  • Noticed this too. Have taken many hits because the pallet won't drop, or it drops and suddenly I am on the wrong side.

Works fine for me on Xbox......

same. I rarely have an issue on xbox. We have 2 xboxs in our house, and both run the game fine.

  • If a fellow survivor brings the killer your way, either; move to let them use the tile you're on, or take your turn to run the killer.

You very well could be plugging up a really great tile. If the killer is occupied, you can still work on the gen. People need to stop hiding in bushes because the killer is within a 30m radius.

  • The doctor... I hate playing against the doctor. I have never DC'd, but after my recent doctor experiences... I will kill the match and take a penalty.

I don't mind the hag, her traps are pretty easy to counter with a simple crouch. 10 traps, usually in doorways, pallets, and high traffic areas.

Because you didn’t do enough to contribute to either safety pipping or gaining pips before you were chased and caught.

Perhaps play more cautiously in the beginning of the game?

Unless you happen to spawn by killer and are 1st chase. I can loop for 2 or 3 gens... but I am probably going to depip because

    A) only contributing to 2 gens gets me a silver or bronze

    B) there is virtually no altruism happening, silver or bronze.

    C) sure I have some chase and bold points, gold or iridescent.

    D) If I get hit and hooked, max gold in survival (if you escape).

At my rank... this is a de-pip.

Happened yesterday. I ran across the map, looping and being stuck in tier 3 madness. All he did was zap and chase. I would lose him, and look around... and there he was, running to find me... zapping, and zapping, and zapping. 95% of my 10 minutes was in tier 3.

    Enjoyable game.

This seems more like a matchmaking issue than smurfing. I have smurf accounts, but one's for the Rank 20 friend I rarely play with and the other is because I'm bored of getting smashed by rank 1's against teams that are at 5 or less.

If they are a true smurf account, then they generally have weaker perks due to not having teachables available.

I hop on my kids accounts to get them bloodpoints and perks. Sometimes it is nice to try out a new perk, or combo, without the stress of the game.

Side note... I have ran into wayyy more potatoes and toxicity from lower ranks than I ever do in red. So many messages, and so many people expecting to be carried and given the win.

Sorry folks, if you make it to final gen and you have under 9000 bps... you need to work on the "team" part of your game.

TBH, I think that DS is fine on its own mostly, but DS + BT is the worst - survivors go for crazy unhooks in front of you and you can't do ######### about that if you are m1 killer - you can't go for the unhooker because of bodyblocks, and you can't hook the unhooked because TUNNELING. That's very annoying.

Legion from yesterday, rank 4, had zero problem tunneling me off all the hooks, even when borrowed time kicked in, he just hunted me down off the hook. I died with 3000 points.

I have gotten to red ranks without running any 2nd chance perks, and generally have very few issues with tunneling.... but after that, I can see why people run them.

I wish we could see the name of the killer, I would have exited the lobby. He was also a rank 4 Claudette from a previous match, who did nothing but hide. I mean nothing. Pretty sure he/she had 3000 points as last man standing.

  • I'm days away from 40.

Judging by the messages people send out when something doesn't go their way... the average age is 4.

I'm not trying to rank up just get blood points. to level up killers and unlock perks. that's all. I'm doing this so I can get a better understanding of both sides of the game.

I do the same. High rank survivor, low rank killer (16 too)... the amount of messed up match making I get is insane. Makes it really unenjoyable. I also love rank 18s running DS, BT, UB, and some other perk... doesn't make me want to play killer. It is really hard to learn the basics of being killer.

Bruh then by your logic using Billy, Oni and Shape's powers are punishment to them because those killer chose to use their powers instead of hitting people twice so they should be punished by getting less points because they did less work? The less work part is questionable though, like have you played Billy, Myers and Oni and other insta down killer? you need to work for those downs. Oni has to hit people for the blood, Billy has to predict body movements carefully, Michael has to stand there and stare at people for a long time. You need to work hard on red ranks to get those insta down.

Using a power doesn't guarantee you max rewards. There are pros and cons to it. Pro is probably a 4k, con is you miss out on a lot of easy points. You can't have both.

I play Myers, a lot. I rarely pop into Tier 3. One hit is great during egc, when it is a race to the end. One hit is also reserved for the overly toxic people. I don't get paid to play... we should all have a good time, collect some points, and decompress from the crappy matches we have had earlier.

Yeah, that keeps happening to me as well on PC. I'm rank 9, will frequently go against Rank 1-4 Survivors. And if not, definately purple. Almost never see a green or yellow survivor.

My theory is there's a high ranked Killer Drought. I have no idea how anyone plays an M1 killer who can't break loops at high rank without quitting the game in the current Survivor Perk Meta. But that's just my theory.

After a long enough wait, high rank survivors get to beat up on a baby killer.

I think you're right about the drought. Once you hit red rank, it is really hard to de-rank. The way red rank killers play... you're maxing chase and bold. Saves and heals are usually maxed. Skill checks are maxed without much effort. There is a surplus of red rank survivors.

After death, I always watch how my matches play out. The amount of rank 4s that do nothing but hide, makes me mental. They escape with 10,000 points... 5000 for the escape, 4500 for hiding in a bush, and 500 for bold because the killer walked by. These are the surplus people.

This is my Billy and a match for example.

Throughout the match I get my Chainsaw Downs relatively early in Chases. On the post game screen I get a Silver Chaser emblem while have Three other iridescent emblems and having just at most 5K BP points on Brutality.

The current chaser emblems system expects all Killers to get a 40 secs average chase with two hits to get a result of an Iridescent Chaser Emblem but with Killers like The Shape, The Oni and The Hillbilly, you can end chases relatively early with one hit so most of my games with Killers with insta downs, I get like the Silver/Gold Chaser emblems with at most 5k in the Brutality.

Can you please buff the points we Insta Down Killers get on the Chaser Emblem and Brutality Category. Like just double the points or something so Killers like Billy doesn't expect to hit people twice on chases and ignore his power just to get a perfect 32K Game?

You want more reward for less work?

You didn't get your chase points up, by your own game mechanics. You chose to insta-down instead of a 2 hit game style.

  • I would love to see a modification to the 1 shot on Bubba. He goes from a 24 hit game, down to a 12. No stalking, or totem required. Maybe a limit on the number of times he can use his chainsaw? If he only needs 12 hits to end a game, he gets 16 uses and add ons to add more?

  • I never go near the end gate if it has been a dominating match. Usually get up and grab something, do some dishes... and chuckle. As I listen to the egc going, and going, and going... I know they are either looking like idiots or waiting to look like idiots. What they don't know... I am really wasting their time.

  • I usually always give a gg, and then have a quick chat about the game. The more positive dialogue there is, the easier it is to forget the negative crap.

with a key you can do literally nothing the entire game and still escape with less than 6k points. you can't be handed a more free "win" than that, even with a mori you need to at least hook each survivor one time.

Without a key you can literally do nothing but hide in a bush and watch your team die, and still escape. Looking at you level 2 Claudette... when I died at 17000 points, she had 3600... and got the escape. I watched her hide in the shadows, get some bold points when the killer was near... and that was it.

The difference is that people on the internet have no idea as to what you are in terms of gender/race/whatever, and talk smack to vent. This cult of personality that tries to ban people for insulting you over a video game is quite ridiculous. I am against silencing people that are talking smack as is known to happen in video games (you can't change the internet). The internet does not need to be a nanny state safe-place like how the rest of western civilization is becoming. Let people talk #########, and if you can't handle the heat then turn off game chat, it really isn't that hard.

If you wouldn't say it to your mother, don't say it to a stranger.

Sitting faceless behind a keyboard doesn't give you the right to be an a-hole.

In fact, when you feel the need to send a message insulting someone over a game... it is time to take a break. It is a freakin' game.

I am better than them though? they cucked me by not knowing how to play, there's ranks for this reason.

Play out the match, then give some friendly advice.

I reached out to a bad killer once, told him to look around a bit more before leaving a gen. He messaged me back and we organized a kyf. He still reaches out and asks to play kyf so he can try a new build or play style. He's gotten pretty darn good too.

A little kindness goes a long way.

  • We were gen rushing a game yesterday, not really on purpose... so we decided to stop and get some chase points (red ranks)

Found the killer with a team mate, watched the mori happen... and beelined back to the generators.

Moris are not fun. Being constantly zapped by the doctor is not fun. Having people look for the hatch instead of pounding out that last gen... is not fun.

  • @Markness said:

Sorry to hear about that, but here is some harsh advice for you that you need to hear... grow some thicker skin. It's the internet, so don't get too bent out of shape over some person's comment when they have no idea who you are and won't think for more than a split second about what they've said after they've said it....

Is this a millenial thing? (I am a millenial btw, but everyone seems to get offended by everything nowadays.. the gen-z/soccer moms would not have been able to handle old-school cod lobbies or UT2004 when people could spam you with a lot worse).

I wee bit older than a millennial here...

If someone sexually harassed your mother or sister, would you tell them to grow a thicker skin? You NEVER have the right to tell someone how they should feel about a situation.

    To the OP,

I am very sorry you had to go through that. The word disability should never be used as slander. Keep your chin up, we could all learn a thing or 2 from you.

  • Play the game. Don't DC because you feel you are better than them.

Honestly, yellow rank killers are so fun because they are so unpredictable. I know what red ranks will do, yellow always surprises me.

  • Reach out to them and ask if they want to farm for points and hatch?

Pretty sure 90% of xbox killers have a message from me saying if they are doing a tough challenge let me know. Always willing to help get those out of the way.

  • Red rank survivor and I have never used DS. Sometimes we feel we are being unfairly tunneled when we are actually just making bad game moves.

I was tunneled hard yesterday, had a chuckle at the end of the match when I saw the gamertag of the killer. Good Gamed him and accepted my fate.

A few days prior I had the same killer, and I looped the poo out of him. He warned me if we ran into each other again he would tunnel me from the start. Our chat was light banter, lots of laughing emojis... he delivered.

I took my -1 and have moved on with no desire to use DS. I have learned some killers want to come out for the slaughter, some are trying to play around perks they think you have, and lately a lot want to farm.

  • Being stealthy and being a coward are too very different things. A good stealth player will stay on gens while the killer is near, hit totems, and go for those safe saves.

Rushing off to hide in your bush when spine chill lights up... isn't being stealthy. It's being detrimental to your team. Sneaking around looking for the hatch while your team is carrying you... isn't being stealthy.

I am a survivor main, and there needs to be an objective timer... if a totem or generator isn't being worked on for 2 min, hatch won't spawn. If nothing is progressing after a 5 min timer, the game auto disconnects.

It is rather annoying how hard it is to get survival points, could you imagine how little noed would be complained about if totems gave survival points rather than boldness?

Survival Is backwards, as per points. You can go an entire match without being hooked... as last survivor, trying to get doors open and get downed... you receive so very few points.

You survive for 5 gens, 3 dead team mates, and no hooks... yet get a whole 600 BPs.

  • I hear ya... today was a toxic day. Snagged a Nea (she was a toxic little thing) and knew her buddy Claudette was skulking around the shack (hooked in basement). As the hag I put down some of my symbols and left, only to teleport back 10 seconds later.

Both DC'd and then sent messages.

  • My idea, when DS is activated, the survivor can't be hit for say 10 seconds. That allows for plenty of time to find a loop.

The killer can still tunnel you for those 10 seconds, but they will be wasting their time in trying to down you. Maybe for those 10 seconds you also don't leave scratch marks, to help prevent the tunnel.

  • Every disconnect is a -25,000 BP loss for the disconnector. Played yesterday and every 2 out of 3 games had disconnects. Frustrating as heck.

If 25k isn't enough, then hit them with 50k.

  • Yesterday I was in a duo, we are both 4/5. We had a 2 and a 9 with us. Killer was a bad 4. He finally hit the 2 and hooked them in the basement, only to camp the stairs, right before last gen was done.

We managed to get the 2 out, and we all exited... by simple in game communication. One player kept the killers attention on them, one stood at the exit gate so the hooked survivor could see where to go, and the other person did the save. When the save was made, the gate keeper and killer taunter ushed in and formed a protective barrier... to take the protection hit.

Killer called us a 4 person sweat squad. We weren't, not even close. Only 2 of us could communicate, and if you heard our communication you would have probably laughed... as none of it was strategy related.

When you get to a certain level, you get better at reading each game.
