This sounds good to me. I made some slight changes to my concept so I'll repost it here.

    -------------------------------------------

My solution -- Feral Frenzy now applies Marked for Death, instead of Deep Wounds, and Legion now has a secondary power -- Mob Mentality.

    -------------------------

    Feral Frenzy:

Now injures the survivor and applies Marked for Death, which lasts for 60 seconds.

If Legion hits a survivor who is MFD with his Feral Frenzy attack, Feral Frenzy will end, The Legion will be stunned and the MFD timer of the survivor will be reset to 60 seconds.

Legion cannot use Mob Mentality during Feral Frenzy

    ------------------------

    Mob Mentality:

When a survivor is afflicted with Marked for Death, press the secondary power button to remove the survivor's MFD and summon one of the three other Legion members.

(If multiple survivors are afflicted with MFD, the survivor closest to Legion will be selected when the Legion presses the secondary power button.)

The Legion member will appear 2 seconds later, crouched down in the spot you summoned him or her and wait for any survivor to get within range. When a survivor is within range, the Legion member will lunge at the survivor and attempt to hit them.

If a healthy survivor is hit, he or she will be injured; if an injured survivor is hit, he or she will enter the dying state.

Regardless of whether the hit connects, the Legion member will dissipate in a cloud of smoke.

Legion can summon all three other members this way. If Legion summons a member while all three members are currently on the map, the first member to be summoned will switch to the new location. Legion cannot summon members within 8 meters of another member.

Survivors within 16 meters of Legion members can detect them by looking in their direction for 3 seconds. During detection, survivors will receive an audio cue. Once fully detected, the Legion members will dissipate in a cloud of smoke.

If a survivor sets off a Mob Mentality trap, the Legion receives an audio and visual cue. If survivors fully detect a Legion member, the Legion does not receive an audio and visual cue.

Also, Mob Mentality is a trap so perks, such as Small Game, will work against it.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Add-on changes to reflect Mob Mentality:

Nasty Blade -- Applies a considerable penalty to Sabotage, Healing and Repair Action Speeds to survivors for 60 seconds after they are inflicted with Marked for Death.

Filthy Blade -- Applies a tremendous penalty to Sabotage, Healing and Repair Action Speeds to survivors for 60 seconds after they are inflicted with Marked for Death.

The Legion Pin -- The auras of survivors who fully detect a Legion member or are hit by him or her are revealed for 4 seconds.

Frank’s Mixed Tape -- Legion members are invisible to survivors outside of 8 meters.

Fuming Mixed Tape -- Legion can use Mob Mentality without requiring survivors to be inflicted with Marked for Death. MM now has a 10-second cooldown. The Legion can no longer use Feral Frenzy.

Ohh I like the changes you added in to that. Very sneaky and still let's it use the grab mechanic if the Devs liked that better. Want me to update the first post to reflect the changes?

maybe just a 45 second instead of 60 bc vigil actually.

Plague is weak because she has no way of catching people if they dont cleanse.

Hence what i mean. You don't pause Exhaustion and you get people with SB and BL and DH like mad.

In 2016-2017 you could get exhaustion back while running, and it was terrible. I don't want that back.

Watch the spirit will be next and then we will all be Billy as a red rank killer...not that I mind my Billy is p3 but with wats happening it's gonna be the future

We need buffs to lower rank Killers...

  • Oh! And does anyone have some good add-on ideas? The ones we have right now are SO BAD!

  • So is fighting Plague most of the time and people say she is very weak.

well yeah but its a 1 hit. Stealth killers stomp that and there are so many perks that cut terror radiuses and so many killers that have little to no heartbeat or abilities that do so.

It would definitely change the meta a bit though. Which I would like because Its been a while since it has changed...

  • @FairP1ayer said:

The Doctor just needs add on changes for everything lower than green, and a 25% base shock radius increase. If you set Doc up right perk and add on wise he can be very viable. Shocking survivors at pallets like the ones in the middle of Blood lodge can give him easy hits other killers would have to bloodlust or mindgame to get.

Leatherface can maybe get a faster movement speed while revving up his saw, and perhaps make a purple or red add on only to allow him to hit multiple survivors with his chainsaw (normally he will automatically perform the cooldown after 1 successful hit)to help discourage players from camping with him.

Legion just needs his Frenzy to be less punishing to use, and the instinct range add ons needs to go back to movement speed increases. I’m not sure if Frank’s mixtape allows you to down Survivors with Frenzy, but if it does it should give you the penalty for missing attacks where as not using Frank’s won’t take you out the power for missing, but still give a missed attack cooldown to make it a bit more fair.

Frank's mixtape will not let you down Survivors with hits anymore. It, Cold Dirt, and anything that reduces the stun BARELY do anything any more. KI range add-ons are stupid, but honestly most of Legion's add-ons are stupid. Need to talk more about those on my thread.

  • I think honestly a mix of @Kabu 's idea and @MongByeolBuddies 's idea would work the best. Prolly with the grab idea by @pemberley .

The way I see it, you Mark them with FF, getting buffs to help you catch the others while still in FF, with no TR from my idea, and then after you are done you switch back from the frenzy to a more tactical route of laying the other Legion members in wait to Slash/grab the survivors. Adding back in blood in FF and getting rid of the "lose 50% of your power on m1 hit" (seriously why is that a thing?) with those changes and I think Legion would be in a solid place.

What do yall think? Too much? We don't want it to be OP or anything, just challenging and fun to face.

  • @WickedMilk03 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/95672/no-mither-small-buff-high-risk-high-reward

    Agreed except:

    Exhaustion is no longer paused

Exhaustion time is only 30 seconds long

    Crying/grunts are reduced by 100%

    Broken for whole match ha

    no blood

    Can recover all the way

BECAUSE 1 healthstate vs stealth killers is wack so I think they should have a constant defense. combos good with dead hard especially which is good because perks should synergize with the character.

This feels a bit over powered to me.

  • Hell, i'd like people to tell me what I can do better. Might get a bit annoyed if it's alot, but i'll take the tips.

I never complained about any specific killer to go against. I don't mind which killer I go against as long as long as there's somewhat variation, I mean it's obvious that nobody wants to go against the same killer over and over. I can see why killers play with the stronger killers, they wanna have a fun time. The fun thing is that I never use decisive strike and that I could not care less if they would want to nerf it.

But hey, some people can say ''NOED is for the bad players, atleast with decisive strike you have to actually land a skill check.'', it's just from what side people experience the game the most that'll make their opinion.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760688#Comment_760688

    Sure thing. Agree to disagree.

Cool. At least you can be civil. I respect that.

I would love to. I would like to know which dictionary defines ''efficient usage of tools'' as abuse.

And nice you can make it to red ranks by not camping, slugging, tunneling or whatsoever but that doesn't take your right away to do so, as annoying as it is from the opponent's perspective. In a survivors versus killer game it's absolutely logical that your opponent will make it as difficult as possible for you, that is not abuse.

I meant between "Fact" and "Opinion"

You have yours, which is using things in the game in ways they were not made for is "Efficient use of tools".

I have mine, in that using DS to give yourself immunity to all but slugging and then avoiding that by jumping into a locker, or using the hit you get from BT to body block, when it was made to be an anti-tunneling perk that gets you off the hook and away, is people using things outside of it's intended use to give themselves an advantage that they would not normally have. Also known as exploiting. Much like Old Legion slashing you and moonwalking. You wanna call that "Efficient use of tools"? Or how about Prayer Beads? Or Omega Blink Nurse when that was a thing? Wanna just let people do that cause its in there tools and they can just do it as much as they want?

It's also interesting that you are trying to be such a warrior for this and I frankly just feel apathy. I'm telling you what I see, and you are defending your stance as if it's fact and can not be changed. So sure, you have your opinion and I'll have mine. People can disagree. Have fun in the Fog.

  • @JoannaVO said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760659#Comment_760659

That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Just like how killers try to use their tools as efficient as possible. What else would you expect from your enemy?

It's not a fact. I can go look up the meaning of the words if you like.

Also, I'd expect them to go all out, duh. But that doesn't mean abusing something like that. Guess who doesn't tunnel, camp or even slug much and yet can get to Red ranks as Legion? Me.

The point you are trying to make has no barring on my thoughts to this. Killers have far less to exploit as far as I know, and not alot of those would be perks.

Edit: before you call me out for bragging, I said that to underline that using things in a manner it wasn't made for isn't being "As efficient as possible", it's being exploitative. After all, what do survivors not like? Tunneling, camping, slugging. Those are parts of the game used for the wrong reason. I am merely proving my point more.

  • @JoannaVO said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760466#Comment_760466

People wanting to make the best of what they have and try to use perks as efficient as possible is not the definition of abuse. The fact that it's annoying doesn't mean you can just put incorrect tags on players.

And your opinion doesn't change mine. They are doing it cause the perk allows them too, but was not designed for it. So, thank you for trying I suppose.

  • Sounds like some of my Legion games in Red Ranks. I'd like to know how to handle that too that isn't "Git Gud" or "Play Spirit/Billy/Nurse/Freddy"

  • Hmm, I do like this idea. Hope the Devs see it or more people give feedback!

  • @WickedMilk03 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760593#Comment_760593

I realized it was OP so there is a 30 second cooldown for frenzy AND it can only be used once per killer transition.

So if you use it and wait 30 seconds, you still cannot use it until you switch killers and even then you can only use it from a locker. As legion you could jump into a locker to activate it but only once per switch as in you have to switch to use it again so its a huge threat but not used too often. Survivors would be scared of lockers and you could position your killer locations at strategic lockers near gens.

Yeah, but I wouldn't want to HAVE to go to a locker to use my power. Guess why I don't play Huntress? (Cause My aim is horrible) But also I don't like to have to go "Welp, gotta go find a locker..."

I'm sorry, so far I feel the idea needs some more tweaking. I like the Idea of having other Legion members being involved, but this seems like a really rough way to do it.

  • Nope. The director was a Pedo. BHVR has said they want none of that.

  • @WickedMilk03 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760570#Comment_760570

I feel like getting an actual hit (no deep wound) would be sexier as a player because you can down them in 2 hits with hardly any time between the hits AND can go for someone else. Maybe adding an extra 2 seconds per down would be good then? just a little more time if the survivors arent careful?

Maybe, but remember the MAIN REASON (not counting Exploits) that people hated Old Legion was they put the chase on a "Timer". Having a lethal power that you can just control and over take Survivors would be kinda broken. We don't want to buff Legion up so much that they are the RULER OVER ALL! MUAHAHAHA.... sorry, got caught up in that. Anyway, we want it balanced on both sides, so that it's not overwhelming, but not so weak that they are underwhelming. So far I enjoy @MongByeolBuddies 's Idea for Mob Mentality, with his changes that we discussed with MFD or the change that @pemberley added to it with the Legion member grabbing the survivor instead.

Oh or @Kabu 's idea for more and more bonus to Legion as they hit people in FF. That really had a good mental image of a blood crazed Killer getting more and more worked up the more they slashed people.

EDIT: Or my own idea to remove TR in FF with a few other things.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760551#Comment_760551

Just to clarify, I think 60 seconds is a fine amount of time as it is. I wouldn't mind it being lower if the timer didn't tick down while slugged though. That way you can't just avoid the perk by slugging but the abuse able situations are also reduced. I also wouldn't mind DS deactivating when someone else gets hooked as long as it doesn't deactivate while slugged.

okay THAT i agree with. Make it turn off when someone else is hooked. That's a good idea.

  • @WickedMilk03 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760568#Comment_760568

The only exploitable things I could think of were:

Camping boxes (But I made the distance between them pretty fair)

And survivors leaving gens at the completion phase in which I corrected it so it would reset after 3 minutes which is a long time.

Do you see it as exploitable for killer more or survivor because I see it more torwards killer but obviously if devs did it, they could adjust the white crate distances. The concept is mostly there to explain that survivors should also be punished for large maps bc killers are. And honestly this would super buff wraith to where he wouldnt even need a rework.

Hmm... i think survivor, just cause Swf... but yea. It would be hard for either side to mess with it, other than leading the Killer off and sneaking in... but that's just a tactic.

Curious why this would buff Wraith.

  • @NinoV1 said:

It’s called feedback, though a lot of it could be more constructive.

The devs clearly listen to the fan base so why wouldn’t people have input.

I agree! I have a REALLY long rework Legion thread for example. But if they change something, I don't just go "HOW DARE YOU!" i just think about it from the big picture.

Case in point! I left DBD for a long long time cause of 2016-2017 DBD. I came back cause of Legion, the lore and the playstyle. Never once used the exploit they got nerfed over. Know what I did when they nerfed them? Kept playing them. I understood WHY they did it. They might have been REALLY heavy handed, but I understood.

  • Ah yes, sorry. Rush Down, as i refer to Legion's play style at least, is that feeling of chasing the survivor down and slashing them, going after them all and ganking them. That speed and the "panic" it makes is one of my favorite things about Legion. The "Oh i'm gonna get you now!" of chasing them down. It's honestly the MAIN reason I love Legion.

Your idea is lovely, don't get me wrong, but I can't support it cause of the FF being 10 seconds and the playstyle that I, and it seems alot of Legion mains, enjoy is absent.

  • This seems pretty complex! Let me think a minute on feed back...

I like this idea over all, but I feel like there might be a few things in it that would break the gameplay. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something in here feels exploitable. I wish I could tell you what, and I'll keep thinking on it. I know the poor Killer would walk his shoes off keeping up with all that for sure. Hmm... honestly what impresses me the most about this idea is how creatively it's worked around the lore.

I think the main thing wrong with this is that the Devs likely wouldn't implement it. I'll give some mroe thought and get back to you with more.

  • Though reading this, i'm not really sure i'd like this. It kinda removes alot of the playstyle I like from Legion, and would be a hassle to keep up with. The Rushdown would be gone, and that would break my heart.

  • Thank you for linking that here too! I think it will really help if the Devs have a one stop shop for Legion ideas!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760478#Comment_760478

If you miscount, that means you made a mistake and got punished for it, thats how the game works.

There's a good chance they're going to get picked up while slugged, but the point of slugging them isn't so that you can hook them later, the point of slugging is to temporarily make that survivor do nothing until someone saves (unless they have unbreakable, but thats two perk slots, and also only works once.) You slug them to apply pressure while you get someone else downed and on the hook. Slug one person, chase another, another person has to pick up the slug. Thats one person on gens. If no one saves now you have one slug, one hook, and only two free survivors to actually do something. Chase another and the game is basically on the shoulders of that last survivor to do some saving before the entire game comes crashing down. They probably will save but guess what, no one is working gens. That means you're gaining progress and they're not.

Of course if you're playing a low tier killer you're going to struggle, that's not a problem with DS. That's a problem with the killer needing buffs. With a low tier killer, you will struggle against optimal teams regardless of whether they DS you or not. You can't really consider perk balance from the perspetive of 1 killer vs a survivor team you have to consider all the killers. Ideally the weaker killers would be more on a level to deal with DS like a billy, but that's not a DS problem. You get to a point where you have to say either the weaker killer must be stronger or the stronger killer that can deal with DS must be weaker because the stronger killer has no issue with it but the weaker killer does.

Also if you can't keep track of DS in your head, literally just use a stop watch on your phone. Anytime someone gets unhooked press start, use the lap feature for more than one DS. If you have more than two DS active at any given time that means you already have really good pressure on the survivors and can typically afford to eat a DS even if you do make a mistake. Also having 3+ DS active at once is going to be a rarity vs optimal teams unless you're playing a high tier killer.

If you take it as an insult when I say it's a skill to keep track of DS timers, you need to take things a bit less personally. It was by no means an insult.

At least you took the time to explain your reasoning this time. I approve of that. I still think that we should just agree to disagree though. I hold the idea that 60 seconds is too long, and you think the opposite. There is nothing wrong with that. I am glad that you DID take the time to type that all out and think about it. It's rare to see someone on here that really thinks there post out. So for that, you have my respect. Now, and I mean this really nice just to give context, I Do hope you have fun in the fog.

Cool! Well speaking of that, held survivors could also suffer from the Oblivious status effect so they really don't see/hear the stab coming! hehe

Oh sneaky! I like it, and I don't think it would be OP. Gonna have to think about that more though, but it makes sense. You got one guy on you, you aren't looking around for the other.

  • @Zol_Grimm said:

You could have 4 separate killers, 3 hiding in the cupboards and 1 you control. Basically you can switch control by entering a closet allowing you to switch to one of the inactive killers (similar in nature to a demigorgon teleport but you have to have positioned the legion), and if a survivor opens a closet with a legion inside it restrains them until you go collect them, they wiggle free or a survivor frees them (similar in essence to trapper's traps).

Largely his/her kit could remain the same, but i think with proper usage this could give legion better map presence and pressure, while making closet use a bit more risky, plus i think it fits the we are legion underlying story.

    EDIT

just been informed WickedMilk03 has a more fleshed out version of this.

Thank you for moving your idea here! I think it might help for the Devs to have one massive thread about the changes so they can see all the lovely ideas we have!

Hi! I like to play the same way and have fun, but unfortunately, optimal players are the ones who have played this game for quite some time and focus on winning. It's hard to balance anything since it's closer to being a spectrum, ranging from newer players, casual players, good players, and optimal players. It's quite a task to balance between everyone since not everyone can be pleased. I personally agree with your idea of having fun and just casually playing, but others prefer playing this game to their highest efficiency.

I mean... I red Rank as Legion. I'm not casually playing but I am playing for fun.

Also i agree its insane to try and balance this stuff. That's why I leave it up to the devs, trust them to do it okay now that they seem to be heading the right direction, and hope they look at my Rework Legion thread.

  • @Lambda said:

Why do people make threads like these when there's a dedicated feedback area? Do they just like the drama?

They cant bodyblock from inside a locker, if they body block, slug them.

Since you want to insult me a bit, I'll come back for one more thing.

You go play a lower Tier Killer at even a decent rank. Then while you are juggling everything else, count to 60 for each survivor when you down them. Or even when you hook them. See if you can keep track of it.

    I'll wait.

@UlvenDagoth  -- Thanks for pointing me to this.

    I like this idea too!

I'd make it so the person being held is exposed. That way the survivor is downed in one hit regardless if they are injured or not if Legion catches them this way.

OHHHHH! That's really good! I like that idea cause they would be more focused on "Fighting" the other Legion member that they don't see the stab coming!

Wow, so you pick that out of everything I say. I meant in general, not from inside the locker. Duh. This just proves that you arnt trying to listen or understand and just want to pick apart what anyone says to you to prove yourself "Right" even if it makes no sense. Good Day.

Edit: Slug them, so they can get picked up, Unbreakable, or just DS me cause I miscounted. Mhm.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760457#Comment_760457

Once again if youre getting hit with a 2 seconds DS, you could have avoided that by waiting two seconds. If youre so strapped for pressure that youre getting destroyed by 10-15 second wait on DS you likely were gonna get destroyed either way because a team that's so optimal that 15 seconds is significant, chances are they literally could have looped you for longer than that anyways.

SO what you are saying is I need to count for 4 different people, up to 60 WHILE dealing with the pressure of being a Killer.

Yeah, you arn't listening and I don't see your point to just wait it out, cause that isn't how it works in my experience. People use it to exploit how it works. Body Blocking cause you have BT or DS for example. But sure, next time i'll stare at that locker longingly for 10 seconds then get hit with Head-on and DS even then cause I miscounted by 1-5 seconds.

Have fun in the Fog, man. I'm done with this.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Lockers a should disable DS. It’s such a dirty exploit. I can have gotten into a chase with 2 other survivors during those 60 seconds before unintentionally coming across the last person I hooked.

    This. Exactly this.

It's almost as bad as body blocking cause you have BT. People abuse things cause they can.

Bud, stop being ridiculous. Did you even read what I posted? I saw your poll and you voted 4 times in it. Now let's take into account what I said before, and other major factors..

I could of voted too, but I don't care enough to vote.. At this point it just seems you guys are making up data to try and skew the line towards your favor, but it's clearly not working, and the Devs are ignoring it for good reason.

I'm sorry your favorite killer is being changed, but everyone who plays this game has had to endure some change they didn't like. At the end of the day the Devs aren't out here to kill their own game. Clearly there was enough data on their end, and a majority of people complaining to have her looked into.

Legion nerf when I never used the exploits.

That's my change that upset me. Guess what i do now? Play Legion.

That's really the end of it. Devs can see alot more data than us. They decided BASED ON THERE DATA and how they want to take the game. The end.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

Almost any situation where you have to wait more than 10-15 seconds is typically not one where you actually downed and hooked another survivor though. There's very few situations where a survivor is going to have a significant amount of time left on DS where you aren't outright tunneling them.

10-15 seconds can still end you as Killer man.

And i've been DS'ed after hooking someone else before. They prolly had about 2 seconds left or something and then I pick them up and BAM.

They are doing a fantastic job from last reworks... I cant complain on that.

But instread creating new chapters IMO, they should fix Legion / Clown / Bubba / Doctor first. That is my only wish.

I hope they have seen my Legion rework thread in feedback. Poor Legion needs so much help.

  • Most of the old ones, honestly. So much reworking needs to be done.

If the survivors are so optimal that they're just flying through gens, then the survivor could have survived in a chase a lot longer than 10-15 seconds.

Are you reading what I am saying?

Oh, that's a good point about the name; I didn't even intend that. :)

You asked -- "The main thing that would make me think is why would people remove it"? --

so I apologize for not making it clear -- Survivors cannot remove MFD, like they can with DW. The survivors would have that mark on them until the 60 seconds ran out or Legion used MM.

    2) Why do you think survivors would complain about being MFD?

Maybe I'm not considering something, but I think they would be much happier with this than having to mend.

As for a slowdown for MFD being base kit, I don't think it would be necessary as Legion would be much more lethal, making his slowdown the ability for him to end chases quickly.

    ---------

However, as compensation, I think this could work for Nasty Blade & Filthy Blade -- Applies a considerable and tremendous penalty, respectively, to Sabotage, Healing and Repair Action Speeds for 60 seconds after survivors are inflicted with MFD.

That way Legion can use his Mob Mentality power within 60 seconds and survivors will still suffer the NB and FB debuff for 60 seconds.

Oh no, I meant why would the LEGION want to remove it. I should have been more clear.

I still feel like that might be making those too add-ons a MUST HAVE if you work them like that. After all, most of Legion's add-ons are bad. I get what you are saying though.

You have a point on Survivors, I don't know just something bugged me about it.

Did you see the idea someone had for your power too? That the Legion member would hold the survivor in place instead of hit them? What did you think about that?

If a survivor gets a gen to 60% and you get DSd that couldn't be any less than your own fault. Given that it probably took them 5-10 seconds to reach the gen from the hook you literally just have to wait like 10 seconds before picking them up or pulling them out the locker and you get a free hook.

60% of a gen = 48 seconds + time it took to run from hook to gen. Assuming it took them ONLY 5 seconds to reach the gen (were hooked right next to it) then you literally just have to wait 7 seconds before grabbing them out the locker.

I can tell you from experience it usually takes more than 5 seconds to reach the gen. Even 10 is pretty damn quick.

Excuse me for not caring about one % value in my post I made as a theoretical example for why 60 seconds is too long for DS.

Sure, but what if they did less (cause one number is so important) and you have to wait LONGER for a timer that will assure them getting away or wasting EVEN MORE TIME on a chase that you had to WAIT for.

Have you played against teams that only focus gens or had games FLY by cause gens are popping like popcorn? Cause as far as I see you haven't. it takes 80 seconds to do a gen with no perks, no item, and NO GREAT SKILL CHECKS.

So, for 3/4s of ONE GEN being done without doing ANYTHING to speed it up, that guy has immunity to being picked up or out of that locker. You leave, he's back on that gen, laughing in your face. (being a bit dramatic there but still) You stay? All of the other survivors get to do gens and pop them.

I'm not even bringing up the people that use unbreakable, or the Head-on/ DS double punch.

  • I agree. Let's have a civil discussion and not just yell "Git Gud" or "NEEERRRFFF" at each other.
