Yeah, he is in a really bad state.
I think that merging his old power with parts of the new one, plus adding some things like failed skill checks not waking you up, etc. would make him better again.
I really hope that BHVR will do good with his next rework.

I remember a post which suggested that Pharnacy could give you the item equivalent of a syringe. An interesting idea, to say the least.
Edit: Both @ReverseVelocity and @jesterkind made a post with a suggestion to change Pharmacy this way.
-
Agree with the posts above, we need the reagents to do something.
Also, the removal of the little fog that was left seems wild to me. You can clearly see across the map, which feels wrong. If anything, the fog should be denser, and the Reagents should make it even more dense.
-
It happened again. I dont know if it’s an issue with Ormond or what, but it’s weird.

how is everyone dead in 1 minute vs bubba…
Didn’t one of the content creators post a video of him doing exactly that?
I’m not sure which one, though.

Fun fact: A Haddie skin got into the final selection, but they couldn’t contact the artist, so it got removed.
-
I would love this kind of feature.
Even small amounts would be nice.

They said they are working on something… maybe this takes (a lot of) time.
Even a little conversion would be nice.
I will never use this "less fog" add on ever. Who wants less fog?
Might as well run nothing, the fog just doesn’t exist in game anymore.
-
Yup, the first one especially.
-
I chose the Hag, Dredge and Unknown skins, as well as the Sable, Adam and Gabe ones.
If I could, I would select the Nurse and Huntress ones.

For example, Lights Out. Let us use bloodpoint offerings. These don't change the match in any way, but make playing it more worthwhile.
I would like this. The Lights Out challenges in which you had to gain 100 000 bloodpoint were such a chore to do.

I agree with you, the totem spots suck.

I prefer daytime maps because dark maps are hard on my old eyes but I wouldn’t be against them so others can be happy. What I want is proper fog to make stealth more viable.

Seconding this, I would love moody maps which support the Blendette playstyle.
-
Please, I want the weather effects and the different times of day.
Imagine Coldwind at dusk, or Ormond with a snowstorm. I would love that so much.
-
I'm happy that Chaos Shuffle is coming back too.
Lights Out was nice at the start, but the novelty is long gone. It overstayed it's welcome tbh.
-
I just want Snowstorm Ormond.
And foggy, dark, moody maps.
Please.

I put a bit more thought into it, and decided to change my opinions on Zanshin Tactics and Poised

I think that at the very least, Sacrificial Ward should be Uncommon and remove maps from the pool if an offering is played on them.

Made some changes to the original post, mainly because more stuff has been revealed.

Can anyone confirm this or no? i swaer the hooks are lot more sparse in this mode.

Following up on my post above, here are the 3 survivor perks:
Boon: Quid Pro Quo
A boon that was made to disorient. To hinder. To distract. However, power comes at a price.
You start the trial with 2 tokens.
Whenever a generator is repaired, you gain 1 token.
Blessing a totem consumes 2 tokens and gives the person the Exposed status effect until the totem gets snuffed.
Re-positioning a lit boon consumes 1 token. This effect does not affect other boon perks.
While in the boon's radius:
• All survivor actions and sounds are 50% quieter.
• The killer gains a 10% speed reduction to vaulting and breaking pallets/breakable walls/generators. This debuff doesn't reveal itself to the killer. If the killer snuffs out or breaks the blessed totem, all hooks on the map, with the exception of basement hooks, get broken for
30/45/60 seconds. If a survivor is hooked when this effect activates, they will get unhooked and the hook breaks.Amnesia
You know from experience how much harm can medicine do if it's used in the wrong way.
You start the trial with 4 vials.
You can drop these vials anywhere on the map, seeing their auras from 36 meters away. Other survivors see them from 16 meters away.
If the killer steps on a vial, it will break and create a cloud of gas. Anyone in this cloud of gas will be affected by Blindness and Amnesia for 30/60/90 seconds.Amnesia conceals the player's HUD, hiding the amount of generators remaining, the states of survivors, status effects etc.
Into the Shadows
You have developed an ability to recognize the right time to step out of danger's way.
Every 60 seconds of total chase time, this perk activates, inflicting Exhausted for 5 seconds.
When the Exhaustion timer ends, following effects happen for 5/10/15 seconds:
• You won't leave any scratch marks or pools of blood.
• The killer will be unable to see your aura.
• Grunts of pain and your footsteps will be muffled by 100% -
I actually made 6 perks some time ago, 3 for killer and 3 for survivor. Here are the 3 killer perks:
Scourge Hook: Creative Slaugter
It's said that serial killers never change or adjust their methods of slaughter. That was never your case.
At the start of a trial, 4 random hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks.
Each time a survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, a random one of the following effects applies to the survivor who unhooked:
• 30/60/90 seconds of Blindness
• 10/20/30 seconds of Exposed
• 30/60/90 seconds of Deafened
• 40/50/60 seconds of Oblivious
• 5/7/10 seconds of Hindered
• 15/30/45 seconds of Exhausted
• 30/60/90 seconds of Amnesia
• 10/15/20 seconds of IncapacitatedNone of these effects can happen twice in a row.
Amnesia conceals the player's HUD, hiding the amount of generators remaining, the states of survivors, status effects etc.
Secrecy
You have always been surrounded by a shroud of mystery and secrets.
For the first 60/90/120 seconds of a trial, survivors will be unable to interact, hear or see all totems on the map.
Then, this perk deativates.
Fakeout
Plot twists, fake evidence, unexpected endings, that is your speciality.
You can create 1 Fake Generator. You can put it in places where generators can spawn normally by pressing the Active Ability Button. The Fake Generator will be highlighted to you in green. There can be only 1 Fake Generator in the trial.
Survivors can repair this generator, up to 25 charges. They will not get any skill checks. Once they reach 25 charges, the generator explodes, creating a Loud Noice Notification. The generator then vanishes.
Survivors repairing the generator during the explosion lose a health state. If a survivor is within a 6/9/12 meter radius of the generator when it explodes, they will scream and become Incapacitated for 7/12/17 seconds.
This perk disables once all generators are powered.
-
Hag is good at proxycamping and 3-genning. That's it.
She is also a great killer when you want to jumpscare people.
-
Also, made a seperate post about this, but the hooks are WAY more spread out than usual.
Makes it difficult to hook. I guess the strategy is to slug and 3 gen, you don't have agency otherwise in this.
-
I hope they won't do this.
Plague is one of the most unique killers in the game, and is fairly well balanced.
The only nerfs I could even think of, are for her iri add-ons. That's it.
Cenobite needs buffs. End of discussion.
-
The Forever Freddy vibes are getting strong with thus one...
-
Funnily enough, the devs seem to agree with you.
Ever since Project W, we didn't get a map with a single breakable wall
-
Sounds good, I'm in.
-
I’ll say remove her completely, give people who bought her a refund, rework her from the ground up (upgraded or a completely new power, fixed lore and tonally consistent cosmetics) and re-release her into the game.
Might as well do it instead of creating this fiasco.
-
Make it so that everything outside of gens counts the corrected skill check as failed. Problem solved.
-
These sound decent.

I wish we got a BP modifier for this mode, because honestly, I'm not going to touch it after I get my event rewards. And I'm a killer, I love playing spooky and ambushing people from the dark, but to only get like 25k BP in a match? Pfft.
Another good reason to go back as soon as the tome is done.

Survivors are not compensated when they are nerfed. Self Care, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard, Circle of Healing were all nerfed into uselessness in most cases. No compensation to survivors that likes to use them.
I think killers are not used to being on the other end.
With how I imagine this would work, Skull Merchant as we know her would be, in practice, completely removed and replaced by a new character. This would include her power, which could be different to the point where there have very little in common, her lore would be changed, her skins would be changed...
If they only want to rework her power, then fine, keep her in. But this could be a great opportunity to fix mistakes that cannot be changed otherwise.
To summarize, the reason I want her removed and re-released, is because it would allow for changes far beyond the normal rework boundaries.
Also, it would keep the complaints minimal since you can't be angry at something that doesn't exist.
-
@Mr_K said:
Should we disable perks when changes are announced? Are we going to disable thing only when its nerfs? How about buffs?
Skull Merchant got nuked, not nerfed. With the power getting eventually reworked anyway and the few people playing her wanting to leave, why won't we just remove her, rebuild her from the ground up with a new power, lore and cosmetics and then return her back.
-
A few hours ago, I would call people dramatic for saying this mode is survivor sided.
Played few matches as killer, and…well...
The AFC buff didn't bother me, but the Endurance sure did. The gen speeds do their thing too.
I got 2 widely different outcomes in this mode:
- Get genrushed and before you know it, survivors are at the gates.
- Kill 2 survivors, and one just starts hiding, not touching gens.
I will try survivor as well, but yeah, it seems this mode can be put to rest.

It's really not that simple. In order to remove her from the game with no timeline to her return, multiple other things would have to happen:
- Tools of Torment would need to be removed as DLC due to false advertising risks (she's front and center on the material).
- Renato and Thalita (along with their perks) would either need to be made free for everyone or also be removed. And most likely they would be removed and returned later along with Merchant and the Tools DLC (because business reasons).
So you aren't just refunding Merchant, they would need to refund the survivors as well. I wasn't around when the Stranger Things content was removed, but I imagine it would be something similar to that.
Tools of Torment could just become a survivor only chapter for the time being. Changing few images wouldn’t be that difficult. Theoretically, we could just make a separate DLC just for the two. As for her perks, they could be made into general ones until she comes back.
-
It would be the best thing to do (no offense to anyone who plays her), since not only would it shut up all the complaints, but doing it this way would let them do way more then just adjusting values. We are talking rework from the ground up.
Plus, that would give them an opportuntity to fix her lore to be more about her and the interesting parts of her life (not this stuff with her parents), fix the tone inconstistency with her lore and cosmetics etc.
-
Checked out your suggestion, and found my comment under it lol.
But yeah, my opinion is the same, I would like the version you made.
-
I agree that it should have been added to the dev update.
On the other end, though, why even release this change now? If she's getting reworked, why are we messing with a power that will soon be irrelevant?
-
Ok, so might I offer a suggestion?
Just remove her from the game completely (and compensate people who bought her and her skins) and re-release her when you have the new power figured out. That would also be a good chance to fix up her lore and cosmetics.
-
I like the new Inner Focus and Poised. Also, the new Lucky Star.
-
I thought that the SM rework was this. But found out there is another one planned.
So.... what was the purpose of this all? Why release this when a rework will change everything anyway?
Also, why even rework her again? Did we just give up and decided "Yup, this is a failed concept."?
My serious suggestion: Just remove and later re-release her with a better power, lore and cosmetics. The power is getting changed regardless, might as well take few months longer and iron out everything else. And of course refund everyone who bought her and her cosmetics.

Ohhhh we like, though maybe give it a small CD for when the survivor gets unhooked? Don't want super easy trades.
Good idea!

Nerfs to Weave Attunement + Franklins combo:
Weave Attunement: The dropped items are now revealed to survivors.
Franklin's Demise: Fully consumed items disappear from the trial.

A new but kind of fun exhaustion perk. Doesn't give the basic 150% movement buff. I think it could be fun for mind games.

Let me know what you think.
A very nice stealth perk. You go around the corner and disappear. It's also not busted. I like it
