Yes, because people constantly did/do it, so why not just do the same?
I give as good as i get.
But oh no.... its toxic when the killer drag time, and completly fine when the survivors drag time?
I already said I don’t think camping exit gate is fine, all I said was killers have the choice push them out, or eliminate most of them before EGC Kek
You direct your anger to innocent people, which is not fine. If you really get so angry in dead by daylight, why not take a break? You can also uninstall for your own well-being’s sake :)
or you can make suggestions on forums about how to make killer game experience better, for example an option to play against swf or not . I personally would love that since swf games always means a struggle as I mostly play legion ghostie and trapper LOL

Is it not ok for the killers to bleed survivors out ,if that's what they enjoy about the game.
It doesn't matter if it's toxic or griefing, which is in the lightest form of griefing which people on any other game that has a bleed out timers ,people tend to let you bleed out, which is a constant thing in solo q battle royals but unbreakable and keys exist in this game
In a game with serial killers , who's goal is to kill you would think bleeding survivor's out would never happen in a game like that 🤣
When survivor's hide and wait for hatch ,which can last 30 minutes + should killers be given the option to stop the match ? 4 minutes of being slugged isn't nearly as bad as survivors jumping in a locker and staying in there 10 minutes when running tombstone
It sounds like the nurse never closed hatch why not try to crawl to the hatch, there's no way they can pick you up multiple times if your health was at 2% without trigger the escape from the killers grasp or you bleeding out because each time your put down you lose a couple of milliseconds on the health state.
I was in the game with an Ada and her team and they wouldn't let me hook her specifically all three of them body blocked 3 time's so I decided to slug her.I only see this as a way for survivors to bypass the DC penalty you could run tenacity hide a bit and just give up because you don't want to play that match but also making it harder for others in solo que,who can be griefed with this mechanic
I’m glad you agreeed it is a form of griefing. :)
once again, unbreakable and key is not a counter as the killer stands over the slug the entire time.
im not sure what you are talking about serial killers since I play dead by daylight which is a video game , and in dead by daylight there are hooks and hook states. I always try to hook survivors 3 times in my killer games. I thought I was playing dead by daylight, and I wasn’t playing a ‘game’ called ‘being bled out on floor while killer stands over me for 3.9 minutes’.
do read what I said when survivors hid or camped exit gates in my killer games.
im also glad you agreed killlers can push survivors out but survivors can’t make killers hook :)
-
‘When i was killer i started slugging just to give back for the exit gate camping’
you can’t possibly slug someone who already camped exit gate and eventually exited.
So you slugged random people to ‘make up’ for your previous bad experience. you literally said ‘stop wasting killers time and they might do the same’ but the game doesn’t start at EGC you know.

Last try...
When one side are WILLING to waste the time of the other side, (and given the chance they do it 95% of the time) with the argument, they can just push us out.
But the same side cry when the table is turned, which is rarely happening compared to how often they do it, because it have no counterplay (except for those mentioned already).
Thats double standards, they loose 4 minutes for every 20-30 mins they wasted of other peoples time, and then they complain about their wasted time.
When i was killer i started slugging just to give back for the exit gate camping, so there is your connection.
Stop wasting the killers time and the killer might do the same, - unless that train already left the station.
wow I disagree 200%
the survivor you slug is not the survivor that camps exit and tbags from your previous game.
Individual’s bad behaviour shouldn’t lead to punishments to the whole group. how is that even fair? :0
if a particular surv tbags me at every pallet or clicks clicks clicks at me as if they are super cool I just make sure they get my attention (which results in elimination LOL) as that is what they want

unbreakable basekit would destroying slugging in the whole game, and would destroy one tactical element of the killer. In my opinion the problem of slugging people to death is not that bad to remove the whole slugging mechanic
I really don’t want unbreakable basekit. I imagine myself vs a 3 or 4 man with 3-4 flashlights and they purposely got downed in the open T_T it had happened before!
do I have to use lightborn every game I see two flashlights in lobby? If I don’t have starstruck and infectious fright does it mean I’m doomed?

Uff 1/4 vs 10-15 times in 3-6 MONTHS? How many games could that have been, hundreds? That would be a huge difference in frequency.
1/4 of my killer games that I don’t get 2 kills or more. More than half of my killer games are 2-4 kills since the last rank reset. You know they need to group up at exit and tbag and blind and if they are alone at exit or just two of them left they run out asap LOL

No, again you get it wrong. I dont say they are related, ill repeat again "
Survivors are WILLING to waste 2 minutes of every single game, just to annoy the killer, but when the killer does it for 4 minutes its wrong? "I even wrote it with capital letters.
I wonder how bleeding for 4 minutes while standing over the slug is acceptable. Whats the points of having hooks in the game then? And I wonder how camping at the exit gate for 2 minutes when everyone is safe, is acceptable.
Are you really unable to see that "BOTH" actions are unnecessarily wasting the time of the other side? (if you reply will be "
the killer can just push the survivors out" then you are not understanding what im saying, or are simply too stubborn to admit that both sides are wasting each others time when doing it).I agree both actions cause a waste of time to another side.
The difference is as killer, if you have survivors attempting to waste your time for fun by exit campjng , you can go push them out and end the game as soon as you m1 maybe twice.
As survivors being bled on floor, you can’t make the killer hook you.

- same.
- Bleedout time is 4 minutes, endgame collapse is 2. (but survivors are dragging time every match, killers dont let you bleed out evey match, so i still think survivors are responisble for the majority of the time waste here.
- They can, but you miss my point. Survivors are WILLING to waste 2 minutes of every single game, just to annoy the killer, but when the killer does it for 4 minutes its wrong? (i doubt you get slugged every match?)
- Tough luck, survivors should think about it next time they drag time from the killer.
- No, mods have already said its fair play, just like the exit gate camping.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LCZ3Y85ORQW5/bmyzfbp-5b1-5d.png
I would say in 1/4 of my killer games that I don’t get any kills or just one kill, survivors ‘camp’ exit gates for 2 minutes. Like I said I just go around the map to hit snowmen, or you can break pallets and doors for points and your time waiting would get you some bp. Also as killers you push them out and it won’t be 2 minutes ;p if I were to be bled out on floor I couldn’t push the killer to hook me. How long I would be bled on floor is entirely decided by the killer.
I do not camp exit gates personally. The only times I dont leave at exit is a) someone else might stilll be in chase in map b) my buddy and I are gesturing at each other to take ss but we pretty much leave immediately after the ss are done.
You seem to make these two issues related to each other so I guess since I don’t ‘camp’ exit I don’t deserve to be bled out for 4 minutes? :)
i would say I was bled to death for about 10-15 times in the past 3-6 months. Way more frequent than in the past year or so. Some of which was understandable like I crawled away from the spot to try to find hatch. The others were just malicious gameplay.
I wonder how bleeding for 4 minutes while standing over the slug is acceptable. Whats the points of having hooks in the game then?
-
There was a video post that got edited/ deleted, which shows a leather face does the same thing to a felix in a match.
The person who posted the video mentioned this standing over the slug and unnecessary bleed till last moment before pick up even tho the slug is the last survivor is a common practice among certain players. I’m not mentioning who these players are as I suspected the post was removed for that reason. And tbh I didn’t even notice why I encountered more and more of these killers until the deleted post explained it.
I just want to discuss while slugging isn’t reportable, some slugging is in fact griefing. Offenders know slugging isn’t punishable that’s why they bleed the last survivor and stand over their characters for 3.9 minutes for ‘fun’.

How does changing an aspect of killer help the game because you don't want to be left on the ground to bleed out?
The timer for bleeding out was also increased when a player is moving around. If this happens so much in the EU why not bring bring a key then if you are last survivor, you can still escape through hatch if not surly the killer will be forced to hook you.
There's a lot of inconsistencies to your story , If they were slugging the entire game been slugging the entire game why wasn't anyone on gens which is what survivor's usually do to counter a face camping killer or slug builds because, they have to catch a survivor usually this takes a while to get a full slug game. From, what your saying you where never down by the killer and went from full health to none, which if they had been slugged the most likely ran the killer for a duration which, probably effected the pallet economy and this gives the killer more opportunity to slug which about time the match ended you would have been maybe 35 % of health but it sounds like you had group to play as if you were the only survivor to not be hooked, which infuriated the killer as you were probably being toxic not because he couldn't catch you but the usual bm.
Like I said there's gaps in the story you presented, I'm not understanding how were you guy's not doing gens or helping each off the ground which force's the killer to get into more chases, which the gens should have been finished. If you know this is going to happen why wait there for, four minutes you could fix a drink ,get a snack step outside,go kiss the wife. Are did you hide the entire game and wasted everyone's time?by not participating in the objective since you went from full bleed out?
Do you really play the game, and did you really read my original post?
Im trying to help here so here’s probably my last reply to you.
1 survivor was downed and hooked at the beginning of game. Another survivor unhooked while the nurse blinked back to hook and pretty much immediately downed the rescuer within 10 seconds. Until this point I noticed the nurse got PAIN RES as I screamed at my gen. Nurse hooked the rescuer and went for the one who was just unhooked. One hit down, another scourge hook and my gen exploded again. Rescuer got unhooked and the nurse blinked to him and ‘tunneled’ him off hook. Another one hit down and back on scourge hook. Repeat until these two died. I was on a gen, it blew up multiple times I don’t even remember how many, it couldn’t be finished. I did not know what another remaining full health survivor, mikaela was doing. I assume she did some of the unhooks as I was on the same exploding gen most of the time.
Me and mikaela left in game, the nurse downed the mikaela and slugged, I was still on that repeatedly exploded gen and as the progress was only about 50% so I decided to go across the map to pick mikaela up. In this case honestly finishing one gen wouldn’t even make any changes.
i picked mikaela up, she managed to fully healed herself while I got on another gen. Mikaela got found, downed and slugged again. My new gen was 99ed. I decided to pop it anyways. Killer was nearby already, I got in chase, downed. Mikaela bled to death around 2 minutes after I was downed. Killer continued to stand over my character for almost 2 more minutes, only picked up when my bled out bar like one sec to empty.
I could have brought a key, but it would only be a chance to escape while 1. Another survivor got left on floor for 4 whole minutes and I let it happen 2. I find the hatch before the killer does, or let the killer find the hatch and I do not get spotted before I find it mind you it takes a few seconds to reopen hatch with key now. 3. If killers see a survivor with key in lobby, they always eliminate them first which is one of the reasons I don’t normally bring key.

@[Deleted User] said:
Survivors can bring Unbreakable or Exponential, then a 4 player slug can be turned into a 0k, i have seen this done often.
Anyway, survivors will stand and tbag untill the last second of the endgame collapse 95% of the time.
So i dont buy the argement that "the killer is wasting our time". The only difference is, who is in control of that "wasted time"
I think I replied before.
- I don’t agree with survivors standing in front of exit line refusing to leave till last second
- the end game collapse is much shorter than bleed out time
- killers can choose to push survivors out the exit to end the game. Killers do not need a perk to avoid this situation. Or like I always do I just wait at another side of map as I don’t want to give those survivors boldness points. (Tho a friend always go hit them to get bp for himself )
- exponential doesn’t affect the entire map. Unbreakable could only be used once. Killers who choose to stand over the slug for 4 minutes can still hit the survivor and whoops 4 minutes of griefing starts now.
- i was the last survivor in the game, it was a 4K game already. But the killer would not hook till the moment before I bled out. Sure this is griefing.
-
I also had another experience of a starstruck nurse at midwich, downed ALL 4 SURVIVORS before any gens got done then let everyone bleed out for 4 minutes.
A nowhere to hide + eruption nurse at gideon and two survivors bled out from multiple downs.
A knock out deathslinger and never hooked anyone the entire game.
Two sadako who used Ring Drawing as addons and slugged until everyone was fully condemned.
And you are right, it happens quite often on EU servers! In the most extreme and malicious cases, it's exactly like the video you posted - killer stands over the slug to watch them bled out or hook until last second just to troll.

Correct. A collection of things. Tunneling this. Eruption that. People that don't like Killer X.
No one has left over bleedout all by itself. Especially since it has been largely unchanged. It has not suddenly gotten worse.
In my experiences it is getting worse.
I see why tunneling is an issue and why a light bt base kit is added. it's similar to being bled out to death - players being tunneled or bled out on floor don't exactly get the chance to play.
Eruption doesn't bother me that much. As I would still do gens and if it explodes it explodes, I wait for 16 sec and do another gen or unhook my teammate. I am still in the game and I can still choose what to do next, instead of lying on floor waiting for the game to end.

Also you've wasted more than 4 minutes of leisure time, posting this topic
Also I said everything that is done during the trial ?
Did you just decide that my words are unimportant and reply back with something snarky, instead of actually taking them into thought?
That's what it kind of seems like
I'm sorry that you feel that I think your words are unimportant and i responded in a snarky way but that isnt my intention at all. Tho I do find it funny that you think horror game players should welcome spending 4 minutes on floor
I open this thread bc I really like dbd and I would like to see the community grow in a healthy way.
Im not forced involuntarily to open this thread. I did this from my free will. But when Im being bled to death for 4 minutes, I do not have the control over that other than taking a dc penalty.
I also do not consider opening this thread as a waste of time.

UB basekit has nothing to do with current slugging. There's a reason it was introduced in the Finisher Mori PTB. It's to complement that update, because the Finisher Mori enables ending the game without a single hook. Since hooks are central to the game, the devs need to still make sure killers use them. Hence, the option for survivors to pick themselves up if the killer tries to slug for a Finisher Mori instead of just getting there naturally.
I do think your explanation makes sense but i also see conflicts here. If slugging for final mori should be prevented, and hooks should be used, why maliciously bleeding survs out on floor not punishable?
And i'm afraid in my experience on EU servers, malicious slugging as you call it, isn't as rare as you think. And it shouldnt be the person being bled out on floor to take the dc penalty.

Literally no one that has permanently quit DBD has done so because of bleeding out.
NO ONE.
There are many reasons to stop playing this game, but four minutes of bleed time isn't it. Especially when it's been in the game for ages, this isn't some new thing that is suddenly gonna cause a Survivor exodus.
I disagree. Over half of my dbd friends stopped playing bc of some overall unfun, unfair experiences. Being bled out for 4 minutes unnecessarily might not be the ENTIRE and SOLE reason to quit. But it does add up to these overall unpleasant experiences.
And tbf I would be a lot more keen to spend money on dlcs and auric cells if this community isnt as toxic and the devs actually do a better job.

You as a horror fan should welcome such activities ik this just a game but it's also a grounds of hunting, killers are permitted to do as they like. This why there's no rules in place they've already increased the bleed out timer as it is now.You are pitted against some of the most dangerous individuals from horror and DBD's lore everything done feeds The Entity. It is a killers job and survivors to cause whirlwind of emotional stir ups for The Entity to feed off in theory as bleeding out survivor's has caused you anguished . I've been playing this game for 5 years or 6 this has never bothered me nor heard in complain about me doing it to them?
LOL but sorry I do not live in dead by daylight, I live in reality. In reality my 4 whole minutes of leisure time is being wasted by some trolls. I'd much rather use that 4 minutes to get into another session to be scared by a mirror myers or feel the pressure to take the reverse beartrap off my character's head.
If your point is valid, there's no need to have hooks in the game at all. Let's all feel the 'horror' and 'adrenaline rush' of lying on floor for 4 minutes before the game ends
-
If bleeding survivors out on floor became a trend and more killers do so without consequences, I would uninstall. ;)
Why do you think there's an announcement about unbreakable base kit?
-
Well you said, if survivors don't do gens and can 'bully' killers for 2 hours. Which is pretty much some nonsense to me.
When I play killers, Im pretty happy if they don't do gens. Since I can take my time to eliminate them one by one. Hence there are gen slow down perks.
I really don't see your point of killers being 'bullied' if survivors don't do gens.

Which of those two statements he made isn't true?
I'm a Survivor Main, and he's right. We DON'T care about killer fun and four minutes clearly isn't a big deal. Many of us have zero problem taking a 5 minute DC penalty, but a four minute slug is now the end of the world?
The dc penalty is a volunteer one. You actively press the button to dc so you know the consquence. In other situations it's bad wifi or internet which sucks imo.
The being bled to death situation happens involuntarily. It's one or more player's time being wasted by another person.
In your argument, if it's ok to bleed survivors to death unnecessarily for 4 whole minutes, imagine more killers doing so for fun, more survivors spend their gaming time lying on ground, do you think people would still play survivors?

They said it's not comparable, but left out the part that Survivors is the only force controlling if gens get completed or not. Pretty important part if you ask me. There is two sides to every coin, and people need to think outside the box.
Survivors need to complete gens to get out. Killers don't need them to finish gens to get all 4 kills.

And what were you doing to them prior to? I bled a Nancy out tonight, I could have hooked her…she even crawled to the basement at the end. I even hooked her teammates and left her there, so I didn’t waste anyone else’s time. But you know what? She deserved it and I have no regrets.
She wanted to spend the entire match clicking and tbagging over and over and over no matter what I was doing or which other player I was engaging with. So toxic gets toxic back.
I’m not saying you were or were not being toxic, I’m saying you didn’t include enough to judge. You only said what the killer was doing that you found to be toxic.
I did mention in previous respond but I understand you didnt read all of them.
I did not tbag or point or wave at the killer. I did not have a flashlight. Only one gen was done the whole game which was done by me. Another person was left on floor till death. On that killer's steam profile, other players left -rep on how they were being bled to death by this same person for no reason too.
-
@Blueberry said:
I mean this happens once every like hundred games if that honestly. So rare to not even be a real issue. Even then, the rare times I do see this happen it’s because of something toxic the survivors did to instigate it or they intentionally crawled somewhere that they know the killer can’t hook from and expect the killer to be dumb.
I disagree. I also suspect it depends on which region/server you are on. Im mainly on EU, but i did have experience on the US servers, interestingly the US killers are a lot more friendly and fair so I imagine this situation is rare in the US
I have 3700 hours over almost 3 years. It is until the recent 3 months or so, bleeding to death on EU servers began to be a thing. I personally encountered about 6 or 7 killers who did this. The nurse I mentioned in the original post is a repeat offender, as other survivors also left -rep on their steam profile about being bled to death for no reason.
I can also confirm I didnt tbag or point or wave at the killer in my games.
Even if it's rare it doesnt mean it shouldnt be dealt with.

Refusing to do gens, just to bully the Killer for 2 hours isn't wasting everyone's time? Oh because it's just one player it affects - that makes it okay.
In my 3700 hours, I;ve never had a game longer than 40 minutes as killer. I had survivors who hid in bushes and corners at red forest, and basement lockers at coldwind. None of which game I felt 'bullied'. I did feel my time was wasted especially in the coldwind game as it took me about 10 minutes to find the last 2 survivors. At the end they were both downed and both disconnected as one of them got a key.
However, I can understand why they hid. They hid to try to escape, which was the objective of playing survivors.
'Bullied' for 2 hours? I had swf with 3 flashlights and 1 sabo box and stopped doing gens when 2 gens left. They all died after 15 minutes max while I got a lot of stuns, including flashlight saves and unable to hook cos the hook was sabotaged. But yeah they all died after 15 mins.
If the killer couldnt finish the game in 2 hours, I dont think it's a problem of toxic behaviour or game mechanics, it's a skill issue.

But the whole point of my idea is the 1000's of 'Let us give up when slugged' comments Survivors make. Alongside 'The match should just end when we are all slugged'.
This does exactly that. If the bubba was going to slug; he's going to slug. This just lets Survivors get out faster instead of, and I quote from some 'Staring at my character bleeding out for 2 minutes'.
Yes i understand, that's why i agree with ur suggestion to some extent.
That reply actually brought up another issur, the pipping issue, which is related to this situation. Your suggestion might solve the 4 minute wait but does not solve the problem of a unfair result (depip) of being slugged to death from first down.
Don't get me wrong your suggestion is still cool.

Ok?
It still fixes the problem Survivors have; Which is that being slugged takes forever & they just want to leave.
You have any valid points?
wait, I do agree with your suggestion to a certain extent, but i also understand that reply.
If players get in game to pip, and if you get endless slugging bubba or whoever LOL, it's impossible to pip even tho the game ends quicker than the current mechanism.
It is really unfair if that's the case.

If you have the survivors on the ground and refuse to pick them up, then is absolutely BM, since it is unnecessary and is not participating in the match so I'm not sure if is reportable. But 100% shame on those who do that.
Slugging someone because the killer spotted another survivor, even tho annoying (specially when the 3rd survivor is left on the ground till the killer finds the 4th to prevent that hatch), is "ok" (i don't like it).
I had a match where 2 survivors DC and the killer decided to slug till death the 2 of us who remained in the match because apparently this person had to blame someone and it was ok to treat us (who were more hurt in soloQ by those DCs at 5 gens) like that.
Exactly my thoughts. I would not just call it BM, i call it griefing and it should be punishable.
I'm sorry that happened to you. I can see it happens to many and it is an issue.

Okay, since you don’t get it.
Is the downed survivor on a pallet/the only path to a hook is through a pallet? Then the report is discarded, because killer has no reason to eat a potential Power Struggle.
Is the downed survivor unable to be found? Then the report is discarded, because killer literally can’t find them anyways.
Is the downed survivor in a place where the killer can’t reach a hook? The report is discarded, because the killer has no reason to let them wiggle off for free.
So on and so forth. And no, you’re wrong, because slugging to death isn’t against the rules. This means they now have to start reviewing an entire new category of reports where every single one needs METICULOUS individual review. And a video also will not be enough to definitively prove everything in some cases. You can’t prove whether the killer just isn’t looking or if they can’t find you. You would have to turn the camera around to show hooks in close enough distance to reach to prove the hooks distance. So on and so forth.
Hm i did mention earlier that I and many understand slugging as a strategy.
I also mention two scenarios of being bled to death and they both arent the situations u mentioned.
I am not discussing about necessary slugging as people on pallet, with boil over, no hooks etc. Im talking about the killer standing over survivors' characters just to watch them bleed unnecessarily. In my case I was the last survivor left in game and not on pallet.
Do you think this behaviour is acceptable, and people should continue to do this without consequences?
-
@Sycamore said:

Pretty sure yours is by making that statement. It's not either sides job to care about the other sides fun in the game. If a Killer finds fun in watching survivors bleed out - I say let them. Just like survivors have fun bullying Killers. So unless you want to fix both sides, I don't see there being any issue so long as no one is taking the game hostage.
When I get in a game as killer, Im prepared that I could be 'bullied'. As least I get to play the game!
But I do not accept to get in a game to have 4 minutes of my time lying on the floor, and this situation is intentionally created by another side. And I could not possibly do anything to change that other than eating that dc penalty.
The closer argument is survivors wait at exit refusing to leave till last second.

Because BHVR would have to review every single case individually which is way too time-consuming and impractical for something that has legitimate use as a strategy?
Right now they are reviewing every single case too.
I disagree with your point. If people know that bleeding survs to death to troll is punishable, then less people would do it for 'fun'.

Letting people bleed out -can- be the right play. Usually if they have Boil Over and run to a place you can't hook them from, then you've gotta just let them bleed out. Ditto if they're at a pallet and they might have Flip Flop/Power Struggle.
Most of the time people do it though, it's just them being a douche, but I mean it's not against the rules.
So why is it not against the rules? Why isnt this behaviour considered griefing and trolling and should be punished?
Like you said, there is a significant amount of killers who do this, when bleeding out to death isnt neccessary, it only makes the community even more toxic.
-
I think they are equally damaging, as the game could only be 'relatively' balanced when it's a 1v4.
Imagine a rando being slugged, and you got in chase and can't pick up, 2 other randos can't be bothered to pick up the slug, the slug gave up or disconnected, it became a 1v3 and it's not even your fault. Can we say the outcome of this situation is similar to people suicide on hook?
My question is why killers are allowed to bleed people to death unnecessarily without being punished.

Generally I agree but I don't see how a "give up" function after 90 seconds uninterrupted slugging can be exploited at all. At any rate, suicide on hook is far, far more problematic.

I mean hes not exactly wrong. Even the survivors that claim "the chase is the most fun part" is just for them because its usually just run from main to a longwall/TL into shack which is totally fun as killer.
hmmm, I think abusing the bleed out 4 minutes is a form of trolling.
I play both sides and I dont really think about other side's 'fun', but I do play as fairly as possible, and I DO NOT TROLL people for my own fun ;)

20 seconds death time is whack tho. That makes no sense. Enable the option to "Give up" after being slugged for uninterrupted 90 seconds.
That's long enough to say hey, you've had your chance to hook/heal, things aren't looking good, you wanna give up?
90 second slugs happen rarely unless the killer really wants to slug. Nobody is forced out but everybody has the option to just give up after plenty of time for the rest of the lobby to act on the situation.
I honestly still believe instead of adding new mechanics to the game, that would possibly create other loopholes to exploit, it's way more effective to ban the offenders, as long as evidences are provide.

My opinion is that 95% of the time this happens due to killer players who are giant a$$hats and whose lives are so pathetic that their only means of finding any scraps of joy is making other people miserable in a video game.
The other 5% of the time, the survivor probably deserved it. I’ve had a few matches as killer where the survivors intentionally hid for the entire match and didn’t touch gens or try to unhook teammates. In those matches, after I found the survivors, I slugged them and let them bleed to death for intentionally wasting my time.
I can confirm I did pop the only gen in the said game, didn't tbag or point or wave at the killer. On that killer's steam profile, I see other survivors' -rep on being bled out to death for no reason.
The only time i bled someone out was bc there were no hooks around me, and the survivor knew about it and purposely got downed at that corner of the map.
-
I agree. When i play killers I don't like survivors wasting my time standing at exit gates too. Right now I can go hit snowmen for points :D
But bear in mind the end game collapse is way shorter than bleeding out time.

Yeah let's just throw one way of building pressure as a killer out the window because a couple of people are not entertained enough every once in a while. Let's force pick ups, I'm sure that's not exploitable in any way. Also along with that make a couple of perks useless just like most of them already are. Nobody plays them anyways so nobody will notice.
Body block with otr or bt and force the DS because lol if you don't pick up you lose. So make sure not to tunnel. Or camp. Or actually disturb any survivor doing anything whatsoever. Let's make original DS basekit too, along with O³ because it's really annoying when I am trying to loop the baby killer and he keeps downing me for no reason (lag, hitboxes or cheats mostly)
I think most people agree slugging could be a strategy to win. But here I'd like to focus on unnecessarily bleed survivors to death/trolling/griefing.
I play killers too, and I don't really want unbreakable base kit to happen.
-
LOL I had some games like that yesterday.
Crazily I couldn't even unhook as the unhook bar didnt fill at all. I ended up getting stuck at the hook for a minute too.
Maybe some killers couldnt even hook due to the lag. Or maybe they just enjoy bleeding people to death, the community is pretty toxic atm I have to agree. I know how you feel.

Sadly I don't think you can even give proof of this to the devs. I have a video of a Knight doing exactly this to me that is only around 120mb. I tried uploading it to a support ticket to report the player but it keeps failing to upload giving me the error "Upload took too long". If I can't even upload a video of just being trolled during EGC, how are you supposed to give video proof of something happening?
Yeah I had the same experience, when i created a ticket to report, it only allowed me upload ONE screenshot. One screenshot can't really prove anything. In fact I have 10 screenshots of the killer stand over my character for the duration of nearly 4 minutes.
Also they would say slugging is not punishable, but surely griefing and trolling should be?

Only Soul Guard could possibly help with that, unless it's a Nurse or Blight.
Soul Guard would prolong the suffering. Just like the current light BT base kit, killers would just wait it out before hitting again.
Many of these toxic slugging killers I encountered are nurses. One sent us to midwich, ran starstruck, downed everyone and let everyone bleed to death for 4 whole minutes.
My thought is, dbd keeps adding these technical 'solutions' for a 'better experience', however, toxic people would still find a way to be toxic. They are the real source of these 'issues'. Why can't dbd just ban them?

Honestly, if all living Survivors are down and have no get-up perks; after 20 seconds of no one being picked up or moving; it should count it as dead and just kill them.
Why 20 seconds?
- This gives the Killer time to find and pick people up, so they are not denied hooks.
Why no movment?
- This prevents Survivors from just crawling away to deny the Killer hooks.
Each time a Killer picks someone up, the timer is reset for everyone (again; to allow the Killer time to find and hook people). And since the wriggle meter fills every time a Killer drops someone; they can't even spam pickup/drops to cheat the timer.
I think in terms of programming your suggestion is doable.
I also assume unbreakable base kit might be a attempt solution to unnecessary troll slugging. But I also think some survivors would abuse base kit unbreakable so I doubt it is a good change.
I feel instead of finding a technical solution to tackle toxic behaviour, and possibly create new loopholes/ issues, perhaps banning trolls would benefit the game and the community a lot more?
