadako, it's part of her skill ceiling. You do get information any time you inflict a condemned stack and now you have to keep a mental checklist. It does make her harder but it's not a huge deal.

She is the worst killer to go against. You can win against a SM. But it's certainly not going to be an enjoyable match.
-
The real problem with Nurse is that your counterplay as a survivor always comes down to: "Hope the Nurse messes up."
You break LoS to make her have to guess. Well, what if she guesses right? You try to fake movements to confuse her and make her overblink. What, if she doesn't fall for that? She is the M1 killer issue in reverse. You will get hit as long as she plays right no matter how good you are. And when she messes up, she still has her 2nd blink to correct a mistake.

At this point I would even be mad, if they nerfed Overcharge again. The perk is worse than before it's buff in 6.1.0 and can only really do something, if used to 3 gen. On a killer that already is good at it. Kill an already dead perk again. Won't make much of a difference for most people anyway.
I haven't seen the game yet and unfortunately couldn't find a link on Knightlight's twitter but this should be enough to warrant extreme measures for BHVR. If a top tier competitive team cannot win a match against this killer in under 50 minutes, then we have a real problem. Nobody wants to either be stuck in a game for 50 minutes or be forced to give up.
Dull Merchant is a problem, that needs to be dealt with. Either BHVR killswitch and rework her or they go to more extreme measures and remove her altogether but something needs to be done.

I mean while I don’t agree with the OP I have to say that Shape and Ghost Face don’t really have to work that hard for their exposure. They can fill those meters up really quickly. Ghost Face can get revealed but that won’t negate his stalking meter - only temporarily disable his power.
But they both invest time in stalking that they would otherwise use to chase. Not to mention that this is literally the only thing that makes their powers somewhat viable. Imagine, if they both didn't have the ability to expose survivors. They would easily drop to be the worst killers in the game.
-
What game are you talking about? Because in DBD the killer's hitbox is mostly a non-issue. There are like 4 perks that actually block pallets and / or windows and 2 of them are Hex totems. Aura vision is mostly a non-factor in loops because a killer cannot reliable trigger it (besides I'm All Ears with its massive cooldown), so really all it does is help the killer get into the next chase quicker.
Bubba's chainsaw by default only lasts 2 seconds per charge. That is nowhere near 20 seconds. And most killers don't have insta down powers. And the ones that do, mostly have to do quite a lot for it. Like Bubba or Billy having to actually hit you with their chainsaws and Myers and Ghostface having to stalk survivors beforehand.
-
If you enjoy playing M1 killer with a bit of stealth, then Myers should have everything you're looking for. However, there is a difference between Myers' and Ghostace's stealth abilities. Myers has a smaller terror radius in tier 2 but is not undetectable like Ghostface.

Playing video games is a privilege, not a right.
But let's assume you are correct, is it not also the right of the four other players to have a fair, functional match?
This is not a minor inconvenience, the game simply ceases to function for the survivors if they have over 150 latency, you're better off just going next which completely kills the spirit of the game.
It is within their control because anyone who can install a game on their computer or console should be aware that playing on servers thousands of miles from your home country will be a heavily degraded experience, combine that with the fact that there are custom games vs survivor bots and there's no excuse.
You miss the point. When you pay money for a video game (or any product), you agree to contract. This contract binds both you and the one selling their product to a set of rules. Meaning you as a customer also have certain rights. In the case of online multiplayer games, these rules are specified (mostly) in the EULA.
If BHVR decided to 'punish' their customers for something outside their control, something that is not in any way considered in the contract, they get in trouble. From a legal perspective. Which means, they would now have to change the contract in hindsight, which is possible (perks of running a live game) but not quite so easy, if it ends up in terminating service (or part of it) for some people. Granted, I'm not familiar with the proceedings in that regard, so I'm not sure what exactly BHVR would have to do in order to change their terms of service in that way and I won't speculate on it any further.
You cannot blame the customers for living in a certain place. If anything, you would need to blame this on BHVR. They market their game in these regions and there is no section in the game's EULA that says that a customer needs to have a sufficiently strong connection to the servers to be allowed to play the game in full capacity. As long as you are able connect to the servers, you fulfill the requirements in that regard.
-
Why would punish the players for something outside of their control? That makes no sense. They bought the game and have as much a right to play as you or anyone else for that matter. You can't punish them simply because their connection is not good enough by your standards.
-
"DBD is a pvp game and if the survivor goes down they should accept it and hook suicide." There. I turned it around. You see how ridiculous this sounds?
Why shouldn't survivors and killers try to go for a comeback? Do you give up every game as soon as something doesn't go your way? I should hope not because otherwise you might want to touch some grass.
The only way to completely get rid of tunneling and camping is to replace killers by bots. And even that wouldn't suffice as long as the killer remains on the map after hooking someone or they don't hook all survivors in order.
-
I think Demo is one of the easier killers to play against. He can try and zone you but it's mostly not going to work, if you run the loop correct. STBFL is probbly his best perk and can feel mandatory at times, which is part of the reason almost every Demo runs it.
I personally don't mind Demogorgon. I won't pay someone to play Demogorgon against me but I'm fine with him.

Next original DLC is free for them if they bought it with real money.
Shards are refunded.
Yeah, something like this would be fine (probably). Although, they should do something like "One original DLC of your choice for free." to be safe.
I just hope they'll deal with this situation soon and then get back to designing good killers. I have played against her twice and it felt worse than even old Freddy (the one that was overpowered and weak at the same time).
To be honest it's not just @Pulsar. It's a big part of the player base that despises this killer. If you have fun playing her, then good for you but really it's miserable for everyone else. Dull Merchant should have never made it to live. The devs got all the feedback they needed to know that this would not go over well on the PTB and yet they still released her in this state. Even after her rework she is still terrible. Not even in terms of strength but everything else.
She is incredibly boring to play (in my opinion), objectively the worst killer to play against, her animations look janky and more like a parody of women (Have you seen her walk?!), her chase music is one of the worst in the game (literally a 3 second loop), her lore is convoluted and poorly written and her visual design is boring and uninspired. BHVR really messed up with this killer.

what if bloodlust worked in reverse way. you start as bloodlust 3 when outside of a chase and bloodlust decays every 5 second when entering a chase.
Then the killer would either get unfair hits before a survivor has any chance to make it to a loop, or the killer is punished even more for terrible map design than they are now. Either way it would be frustrating. That would also result in killers moonwalking to start a chase as late as possible.
Edit: Actually, do it BHVR! I want to see moonwalking Myers be a viable strategy!

It pretty much sounds like you’re saying that the top 5% fun doesn’t matter.
They do. But only as a 5% ratio. They are neither more nor less important than anyone else. When you have to decide who to make game fun for, then it should be obvious. The game won't survive for only the top 5%. I'm not saying to throw balance out the window but to focus on the majority of players, which happen to be casuals.

I'm against it. Players already disconnect fairly often. There really is no need to increase that rate even more.
If players were allowed to dc on a whim that would not only happen like once every 5 games but probably a vast majority of games. Someone is going to find a reason to disconnect. Maps, items, addons, killers, play styles, small mistakes, team mates, rng and offerings. Just pick one. Someone will find one thing at fault and just disconnect. Then 1 disconnect would lead to the next and so on and the killer would be left to play against bots or also dc.

Trapper: Not my kind of killer but I'm mostly fine playing against him. As long as it's not a basement Trapper.
Wraith: I personally do not enjoy playing against him but I do like playing as him every now and then.
Hillbilly: My beloved child abuse victim with a chainsaw. Incredibly hard to play, super punishing and at times a very infuriarating experience. But sooo worth it when you finally hit that sick curve on a teabagging Ace. Could use some quality of life improvements and better addons but is otherwise fine.
Nurse: Meh.
Huntress: I suck at aiming hatchets but I love playing against her. Just please don't snipe all of us across the map. That feels super bad. 😂
The Shape: "Hihihi, you think I need to hook you before I kill you? Think again, Megan."
Hag: I don't love playing against her but I'm fine with it every once in a while. Can be quite fun to play too.
Doctor: My second main. Often underestimated. Now that his strongest perks are gone he is mostly fun to verse too. As long as your team mates don't play like they really lost their sanity.
Cannibal: Booba.
Freddy: I don't know why but I have a soft spot for him. I kinda like his animations. I still think he should be reworked.
Pig: Not my favorite killer to verse. For some reason my team mates seem to love gen rushing through Tempered Timer...
Clown: Needs help. His coughing doesn't sound healthy at all.
Spirit: Meh.
Legion: Stabby, stabby!
Plague: Someone get that woman an antiemetic!
Ghostface: I'm indifferent about him.
Demogorgon: Good Demodoggy.
Oni: Seriously needs anger management therapy.
Deathslinger: Still think he needs 1 real bullet.
Executioner: Have you seen that booty?
Blight: Gotta go fast.
Twins: Do. Not. Kick. The baby!
Trickster: Meh.
Nemesis: He killed Meg! We all saw it!
Cenobite: He came.
Artist: Caw.
Sadako: Sadako in DBD feels like child abuse. Pure girl crawled out of a well and is now getting bullied.
Dredge: He is in the game.
Wesker: Pog performance indeed.
Knight: Well... Shift + W, I guess.
Dull Merchant: You disappoint me. Is that the best you've got?
Singularity: I'm done with this guy. Way too hard for he actually does.

Brother, I started playing this game not only when it was in a WAY WAY WAY worst state than it is now, but also on a rig worst than old gen console. I got an average of 15-20 fps on the absolute lowest settings possible and eventually the PC gave out because running an at the time even more unoptimized game on intergrated graphics on a CPU that was over a decade old wasnt very good for it.
I dealt with that for over a third of my playtime, (2.4k hours to be exact, from mid 2017 to late 2019) and wanna know what I didnt do? ######### and moan that it was the games fault because despite me being at a severe disadvantage, I still did just fine and I see several players on console do just fine.
The platform isnt the reason why youre making mistakes, that I can promise you
Agreed. Although more optimization couldn't hurt.

Other games don’t balance for casuals and still do just fine. BHVR released a statistic years ago when DS was first nerfed that showed literally no change in escape rate. Casuals aren’t good enough at the game for most balancing to matter.
I disagree. Keep in mind that the vast majority of all DBD players are casuals and they absolutely do feel even smaller changes. The game shouldn't be incredibly unbalanced at the top, sure. But more important than balancing is fun. A game cannot survive, if only the top 5% have fun playing it.
So BHVR do not only need to care that everything is somewhat balanced but also that the game remains fun for all levels of play. That is where most problems with lower tier killers lay. Many of them just aren't fun. I won't play Trapper, if it means the only way I can deal with good teams is by playing basement Trapper. I won't play Singularity, Knight or SM no matter how strong they are as long as I don't enjoy them. And I wouldn't play survivor, if gens took 2 minutes to complete just so that at the highest level weaker killers could compete.
