With consistent frames
vsync fixes that 90% of the time.
the other 10% G-Sync/FreeSync make it much easier to tolerate.

It just happened to me. I was on hawkins as cheryl and bing bong boye had just bing bonged at us when I got DCd. I got 3 separate errors, and one of them was related to a game save that failed to load.
I got timed out for it, too.

Sometimes you have no option which any player knows. A gen could be in the open and to prevent a 3 gen its one which should done if playing smartly.
Of course its not the killers fault as they are just players. No one ever said it was the killer fault so that's moot point.
It is of course BHVR's fault this time as I will say it for the third time. The animations were stated by them on stream to not change survivor movements and were purely visual.
How is it BHVR's fault you chose to go for that generator?

I like this a lot more than the current, ngl. I also like the current.

Shouldn't turn a blind eye. Take that as you will
Identical hardware and software running to others who are not having issues you claim is reason enough to not buy it. It's a problem with your individual console, likely hair or dust stuck on the heatsink or exhaust causing overheating/throttling problems you didn't notice before.
-
I'm a big fan of the new UI, but it does have some glaring issues that could be addressed.
Like, I agree the survivors being in the top left away from literally everything is a bit silly. Why not put it on the top right above the tiny indicators they use on the right? lol that way at least everything that's relevant is together. Survivors, NOED/Exhaustion/broken/whatever below that, then your icons for your perks.

Console player.... I don't have those options. My choices are eat the sh*t sandwich or "Play another game"
They said "it's going live so console players can test it" and anywhere I look vast majority do not like it. But then they say it "can't be reverted" so people are mad. The ui has some good stuff however it was poorly executed, I also understand that bugs happen but my console is struggling a lot more with frames, hits, lag.
Animations and the camera is my biggest issue as it gives me extreme motion sickness
I don't buy your console is suddenly struggling. Take that how you will.

When @not_Queen said they can't change the UI, I thought thats odd as you can revert changes and then I saw this
and he also said unless they delete every old patch they should be able to change the UI.
if they're telling the truth on it's non-revertible, then it's possible one of the changes they made was how the UI is updated from interactions reported from the server, and I'm speculating that they have whole new calls being pushed, not just handling them differently once the client receives them. That would mean more than just client-side changes like a lot of graphical updates require which is why they don't want to go back.
But that's just an alternative opinion.

That's his feedback, that my feed back, and people being mad is also feedback. He also states that he shouldn't have to change his setting to run a game (in his stream) which scream volumes when console players can't do that and are just stuck
I didn't have to change a setting to play. I'm at 144hz right now and it plays just fine. There's a setting you can change in an ini to force 144hz that's been available for literal years. It's just here recently it only capped at 120 even if you said 144 because of software things with the game, but the point is there's a fix that's existed for well before this patch.
The whole problem is negated as well if you have G-Sync/FreeSync enabled, but that's getting into splitting hairs.

Because when there is no terrain a killer such as those I mentioned gets a down a lot more easily with a lot less counter play.
Again these killers were designed with the ability to dodge in mind and again the patch was not meant to change survivor movements.
This means the animations have to be bugged so players should give feedback as they are clearly not working as they intended them too.
The question then is why was the survivor hanging out where there was no cover? How is that the killers or BHVR's fault?

@SonicOffline this guy explains a lot better how most people are feeling.
Literally the whole complaint of his video was "Here's what I personally don't like about the changes, but I'm extrapolating it to everyone." and presents the same arguments everyone else has said, like "The money spent could've gone into something else." He also said he had to turn his monitor down to 60hz, instead of upping the game to 144hz. If he'd have done a little research on that instead of formulating a very opinionated complaint he wouldn't be having as many game-breaking issues. The whole video is "I don't enjoy..." "I really don't enjoy..." "Everyone literally hates this..."
lol.

There are countless polls and posts regarding the UI.
on steam alone dbd has shed 10,000 players in the last 24 hours.
it seems like people just stick their head in the sand regarding bad dev decisions.
If there's 10000 people playing and only like 25 people responding in a poll, that's not valuable feedback.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Thousands of people asked them not to take the UI to live and they told them all to shove off.
Do you honestly think they are going to listen to some people telling them to undo everything entirely? We couldn't get one thing DELAYED let alone "reverted" how the hell are you going to make them suddenly undo a whole update xD
Thousands? Do you have any links to the thousands of people? Because so far I've only really seen like 9 or 10 people with any actual feedback and a few more just echoing the opinions that actually are just "I'm mad" without any actual feedback at all.

There should still be an option to juke hits from the killer.
It adds more skill on the survivor and killer side
Says who? I wouldn't be mad at all if the change got reverted, but I also don't see an issue whatsoever with the update that makes people change how they think about only like 5 positions in a given map.

When we have a PTB people can leave feedback, and steam has their own community pages it's quite easy to see people are not happy
But when less than 5% of the total player base uses either of those methods to provide feedback, it's not a valid representation of "what the community wants."

@twistedmonkey said:

Well to be fair they did openly state on one of their streams that the new survivor animations would only be visual and not change how the survivor moves so the complaints about the new animations are completely valid.
A huntress, slinger pyramid head, billy etc yes should get a hit when they actually hit and that should never be in doubt but when you can't dodge in the same way as previously then it becomes a much easier hit for them. These killers afterall were designed with the past movement in mind along with being able to dodge to create some counter play.
I don't understand why it's hard to play around terrain instead of out in the open and relying on jukes. Terrain still interrupts killer hits.

The surprises to me are that they didn't listen to the community and had absolutely no good reason why, I just feel like people might be more understanding if they would show where they're intending on taking the game , I mean it's not like they have any competition.
How did they not listen to the community? I keep seeing people say this, but I don't see where the community complained. just 9 or 10 people on the forums, which is not representative of the tens of thousands of players.

this guy just told everything I wanted to, just watch his video
I'm trying to listen to him, but he keeps saying everyone said to not do the update. I wanted the update, so he's automatically wrong. It's just a 10 minute rant of "I don't like the new animations and refuse to re-learn them." Frankly, that's a weak argument. He even said he was gonna keep playing, undermining the entire video and point.
-
My thoughts are there have been no surprises in this patch. They released basically all of them a month ago on the PTB. Not much has changed since that test, including new animations.
-
"Devs made changes I didn't like the whole game is dead now ;~;" is all the post really says. As a survivor AND killer player, I really don't have an issue with the new animations. You can't randy-arse zag to the left now to get out of Huntress or Slinger, but like, if they hit you while you're trying to juke they'd have likely hit you anyway. Why is it hard to just stay near terrain and/or change your strategy from randy-arse juking in the open?

If you quit you get a time out, not a ban.
And that is happening with whatever maps. In any map he will be stuck to the ground for some unknown reason. I'm trying to determine if if has anything to do with being in a chase or where you are looking or if it is a type of specific tile or simply the design of the power itself. If it's one of the last ones it will be pretty much random for anyone using the power.
If you really want to argue semantics, a temp ban is still a ban.
Also it seems to happen if you swap to Victor near terrain that's raised. He hops out into the terrain then gets stuck.

I used to feel the same, and was happy to support DBD by spending on cosmetics and new DLC content.
New players do NOT feel this way, and never give DBD a chance because of the price. Why would they drop $40 for a game they might not be interested in, especially a multiplayer game? Most multiplayer games are free, because they're not reliable purchases. Multiplayer games have a lifespan dependent on the game community. For a prospective gamer looking into new games to try out and buy, Dead by Daylight is not worth the risk.
By making the base game free, the community WILL grow. For the people who love the game and dedicate hundreds of hours into it, they will purchase the DLC content and cosmetics. I really see no downsides, I don't understand why the developers have waited this long. They try to emulate Fortnite's success with the battle pass system, but still price the base game at exorbitant prices when Fortnite is free?
I've been playing barely a year and have personally bought at least three copies at the $40 price point.
I strongly feel it should be a like $60 game.
-
I feel that $40 is too little for this game, given how many hours I've put into it.
-
IMO make it so the gas spreads when survivors run through it and make his attack slightly longer. Either lunge or the actual swipe length.

only generators means letting people die on first hook or whatever. It's by far a very inefficient way to play.

99ing the gates is just survivors exploiting their way around the EGC, so they dont feel pressured to go for saves. So essentially, in this case the EGC does nothing.
Exit gates should passively regress.
And no, survivors are not the only ones who exploit, but since more people play survivor than killer, more survivors tend to exploit since the playerbase is larger.
How about you just open the gate yourself and force EGC? If you closed the hatch you've already forced EGC so it doesn't matter if it's 99'd or not.

Kinda just a visual cue to make using crows for detection more viable. They are/were a fairly pointless mechanic with how dark many of the maps are. Essentially most Survivors didn't really care if they disturb them because the Killers wouldn't pay much attention to them or just flat out couldn't see them so now they can actually be used more reliably for tracking.
Why do you think they're pointless though? lmao Just because you keep running into potato killers who refuse to take advantage of it doesn't mean it's a pointless mechanic. It quite literally is free information.
-
no one at all? :\

as far as I know, it was only during the 4th year anniversary and you had to have the DLC installed and selected on the main menu.
-
I main killer, but I do play both sides since I can't play killer without pissing my friends off. In my opinion Mori is eh. It's kinda crap that you can just be removed, but it's not like you get punished for being morid. You just get a shorter game.
Not opposed to a rework, but I think it's fine how it is.

Doctor is literally an M1 killer with an AoE interrupt and 8 flavors of excessive skill checks.

@ProfoundEnding said:
I honestly don't really want it. It usually just spreads toxicity. Plus, it's rather difficult to type fast with a controller. A gg would be easy but if you want to say anything more then that, the killer will likely leave before you even get to finish your sentence.
Just hide the chat then. We can hide it on PC and it even retains the previous setting so it stays closed. No accidental toxicity trying to turn it off 🙃

Oh hello, you are not forced to buy anything. Just wait indefinite amount of time to get a chance of the perk you want to appear, what do you mean we are forcing you? you are making things up! what do you mean that making people who don't want to pay extra money to waste time desperately waiting, while offering an "easy" way out of spending extra money IS forcing them to pay to win? What a nonsense, right?
What is wrong with you?
It's not pay to win though. Just because you don't want to wait doesn't mean it's suddenly pay to win. If you can't afford or refuse to pay for the DLC, you're welcome to wait. It's completely free.

Totally doesn't sound like people are forced to buy dlc because of the inconsistency and randomness of the shrine, yeah, right.
You're not forced to buy the DLC. You're welcome to wait til it's in the shrine if you don't want to buy it. I'm really not understanding the complaint, because it literally translates into "Free isn't good enough for paid products."

Excuse me,
WHAT?
>tfw people have no patience.
By patience you must be meaning waiting MONTHS before the perk you need pops in shrine right? MONTHS. AND EVEN YEARS. Do you REALLY think that making people, who either don't have or don't want to pay for DLC, wait for MONTHS AND YEARS to get a CHANCE to earn payable content that gives ADVANTAGE in game is OKAY? Are you sane?
I could understand if you had to wait fixed time. Like there was a "schedule" of perks released on shrine and they are cycling through it in the coarse of a few months. That would make perfect sense then. You know when to expect the perk to show up and you wait. The situation is entirely ######### different when NOBODY has even the SLIGHTEST clue when each perk is going to be on shrine. The are freaking random.
>You're lucky you even get that, to be honest. Most games either paywall or have an extreme grind.
"You're lucky". You know, this time is one of the rare times I get into genuine revulsion. Congrats, you've actually made me feel hate, although "hate" is a bit strong word. "disgust" is better.
Also, what "most" games? Chineese games? I feel sorry for you if you think it's okay for games to be P2W or that Chineese games are a standart of games for you.
CSGO, Valorant, Overwatch, ApexLegends and other games like that have NO P2W at ALL. All gameplay affecting content can be FARMED there in a FIXED amount of time (and, what a surpised, that doesn't take eternity). DbD on the other hand, not only has P2W content, but it also FORCES you to buy it, because you are left in disadvantage if you don't.
You could buy the DLC if you don't want to wait, just a suggestion.

No, I cannot get behind the Shrine. You're lucky you even get that, to be honest. Most games either paywall or have an extreme grind.
