Good luck dealing with that art syle and implementing it in the game.
-
Hux's strenght is ok in the 1v4, since he can clean pallets insanely fast if the survivor doesnt know when to greed, but in the 1v1 he sucks because the survivor has the entire map's resources.
As @Devil_hit11 said, Chucky and Nurse bypass having yo sorry about resources so they are ok the top.
-
Just pick a killer that takes their time chasing but rewards the killer with a lot of slowdown
Pig, Onryo, Wesker,
-
Survivors already struggle to learn all 38 killer Powers, what do you think would happen if they had to deal with more than 7 perks to deal with?
Neccesary evil in my opinion

Also, Iron Will and Off the Record seem to be one of your big arguments against Spirit, but guess what?
Dracula can also get screwed over by the same exact perks.
Dracula has 50% bonus audio on footsteps, kind of like a basekit stridor but for steps
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Dracula
-
Please reconsider if you actually enjoy playing the game.
Like he kind of embodies every killer in the game, having to learn how to deal with zoning, dashes-line-of-sight, tracking, stealth (Bar Form specially) , mobility and overall so much skillexpressive parts to engage on both sides I wouldnt blame you if you got overwhelmed honestly.
-
I combine Windows 's Sound Equalization and use stridor so I can hear more without going deaf from Max volume, basically sacrifying a perk slot whenever I play spirit or Dracula but it's worth it in my opinion
-
Not every loop can be played by his rush alone, he needs to setup with his normal speed.
Also chucky has survivor's hitbox, so he doesnt count as a 4.4
-
New player experiencie and grind are both abysmal, until those are fixed gl having a growing playerbase
-
The twins change's because of the speed curve, not the cooldown time. Basically Victor gains full movement speed during the last 0.7 seconds of his cooldown, making kicking him awkard.
He should have his speed curve fixed instead of this so you spend less time to get to the slug and make slugging harder.

I think the secret ingridient is the nodding animation being so extreme, I mean have you ever seen a dog nod? Didn't know I wanted to ser a dog nod before lol

Wraith's entire power involves using your increased lunge post uncloak to shut down loops, get free first hits, and force out pallets. It genuinely feels harder to not get a Surprise Attack than it does to get one in most matches.
The conclussion I ended up with is that they nerfed it so it wouldnt be the only addon used (vecna's addons suck ass)

Yes. Because it's balanced and in the margin of error. Because the data are normal.
Please find better arguments. I am done arguing with someone who doesn't understand basic statistical tools like a margin of error, dawg… and I'm done with this thread. Not a singular soul gets it.
I mean, people value anectdotal evidence over statistical one.
People their perceived value of the quality of their games over statistics
-
Because flashlights kill survivors more than they save them lmao.
When a survivor uses a flashlight that survivor risk their healthstate for an extra healthstate and a stun on an unaware killer, and they have to be close to the killer, which is time off gens and chance to make the killer aware of your location.
Distortion has no risk to it, other than the killer not running auras, in which you lose a single perk

Okay but Wraith's "Blind Warrior - White" gives it for 70 seconds and is only Rare (and both are fairly easy to trigger)
It's on surprise attacks, which, if I remember correctly, Is a basic attack 5 seconds after uncloaking, which gets harder to do against better survivors.
Regardless, Vecna and Wraith are different in strenght and abilability of this resource, so they get different timers therefore.
-
Because it would give sloppy for an addon slot instead of a perk, and it would be pretty strong because of that.
-
F tier bait
-
Actually started running it because I hated 2 floor maps and my teamates got value, if you make sure it's around a 3 gen it can be really useful
-
I mean, the meta encourages hooking over slugging, even unbreakable, which is THE anti-slugging perk has a relatively low-pick rate, it kind of barely can be considered meta.
-
Ghostface and Myers in this mode are very chessy, since you can go spaming the stalk button to check where a survivor could be and once the bar starts going up you get free instadowns because survivors have no way of seeing you past the darkness.
-
@ZamasuManzon said:
I was expecting to see a punishment when this bastard misses a chainsaw attack.
He will still NONE.
He is not like Wesker that can be heavy punished if he misses the second dash. Billy simply chooses to stop the dash next to the surv and he and almost instantly start another insta-down attack.Don't understimate those 0.2 seconds, since they make shack safer (a miss guarantees window now) and makes lopro even worse
-
I think the reason may be to make the game more watchable, aka removing the boring hold w until something happens part of the game.
For example, these new maps come included with more playable pallets and hiding spots in the edges so less holding w and more chaing loops, which is more impressive than running away while both sides akwardky look at each other until they close the gap.
-
Take a break and come back when chaos shuffle comes back?
-
Exponential Is so good on 2 floor maps, or maps with a main building that has a totem.
If you get unlucky with totem spawns it drops significantly, making unbreakable better.
It's a gamble that pays off most of the time
-
If this happens often you should consider unbreakable or plot twist, sluging's puspose is a faster hook to gain preassure when you lack time to afford a hook.
If you get 4 man slugged against a 4.4 is because your team rushed for the save instead of doing gens and forcing a hook.
-
Ds prevents killers from tunneling
Killers stop tunneling
Survivors unequip the perk
Killers tunnel again
I whish my SoloQ teamates equipped the perk instead of dying in 2 seconds after unhook and killing themselves on hook.
-
Why have a % of extra gen lost while using the perk, this perk is supposed to help new players, and new players struggle a lot with gen efficency, so making the perk more punishing for a mistake the averege player won't make is kinda backwards.
Since the silent skillchecks won't come intro play at averege level, will 100% gen noise cancel be enough for a single perk?
-
(Also remember to stack shiny coins whith your friends to make the perk better)
-
I personally enjoy using it against corrupt intervention and grim embrace, since I can just use the time the gens are blocked to get the double search and then force the killer to commit to chasing me.
If I happen to get a medkit I give it to a survivor I unhook and I use the toolboxes to further make up the time investment.
Honestly super underrated perk which I hope they buff.
-
Ressurgance Is right there.
Syringes are right there.
Momento of Glory is, efficency wise, an 8 second heal with Apraissal, which allows you to counter gen-blocking.
-
Play M1 killers to judge the distancie from which you will be hit, and choosing when to greed or drop depending on the state of the game.
Also you have increased dropping range when walking and NOT running, use it to pallet vacuum if you want a stun.
Lastly identify if the killer you are playing against is weaker against stuns or dropped pallets and act accordingly.

As a Demo main, Id argue Coup is decent on them.
Coup is like Shred but it can curve around objects, and the existing of Shred allows you to save on Coup stacks for when you really need it.
Yeah, demo's age makes him struggle a lot with round stuff, which he can make up with shred making tl walls and shack really unsafe.
-
Yeah rat poison makes him ######### braindead. Chucky wouldnt have such a bad rep if that addon didn't remove a lot of counterplay.
The worst part Is that when combined with Alch Chucky it gives him perma aura reading, making him op.
-
You have to find the right killer though, the perk is SIGNIFICANTLY better based on killer power. Such examples are:
- Singularity
- Spirit
- Vecna
- Twins
And some slightly worse picks:
- Myers
- Wraith
- Demogorgon
-
Alch Chucky is still in the game btw, and has been for a couple of months

He's just gonna sit there in weakness and obscurity like so many others, because the moment you make them a sliver stronger, "Oh my god! OP killah!"
TBF today's playerbase and dev team can deal with noobstompers way better than in 2018. You have to remember how much more dangerous noobstompers were back in the day, when people where less skilled and the playerbase was smaller.
Hell, pig suffered a similar fate, however was redeemed with buffs to ger more skillexpressive parts of her kit! Twins are THE macro killer and they thrive unlike everbefore!
-
I frankly hope they don't nerf the reduction to 90% to much, since that's what make him get punished for misses and feel better to play against than clown. I think the better way to go would be to buff his m/s slowdown and add impaling wire basekit.
-
Probably the layoffs...

When was this confirmed? Did I miss something?

Don't worry about it the zombies broke and it barely ######### works.
I love this game.

If it truly happens so often… why not capitalize on it?
Soma Family Photo is a Very Rare Add-on for Quantum Instantiation . Buff: reduced the Duration penalty from -50 % to -20 %. Change: reduced the Rarity from to . Rework: now temporarily applies the Hindered Status Effect to Survivors slipstreamed through a Biopod and also causes those Survivors to suffer from Deep Wound, should they happen to be injured.Knock Out is a Unique Perk belonging to The Cannibal .Prestige The Cannibal to Prestige 1, 2, 3 respectively to unlock Tier I, Tier II, Tier III of Knock Out for all other Characters. Nerf: now only triggers on Basic Attacks. Buff: now causes downed Survivors to temporarily have no Aura-reading abilities and to crawl at a slower pace. QoL: now temporarily causes downed Survivors to be deafened, while applying a tunnel vision effect. Buff: added the effect of temporarily reducing Recovery speed.Soma does quick work of OTR and knock out gives you pressure for the slug.
Going inside lockers doesn't work because you can't evade Soma Family Photo.
One addon-perk combo to rule them all…

Cant really make her healthier because that's literally deathslinger's job, the best you can do is nerf her camping and buff her chase agency, but she is unfortunately broken to the core, doomed to be left in deathslinger's shadow.
I mean, all the fancy shots and snipes don't work against good players, so you are left with a iffy 4.4 with insanely good cooldowns.
Why do you think every game at high levels ends up with huntress camping a survivor to death? Anything more skill expressive is actively detterred…

I reject this because, I'm hoping, at some point killers are gonna wake up and realize chase perks and endgame as far superior. They're still using gen defence because they've convinced themselves it's the only way. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Gen defence hasn't been good for years. I always scoffed at those people who said, "You don't need gen defence vs good teams. You can just beat them." But maybe what they meant is what I've realized, that something like Spirit Fury/Enduring plus Rancor and maybe an aura perk could, if nothing else, at least get you the draw vs good teams. I refuse to take that build off my killers because to me it's all that works, and you might see other killers follow suit.
My aura perks of choice, if I bring one, is Gearhead. It procks often enough to where you see survivors exactly when you need to: when they're on gens and on heals. If you have Rancor, you might not need it, but it can help in finding the person you need to tunnel. Tunneling 1 out, and then finding Rancor at the end is a draw. Alternatively you can tunnel 1 out, hook someone else at the end, and the Rancor can't come in so the last person has to hook trade. That's a draw still. But if they screw up at the end, you can turn a 2k into a 3k or even 4k. I'm tired of settling for draws, but this is the best we got right now. It's the only thing stopping the meta we all fear, which is having to go all-in on slugging.
Im sorry, but the 3 gen meta was brain dead, there was no strategizing at all. Survivors were invulnerable when far from your 3 gen, and you couldn't do anything about it. Likewise they also couldn't do anything about the gens because eruption LITERALLY FORCED THEM TO DO NOTHING. It got changed because it made high skill matches boring stalemates, and this affected the content creation part too, so literally no one benefited from it.

FYI - hitting survivors with tail has longer CD, but you lose way less distance due to speed curve being different. Hitting people with tail is sorta like having an equivalent of 3-4 STBFL stacks as that's roughly the distance you preserve.
Are you sure the cooldowns on tail hits are the same for turrets and hits? Cause I swear they feel significantly different. Like I swear basic attacks feel faster than tail hits on turrets.
-
If you throw a granade the explosion is what does the damage not the damn granade
In all seriousness you should wait for the upcoming-changes, which will probably tackle his obnoxious cooldown.
-
The thing is, as long as survivors place turrets directly next to tunnels he will be significantly stronger than against actually good survivors.
I mean, the cooldown for tail hits is significantly greater than basic attacks, and the turrets literally shutdown 3 seconds after xeno exits a tunnel to teach survivors to NOT do that yet they just do it over and over again and accidentally buff xeno lol
-
Unbreakable pickrate decrased , which is why sludging is at an all time high.
I think scott's idea would fix all issues whit sluging:

the issue with current and most other regression metas we had is that they had to be more overpowered than not to encourage people into healthier playstyles since anything else just guarantees killers will play in an unhealthy way since it's not discouraged in any way.
We kinda just have to have slowdown/regression meta that favours chasing killers because everything else ends up a disaster. Overbrine meta had killers preferring to kick gens over chasing survivors for example. Not good.
as for "the only thing you saw", it's the same everywhere. Everyone runs the same perks with minor alterations. People had similar issues with ruin/pop as they do now with pain embrace.
Everyone runs bc it's good → people who deal with it hate it because it's everywhere and it's good.
If anything, I'd be thankful for current killer meta as it gives survivors a pretty good chance to win games as it allows survivors to maintain their momentum in case they managed to secure early game and not get snowballed.
THIS! the mft ultimate weapon meta was the worst meta and the 3 gen meta nearly killed the game… if anything we have one of the best metas ever…
