This hasn't been changed, it still does not affect MMR.

Is this applied in any given case i.e all 3 survivors escape by exit but one escape through hatch?

No. Let people play with their friends, and don’t nerf, nerf, nerf. Not everything needs a nerf. Sometimes, buffing is the right call. And DbD really isn’t a game that can or should have multiple play modes. The only additional one needed is single player training mode with bots.

How far will buffs be needed to match voice coms ?, trapper and hag trap info can be given through voice where kindred basekit will not suffice. Then so many other killer abilities that can denied having info through voice comms, a gap I would like to argue will never be meet by buffs as it becomes a wallhacked game. % on gens where to team up to smash that gen. Yes most will not communicate at this level but then we have blight and nurse who’s current powers are justified due to swf. Nerfing in this case will be easier and accurate since solo would only be given a small buff (basekit kindred & BT(not denied by Patrick), while swf still being able to give more info to their teammates.

  • remove swf then nerfs to both sides can be made we actually get to see new gameplay or just create new game mode as you announce 6th anniversary and ignore it (most likely scenario).

  • Will be interesting to see what they’ll do but yeah will be a nightmare for low mmr survivors with legion being so easy to apply pressure. With immersed blendettes and healing each other at first injury, stats of "over performance" will pour in aswell as complaints.

  • Too much effort for the casual player whom just want a quick few rounds. But yes on rare occasions they may shine but 99% of the times DS & DH could have done the same job (winning time). MMR test should have been done after dh nerf not now as survivors over preforming with these perks may paint a different picture.

who I've played against today. All 6 of you that were using the same build. Corrupt, Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch and NOED. All of you tunneling instantly.

Extra special shout-out to the one using C33 and Alchemist's Ring.

Suffice it to say that I regret letting my friends convince me to play with whatever has happened to the matchmaker today. I've briefly unretired from Killer to help out with the tests, I can't rightly criticize something if I'm not willing to try to improve it. Holy ######### though, I am terrified to even attempt Killer if Survivor is any indication of what to expect.

No sweaty nurses only blights? Wonder what your mmr rating might be 🤣

  • @Peanits said:

Yes, we're planning to share what was testing afterwards. If we find anything interesting, we're hoping to share some stats on the tests as well.

the data that has gathered will be based on the current strength of dead hard. Hopefully similar test can be made after dead hard nerf? Any chance to look into the usage rate of dead hard for all matches that has been conducted for mmr test?

Artist slows down while placing a bird, which gives enough leeway for survivors to just bail to the next loop. Sadako just slows down while coming out of an unstealthy stealth. Both just slow the killer down. Neither can win chases quicker. Artist has all the weaknesses of old clown, hag, and new ones of her own. Survivors can remove her ability in like three different ways. Healthy survivors run through her birds while Artist is aiming at an injured teammate. Cross maps impossible with the locker removing the birds.

Artist is so bad to play as and its not because she's so strong and full of PoTeNtIaL. Like I feel some of the killer players on here are acting like they're bored playing her such an ez mode killer. Ba. Log. Na.

This killer is low. One might even say she's potentially low tier.

Onryo. My hype is over right now. Using Sadako TVs mid-Chase just guarantees the survivor bails in another direction because there is a loud, DIRECTIONAL audio cue to tell them where not to go.

Killers - Tell me. Do you like losing?

All new killers need to be weak, with nurse there is no need for buffs. All other killers are there to pay server bills & new content. You have the strongest killer for free but no 🤷

  • @Peanits said:

Not scrapped, no. This is something that is applied to maps going forward- where possible, of course. Both the new maps since that anniversary stream have had a lot more verticality than before. The Racoon City Police Station is 2(ish) floors throughout the entire map, and the Eyrie of Crows has a lot of verticality to the main building as well as some rougher terrain outside, with some tiles that sink into the terrain in addition to the usual hills.

It's something that's progressively being thought about on a case by case basis as maps are being worked on, not a sweeping change that's going to be added to every map any time soon.

Glad to hear that with the upcoming nerfs to dead hard people might actually consider other exhaustion perks.

  • @Mr_K said:

I think you got this backwards. People want all killers Legion level.

You mean survivors want that, even streamers now being accused of deliberately lowering their mmr off stream to put on a good show while they go live.

  • @Mandy said:

Grades do not equal MMR. Matchmaking is done on a hidden MMR rating, nothing to do with Grades whatsoever.

Are you trying to imply that tunneling a survivor out of a game does not occur more frequently in red ranks killers than other graded ranked killers?

  • 50 hours on nurse 30% win rate issue doing fast blinks

200-300 hours 40-50% similar issues op had line of sight and mind game survivor

400 hours 60-65% muscle memory with all distance blinks, good tile knowledge

600 hours 71-75% start to watch supaalf for tips and tournament matches

    1k+ hours 90% win rate

just nurse hours not counting playtime for being a survivor main or other killers for fun.

  • Looks good, only the car model looks low texture detail but dbd is not a car game i guess xD

  • See it like this

1st survivor to die -20 Mmr rating

2nd to die -10 mmr rating

3rd to die -8 mmr rating

4th to die -5 mmr rating

timing also play a roll the faster the better - rating you can get.

  • @Omans said:

Seeing the game as survivor sided or killer sided is looking at it too simply.

This is an asymetrical game. It can never be as simple as "this one team is stronger than the other team".

Rather than two, I'd say there are around four groups.

Top tier killers and SWF are stronger than lower tier killers and solo queue.

A Blight or nurse with the strongest addons and willing to play "dirty" is going to win the vast majority of their games. They are extremely overpowered compared to lower tier killers and solo queue survivors.

An SWF is the same. Very imbalanced when up against the bottom two groups.

They should either nerf the top two groups (swf and top tier killers) or buff the bottom two groups (solo queue and low tier killers).

People saying "NERF SURVIVORS!", or even the ones saying "NERF KILLERS!" just don't get it. Both sides have enough overpowered and underpowered parts to them that they need to be viewed as different groups entirely.

This, having 90% win rate on nurse and not going against swf often is what surprises me the most, when you would think these top swf teams would always go against 1% highest win rate killer players very often.

I don't use addons. Hard to say I have a vested interest in something I don't use.

Your youtube channel solely consist of nurse videos, if you read my earlier comments my claim states these bugs are not exclusive to the usage of add ons.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2848318#Comment_2848318

That doesn't seem visual, that is definitely a faster blink speed. I can't edit the clips right now to compare the speed one on one, but look at:

    https://streamable.com/wvhwqb

This is before nurse was recoded - fully charged blink took ~ 2 seconds: 13.333 m/s for 30 meters

    https://streamable.com/e5a2hg

This is from yesterday, blink seems to take a little more than 1 second.

Later I will try to compare the clips 1:1 with some video editor though

He has vested interest, nurse main if you checked his channel. Do not expect them to point out any change that has been made to her kit.

  • @Zozzy said:

Looks normal to me tbh, and i usually play nurse without addons.

I tried it today and did not notice any speed up.

I should be over blinking because i never use range addons but i am not. Smells more like a nerf attempt to me.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1421266747?t=3h34m45s

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1421266747?t=2h6m53s

Everything appears normal up to the point where she can traven from point A to B in instant removing the need to predict where the survivor will be once she has traveled to her destination. This was normally considered why nurse was respected for the time investment it required to be able to predict blink time + survivors future position. This now occuring in an instant removes that very skill ceiling which was why people gave up on playing her due to the time investment it required and has now been removed as it's more of a mechanical play of abusing the fast travel speed of the blink.

  • Win rate on new broken nurse vs pre patch :>

  • @dreamsy10 said:

Everyone in this thread is confirmed to be a surv main. Classic thing to cry over any killer. She got fixed from her 39439 bugs, she works as intended now.

As a fellow nurse main I understand your need for wanting to keep this unintended bug, but long term will be unhealthy for the game as it plummets her previous skill ceiling think of stridor spirit. She sure is very fun now in her broken state but contrary to stated in this thread this bug is applied to her basekit not exclusivly to range add ons.

  • Yup tested out basekit nurse no addons and she is broken, skill ceiling has plummeted no need to predict survivor movements anymore as the travel speed of a blink is ridiculous. Now the question is was this actually intended?

I should’ve re worded that differently. Idk exactly what killers should be changed if SWF wasn’t a thing anymore but at least a few would get looked at.

Nurse starstruck infection fright(?) 5k-10k hours impossible for solo queuers

    180° blight on certain maps

but rest is fine in my experience. But these deal with current swf so i guess not.

  • Will be interesting to see how VHS will handle ingame voice, but yeah you still have nurse for swf don’t see any need for balance. And NO no game has every character (killers in this case) at the top nor would it be a good idea seeing as most are casual i.e not tournament aspiring tryhards.

  • @GannTM said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2678134#Comment_2678134

Well the devs should focus on balancing the game to where solo and SWF are equal playing fields instead of killer players constantly blaming SWFs for their losses.

Voice communication is far too much advantage i.e killer location with no hooks, trapper or hag placement.

as a survivor main solo queuer i wouldn’t want to communicate with most at high mmr given the toxic chat even when we win. You can only imagine what voice communication would be like, but also now bhvr would need an entire team monitoring ingame Voice chat for rule breaking.

  • Laurie has the best grunts ingame what are you complaining about xD

I repeat, statistically, nurse has the lowest kill rate of every single killer. Hell, even Nea has a higher kill rate.

Doesn’t have =/= can achieve 90-95% kill rate

I REPEAT most will never reach that mastery.

Even BHVR pointed out your flawed logic in their last Q&A (check YouTube)

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2669279#Comment_2669279

Nurse doesn´t has a 90-95% kill rate. She has the lowest kill rate of all killers.

I was not refering to your average killer who comes to the forums and complain about survivors on these forums. Check SupaAlf (twitch or Google searches) nurse main whom is one of the few you can categorize as someone who knows how to play killer and mastered the killer. But most nurse Malins here are not even close.

  • What most here fail to realize is that vast majority of the playerbase are casuals, to go against s tier killers nurse blight spirit (double speed add on) require knowing every tile and map generated rng and on top of that be creative & random with movement pattern against "godly" nurses. That alone is only seen on 4-10k hours survivors. Sadly 1-3% of the playerbase will not finance an entire company (BHVR)

I don’t see the issue with the remainder of dbds lifespan having gutted killers for the foreseable future when you have 90-95% win rate killers such as nurse, will most reach that mastery most likely not same can be Said about the likelihood of 4x survivors going against that nurse one weak link is enough to wrap things up.

I will say that this would probably be the final straw for me.

It would mean that the devs have a vision for the game that is so different to mine that I'd probably just quit, and see if anything changed in a year or so (again).

Not about vision but rather the reality of having actual competition in this game genre. Without competitors killers got easy 4k games for years but now with other alternatives they have to ensure both sides (killer & survivors) get to win. No most dont want to be forced to swf to have decent games.

  • @Mandy said:

or it could be just a bug...which is what we've already acknowledged it as.

Could it be a bug that counterforce don’t apply to blessing totems? Assuming we countinue this line of logic?;)

  • nurse blight spirit = No

    rest = yes

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653934#Comment_2653934

She just got nerfed my guy. How can you still say she’s OP?

Her speed add ons often remove the need for mindgames. I think the lack of time needed to get good with spirit as there isn’t a long learning curve to get good with her other than slap some strong movement add ons and you can pretty much down most 2-5k hours survivors in a timely manner without much experience. Atleast that was my experience when i mained her mind you i had sound equalizer+ audiophile headphones making it 10x easier vs those pesky swf teams.

  • @GannTM said:

You can’t say she takes no skill anymore because survivors now have something to react to and you can’t stand still to get free hits anymore. I would say that she is in the top 10-15 skill requiring killers in the game right now. There’s unique mind games with her that require you to execute the mind game while losing sights of survivors. With old Spirit, sometimes you didn’t really need to see them as they had no idea where you were so it wasn’t exactly a mindful mind game with that.

What are your thoughts? I definitely think the fact that Spirit is as rare as a unicorn now proves she takes way more skill than before.

(Yes I know this is like my 57396205th thread on Spirit but I just love talking with people about her.)

I disagree you still get free hits when using speed add ons (iridescent ring) with double speed add ons making it even more brainless.

  • Ohly against 5k+ Hour nurses or iridescent ring spirit does it become à problem. But overall no.

  • @Pulsar said:

I'd like to get some form of official response, so, I'm sorry for the tag but do you think you could see if there's an answer @MandyTalk?

I'd just like to know because I'm pretty damn close to quitting. If there's hope that the team is aware of things and are working on a solution to make the game more fun and enjoyable for everyone at high MMR, I can tough it out.

If the team has no plans to change anything there though, I'd like to be made aware so that I can quit for my own mental health's sake. 95% of matches are totally miserable.

I think I've only been playing because I believed that the game was going to get better. Whether it be promises of 60 FPS or improved gameplay, I stuck around. Now though? 60 FPS obviously isn't coming and the gameplay is worse than ever.

I'd just like to know if it's worth sticking around. Thank you.

You may want to define when fun is achieved for you? Was it fun when playing killer as 4k+ Hours vs 4x survivors with 100-500 hours playtime opponents? What sbmm has achieved and mentioned by the devs in their Q&A was to prevent the stomp games. As you said yourself you have to lower your mmr in order to get stressfree matches. So what is fun then? This is a highly subjective topic so i would love to hear your definition of what fun is. This might help the devs understand rather than "Make the game fun for me".
