The remaster on part 1 is a work of art. I need to get the second part. I hope she enjoys it, and have fun with tekken 8, there’s a lot of ppl excited about it!
I was happy with Tekken, until they patched in premium currency one month after launch. You have to buy more currency than you need to buy a single costume, so now I ain't buying anything out of spite lmao.
Thanks. I've already been called braindead several times, so I think it's going pretty well so far.

Have you got the second part of 7 that just released for the remaster yet?
No, but my sister is playing through it when she gets time off from her hospital shifts. I just bought Tekken 8, so I'm having fun learning that at the moment. I will play it though.

Did you just call a bot a chicken wuss 😂😂
If I actually articulated just how much I hate the bots, so much if it would be censored that you would have no clue what I was saying.

Who knows. Would be a cool perk for sure, unless they have sight of the hook the entire time...
I'd still take it over the mountain of garbage perks we've had in the last few months.
-
We just need a perk that delays the notification that someone has been unhooked. I don't know why BHVR hasn't made a perk like this already.
-
The perk is either completely useless or broken (depending on the circumstance), it's never just good. So yes, rework it into something else.
-
When was the last time a bot came for the rescue in end-game instead of just opening the gate and leaving like a chicken-wuss?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Nope. During the match I will work with a bot but end game it's on its own. Usually they leave you anyway. I've been left on hook during end game by bots.
As killer I get a little salty at survivors who do too. Only because most of the time if I have a DC means the rest can live rule. If there is a bot I think well at least I can get one sacrifice only for the other players act like it's a another person playing. Let me have my one kill. I'm letting you all go.

I've had a few survivors do that for me. No too long ago had two survivors in a match running around the bot blocking it for me. Fun times.
One time myself and another survivor caught a bot in a pincer movement. He was trapped and just kept pointing for some reason. It was pretty funny.
-
Nope. In fact, I body block them so the killer gets a free kill. The bot doesn't have feelings so who cares.

I probably shouldn't have responded to that person honestly but it's just getting really frustrating for me all my friends have quit playing so I main killer and I feel like it's too easy these days and I'm not saying that I don't run into a squad and have a bad game, but most my games are easily won now all the really strong loops I used to have to play around are gone on most maps , these people are literally running in dead zones majority of the time its just not fun it feels like I'm getting it for free, if they make it any easier I'm just gonna hang it up people are acting like it's still hard with all the regression and extended gen time, their heads would've exploded in the old days , sorry for the long reply back but I just miss being super invested in a hard chase and finally catching them because of something I did skillfully, not because BHVR nerfed things to the point I'm almost guaranteed to win that chase if I run it a certain way
Sorry to hear that your friends have stopped playing. I wish I could say that I can relate, but I've never got any of my friends to stick around and play survivor. All of them give up pretty fast except one who plays occasionally, and much like you, he only plays killer now. I can get them to do customs with me sometimes though, which can be fun.
Hopefully your friends return one day and you can get back to enjoying the game the way you used to.

We have more than 4 viable killers people just refuse to play those other killers or change the same ######### build they run every match and then wonder why they lose, survivors have been so trash for the past six months I'm starting to believe all the really good players are gone now, ive been playing who people call the weakest killers and winning most of my games, how is that possible if there's only 4 killers viable? I'm nowhere near the best at this game if what you're saying is true I couldn't do that.
Tier lists are in some ways self-fulfilling prophecies. People often don't bother with killers that are considered weak. The same goes for characters in fighting games or guns in FPS games. So they go unexplored in current metas.

Isn't that limited to cases in which all participants brought their own offering?
I'm not sure. I only play killer when I play in customs with friends on rare occasions. My guess is purely based on some killer streams that I've watched.

Oversaturation is a good point. Whenever a new killer releases or one gets a complete reword. The pick rate of that killer increases and survivors grow tired of facing the same killer every match. Which is one of the reason i play less during release weeks.
Which in turn shapes the view of the survivors that constantly face the same killer. Maybe its best to wait a few months to see how the perception of Billy changes
You should just play whoever and whenever you want. There's always going to be people that get frustrated and quit out. Don't go placing arbitrary restrictions on yourself because of those people.

It shows what offering was brought but doesn't show who brought it until after the match has ended
Assuming I remember correctly, the offerings are listed in a line. That line correlates to the order that survivors are listed on the side of the screen. So you can figure out who brought what by comparing the two.
-

Why is it every single time I bring escape capes or bloody party streamers I get tunneled out of the game immediately!!!
Like they are so RARE to get(wether bhvr ones to admit or not) and I NEVER get any value out of them
And the weirdest thing is how they know I was the who brought it?
Everyone, including the killer can see who brought what offering into the trial, by pressing start during the match. I've seen killer gameplay where they will sometimes target survivors who brought an offering for realms they don't like, or more comically tunnel someone who didn't bring a shared BP offering when everyone else did.
In theory, they can also tunnel someone out when they bring offerings such as the bloody party streamers, if they want to be anti-social.

Yeah this won’t work at short loops at all. Brain killers will just BL you. It would have to be a loop pallet where they’re forced to kick the pallet. I’m playing around with it now in ash and barely getting any value, I don’t see it performing well in higher ranks.
I'm not really sure how to improve it. It's an awkward perk. Maybe it could be an item that you drop on the floor and it triggers when the killer gets within range of it. That would make it easier to use effectively, and could be useful for escaping weak loops.
-
It could definitely use a bit of a buff. It's interesting in theory, but isn't much use when you can reach another loop without it.
It might help you pass a dead loop and reach another one, but that would require you knowing which loops are dead, which makes it very situational to get real value from.

But the problem is I’m being zero gen slow down which I’m sure survivors love. But their ONE perk counters all 4 of mine. I’m forced to bring gearhead to eat tokens.
Well that's just how the game goes. Running an entire build for one thing is risky as you don't know what the opponent will have. If I run four healing perks and I get matched up against Plague, I'm basically perkless for the entire match. It's just the risk I run when I choose not to diversify my build.
-
I'm fine with players running full aura builds. As long as they aren't telling BHVR to nerf it's counterplay, that being Distortion.
-
Watching a survivor either pop out of existence or immediately drop dead on the spot was always funny. I will miss that.

How are you still being 3 genned by her when the anti 3 gen mechanic exists. She is absolutely nowhere near as bad as release where she had a 400m tall cylinder of exposed around a gen.
You can crouch drones, disable them. Even mid chase you can crouch given you're in a decent position.
She has to earn her scans through good drone placement, aiming, and rotation. A bad SM will get their drones easily crouched and disarmed. She's easy to pick up but not to master.
The anti-three gen mechanic is only there to stop hour long matches. It did very little for solo queue players who can't coordinate and still get destroyed by the tactic. Saying that she can't hold a three gen because the anti-three gen system exists isn't accurate. She can't hold a high level, coordinated SWF hostage anymore, that's about it.
Although it's true she isn't anywhere near as bad as she was. Unfortunately her toolkit is now bloated. Stealth, haste, hindered, tracking and traps. Most players don't understand how she works. Not because they are stupid, but because the game does an awful job at teaching players anything.
Then when you finally understand how she works, you realise it's not interesting to play against. She's still chasing you away from gens, and counterplay to her looping is at times completely non-existent. If there's no time for you to duck under the beams, she gets a free hit or the beam hits you. If you manage to avoid getting hit by vaulting something, you get hit by a beam. If you are hindered and she has haste then you are getting mowed down. Even if you outplay her under those circumstances you're gonna get hit by a beam and potentially lose a health state regardless.
She's just not well designed. She's oppressive in the most boring way possible.

Good perk, if you mean to be on the same tier to old meta, its not going to happen. DH, DS, incoming Spirt burst.
Its mostly up to your creativity in perk combo build for survivors by now. This is not happening + Deadline + Hyper focus for example. You know what I mean.
Though its not possible since killers suggest you to stack nerfed anti tunneling perks. So pretty much survivors still stuck with the old Meta, but nerfed, because there is no other alternate version of them.
Admittedly I do find myself devoting most of my loadout to dealing with the worst aspects of the game, which leaves very little room for creativity. I'm just hoping the DS change is strong enough that I can just run that one perk and don't have to run two or three anti-tunnel perks just to deal with that playstyle.
I'll take some meme perks if BHVR has any more of them ready to go. If they released a perk that made survivors fart when they fast vault, I'd run it. I'll take funny and bad perks over decent boring ones.
-
I'm still waiting for some good or at least interesting survivor perks to be added. All the recent perks seem like they are built so they aren't good enough to affect the game's balance. As if anything looks even remotely strong, the community reacts with hysteria.
The most recent ones are basement self-care, basement deliverance and two minutes of sitting in the basement doing nothing. The first two are just worse versions of perks we already have, and the third one is basically throwing the match whilst being extremely bored.

Is it though? Release Billy was loved. Everyone considered him to be balanced. No one would have asked for a nerf. But that was a very long time ago. A lot of things changed, i´d even go as far as saying the community changed.
Release version Onryo was loved, because weak af.
Singularity a fan favorite. Because of how much power survivors had over his power.
Demogordon, loved but not because he´s strong.
Twins, Pig... do i have to say more?
Whenever a new killer releases and the front page isn´t filled with nerf threads. Then its save to assume that survivors love the killer because they can easily win against him.
Or let me put it differently. The amount of threads that complained about the flashlight exploit stands in no comparison to the amount of threads that complained, when flashlights were kill switched.
Are the people who claimed that they loved Billy, the ones that are now disconnecting after his rework though? I don't think the people who are disconnecting against him are the people who once proclaimed love for him. I think they are the people who have always disconnected against challenging opponents or when things go poorly.
I think because Billy players were so rare, people actually forgot or never had any real experience with him. He was like some mythical creature that half of the playerbase had no experience with, and when they did meet one, he would be focused on fun and style over efficiency.
The over-saturation of Billy combined with how strong he now is has definitely frustrated many players. There's no denying that. But there's plenty of weak killers that people hate. Legion would be a good example. Onryo has always been considered trash but people hate her regardless. Larry is the game's version of a unicorn, he's very rare. Given how strong he is when he focuses on protecting gens, I'm sure players would hate him almost as much as SM if they actually played against him regularly and his skill floor was lower.
TLDR: Killer strength does play a part in their perception by survivors, but it's not everything. Over-saturation, the killers kit and how players tend to use them also plays a role.

Game balance is completly broken and the metas need to change you know that there needs to be change in metas if killers best strategy is to tunnel out survivers and survivers best strategy is to genrush the hell out of the killer.I presume this as a fun and game changing idea .Of course survivers must get something in return but atleast this will make the game much more interesthing for both sides if balanced corectly and it will change the meta for good .Don't start with game balanced and killer sided things of coures this will be made balanced in some way.
If that's the case then your argument shouldn't be that giving killers a fifth perk slot is fair because survivors have sixteen in total. Make the argument that it would shake up the gameplay drastically. Although just giving both sides more options would do that. Survivors could also make more interesting builds with another perk slot.

@sinkra said:
After Adrenaline gets nerfed I can't imagine this perk will be allowed to stay they most used perk with the value it brings. MFT was nerfed because it extended chases by 20%, windows goes much further than that. It can turn a chase from 10 seconds into a minute plus with the amount of map awareness it gives.
Let's jump off that bridge when we get to it. Until then, let's just enjoy what we have until it inevitably gets nuked.
-
The teasers just don't match what we got in-game.
Teasers: Terrifying looking killer that mimics it's victims and crawls along the ground at high speed.
In-game - The most hilarious looking goofball who doesn't use mimic abilities and runs about like a giant inflatable, attacking people with an axe whilst shooting grenades.
At the end of the day, it's gameplay is at least interesting, which is what matters in the long run. The horror factor was going to wear off eventually anyway.
-
Giving the role of killer a universal buff just because survivors have more perks doesn't make sense, especially when game's balance is already tilted in favour of the killer role (killers have a kill rate of between 50-60% currently). Killers have things like bloodlust and powers that survivors don't. That doesn't make things inherently unbalanced, due to the asymmetric nature of the game.
Both sides are completely different, so trying to do a straight comparison between the two never works. Giving each survivor their own power alongside their four perk slots wouldn't be fair purely because the killer gets four perk slots along with their own power. In fact, doing that would likely completely mess up what balance the game has.
If you want something like that you would need to argue for it based on game balance.
-
@Tsulan said:
You know the answer. Whenever survivors "love" a killer, it isn´t because they like going against him. Its because they like winning against him.
That's a very cynical and depressing way of looking at things. Most people's experience of Billy was OG players who were more concerned with landing swaggy chainsaw hits than hard tunneling survivors out at five gens. OG Billy's have never been a pushover, due to how skilled they are. Despite this, survivors loved them. I think it really comes down to how the killer player approaches the game, rather than the killer themselves.
I can loop Wraith easily, but I hate going against him as almost every one of them gets angry if chases last more than twenty seconds or so. Playing against a pissed off opponent isn't fun for me. Nurse is busted as hell, but I'm happy to face them as they rarely get angry when you outplay them. They'll even show you respect for playing well sometimes.
As far as people disconnecting goes, I can only assume it's the normal "I went down too fast, so DC" or "I'm sick of seeing this killer, so DC". Neither of which is really specific to Billy.
-
@Xernoton said:
This would be impossible to balance. The repair speed boost would need to be huge to make up for a dead survivor. But when a killer does their job, then someone will die eventually. Let's say they kill someone at 1 gen left and now the others get the repair speed. How is that fair? It's pretty much guaranteed that the last gen will be done in a few seconds and then 2 survivors escape at the very least.
Meaning, killers would be punished for simply playing the game with the only way to work around this being to slug all survivors.
Make it weaker though and it doesn't help in the situations it should help but only in examples like the above, which would lead to even more tunneling.
Honestly something like this would be useful to help rubberband the most one sided matches. Having gen speed buffs for when someone dies early or survivor gen speed decreases for when the killer is doing poorly would make a lot of matches more playable. You wouldn't need a system that is active all the way through the match. Survivors would only need the buff until two or three gens were completed.
Personally I'm just hoping BHVR makes anti-tunnel measures stronger and gen rushing weaker so we don't need a system like this at all.
-
I feel like, nerfing good perks whilst not introducing new perks that are strong, for months or sometimes years at a time is a recipe for disaster. Shrinking the meta pool without adding anything else to the mix will result in stale gameplay. At least on the killer side there are new killers to play every three months. Survivors need new perks to keep the gameplay loop fresh. I haven't cared about any new survivor perks since Cage was added to the game.
Nerfing Adrenaline feels like a bad omen to me. It feels like it's getting a nerf due to how popular it is, not so much that it's broken or unfair.
-
It was never about Billy as a killer. People loved Billy mains. As in M2 Only Billy or Space Billy. Nobody liked Insta-Saw Billy or Hook Camping Billy.
Going against Billy inbetween his fall from grace and his current buffed incarnation was never easy, as the only ones you met were cracked and could waste you incredibly fast. But they were fun regardless.

If you report them in-game and submit a ticket with a clip, I'm sure that would be classified as griefing and the players responsible would be punished. I don't think an in-game report would do much alone though.

Yesterday I had a P88 in my lobby. Everyone else was under prestige five. Two killers in a row waited for the timer to reach sixteen seconds and then left. They literally went out of their way to waste as much of the lobbies' time as possible. The tunneling thing is hard to discern as I'm only prestige five at the highest on any survivor, but the lobby dodging is definitely real.
-
We all have bad experiences with other players. Creating a thread to discuss it won't really achieve anything. There's nothing anyone can say that will fix the issue, and all you will get is the tribal types coming out to vent their frustrations at the other side.
All I can do is wish you better luck in the future and suggest that you don't focus too much on the worst people, even though that can be quite difficult at times.

IF there has to be a rework of some kind, it should only be to stop players from hiding and not contrinuting to the match. That's the only thing that need attention. Just tie it's token regeneration to gen progress or altruistic healing if that's the case.

As much as I hate Trapper's basement lockdown strategy, there's no way to nerf his traps without buffing his chase. At which point he's not a trap character, he's a chase character.

Human psychology.
Seeing higher numbers makes you believe it's gonna be try-hard survivors. At least that's what i am thinking the reason of dodges.
Players will use any information they can get to figure out if they are going to have a hard match. Some players refuse to accept that they have to deal with hard matches sometimes and will use whatever information there is to lobby shop for an easier one. If survivors could see info on the killer they are about to face, many survivors would do the exact same thing.

My issue isnt even from the Killer end of things.
If I play Killer and want to run Aura Reading, I just use Gearhead since Gearhead eats through Distortion tokens. Again, the perk isnt even that strong since it is 100% counterable as Killer.
My issue stems from how it affects my matches as Survivor, they are often not chased, never contribute in altruistic actions, and hide a huge portion of the match.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3662333#Comment_3662333
Yes players will play like that, it's bound to happen.
But you also have to consider the fact that these perks help enable this playstyle and make it worse to deal with as Survivor. Distortion specifically has the same issue that the other "sandbag" perks suffer from, they work from your being thrown under the bus and/or have a passive effect that hardly has to be earned.
To put it bluntly, I dont want Distortion's gimmick of preventing Aura Reading to be nerfed, perks like Off The Record and B: Shadow Step do the same thing and that aspect I have no problem with. I just want Distortion to reward a more active role in the team instead of rewarding a passive role.
I honestly almost never see the perk. For me it's like one in every fifteen to twenty matches, and when I do see it the survivor is just playing normally. There are trashbag teammates that don't contribute to the match and just let everyone die, but it's so rare I don't feel the devs really need to address it. It's not like there isn't a plethora of other ways survivors can screw over their teammates.
If the devs decide to change it then fine. But it shouldn't be done in a way that makes aura builds stronger. There needs to be a counter to something like a full aura reading Nurse. Tying token regeneration to gen progress or healing wouldn't be a terrible idea. It might even make token regeneration faster, whilst ensuring that the survivor is doing something constructive.

I can imagine that, bHVR is very methodical and they have top data sifters.
God, you're optimistic. That's an enviable trait. I've only have heard them speak about lobby dodging messing up matchmaking, so I'm assuming that's the only metric they are analysing.
-
@Emeal said:
I am starting to suspect that bHVR may have tested this feature, and the reason they haven't moved forward with it is that, in 9 out of 10 games, the P100 isn't targeted. The issue with this is that in the 1 out of 10 games where it does happen, it feels terrible. It's about the Survivor feeling like they are being picked on for a special reason.
This is likely why players will continue to ask for this change until bHVR implements it, as there isn't necessarily a logical explanation; it's more about a feeling and a suspicion. Making players feel more secure and less like an optional target seems like a positive change. This is why I support removing the ability to see Prestige levels in the lobby.
I hope bHVR soon gives us a heads on their thoughts on this feature or the ability to give a vote on it on the next survey.
- "Should the Killer be able to see player profiles of the Survivors in Lobby?"
- "Should the Killer be able to see Prestige of the Survivors in the Lobby?"
What makes you think they were analysing P100's getting targeted? I can't imagine they would be looking at that, as it would be difficult to sift through that data. They most likely were just examining how often lobbies with P100's were dodged.
