Hell yea! I mean I'd rather she just be deleted from the game but I get that they can't do that.
This will do just fine, thank you devs.
-
Vecna is pretty good against people who aren't very aware of Vecna's kit or what they're looking to do in chase versus you.
I think I'm a pretty good survivor against Vecna but I can't stress this enough. Do NOT panic throw pallets or pre drop them. Instead, take a look around and see what you can potentially chain into. He slows down briefly for the pallet power and that is your chance to make more distance or chain to another tile.
The main thing I see people do wrong is the pallet dropping. Its what leads to a chase ending in 10 seconds opposed to 30 seconds. He goes on CD when he can't land his pallet reset. And during that downtime, you have every pallet to use that you want & he can't do anything about it besides taking time to break it or rush bloodlust around the tile, hoping to catch or bait you.
If you can outplay or bait his pallet power, he's nothing more than an M1 (assuming you already know how to deal with everything else). I do think Dark Lord is more efficient with his downs.
-
I'm not going to make excuses that the biased killer mains are making ('you just had an off day, it happens' LOL).
But it seems you guys aren't very good, b/c you shouldn't be losing this much if you're actually playing to win w/ a 4 stack. You are bringing so many advantages to the match and still losing. This is not the fault of the killer, but the people you are playing with.
-
No
As reply says
-
I'll keep it 10/10 1hundid stack with you.
Lights Out was pretty bad. Most people tried it out and immediately stopped playing it (after they obtained the event rewards). It favored one side drastically unless they were very very bad or meming.
Chaos Shuffle was the better one. Not by much. But it was better.
The mode we need and want is 2v8. The others arent even close to that level of enjoyment (also crazy 230+ perks per side were basically null/void & people loved it).
-
Completely disagree.
P100 is and will always be a TIME INVESTMENT. Nothing more. You can be complete garbage at this game, both sides and regardless, you get BP and can level/prestige up.
It has almost little to no correlation w/ skill. You can have absolutely no map/UI/situation awareness and still rank up till you inevitably hit P100.
P100 means nothing on either side.
-
No, if you look at some of the old maps, they had atmosphere and immersion. A lot more fog too.
Most maps are incredibly washed out in color and have almost no fog. And most people don't even run the offering for more fog. Wish it'd be reverted.
-
The biggest downside to her is her CD reduction to loading up hatchets in 2v8. Which means she can miss hatchets and basically not be punished w/ the slowdown. She'll miss a shot and almost immediately load another hatchet up. A lot of players are just…uhm, bad (dont tell them that!).
-
It was fun at the start. For 1 game session.
I think people are just really receptive to it b/c its more or less, the same as 1v4 but with more people & any change is good change.
This game's been out for nearly 8 years (correct me if I'm wrong, just ballparking here atm) & it took them 7+ years to start adding in other game modes. Thats absolutely pathetic. Good thing they don't got any competition.
-
No not really.
Its just an easy game to boot up for a few matches at the end of the night. No real comp scene, nothing to strive towards, 1 default game mode w/ some temporary variety sprinkled in.
-
- I asked you a hypothetical that you didn't answer b/c we both know your answer. WoO is not a problem, you saying it is a problem doesn't make it one. Weave + Franklins is a problem as it completely negates items while also giving you tons of information on a near constant basis during the match. Your rationality for a nerf to WoO is pretty bad. You're just using the 'if they nerf killer perks, they should nerf survivor perks too' mentality. If its a problem on either side, it should be looked at. That simple. And actually I can. B/c those items give us power, give us boost to repairs, healing, saves, etc. You'd be absolutely livid if your add-ons were able to be disabled or taken away for periods of time. But of course that isn't the same to you b/c it doesn't fit your narrative you're trying to spin.
- Learning resistance? So you think its healthy for a game to have perks in it, where as soon as a match begins, the go-to move is run to a corner and drop whatever item you have in your hands, out of fear that the perks are in play. Yea that seems very very healthy and not at all irritating for the survivors to deal with. And that isn't a reality, especially in solo que. But you clearly don't play solo que if you're actually bringing this idea up.
- 'No one I know relies on aura'. Well then you just don't know very many killer mains, cause A LOT of people rely on aura to constantly give them info and get into chases back-to-back to keep up the pressure. Please explain how WoO counters your builds. It leads us to a pallet or lets us know no pallet is in the area. So explain how that perk stops you from using 200+ perks on killer side. People are using the 'gool ol reliable' just as they've ALWAYS done b/c those are the strongest perks and they synergize with each other. I think people are entirely open to changes, as long as they are coming from a game health perspective and not a 'you hurt one side, you better hurt the other', which is what this is.
- Well, just cause you don't see them doesn't mean they don't show up here. Been plenty of times where people come to the forums to ask pretty basic questions. You can easily do a forum search. Kate isn't a 'must have', its just the character people recommend b/c of WoO. You can still start out just fine on someone like Meg (which is who a lot of people also recommend if you aren't immediately buying a character).
- I literally explained the reasoning in that point. You are defending Weave + Franklins which completely negates items while giving you tons of info throughout the entire match and comparing it to a perk that shows survivors where a pallet is. If you think they are anywhere on the same level in terms of strength, you're livin in a fantasy world. I didn't say I was better at the game, I just said your reasoning is bad.
- "we" as in the community does not need it. Its not a problem. You wanting it nerfed is for disingenuous reasons, not valid ones. Just like how people wanted a nerf to Iron Will but then it became completely useless, or the infamous Distortion by people claiming it was for game health reasons when in reality it just pissed the player off that they couldn't find the Distortion user consistently.
- You're asking me to list these sources like I keep them on file to just pull up anytime in discussions, lol. Go watch some killer mains and tell me they struggle. Hexy was on a 95%+ winstreak as Wraith for over 3 months, to the point people started trolling him if he managed to lose a match. Tru3tal3nt, another recognizable killer main, took RANDOM 'builds' from chatters and tried to go on winstreaks w/ certain killers. I didn't watch the whole thing but he hit 33 wins on Cenobite before he lost. Go watch literally any killer main play for a little bit. I don't need to provide vods and clips when its literally in their gameplay and you can do your own research too. I don't need to provide everything for you and those 2 examples I mentioned speak volumes anyways. If WoO was such a problem for these actual good killer mains, they'd bring it up a lot more. Its not b/c its not a problem and you are just trying to make it seem like one.
You are coming from a disingenuous and biased perspective, you're not in it for game health or to mix things up. Just like the people who wanted Iron Will & Distortion nerfed into the ground.

You’re probably not going to like this comment, but I’ve been on these forums for about two years now and it’s always been pretty consistently killer sided which I think is what can cause a bit of animosity on sides sadly.
You can say I’m feeding into the ‘us vs them ‘ mentality if you want, that’s fine, but it’s just an observation.
Agreed with this & I think most people can easily identify that this forum is killer sided for the most part. My observation too. Not trying to make it a us vs them though cause I actually love discussing things on both sides, as long as blatant bias isn't shown (but it is a lot of times). I get OPs point, though.

I don't like whataboutism, but if WoO doesn't need a nerf, then Weave + Franklin's doesn't either.
See it like this:
The survivor sees the resources in an area.
As a killer, my resource is the survivor for I need hooks and gens for I need to defend them (the latter I see constantly). I can (if I'd run the combo mentioned) see the survivor constantly.
The easy way to counter 2 perks on killer is to take item, run corner, drop item.
I would need blindness addons/perks to do the same.
Just as Distortion (counters like 70+ things or something), WoO limits killer builds. I can't see you? Gen regression. I can't outmindgame you since you only hold W? Gen regression, hit and run. Why run blindness, if gen regression/slowdown is better overall?
Granted I don't play that way, because I don't play to win, since I play both sides and I know how frustrating getting tunneled might be for certain individuals that don't want to learn chase.
Kate may be a non licensed character, but you can not tell me a new player instantly knows about the perk and uses it unless they get told to get Kate, level her up and use her perk.
If survivors keep yapping about killer perks, the killers are allowed to voice their opinion on survivor perks that are overused, too.
Your reasoning isn't good enough to accept a "No, a nerf is not needed."
What is the reason people wouldn't accept a cooldown after a rushed action for example? You can preplan your route, memorize, execute. Instead of just "me see yellow me press space" (yoinked that from JRM).
Besides learnresistance there is no other reason.
If I have to learn to anticipate people hiding behind a rock edgemap or others living in lockers, survivors can easily learn looping too, no?So I'm going to address your entire post in points.
- So you say Weave + Franklins is not a problem. But I ask you this; if survivors were able to dismiss/disable your killer add-ons + get aura to see where you are, would you not have a problem with it?
- Most people don't just go around a corner and drop the item, b/c (you know this) they don't know its in play yet. Once its in play and realized by the survivors, its too late. That isn't healthy gameplay b/c if we knew what perks a killer was running like Franklins + Weave, we wouldn't even bother running an item in the first place.
- Distortion counters aura. If you rely on aura and you come across someone or multiple people running Distortion, why shouldn't they punish you? Also please explain how WoO limits your build.
- I can't speak for all new players but I've seen many times, people come into these forums asking about what specific character to get since they are new to the game. The general consensus is Kate is 1 of the best to unlock b/c of WoO. And she isn't exactly locked behind anything special, besides currency.
- My reasoning is a lot better than yours. You are actually trying to defend Weave + Franklins which completely negates items while giving killers a huge advantage b/c people want to use the items they bring in. WoO is used for a variety of reasons, by newcomers and veterans alike.
- We don't want a cooldown b/c its not needed. That simple. You guys tried the same thing with Distortion, pretending it was for 'game health reasons', talking about how the 1 person on the team w/ Distortion would get the other teammates tunneled/given more pressure (when in reality, it probably caused killers to lose games b/c they couldnt rely on aura).
- Many content creators as well as experienced killers disagree with you. A lot of killer mains have extreme egos and will never admit fault in their gameplay. The actual good killers, don't really care about WoO. Its a useful perk for survivors but it does not = a won game.
-
No, a nerf is not needed.
This perk helps a ton of people, not just veterans but mostly newcomers to the game.
Its already overwhelming as it is, coming into the game with 200+ perks on each side, bloodweb grind, what killers are good, bad, how to play against each specific killer, etc.
This thread feels exactly like a 'Nerf Distortion' thread, lol.
-
Too many cases of people complaining about things when skill/decisions they make are the biggest reason they lose.
But they won't admit that, EVER.
Gotta keep that ego strong.
-
Yea lost a match basically b/c of this. Just people goin for saves and repeatedly dying/getting caught so the pressure is always on the survivors.
-
It has nothing to do with girls, stop making it weird.
They do it, regardless of the character you're playing. They just want to make you tilt and head to the forums to make a thread about it.
TBH, nothing wrong with it. Don't take it personally, don't get easily offended over the smallest thing, and move on. Easy.
-
He's always been 1 of my favorites to go against, just b/c of his pinball style power.
But he's also had some of the strongest addons that went unchecked for far too long, and when they were finally, some of them took multiple edits/changes and now were here.I do think good players didn't mind him as much. But the new players and a lot of solo que enjoyers found him crazy oppressive, not just b/c of his addons & all the techs but survivors were already going into the match solo, so having a teammate on your team who wasn't good in chase or didn't last long in chase vs Blight, was far more likely & that just resulted in even more games lost.
It was like a stacked card against yours.

What the post is truly getting at, if you actually read it, is that most people ONLY say GG when they win…
Like how is being toxic all game, then saying GG, in any way, sportsmanlike?I read it. Saying don't say GG when you win (cause its disrespectful). "If you're gonna be sportsmanlike, at least wait for the loser to say it first, otherwise, say nothing or leave some encouragement." Literally at the end of the post, if you actually read it.
So again, I can ONLY show sportsmanship IF the loser says GG first? What kind of stupid logic is that? If anyone's being unsportsmanlike and a sore loser, its the OP attributing everyone saying GG to him who wins, as 'disrespectful'.
I don't care if you don't want to say it. But you don't get to tell me when I can say it b/c you are in your feelings over it and have this weird unhealthy outlook on 2 words.
The 'being toxic all game, then saying GG' is literally the only legit example that I agree on. That sucks but that isn't every match. And people don't just say GG for toxic reasons.
-
People with this mentality seem so odd to me.
So I can't say GG after having a good match that ended with me…winning? I'm only allowed to say it when I lose? I have to wait for someone to say GG to me if I win so that I can say GG to them and not be disrespectful? I can see your point if it was an awful match, you didn't get much done, people d/c'd or killed themselves, barely anyone hooked, etc. But in general, no I will not care if someone says GG to me first and they won the match.
If you care this much about stuff this stupid & you let it upset you, you should not be playing a PvP game. Chances are you find every little thing someone does or doesn't do, disrespectful with this mindset.
Someone already pointed this out but its sportsmanship. Say it regardless of winning or losing. I played football/soccer for 8 years & at the end of every match, regardless of the outcome, both teams lined up at center of field and shook hands.
Don't be a sore loser. No one likes those.
-
Morning-mid afternoon is the best for me.
Nighttime is like..IDK, a nightmare. Lol, just kidding. But its bad. I die far more & I'm lucky if I get 1-2 escapes. Usually its cause my teammates either snowball, give up, go down in 10 seconds, don't do gens.
That happens during the day too, don't get me wrong. But overall I have a better experience playing midday as I don't get the bad matches as often.
-
The thing is, a lot of people who play one side or the other - ARE NOT OBJECTIVE. So many people are biased as hell and can't approach topics neutrally. They see the thread title and immediately go in guns blazing in defense.
They do not care or agree about how bad you have it. You can ask notable killer mains. The good ones are honest and tell you they stomp 9/10 matches. The bad ones excuse themselves, make up reasons for why they lost, whether its a perk, item or SWF they believe to be Seal Team 6.
Tru3Talent was going on a random perk winstreak (his chat donated builds for him to use, often meme builds or ones that dont synergize) where he totalled I think 33 wins in a row regardless of killer, before he finally lost.
Hexy, another notable killer main was vocal every time he was live about how easy he had it when playing Killer. He never touched Blight, Spirit or Huntress. He won 99% of his matches if not all his matches as Wraith, who most people regard as B tier. This was over 5-6 months ago.
Anyways, its nothing new. This been going on for years. The back n forth.
Just wish there were more people who didn't immediately go on the defense for the role they main.

Quiet mode and spawn pallets is fine tho? Why are Survs allowed to have several abilities at once but killers dont?
I mean, the strength comparison is absurd is what I'm dialing in on. Survivors can spawn a party pallet that is near useless & against any good killer main, is basically just a meme. Quiet mode is like a mini-buffed up Iron Will so I won't get into that, as its still useful in chase.
But you compare stun reduction, insta pallet destroying to completely deny any tile mindgames or possibility of getting to another tile, a remote hook ability that hooks survivors for you…everything just gives the killer more efficiency.
If you're going to give them multiple abilities at once, it should be on the same level as survivor's.
-
I just don't understand why killers get access to several abilities at once. I went against an insta-pallet destroying remote hooking Blight & that was a lil much. So he doesn't have to break pallets or even take me to the hook. Very reasonable.
-
1/2.
At the end of the day, its entitlement.
A killer's job is to kill and a survivor's is to survive. If they know you have Evil Incarnate, why would they just roll over and give it to you? Doesn't matter what side you're on. Expecting people to help you with your achievements in a PvP based game is only going to set you up for disappointment & frustration, even more so.
-
I agree & disagree.
On 1 hand it sucks for the smaller non-Fog Whisperer streamers, I agree there.
On the other hand, you're a small streamer who nobody/vast majority of the community doesn't know or has even heard of, you want drops enabled for more viewership (which benefits you, the streamer more than any other party) & you don't really have to do anything in return besides stream the game. Just b/c you stream the game doesn't entitle you to drops. If that were the case, a lot of people would be mad about this, not just in DBD but many other games. This isn't anything new. The cold hard truth is that those channels don't really offer or benefit BHVR in any way. A few people checking a streamer out is nothing in comparison to the thousands+ that come to the other bigger channels.
-
???
B/c you shouldn't be allowed to lobby shop. Survivors can't see the killer they're facing and thats been asked for years. It would lead to even more lobby shopping. You would just leave lobbies left and right until you find a lobby with solo que novices that you can stomp just so you feel good.
-
B/c people like to complain about problems far more than actually attempting solutions.
"do something about swf"
"ok voice chat enabled, optional, mutable, not required"
"no not that, voice chat will turn toxic"
If voice chat is never added in, solo que will never ever be even close to SWF's level of coordination. And so this whole 'nerf SWF' discussion that pops up often is pointless. The solution/bridge closer is obvious. BHVR just doesn't want to go that route.
-
Wraith is the easiest to pick up, is straight forward and relatively strong (if you employ hit and run). His power is easy to understand and use. Nothing about him screams difficulty and is perfect for new players.
-
-
I'd say he's pretty fun on both sides, as long as he isn't the face-camping till they're dead type.
I also barely see him anymore, think I've gone against 1 in the last month.
-
No one should be forced to stay in a match they aren't enjoying. BHVR is to blame, nobody else.
-
Yea he's pretty fun to play against personally. It doesn't matter if its a baby Blight or a skilled Blight. He's very oppressive but a lot of people exaggerate it. A lot of times, the Blight has counter play, there are loops that just waste his time if he uses his powerr & his kit in general being a wrecking pinball is one you have to keep in mind when running with him right behind you.
But it also really depends on your team. Probably more than anything. A bad team is like free food for the killer.
-
Its a new player perk (even though you need to grind and unlock a character for it) so hopefully it doesn't get the nerf-bat. Its not a problematic perk just b/c of how popular it is. Its just the new perk a lot of killer mains are crying about b/c they always want the 1 for 1 treatment where if something happens to a perk or killer they main/use, they'll want the same thing applied to survivors and something they main/use.
-
Perks fine. Doesn't need any adjustments.
People really need to stop nitpicking the other side's perks (just out of sake of popularity, not from a gamebreaking/balance perspective).
There's a reason people complained about Eruption & Ultimate Weapon. Just like the people who complained about old Dead Hard being used for distance.
When people bring up perks like this (recently Distortion as well), it just makes me think they're incredibly biased towards 1 side and their credibility goes down IMO.
-
Most of us saw this coming..albeit I agree its a lil over the top. I was expecting it to be worse though.
-
No for the most part. It means nothing. Just gives me more items and stuff to hoard. Tedious to spend. Not a reason for me to boot up the game.
-
Probably in relation to the hacks being injected into Apex Legends right now, specifically in regards to people seeing that pro player get hacked in the middle of a huge tournament mid-match.
-
To be fair, mentioning the streamers is ok. You're not badmouthing or attacking them. Momo was the Blight & Superalf was the Nurse.
And I'm glad their streaks ended, it shouldn't even be a thing.
-
Wesker, hands down for me.

People often act like it's some sort of big factor, but does anyone actually weigh perks heavily when choosing a survivor? Or a killer for that matter? I'm looking at this from the perspective of someone who picks up everything anyway, but I think what perks a character comes is this pretty close to a non-factor, since almost everyone is just going slap a bunch of pre-existing perks on them anyway. Especially survs, who are essentially just skins of each other.
It's not like she's licensed and will cost actual money. Most people with a spare 9K shards are gong to pick her up.
And no one will ever dethrone Feng simply because so many people already have a metric ton of cosmetics for her. But I'd bet Sable is going to be the most popular new surv in years, and will having some staying power. And I'd be stunned if BHVR doesn't immediately start loading her up with cosmetics; she's going to be a great vehicle for selling them.
Depends who you ask..me? I don't purchase any survivor just based on looks or visual. If they got good or interesting perks, then I start to consider it.
As for killer, different cause they have a unique power to them. Like I love Blight's kit of being a bouncing wrecking ball, so I got him for that alone. I mean 9k shards is 9k shards I could use on something else like a cool cosmetic. I don't need a big library of survivors w/ bad perks. I'm not obtaining survivors just to...have a bunch of survivors to pick from. Most people have 1-3 survivors that they cycle through anyways. I'll obtain survivors only if 1) perks are decent or I see myself using them 2) they are appealing both in visuals and audio (like grunts of pain or how loud they are, how the character is animated, etc).
I think Sable will see some popularity in the beginning & then fall off like all the others, IMO.
-
She won't come even close. Not worth it when it comes to perks.
No doubt you'll see more of her when she releases, like the usual. But besides that, no.
-
Dredge is good. The other 2 aren't scary at all.
-
The trade offs aren't worth it. I'd rather just avoid those 'invocations' altogether since its likely just going to make it easier for killers to win their matches. The only one that might be used is Strength in Shadows honestly.
-
Always played solo. I think I SWF'd once, a year or two ago just to try it & I was not surprised to find how easy it was playing with people and using comms to call things out. And then I went right back to solo. Literally 1 play session was all it took for me to realize SWF was not for me.
Yes it can be torturous.. Yes some days are better than others. But I like not knowing anybody on my team. Coming together to win or try our best to win. Its an actual challenge most of the time. And when you get a team that actually plays efficiently, has team and situation awareness, it does feel really good. Those matches where it feels like all 4 teammates are connected to a hivemind and acting almost to the degree of an SWF. Those feel great but they're pretty rare.
-
I wish we had an option of just auto leveling 1-50 in 1 press of a button. Instead of having to click the auto option for every bloodweb.
-
If people want to give up, there's nothing you can do. Saving them doesn't change anything. I guess, if you really want to spite them or get some altruism points. But 99% if someone has given up, they are leaving either way. You aren't anyone's teacher and its not your lesson to teach.
And sometimes like others said, its fine to die on hook. You're only as good as your teammates and if they're doing absolutely nothing while the killer is actively trying to win, then yea. I'm going to the next match ASAP. Cause I don't want teammates that waste my time and don't do objectives, go for saves, etc. If your idea of fun is to mess with mine and meme around, then do you. I am not being forced to stay in a match with 2-3 teammates that don't do what they should be doing.
General consensus is that your teammates are the real killers, b/c most of the time, its not even the killer the survivor is frustrated with. Its their teammates. And I don't blame anyone for leaving a match ASAP when their teammates play like crap, or do barely anything.
I want to win. I don't care for meming, farming, the amount of bp's I get from a certain match, etc. I want to win. Thats it.
Although I agree, it sucks when people give up out of the blue and your teammates are trying to do gens, run the killer, go for saves, etc. When it happens to teams that don't deserve it, I agree.
-
Ok, hell yea. Guess going to Reddit was my mistake, lmao. Will watch this tonight.
Thanks for the link!
-
So I searched up Nea being the entity..finding out its just b/c of the meme lol. 🤣
Damnit I thought it was going to be this insane theory with like 10 different points all connecting to each other..
-
Big picture - who cares, there will be plenty of events and modifier game modes that come in the future. This was an experiment and an introduction to modifiers. & guess what - I didn't finish it either. No big deal.
Crying about this changes nothing (its over) and pointing your pitchfork at Nebula who just plugged what the CM said on this & wanted to help, is poor behavior. Stop being offended over the dumbest of things.
