I'd rather them stick it out and suicide on the hook at least they finished out the match.
-
I'll start this one...
You say not asking for leaks.. but isn't that what you are asking for?.. them to release information on the rework itself, other than they are working on it atm. They put out the Legion than Freddy is next.
-
NVM... misread something.
-
I've always wondered with Pop Goes the Weasel, if you start kicking the generator one second before the cooldown is up, when the animation is finished, does the generator actually get Pop Goes the Weasel applied to it.
Cause I've sworn that I don't think it works if the animation time exceeds the remaining cooldown left on the perk.
Does anyone know?
-
No not bannable.. It was never bannable when the survivors at the end of a match would sit near exit gates and troll around in the map looking for more points.
So what the EGC did, is stop that sort of trolling around by allowing killers to troll the survivors. They flipped the end game for the killer side to allow them to get back at those survivors in the past.
All that pent up anger killers have gathered over time is now being released in a massive gush.
But the flip side is... You only have 4 minutes to sit on the floor and wait now.... either way the match is coming to an end. Question is, does that make that survivor player want to click on "Find Match" or "Exit" once the match is over.
-
@George_Soros In regards to the trolling part.
Nah.
You are right the EGC entity animation is very nice.. however.. it isn't a novelty, maybe to a few.
Basically for me the logic goes... One of the most frustrating things that could happen in the end of a match was getting a survivor who trolls around in the end of the game, however they may do it. So why put in a mechanic that stops the one side from trolling the other, but reverse it so now the other side can troll. That seems really ass backwards to me, and not in the direction it was meant to go.
Free escapes or not... It is the aspect of allowing the trolling to go on in the game.
Trolling has a more negative effect than simply losing the match on a newer or low skilled player.
They can't allow 1K hour plus players to play killer in the low ranks and troll their newer and low skilled playerbase.
You can see it just by the fact, you slug a survivor they have a 240 bleedout timer, and then the timer for EGC doubles to 240 seconds.. which draws out the trolling in the end. It would be different if the killer actually needed to chase that survivor for 120 seconds, since that might actually be more enjoyable to a player than staying on the floor for 4 minutes.
I don't think they meant to make a tit for tat system in the game, but it certainly feels like it.
-
Nah.. all they need to do is once the EGC starts, and there is one survivor left, the bleedout timer is reduced to 10 seconds. Having it stay at 240 seconds, while the EGC timer doubles to 240 seconds is BS.
-
The issue as I see it isn't high skilled players but the low skilled players that need to learn how to deal with the EGC. This will come with time, however one thing that is a concern is the trolling of low skilled players during the EGC.
You provided a couple of solutions to that in your post...
Once the EGC starts and there is one survivor left...
The bleedout timer for the slugged survivor is reduced to 10 seconds, this could force the killer to pick up and hook that survivor. Especially if you combine that with no point reward for the Entity killing the last survivor. It is crappy the bleedout timer is the same length of time of the EGC timer when they are in a dying state. So the killer can keep the survivor slugged for 4 minutes, which is a complete joke.
One thing about the doors opening automatically... is it shouldn't really be an easy escape out, but having the risk of the doors opening on the killer if they take too long would be an incentive to end the game quicker, and to actually chase that survivor.
I think though the doors automatically open should only be in the last 10 or so seconds. Either that survivor is timing their chase to run out the gate at the right moment.. or they are screwed if they didn't get chased properly.
But then you run into the situation of the last survivor waiting it out for the gate to automatically open, cause they are too scared to open it themselves.
--
You don't want it to be easy for the last survivor to get out, but they need to discourage the trolling part of it and massage killers to continue playing out the match right to the end.
-
What is this thread...
-
@DarkWo1f997 The last line about looping when you are the last survivor...
As the killer, you don't need to play that anymore. You see a survivor run over to the pallet, just stand back and let them run around it all they want.... run to the door.. killer just moves in front of the switch..
At that point when the last survivor and killer are together... the only way that survivor gets away is if that killer actually plays out and chases the survivor as per normal.. if they don't chase... but just watch you and prevent you from getting near the door..
what are you going to do?.. run and hide?.. how so?.. There is no more chasing that needs to be done by the killer.. only blocking.
-
...
-
Except the end game chat will just close itself off in about 30 seconds to free up server resources.. so you better type fast.
-
Hey... Did you test out the reporting system yet?
-
@Tsulan yee.. true... but the grind is brutal in this game and not all the low skilled players have all the perks they can use on the character they want to play.
He higher ranked players tend to have more of the perks they need... not these little guys who have to learn still.
I like to play with my rabbits... but there was a few times that even I felt a bit too evil in what I did.
-
@Tsulan GAAAHHH!
but on a serious note.... the issue isn't high rank survivors.
the issue is the ease you can knock a low skilled survivor into a no win situation and then troll them for it.
However.... I'm always up for the Challenge!
-
ahhh.... EGC doesn't stand for End Game Collapse....
Remember... The Entity needs to eat too.
-
GAAHHH!
Killers trying to be survivors... survivors trying to be killers... what is this world coming too!
-
What wrong with the downvote buttom?
-
@Aari_Piggy66 depends.... if the survivor has one gen left to do.. camp the hatch and wait for the survivor to reveal themselves too you.
Survivors can camp the gate all they want.. if the killer is patient... then they camp the hatch.. and wait. If it goes on too long then go look for the survivor to find out which gate they are near.
Remember....

REMEMBER EVERYONE...

It isn't so much which side it favours per say...
It is a tool which can be used in a "game negative" way... something that can damage someone's willingness to continue playing.
It is easy to bend the "sided" approach to either side and say each side has a way to counter it.
The problem is, when you have high skilled and low skilled players. The high skilled players have no issues, or shouldn't have, since they should know enough about the game to have a chance and succeed.
The low skilled player doesn't take much to be knocked into an unwinnable situation.
It doesn't take much for a low skilled killer to place the low skilled survivor into the End Game Challenge.
When the hatch is o spawn and there are only 2 survivors left, the killer can start to prepare for the end game. The more gens left to do, the more time they have. Just knowing where the hatch is before the EGC starts is enough.
Take that little rabbit...
-
Killer has whispers... it doesn't matter.... if it is any killer who can cross the map quickly... it doesn't matter.
best thing to do as a killer anyways if there is one survivor left and the gens to do..
is sit on the hatch and camp it until you know where the survivor is then close it... that survivor is screwed either way. Very little wiggle room for the last survivor in the end game.
-
You do know that EGC mean End Game Challenge right? That is the new end game that BHVR made. It challenges killers to play with their food at the end of the match.
-
@Kurisataru haha... that was a good one.
Ok.. yeah they streamers shouldn't be directing their viewers to harass anyone.. true...
but not being toxic in game?.. and fog whispers?... hahaha.
Do you know the yellow plastic garbage bag the nurse wears with the toxic symbol on it?.. Do you know who they created that for and what "bit" that is referred too? BHVR can say what they wish.. but that Fog whisper was told who that was for and why... and they love it.
So when it comes to in game toxicity BHVR doesn't care as long as you don't violate the rules of their game.
What people call toxicity is different even too BHVR.
-
@Orion however it works.. I'm not trying to be too technical.. if the killer has only 10 seconds before that slugged survivor died that would be a benefit to stopping the end game challenge.
but then there isn't anything stopping the killer from pinning the survivor in one area of the map, but if the gates open, then that survivor now has a chance to run out.
-
I agree with Peanits here on this one... If they increased the bleedout timer to where the killer has no choice but to pick up and get the hook points... then it would help with ending the game.
Also I feel the gates should open after a certain time.. if the killer couldn't secure that last survivor within 90 seconds.. then they risk losing that last survivor. But that is me.
-
@AshleyWB EGC is a prime example of it. EGC was created for the purpose of trolling that last survivor should you be "good" enough.
I get to that last survivor.... I get the little devil and angel appear on my shoulders telling me what to do...
I wanna hook that survivor... but... I'm compelled not too...
-
Remember everyone....
-
@Kenshin since the last update.
-
What makes me toxic is the mechanics BHVR puts in the game that allow me to be toxic, while we sit here and say it is a "legit playstyle".
-
They could also reduce the bleedout timer on survivors during that time... The killer shouldn't be slugging the last survivor when the EGC has triggered.
-
@ClogWench yeee.. I was going based on the what I believe was the first timbit of information that was released that started the whole... "Scream is coming to DBD" realization.
but nothing has been confirmed.
-
I'll show you my vid I made of the End Game Challenge...
This survivor had all the time in the world to leave though.. but borked it up by not looking for the hatch. This is a prime example of how much skill you actually need to pull off the End Game Challenge. Which is very little.
Rejoice Killers!
-
Perhaps... there have been mention of some dates... Such as May 28th.
-
Ahhh... just an FYI.... EGC stands for End Game Challenge.. not collapse.
-
Yee... all survivors have to do is DC during the offering screen and you'll never get to use a mori again anyways.
-
haha
I wouldn't even know the exact answer.. but....
They do ban people from the game who've used SAM to unlock DBD achvs. People know how they unlock so if they look fishy... you'll get reported.
but uh.... Maybe send an email to support to explain it and see if anything can be done to prevent it if you are serious about it.
-
Remember everyone....
-
@Madjura You are 100 percent completely wrong! I must say so my dear person...
You say.... "but there is no way to verify that."....
100 percent incorrect.... and I will tell you why....
You disconnect for the next 50 matches then don't play anymore for a bit and see if you get banned... cause if your ratio gets high enough.. you will...
Go into the end game chat with a killer and start throwing around some racial slurs.... you'll get a nice old ban if any of the 4 still in that lobby report you...
2 ways to prove it... The question is... "Do you believe your theory that the reporting system doesn't work."
Do you believe yourself or not?... Put your theory to the test... That is all I ask...
Cause I will bet you'll be promptly banned.
-
-
So what are you expecting from this post that you made?
BHVR to come out and be like.. oh sorry yeah you are right our ban system doesn't work.
When you submit the report ingame, it includes all the players who are in the match and it also includes the chat logs.
All reports require the ingame report done, because it proves you were in the match with a certain person, probably the one you are reporting.
You won't be told the results of the report you made... if those players are banned for whatever reason, you won't be told about it. Also if BHVR bans them, the ban doesn't show up on their profile, so you'll have no idea if they were or not.
-
LOL Op be like...
They are probably taking feedback....
-
@angryliven gonna have to wait for dedicated servers before there is some kind of solution on disconnects.
-
So... has tbagging gone anywhere?... No....
So what makes people think that the new End Game Challenge is going anywhere?
haha... good one!
-
You got voted down for that too LOL.. not from me.
-
really crappy then
-
No lol... you have the easy ending there... in the new End Game Challenge.
Last survivor.. 5 gens to go.. means hatch didn't come up yet, so nobody knows where it is yet.
Go find that hatch first.. survivor needs to find it before you.. or work on a gen...
You find it... camp it till you know where the survivor is.. then close it...
HAVE FUN!.. YOU WON THE CHALLENGE!
-
I read this and be like...
@Aven_Fallen I think the killer has to have ruin too.. seems to be an issue there from what I've heard.
-
@lunaticlifter nah... you don't balance around those who play the most efficient... You know why?.. Cause if they did, then when that big whole experiment that came out where SWF were crushing killers.. you know that big Derank bullshit.... How efficient were they?.. Did the Devs even really care about it?.. No because.. You don't balance the game around those who play the most efficient.
I have nothing against Zubat, and I agree he is one of the top players, but you don't balance around the top players, at least unless they did something as...
Making balance a bit more dynamic the more you increase in rank... but again.. how do you do that properly while at the same time not screwing over your lower rank and less skilled players?
Cause how it stands now... The more easier you make it so high rank killers to kill high rank survivors, you make it easier for low rank killers to kill low rank survivors.
You don't have too many high ranking survivor potatoes like their were in the past, but there is a ton of low rank potato survivors who would suffer the effects of balancing to high rank players.
-
nah its on console.. no need to worry.
