If I'm the last Survivor caught I usually won't even struggle. I just let them take me wherever. At that point, we lost the match anyhow. A lot of times when I don't struggle they will actually give me the hatch.
I play to have fun, for both sides. If I have a fun killer (or a really skilled killer who steamrolls us) I'll give them some kudos after the game. Makes the game fun (which is what it's supposed to be).

Tunneling is most certainly a "thing". When you get unhooked and the Killer runs right by other Survivors that were standing in his way to distract him and chases you halfway across the map, twice........that's Tunneling.
It's annoying but not a big deal. As the ranking system doesn't really mean anything, I only play for the BP's to "finish" a character (had Claudette done until the most recent Survivor was released).
I play with two of my kids and we aren't great by any means. We have some good games and some bad games. I think there was an info-graphic a while back that disproved all the claims of "every group being a 4 man SWF" by a significant margin.
When you play games to actually have fun instead of trying to prove something to someone in a game without a legitimate ranking system, you're just going to frustrate yourself. If there was a true ranking system, then I could understand all the insanity and complaining (I see it when my boys play other games like HotS).

I'm a casual player and I don't care about Rank.........400+ hours.
To each their own I suppose.
-
I play mostly Survivor because I would rather get into a game instantly then have to wait 10 minutes for a game as a Killer. I enjoy the game. I get camped, tunneled, looped and everything else everyone on here complains about.
I don't DC if I get tunneled or face camped. I just move on to the next game.
I'm a completionist so I'm working on finishing up my P3 Claudette (have all perks, just need to finish ranking them to 3). Then I'll move on to maybe Jake or even a Killer. Haven't decided yet.
If you're getting this worked up over a game, don't play it. There's 1000's of games out there that can entertain you. I'll never understand these people that keep doing something they don't enjoy.
If the game dies due to lack of interest, that's on BHVR.
Patient: Doc, it hurts when I do this.
Doctor: Then don't do that.

For Pig, they take off the Bear Trap........
No, only the last box out of the 5 of them remove the Bear Trap.....every other box is just a time killer.......I swear every game.......
😂

I've got a little over 400 hours in (mostly as Survivor). My two highest killers are Hag (40) and Leatherface (40). I think my next highest may be Doctor (6). All my Survivors are (40)+ and my Claudette is P3 (50) with all perks. I play a lot of Survivor mainly because getting games is faster.
Never had a problem with NOED. It's unfortunate if you get caught and hooked because if I I'm playing solo and it's up, the Entity is going to have you for a snack. Ain't no one got time for that. I also cleanse every totem I see so maybe that's part of it as well........
-
I just leave the game whether I win or lose. I don't know anyone on there so their comments are irrelevant to me and I've got another game to get into as quickly as possible. Filling out my first P3 characters perks won't happen itself (just a few more to get to tier 3).
-
I'd rather play the game than watch someone else play the game........

No, it's just more grind. I don't even care about the bloody clothes anymore with all the new cosmetics.
Incorrect. You do get a slight higher % chance of getting more rares, very rares, and ultra rares and less commons and uncommons in your blood web.
So more grind...
Yeah you would think this game was f2p with all this grinding hehe.
The extra "grind" you're talking about is literally like a couple hours worth of bloodpoints. I can get a p3 lvl 50 character in one week if I have a killer with BBQ and survivor puddings.
True, I think it costs about 1.2-1.3M BP to bring a lvl 1 character to lvl 50.
The real grind is when you try to get every last perk for the poor sucker. I don't even know how much BP you need for that. 30M? 40M?
I have 1 perk left to get for my Claudette (then to get them all Rank 3). Then I will work on Jake.
Is it worth it? Probably not but as a completionist in just about every game I play, I need to do it.

I play Killer when I don't feel like worrying about how bad my teammates are (or when I have a daily).

It’s very apparent that reading comprehension isn’t your forte. If you are hooked once and then camped off hook that makes you a sore loser? Stop being so killer sided and look at it from the other side of the fence. The devs reduced points awarded by camping because it was such an issue. The point of this post is people rage quitting. I’m merely saying the style of play by the killer influence the frequency of disconnects. If you can’t wrap your “adult” brain around that then we are done talking. If you are camped that's unfortunate but it happens. By you DC'ing, you are also giving the Killer free reign to start roaming again instead of helping out your teammates by keeping him at the hook.
DC'ing is bad. Just don't do it.
-
If I 3k I will usually farm with the last Survivor. Pallets, generator repair/break, etc.
-
Camping is unfortunate but it happens. Anyone who knows how to "play" this game should know not to be waiting by the hook to unhook. You have time. Go get a generator done just make sure you save before the hit the Struggle phase.
If the Killer is face camping, then you have all the time in the world to finish a generator. Most times, once a Generator pops they will stop camping because they realize they are losing. Sometimes they don't care and that's really unfortunate, especially if you;re the first person caught.

Come at me bro!

Unless you're a Killer main. In that case, Come at them bro!
-
I run WGLF but I play as I normally do and unhook when it's safe. If I get my stacks I get them. It's more important to me to have fun and for my fellow Survivors to have fun (and I guess the Killer too).
I'm one perk away from having "completed" my P3 Cludette perk grind so while the extra BP's would be great, it doesn't override my need to have fun or to pull a scummy unhook like that.
Unless I'm playing with my kids. Then they are getting unhooked as soon as I yell, "Comin' in hot!" to them in the living room......

-
Anything less than a 10 and Jesus Jeff says you will burn in hell!
-
On the rare occasion I play Killer, if I hook someone I just start patrolling the generators again. If there's a generator nearby, obviously I'll patrol that one first. In most cases they will save the guy on the hook and I'll just circle back and get them (usually the same guy I just hooked).
-
If the Killer is camping (face camping, generally I won't worry about a proxy camp unless he's super close) and the other Survivors aren't doing generators I'll just sacrifice myself. I'm not wasting my time when I can be in another game within a minute. I stopped worrying about rank a while ago. I just play to enjoy now (and work on my P3 survivors).

Something like "If a killer stays within x meters of the hooked survivor for x amount of time, other survivors gains x% in their repair, heal, sabotage actions, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec" or "if a killer stays for x time within x range of the survivor, the sacrifice will be worth half points, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec (then the bloodpoints of hooking, summoning and sacrificing will be only added after the sacrifice happens or the survivor is unhooked (by itself or others) and add a buff for survivors sacrificed outside of the x range, making the buffed risky sacrifice awarding more points than now and the safe sacrifice awarding less)."The point of this is because the ridiculous killer who does it, specially in the first hooking, destroys the game for everyone. The ones that are safe doing gens, dont get so many points, the survivor hooked, gets basically nothing and even the ######### killer gets almost nothing, but he still manages to recover, depending on the speed of other survivors.
The killer who does it, mostly in the beginning, spoils the game. Makes it a true loss for everyone, not because the survivor will die, but because no one will get enough points, so a solution should be devised to avoid this behaviour the most and those are my ideas.
P.S: The killer losing time meanwhile the other survivors fix the gens is not punishment enough for this ######### behaviour.
Kindred, Rank 3. You're welcome.

Regardless of the reason you DC, you should get a penalty. Sorry for the legitimate few this happens to but it would help far more than it would hurt. Unless you are chain DC'ing unintentionally (which, at that point, get your connection looked at), it will barely affect you.
I think I have had my connection drop maybe 2 or 3 times in over 200 hours of play.
I have stopped playing regularly due to the DC's. It's just not fun.

I love when that happens and you're staring at the survivor and hit evil within 3 and down them as they are T-bagging because they aren't as close to the exit as they thought and it's off to the hook they go.I've had a few games like this (on both the Survivor and Killer side) and it makes me laugh really hard every time it happens.
-
When I first started playing I was a sweaty Survivor and Killer (like real sweat on my brow type of thing).
As I found out there's no real reward for ranking (other than playing with people who are a "little" better, strategically), I wasn't as worried about it so I just play to have fun.
Without using items and just getting all my Survivors to 40 to unlock teachable perks, I managed to hit Rank 6 (as well as getting Leatherface to 40 and Hag to 30 something). Once I finish with Denson I'll start working on the Killers more.
It's a game. I treat it as such. If I'm not having fun with it that night I'll turn it off and play one of the other 100's of games that I have.

if you play red ranked games as killer you will quickly learn how to be a better survivorWorking on it! Just figured out how the scoring and PiP system really works so I jumped from mid-teens to rank 6 pretty quickly (then the season ended). I should make red ranks this reset pretty easily.

Norman Bates - How great would it be to have a Killer that looked like a Survivor? Talk about scary.......
Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man - That would be just for the laughs.
Dracula - No brainer there. Classic killer.
The Thing - Anything from John Carpenter's brain is pretty scary.
Xenomorph - Could be cool but sci-fi doesn't seem to fit in.
Most of the others have already been mentioned.

I've logged a bit over 200 hours in the game since I bought it a month or two ago (maybe a bit longer, don't remember really).
I started out trying both roles and was immediately hooked (no pun intended). I've played mostly Survivor mainly due to getting games much faster. I've been working on getting all Survivors to 40 to open up all teachable perks. I've got Tapp to finish off (he's level 29'ish now) and then my "main" Kate Denson (because that booty).
Now, I was hanging around the mid-teens in rank for a long time, trying my hardest to do objectives and survive. Couldn't seem to break out of that mid-teen ranking until I watched a few of the high rank players and basically figured out that you essentially have to "do it all" to rank up. Now that doesn't mean carrying your survivor friends but more or less doing generators, saving hooked people, getting chased, etc. Once I figured out how that worked I moved up to rank 6 pretty quickly and that's without using items (just BP boosting sacrifices for the most part).
For the guys saying "it isn't hard" to hit rank 1, you have to remember that most people are playing this at their leisure so in most cases, they don't give a crap about rank. For a lot of us, it's fun. Now that I figured out the formula, I can have fun and rank up at the same time. I need to work on my 360 game anyhow (still can't figure out how you guys do that).
I've played Leatherface to 40 and Hag to high 20's trying to unlock their perks. I can't control Billy to save my life and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the Nurse. I've face camped (when I thought you had to ecure a kill for the Summer BBQ chops, sorry about that guys), but now I've limited my camping to really annoying players which, to be honest, I don't come across too often.
I don't complain about Nurses or Billy's or perks because it's in the game and rank doesn't mean much to me. The games are certainly more fun at higher ranks because people, for the most part, are pretty good.
Playing Killer for me is relaxing but the games just take too long to get (I think I'm a rank 14 Killer). I'm enjoying all aspects of the game except for the DC'ers and AFK'ers. Man those people tick me off and they will get reported every time (not that it does much). They just make the game not fun.
Luckily another match is just a few seconds away for a Survivor.
