Those two are great as well. See, there is still a ton of major licenses on the table. Whether it be from video games or anything else.

When it comes to video game licenses, Outlast is another popular IP. I consider Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Outlast to be the trinity of most impactful horror games.

I don't even care if it doesn't do that, I don't care if it isn't licensed either. I just want it to be fun and if they're strong it's an added benefit.
It's definitely going to be licensed. With how mediocre the past original killers have been(with maybe the exception of Blight), they need to go big or go home on this anniversary. I dare say many people will stop playing DBD if it isn't an iconic license next.

The 5th Anniversary Chapter will make or break this game for me. It's getting really stale right now and if it's a 3rd disappointment in a row then I might unironically quit for a couple months.
And by disappointment I don't mean license I don't like- hell Pyramid Head is my favourite killer and I've never touched a Silent Hill game in my life- but it needs to be an actual good chapter with a good, fun killer, because for me the last fun killer we got was PH. It's been 9 months of effectively no new content because the perks are bad and the killers aren't fun. I don't wanna make it over a year.
Same for me. I just hope it's a super iconic chapter though. It must exceed Silent Hill in terms of hype

Maybe they'll add someone of your nationality one day too. And also, not everyone enjoys playing killer/Huntress. At the end of the day, these are just suggestions. :P

It's not about deserving. It just means that a Russian survivor is 100% possible. Characters from other countries can still be added anytime. Very simple :)

Nah, I think you are. Spirit is Japanese, so are Oni and Yui. 3 characters of the same nationality which makes your point moot. All we got is a Russian killer, so a survivor would be nice too.

She's thirst hype and nothing more. DBD is the "hall of fame" of horror, full of icons and characters that had a long lasting impact on their respective franchises and horror in general. Nemesis or Mr.X are the ones who come to mind when it comes to RE.

The RE8 lady is actually suggested? Mathieu Cote has described DBD as the "hall of fame" of horror icons. What has she done that has made an impact on the horror genre other than being thirst hype? That game hasn't even come out yet. Imagine getting your hands on a license that contains icons such as the likes of Nemesis and Mr.X, and you decide to bring Dumitrescu of all things. Would be a pretty unwise PR move. Icons>thirst hype

Personally, I don't think Outlast 2 lived up to the name and impact that the first installment made in world of horror gaming. The first game is just more memorable even to this day, so I would prefer a killer and survivor from that instead. If they did make a DLC based off Outlast 2 however, I definitely wouldn't want Lynn to be the survivor. Blake went through far worse and deserves being in DBD canon far more. Poor guy. :(

Probably not since the T-1000 doesn't come from a horror-tagged movie. I doubt we'll ever get Terminator content in DBD, but if we do, it will be all from the first movie as that is the only film of the franchise that's considered horror and tagged as it.

Those people should have the wisdom to understand that it wasn't Slenderman, the character at fault for any tragedy that happened to them. The world doesn't revolve around them. Slenderman is pretty famous figure in pop culture and the only people who thought he existed irl were kids, like with all fantasy characters.

That would be interesting. Terminator killer would prob be hard to balance though because he's literally based off guns.
The gun thing isn't so much of a problem considering the android is just a capable with his bare metallic hands and scanners. The fact that he would be physically the most powerful killer in the realms is more of a problem based on movie feats. Mostly because he shouldn't get blinded or stunned by a wooden pallet like a goof.

The same T-800 model that could rip a fellow T-600 in half with his bare hands like paper and use his entire body as a missile to take down a helicopter, then coming out with a few scratches after? Def a no, unless this is sarcasm. Cuz he'd be the single strongest thing in the realm by far. Would put Myers and Oni to shame

Older thread, but I'd love to see something like Frankenstein's monster. A wretched amalgamation of different body parts put together, the primitive-minded monster easily fell to the whispers of the Entity and now serves its purpose.

The thing is, a lot of the people don't know in just how many other games and movies the persona of Jack the Ripper has been used in. So they have this idea as if this would be the first time he's used in media(a game in this case). But it's not.

I would love some sci-fi horror in the game like the Xenomorph, so that's my fav from this list. If only BHVR would do something about the Terminator license like they did with Deathgarden(rip). Then we would have a perfect DBD sci-fi horror duo, an alien and a killing machine.

For sure. There are many incarnations of the yeti/abominable snowman that depicts it as a vicious monster, and I like the idea of more beast-type killers in the game after Demo. Maybe we can even get a Himalayan mountainside map

With Outlast, I personally think Chris Walker, the big military guy would fit a lot better seeing as how he's the poster boy of the first game. The thing what made Trager unique is how well-spoken and "sane" he was compared to the other Variants. DBD obviously won't bring that same charm if they picked him considering that full blown dialogues aren't really a thing in DBD(Plague doesn't count). Other than the fact that he's ANOTHER medical personal (doctor), he gets wrecked in like what, 10-20 minutes? One moment he's strapping you to a chair, and the next he's not having a good time with the elevator. Unlike Chris who chases you throughout the entire game. He's even more of a pain than the Walrider was.

There is a French horror folktale I had to do a paper on wayy back when I was in school called "Bluebeard", written by Charles Perrault and published way back in 1697. Bluebeard was a wealthy serial killer who tested his wives' temptations and patience. And if they failed, they would join the hundreds of other murdered wives in his chambers, another murdered body into the pile.
It's a very old timey piece of a horror folktale novel. I'd recommend a read when bored, or maybe watch some movie adaptions. But yeah, Bluebeard as a killer with some kind of locking down gens ability and you as survivors must find and "steal" his keys in order to progress would bring back old school into the game. Just my thoughts
