the perks wont change the gen speed, the gen speed is broken, the core problem with the game is weak killers, gen speed is too fast, hex totems are too easy to cleanse, and maps is complete rng, if a nerf should be done to perks, then bt t3 should be 30%, and ds t3 should be 40sec instead of 60,

and noed should be nerfed if the gens would get 30% nerf for their speed, but then if this happen then freddy fake pallet should be reduced to 4 fakes instead of 10, and his genslowdown perks should be reworked. for the sake of the weaker community lel.

Excuse me ? There indeed weaker killers than others around but you can't make an asymetrical game with a perfect RNG each game, it woudn't be balanced at all for either of the sides. Thus this idea of making gen repairs higher would make slow down killers a nightmare in every rank.

At least a new meta will be refreshing. It will also fix how common these metas are. The pick rate of some of these meta perks is astronomical compared to most perks, which isn't a healthy sign.

I mean who's in is right mind would pick Hangman trick or Slippery Meat, they're TOO situationnal compared to "meta" perks you're sure to use at least once per game.

Thats the problem of many perks, certain has a great use every game, and MANY, MANY, others are way too situationnal or has to many requirements to put to good use (hello Ash perks !) or even has better counterparts (Hi Steve perks). or even just not really useful (wassup PH perks).

Who would pick Babysitter instead of borrowed time, Calm spirit over Iron will or spine chill over premonition. they're just better perks who has the same purpose.

This thread got dumb. Here are the issues. You can argue these issues, but these are all waaaaah-take-my-ball-and-go-home arguments because I DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH THE SCARY MECHANIC WAAAAH THEY DIDN'T FOLLOW SOME ARBITRARY RULES AND NOW I AM MAD.

    • Hook suiciding -- especially at the beginning of the match -- is a penalty-free way of disconnecting. While the struggle mechanic continues to exist in this manner, these players should be penalized for doing this, because it serves the same purpose.
    • By doing this, you are choosing not to play, even though you willfully queued up with full knowledge of the game mechanics that possibly awaited you at the other end of the loading screen. If you're going to play Dead by Daylight, then PLAY DEAD BY DAYLIGHT. Otherwise just don't queue up for a match?
    • The struggle mechanic really should be reworked to prevent players from taking a suicide option, because it is never used for anything other than a) griefing the rest of the team and b) giving someone a cheap hatch escape.
    • The "team" aspect of Dead by Daylight is tenuous, since (barring extraordinary SWF coordination) it is a "team" of four players who are working toward a common goal, but are incentivized to prioritize their own safety and victory, and they do not always win or lose together. Therefore, there should not be a mechanic present that allows them to weaponize this mercurial attitude to grief other players penalty-free.
    • Behaviour (hey @Peanits why does no one respond to these kinds of threads) is POSITIVELY INSANE and super tone-deaf for introducing an even worse hook mechanic with the Silent Hill killer, requiring skill checks to not die. This is the exact opposite of what they should be doing, because it is going to lead to more angst for all of the above-stated reasons. It's like they're actively greenlighting this kind of griefing.

The downside of Pyramid head is bc of the skillchecks a survivor can still potentially save you.

  • Since they won't add Brenda into the game bc people think it don't belongs here, should we count all the white licenced characters ? it greatly increases the diversity.

  • Autodicdic is thanatophobia legion worst fear.

  • Can a dev intervene and solve this awful riddle between those Feng Min stans ?

  • Done it in a single try, I putted a Bond, Empathy, Alert and some people uses stake out to help counting how much time you spent around the killer but I used a timer. you can use urban evasion or fixated instead for example.

Thats the only perks you need since you want to follow the killer around.

Put a the game offering and follow the killer from the different level of where he is, you can also borrow a key with the killer detection addons to detect him early, but be prepared to die since you're going to be useless to your teammates the whole game.

I'm talking about the "choosing to not struggle on the hook" bit. I mean, I think the whole struggle mechanic needs to be redesigned so as not to give the player any agency in dying or not, but until then, it's incumbent on the player to not be a jerk.

What if my finger accidendently slips from the struggle button and I get sacrificed while trying to kobe beforehand, should I be banned due to a poor gameplay mechanic who asks you to smack your keyboard to death to remain in this exhausting and horrible trial where everyone is on last hook and 4 gens need to be done ?

I really want to know, might not be banned because people can be clumsy sometimes.

  • Megren is going to complain to the entity in a second.

  • @Gomolazoli said:

I think he should be immune to that just to make sense. He’s already immune to meaningful blinds anyway so it wouldn’t be bad for balance. Flashlight saves against him is impossible after all. And if you blind him at a pallet you just get whooped by his ranged.

You mean adding even more gameplay privileges than he already have ?

  • Dance with me, Diversion, Red herring and Quick & Quiet.

  • Did it on the first attempt, but I really felt dirty about it, I mean I never play as a blendette and I wonder how people have fun by acting as a bush and doing nothing but avoiding the killer 🙄

I'll suggest to anyone those perks , Stake Out since it helps with the timing , Bond and Empathy to locate your fellow teammates who get chased and maybe even alert if it can help locate the killer. And The game offering, just follow the killer from the different level of where he is and it's real free estate.

If you didn’t wanna be in the game why did you queue up? Oh you mean you only want to be in the game against bad killers like Clown, without Ruin, and he can’t spot you first, or down you... because those all spoil the game.

Alos how do killers get out a game in the first minute without DC?

Killer can't either die or be screwed over by their teammates.

  • It's as clueless than saying "Don't wake up if you're going to sleep anyways".

  • (TBH I feel like the popularity of the survivor kinda helps with their final decision), I mean the last winner was Feng, now Claudette I woudn't be surprised if the next one is Meg or Kate since they're the most popular female survivors after those two.

They saw a decent design of Claudette, (which is unfortunally not Frogdette) and they told them they might aswell.

  • I dunno but I'm eager to see their microwaves.

  • Small game : Still does the audio cue for totems and tell how much are standing, reveal the aura of the trap discovered by the perk.

With the high CD of the perk, it's still fair since it only reveal one trap and there can still be plenty around. and would make Small Game a reliable tool on solo queue and for new survivors players.

  • Be honest, sometimes you rather die on first hook while it's still 5 gens and every survivors is crouching next to you while the killer is proxi camping. this scenario is far from uncommon.

Solo queue can be a pain sometimes, you won't punish survivors who just want a game they can enjoy.

  • If they wanted so bad a spring/summer related cosmetic, they could have picked that awesome Yui cosmetic or the awesome pool party Jeff design who competed.

I'm pretty against community polls though, a wide enough community could get the choice on every winner.

  • I mean it's not as bad than Ash perks.

well, it figured out how to make a hoodie for feng min, so why not for claudia this time, they must 've thought

You get a hoodie, you get a hoodie everybody gets a hoodie !

  • He's a blendette main.

A bit disapointed for the survivor winner though, there were a lot of good designs my favorite was Pool Party Jeff, but they were a lot of good Yui skins too. At least it's not a Feng/Kate who won beside their incredible amount of submissions and plenty of Biker Kate recolors.

For legion, (not that I'm glad Spirit didn't won (yes I'm)) With the amount of work the artist put in trough, it didnt surprised me at all.

  • Sooo... the dev stream was a waste of time it seems ?

  • I dunno, PC/Console devs really seem uncaring and deaf toward players suggestion who begged for ages who's actually on the mobile version of the game.

Visual cues, bots, QoL improvements with the blood market, all those suggestions asked frequently got aknowledged by the mobile devs and it feel very unfair.

It would be nearly useless since Xbox, Playstation, and Steam chats all exist, and people playing the game who aren't in a chat probably aren't that interested in talking to people in the first place.

Yeah thus bait aside, from my experienced F13 ass, nobody wants voice chat with randoms in that kind of game.

  • Can't say no to a baby dweet.

  • Jeff & Hag obviously.

  • I mean yeah, Deathslinger deepthroated me more times than I have used a key in my almost 2k hours.

Moris are basically a joke in comparaison, you just have to found the unlucky guy who got farmed off hook to kick him out the game.

SWF are (usually) more aware but thats beside the point.

  • Dunno I found the Saloon kinda fair tbh.

But yeah the demolished houses are kinda weird, I wished they had more personnality instead of being reskinned T and Z walls. not like the "infinites" like Lampkin but they sure could have earned their own personality.

Oh and running against the same 5 meta perks isn’t? Lol

I mean noone forces you to run meta perks. And you can't force anyone to run the perks you like.

  • Reminds me the early days of DbD, dying on the first hook was very common.

  • Play killer then, you don't have to rely in your teammates.

  • @Peanits said:

For slugging specifically, there are perks that could allow them to pick themselves up (Unbreakable, No Mither), unlike when you're in the struggle phase.

I can't believe you suggested No Mither as a counter to slugging, which killer in his right mind would fall for it.

And this perk is so poorly designed, it's supposed to grants as David perks description says, High-risks, high rewards, but this perk only have risks.

not even a percentage of bonus bloodpoints for any category, you still grunt and you don't loose blood which dosent matter with the load of aura revealing perks and addons the killer have.

Thus it's SUPER situationnal perks, which for unbreakable can be used ONCE, so you pick yourself up, the killer downs you again then what ? you bleed out.

Unbreakable and No mither are Buckle Up but with a once of purpose.

  • See ya in a week.
