Right. And while I'm tormenting a survivor the others are popping gens. No thanks.

I'm discussing the merits of changing the system into a hook-based one, not whether it's a viable approach currently.

Although a solution is also getting better at killer. It's not a coincidence that actual good players that post content win most of their games without hard tunnelling/camping.

  • Short answer: Yes, absolutely. I see it more in my survivor and killers games as well as content creators. Not to mention the increase in my grabs being refunded for NOTHING.

  • This reply is as sophisticated as creationists jabbing at evolution theory because it has 'theory' in it. Good work.

If you had any knowledge on the base lore of the game you'd understand that the killer's job is as a tormentor first, killer second, as your sponsor feeds off the hope, pain and anger that goes on in the trial.

Just because the current goalpost for wins is kills doesn't mean it's good. The game rewards you with points and pips for extending the game, so obviously there's a desire for that to be the base gameplay, but BHVR has no solution to making this work yet.

And no, most killers I know, including myself, would rather chase more than score ez kills.

I just checked the last 40 videos from that channel and Huntress doesn’t show up in any of them. So while I was wrong about it being only Nurse and Blight, I say my point still stands that she isn’t in comp because she’s not good enough.

You once again show a lack of knowledge on how tournaments work. The last twenty you've checked likely had a lot of killers in common because they're all in the SAME ROUND. Huntress was mainly available in round 1 of that tournament, which would logically be released earlier.

The finals of that tournament had Myers, Ghostface and Wraith in them. Are you seriously suggesting they're better than Huntress in comp? Your metric makes no sense. She's a godly camper and very good at securing kills, why wouldn't she be a good choice?

I guess you’re right we have seen her twice in 8 years so I guess that counts as seeing her (that’s a joke) 99.99% of the videos covering the comp scene do not have Huntress as the killer. Almost all are exclusively Blight/ Nurse so if she does get picked nobody cares about her matches at all lol. And the most recent showcase of her in comp on Hens’s channel she got cooked every time so idk what to tell you I never see her at all.

I can whip out a handful just the past year. And just on DBDLeague on videos they have Huntress annotated on, there are likely much more scattered around. Your narrative of Huntress being some abandoned child in comp is nonsense. She isn't as liked because most of the time she's relegated to camping because that's her forte. It's boring and nobody wants to watch that.

The proof I'm providing below also serves to show it isn't ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY Blight / Nurse, even if they tend to be more common on average.

Maybe you never see her because you don't watch comp. Anyone who followed the recent DBDleague tournaments would know already.

a handful of times in 8 years isn’t good proof. She’s not picked in comp because she’s not good enough.

She's picked regularly because most comp tournaments involve brackets of killers separated in power. Most of them time the killers aren't even 'picked', they're given for both teams to use. Sometimes it's in a bracket of a few others, and huntress' ability to camp very effectively makes her a good choice all things considered.

There's no more huntresses as there are Weskers or Artists. Blights and Nurses tend to be spotlight killers due to them not needing as many restrictions.

That said, how can you say there's only a handful? Have you counted every round of every tournament in the last years? I'm willing to bet she's picked, mostly because teams don't always get to choose.

Seriously, why are people having these opinions? It's like nobody knows how comp works and yet they have the biggest opinions about it.

Edit: The question was if we've seen Huntress in comp. The answer is yes and I provided a very recent event. Stop moving the goal post.

  • To add to the video above, here's All Hallows League with one of the rounds features the Huntress being played by both teams. Said teams being Eternal and Elysium.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvpxYXFCWRU

I don't understand defending a narrative with something so easily searched up.

  • "Just dodge him."

I'm seriously excited to see all the bad faith killer players saying good survivors can juke Victor semi-consistently. The amount of lies people say to hoard as many advantages possible is staggering. This would actually beat the awful survivor players defending Made for This and old DH.

  • Better than even nurse by a noticeable margin. Even with a 5 second cooldown after a hit for Victor he's still going to kill people in 10-15 seconds with no reasonable counterplay. Abomination of an updated killer. The slugging issue doesn't change either since picking up returns Victor in 6 seconds rather than the new cooldown.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Agree, either disable the power, or just deplete all charges from it, so Blight for example cannot just instantly rush to you.

This is the right way to approach it. Their power only refills when they recover from the stun, otherwise Nurse still insta-kills.

That's a really hot take. Even as a veteran player it is an incredibly strong perk, because you basically get to plan out your entire chase in advance and won't make any mistakes.

A great example is preschool, you know two pallets will always spawn in the school but you don't know which positions they will be at. So going into the school for the first time while being chased, going left or right is the difference between a down and extending the chase by potentially minutes. With windows, you pick the right direction every time

It's certainly useful and your example is sound, but is it a crutch? I really don't think so. Nerfing that perk really just feels like shortcomings being blamed on something else. Your example also mentions Badham which is a terrible realm for killer to begin with, WoO or not.

This is my opinion and my experience, however. It might feel different for others. But I definitely call copium to some extent. Some people are just not as good as they think they are.

  • Gonna say it outright: Any killer player that thinks Windows is the reason they are losing are coping hard. The players that crutch on this perk are pretty easy to smack with most killer powers.

  • Crouch tech - Sure, it's really dumb that it screws some killers and it looks incredibly dumb.

Pluto tech - No, bodyblocking isn't a bug or exploit. You shouldn't be guaranteed a bump just because you clicked M2. Nor does this break gameplay or is beyond the Blight's control any more than survivors bodyblocking a hook for any killer.

  • Nothing's changed except you get punished more for missing. Which implies you miss a lot if he's unplayable for you.

    Massive skill issue.

And just the same, Xeno can be hard countered with good macro gameplay. It requires getting off gens; which most players are allergic to nowadays, but if you're constantly setting up webs of turrets and running him into them, he has to continuously drop chase or commit as the tallest M1 killer in the game.

Most players are 'allergic' to it because the main component to team-wide strategy, communication, is lacking in the standard gameplay experience of survivor, being solo queue. The best thing you can do in this case is rush out gens before the killer kills everyone. It's a sound approach that works.

Nemesis doesn't need macro-gameplay to be defeated. The way every team member plays the 1 v 1 is what matters. Playing safe and pre-dropping to keep him in T1 is the BEST way to hurt that killer. No macro needed. Only hoping your teammates know this, and most don't, but that's just solo queue for you.

Xenomorph has no such limitations. It will wreck you in 1 v 1 and can break the turrets before it is stunned out of power. Especially with its best addons. You just hope and pray your teammates set up turrets halfway decently to gain a few seconds on the killer when it breaks the turrets.

If you legit can't utilise the speed you get from being hit during endurance to get up to the window, you are legit doing something wrong.

Leatherface with his most commonly used addons catches up almost instantly to a survivor that's speed bursting. Unless there's a window or pallet really close to you, there is a very good chance you go down regardless of what you do. You see this countless times in videos by very good content creators. It's definitely not a skill thing here, just the Bubba experience.

  • The AMA exists solely to cover the 'lack of transparency and communication' criticism they could no longer ignore. Now that they've done it, they can say they've worked to improve that, even if it was overall a waste of time with minimal concrete information.

If they don't want to make promises they can't keep, then they could at least give schedules they would like to keep or add details as to why things are on the backburner. Instead it's all vague and unsatisfying. A complete waste of energy.

    Generically corporate as always.

  • Actually, there were TWO addons that was completely busted that got nerfed early on: C21 and Soul Chemical. The former used to have double the duration and range that made it used by everyone.

After this nothing was really touched. I think C21 was just blatantly busted for a green addon at the time and was remedied quickly, but the rest had yet to prove their worth since there was such a vast selection of good stuff to use.

Soul chemical gave free aura reading to anyone 8 meters from you while rushing.

    After that? Nada.

  • I mean every high level player has agreed it needs a nerf/adjustment in some way, so I think he's right. The whole 'you're bad' comment is likely him being frustrated of being 'outplayed' by players that are clearly not playing all that good but are getting away with small things that become irritating. MomoSeventh had a similar issue.

Also to the 'appeal to authority fallacy' line, Knightlight plays pubs like everyone else is undeniably better than anyone posting here. I'd take his opinion over the vast majority of people, including my own friends that are experienced at the game.

  • I've picked up Wesker during the event after an 8 month hiatus of the game. Here's my take on this:

-I agree with a system to limit having the same killer. Even if it increases queues, I'd rather that than people continuously hate the killer.

-He is not skill-less. He does not have an obvious anti-loop and is quite technical. Most Weskers are just Nemmy graduates that only know to camp and use their power with little skill. But just because people suck doesn't mean the killer doesn't have depth.

    -Survivor also requires skill.

It's a shame more killers aren't like Wesker. It'd make the game way more fun.

    Did I say that?

I just made a guess. Obviously I’m right to some degree, there’s a reason they aren’t touching blight. I don’t assume to know, but there is a reason.

I’m into making more logical guess like that, then some of the guesses I’ve seen like “The main dev is a blight main.” Like c’mon…

To be fair, they've never been subtle on some balance decisions. Eg. Pig getting a TR change while Huntress gets to have a special 20 m TR while other 110% have a consistent 24m at a time where they wanted standardization. The theory of favouritism isn't a crazy one, but indeed impossible to prove. It'll remain fun speculation.

  • @HugTechLover said:

I guarantee his rates and stats are not high enough to warrant nerfing, and that’s why he hasn’t been touched. Alch ring and c33 may not be over-performing as you might thing they are.

Yes, at top tier, they seem overpowering, but they do not make blight good. I’ve seen alch ring c33 blights get no hooks in a game.

When a killer has so many insanely good addons to choose from, none of them stand out as overperforming. Excel sheet analytics at their finest. Like are you seriously going to tell me C33 is less problematic than Marvin's Blood?

I've seen MDR Cherry Blossom Spirits get dunked on by solos. Just because players are bad doesn't mean the killer and the addons don't have issues. Balancing just around bad players is as bad as balancing just around the strongest players. As it stands, Blight has just avoided balance passes while Spirit has had two so far. It's very strange.

What? Representation isnt about knowing a characters kinks... at all... its so people can feel normal and see themselves in the characters they play. By this logic people who want to see ethnic diversity are just obsessed with race and need help.

I've responded to the other person regarding this and I clarified that I found obsessing over every character's sexual orientation is very strange to me and borders on unhealthy. Knowing every character's orientation isn't about representation anymore, it borders on obsession. This applies also to people who put way too much attention to it, barring academic work.

Representation is fine. I think its importance in generic media is severely overvalued, but I'm actually fine with it. I do not think the notion itself is close to unhealthy.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3470383#Comment_3470383

Asking for representation is not wanting to know what characters do "in the sheets" as you said and it's pretty disingenuous to say that people have interest in it just because they have an unhealthy relationship with sexuality.

Representation is about giving the players a character they can resonate with, someone that might have been through the same struggles in their life and that can make people think less lonely, less of an outsider.

We have to keep in mind that, even if it's 2023, not every society welcomes diversity.

I never said asking for representation was wanting to know what they do 'in the sheets', nor is that the complete notion as I've also said 'does romantically', which encompasses a lot of one's sexuality (or absence of). I was addressing OP's question of knowing EVERY character's orientation/preferences. And to me it is very weird to give attention to EVERY character's sexuality for the sake of it. And I am at the full belief that people, including myself as I fully admit I have issues in that regard, who fixate themselves on sexuality likely don't have a very healthy relationship with it. But that is an opinion, you're free to say I'm wrong, but I don't think it's disingenuous.

That's fine. I'm fine with representation. I'm less fine with focusing on every character's sexuality, whether it's straight, gay, bi, trans or anything else. It comes off as an unsettling fixation on something that is very personal and yet not necessarily determinant of their persons.

I agree. I've been to such communities. I'd love to see an LGBT+ Russian or Arabic character, or even Chinese. It'd put BHVR a step further in fighting for progress than mega giants like Procter and Gamble that also embrace the rainbow every year. And it could resonate with people who play your game that definitely feel isolated.

  • There's something super weird about wanting to know what every character does romantically and in the sheets. Idk, unless it's relevant to their character, I feel like people who take a lot of interest in it have an unhealthy relationship with sexuality in some form and are often incredibly self-indulgent.

I wouldn't be against it being explored in some other characters, but again, only if it adds something to the character and doesn't cater to the rampant self-indulgence we find online.

  • Good. I know many like it, but I can't stand the weird collision that realm has. And also ARP and Gas Heaven can bite me.

  • Only issue I have is that most Weskers are actually mediocre, and thus will just be Nemesis 2.0 and tunnel the first thing they see. The killer himself is great and a good one is always fun. But let's face it, because of his popularity, a good amount of people playing him are not the cream of the crop. Actually, a lot of them are downright crap. It's more so a player thing than killer thing.

  • I don't think many people here realize how effortlessly easy it is to chain loops on this map. Especially at the area opposite of the house. It's even more damning that a jungle gym spawns right in front of the god window of the house and has a god pallet adjacent to it. Absolutely ludicrous design, I'm pretty surprised nobody is commenting on that instead of rating individual loops. The loop can be unsafe/playable yet really powerful if it has a window nearby. And Garden of Joy is swollen with that sort of stuff.

Awful map by its layout, size and structures.

  • Excuse me if I don't want to play against the extremely suspicion epic games account that's gone anonymous. I've had my fill of cheaters.

Play with friends if you can't stand people not always wanting to stick around.

  • Rotten Fields is also terrible. Nowhere to put pods beyond shack in the middle, and corn makes targeting survivors a mess. One EMP in shack and you've gotta reset everything.

  • I agree for a 'favourite' option. Every Nemesis addon is total waste beyond Marvin's Blood, in all honesty. Some have niche uses but ultimately none really improve my experience consistently beyond that one addon. I do not see why I shouldn't be able to get more of that just to make Nemesis not be an addonless wet rag with no variety.

I would say this should stop at green rarity. We don't need more purple and red spammers.

  • Given you've taken this chance to advertise yourself, I thought of checking out your content to see that TTV you were talking about, but instead I ended up arching a brow.

I mean you could answer the question yourself. Why do you call SWF's that act cheeky 'cheaters' in endgame chat? Why do you DC in a game you're losing and writing 'Gen rushers' as if it was a negative? Why do you report people for waiting for you at the gates under the guise of hostage taking when the game will inevitably end soon with EGC? All of this behaviour is pure salt due to bad experiences.

There are very unpleasant TTV's that definitely overdo it, but given your own not-so-positive habits, that could've been answered easily with some introspection.

  • @Sharby said:

"As if its a necessity" is assuming the killer's pov. There could be any reason to slug for the 4k, but it boils down to because the killer wants to.

The same could be applied to tbagging and clicking. There is no current solution to this behavior that doesn't hinder gameplay, so the game allows it.

They just need an option to go next if you're slugged, and remove collision if you have crows. Then there will be no way to hold either side hostage.

While I don't disagree with you, simplifying things to 'because they want to' just feels a like a full-stop to what can be an interesting conversation to help understand why things are the way they are. If we simplified everything to 'because people want to', there'd be very little to discuss when it comes to human psychology and why people make certain choices. For some it's obvious, for others it isn't.

That says you are right and none of these actions are actually condemnable. I fully agree with your suggestions. Same with a killer being immobile for too long, they should lose collision.

  • @Sharby said:

Because the killer wants to slug for a 4k and the game allows it.

    No further reasoning is required.

The question didn't pertain to the legitimacy of the act of slugging for the 4k, it was to the reasons as to why some killers do it as if it's a necessity. Reasons were given.

The game also allows groups of friends to endlessly click and tbag lesser skilled players. They want to do it and the game allows it. Doesn't change the fact that it's annoying and people ask why it's necessary for this to happen.

  • Only for adepts and challenges, or if the survivor team was particularly obnoxious and some justice is being dished back.

Otherwise it's just player ego or lashing out at weaker teams for being belittled in their previous game (the helpless taking it out on the helpless, it's creepy how common that mindset is even on the survivor side).

Did you not read the post I responded to? Because that's the only you can pretend to not know that I was responding specifically about him comparing rage quitting in a video game to the civils right movement.

At this point, I'm not responding any further because it's clear you aren't interested in defending the point, just making attacks.

I addressed this in my first reply to you, you just chose to ignore it to re-enforce a point I dedicated a paragraph to. This became circular because you were incapable of addressing the actual idea Kay was presenting and instead used their example involving the civil rights movements as a strawman you repeatedly beat to death.

I'm seeing a trend with using alarmist terms and themes as bases for arguments. I haven't seen this much bad faith in a while.

You are talking about oppression the minute you bring up the civil rights movement as a comparison. Did you not pay attention to history class?

??? Are you trying to bait??? Is this also a discussion about universal healthcare too? Or the right to strike and unionize? (since I've given that example too)

It's like you stopped at the very first sentence I wrote and are acting purposely daft to the actual argument being made.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3447205#Comment_3447205

You're not being oppressed because you happen to face things you don't like in a pvp game. Comparing it to protests against actual oppression is a very tone deaf and shows a very limited knowledge about the world around you.

There's plenty of pvp games out there. If you find yourself constantly giving up in games and not having fun, then go find a different game to play. This "act of protest" is only hurting those who actually want to play the game and all you are doing is making yourself look like a child who can't handle any sort of conflict.

Nobody is talking about oppression. Just because it's the main subject of ONE example, doesn't mean a similar principle that applies to it must consequently apply to only subjects revolving around oppression. Obviously nobody is being actually oppressed in a video game. All you're doing here is beating a strawman at this point to disregard the main argument.

While I don't disagree that people who give up that early are little whining turds, they're in their right to play and Kay explained in a concise manner why it isn't correct to call it entitled. Until BHVR makes a hard stance on this, they're not breaking any rules. Yeah, it sucks, just as it sucks that there are strikes in essential areas of my country every week which make my day suck more. It's how it is and I understand it, even if I don't like it.

At the end of the day, BHVR never tried to really punish these people so they clearly don't agree with your perspective. And that's the company that told people to go play Civ.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3447145#Comment_3447145

It's literally just a video game. If the video game is too much for someone to handle, then they should go play something. No one is forcing you to play DBD and ruin other's experiences, because you want to be a baby.

And comparing a video game to the civil rights movement is in complete bad taste.

Just because it is a video game doesn't invalidate the principle they're expressing.

The person isn't saying the situations are comparable, they're using a very easy and widely known example to illustrate the essence of the principle they're putting forward. Instead of focusing on the argument they're putting forward, you're deciding to attack examples that apply in different areas to make it easier to understand. You're purposefully ignoring the other examples, are they also in bad taste? You didn't address those. This is teetering on bad faith.

@KayTwoAyy I think you express yourself very well and I agree with what you're putting forward. I wasn't able to convey it as well before.

  • They will do it before and after the update. Like it's always been. There might be an overreaction right now, like there's always been. But, in the end, the bottom feeders will be hurt the most so it's a net win. Enduring their panic is worth it. Smart campers will still thrive so it's whatever.

  • Yeah, last night, I've used your Mo- Oh, wait.

Jokes aside, yeah I actually love using it in some of my builds. I usually do get value, and I sometimes build around it. However if I'm being tunnelled or the killer just doesn't do much, it is dead weight. But, I enjoy it.

  • @Adjatha said:

Gosh, it's almost as if one side has 4x the volume of the other and making changes based on player complaints with no actual data to support things will always land balancing decisions on the side of "nerf the killers more to handhold the absolutely least skilled survivors."

Heaven forbid things actually present even the slightest challenge.

Pyramid Head is a solid A tier kill with strong anti-loop, zoning and an unrivalled ability to tunnel. This character presents more than the 'slightest challenge' and the buff wouldn't make strong Pyramid Head killers any more terrifying than they already are. If anything, this buff would just make it easier for more mediocre Pyramid Heads to score quick kills than to guaranteed torments.

I mained that killed for a year and a half (moved on to Nemesis and Spirit eventually), I think he needs updating but that wasn't it.

  • I agree with all the above, it could be the effect of his goblet instead. Smart to remove it from base kit. Hope he gets some new stuff though, poor triangle man is gathering dust! (he's a good killer, but could use an addon makeover at least!)

The thing you saying is not makes sense. We have +30 killers in game atm. And Knight is not popular killer. Just because you hate this unpopular killer, you won't uninstall the game. Because you love other stuffs.

And people know whenever they get killers they don't like or maps they don't like, they can easily give up. This is the same for any online game. You can give up in any online game and then you can go to next match for better exp. This is not bannable , so we can't do anything about it.

Maybe this Ada loves game but she just dislikes Knight. Just because she will get Knight for time to time, you are suggesting her to stop play? Not makes any sense.

Nonsense. That'd be reasonable. If you cannot tolerate my mains awful gameplay loop for the other side for the tenth time today, you should uninstall.

No point arguing when they've doubled down on this. This should have been a red flag to me from the start. That and just the sheer amount of assumptions made based of stretches. "Imagine wanting to play a game with other people and expecting them to play with you. You're so entitled!"

Where do I even start with this abysmal argument?

To start, you're policing what characters people should or shouldn't play. It doesn't matter how fun you find playing against them. They're in the game. They're playable. Deal with it. If you hate a killer so much that you would rather throw a fit and ruin the game for 4 other people, then you shouldn't be playing the game.

If you think that just because you paid for the game that you're entitled to always having fun then you are just proving my point further. It's a multiplayer game. You are expected to play with other people. If you cannot manage the incredibly simple task of not ruining the experiences of every other player in the game the moment something happens that you don't like, then you shouldn't be playing the game

People like you and the Ada, (Whose beliefs you are undoubtedly defending despite what you claim), are among the many people who will repeatedly gaslight other players into thinking that it's completely fine to give up at any time you aren't having fun.

Because when you play a multiplayer game with other people what could be more important than your fun?

If everyone who played DbD accepted the risk of not having fun the game wouldn't magically have all of its problems solved. But the more people think that their experience is more important than everyone else's, the worse the game will be everyone.

    Stop promoting selfish behaviour.

-I'm not policing anything. Nowhere did I tell anyone what to do. If anything I was making it clear NOBODY was policing anybody in this situation, which put to question why we're discussing entitlement to begin with. Already off to a good start with exaggerations and misconstruing what I said. And you're calling my argument abysmal? Like I even made a point to double down on the 'not telling you HOW or WHO to play' and you're still saying I'm policing things? This forum man. This should be enough to settle this, but I'll continue anyway.

-Yeah, no, just because I hate one aspect of a game with a hundred other aspects doesn't mean I should not play it. This is extremely unreasonable.

-People are, believe it or not, entitled to what they do with their time. That doesn't mean what they do is FINE. But to call it entitled in the negative sense, which is what I've been calling you out on because you're 100% misusing that term, is bonkers to me. If they want to be a ######### teammate, so be it, and I'm not actually condoning it but they are absolutely entitled to play how they want. They are NOT entitled to telling you what to do, and you are NOT entitled to having them play the way you want.

-I actually agree, it's unfun. I am NOT defending giving up and DC'ing, and I think the systems put in place help punish these. What I WILL argue against is saying people aren't entitled to do better things with their time. They are. It makes them terrible players and likely need a bigger ban, but they are NOT entitled for going next.

-Gaslighting? You're turning my argument into something it isn't. This is a strawman. Using the word 'gaslight' doesn't change that. And is also incorrect.

-My fun is more important. Doesn't mean I can't be conscious of others. It also doesn't make one entitled (in the negative sense) for wanting to go next. It makes them a whiny little b-. But the use of the term 'entitled' is not only wrong, in my opinion, but makes you appear entitled.

-Your choice of killer is yours, and I will never tell you what to play and how. I will say, however, that if your gameplay is notorious for making the other side have an abysmal time, it should be expected that unfun outcomes will sometimes befall you too. I mean it does on fun killers too, but it'll be more frequent on the former. I'm not saying it's right or good, what I am saying is it is somewhat entitled to expect everyone to just happily play along with your universally disliked gameplay. I'm discussing entitlement, not what's appropriate behaviour. I've always been in favour of bans for giving up, as it is in other games.

I said it in my last post and I'll say it again here: You're NOT entitled to people playing how you want. And it isn't entitled to go next. It's #########, however, yes.

  • Sounds like you're feeling entitled to fun gameplay with a killer that's notorious for being one of the least fun killers to play against.

Just because there are a few God awful characters in the game doesn't mean the rest is unfun and the whole game that I've paid for should be binned. If 95% of my games are fun and the remaining 5% I prefer to opt out of, that's not a reasonable motive to abandon the whole game.

OP, you are 100% overreacting. Yeah the Ada 100% threw a tantrum and I won't actually defend them. But they didn't tell you HOW to play or WHO to play, which would be actual unwarranted entitlement. All they did was say that want to opt out of one the universally hated bunch of killers. That said maybe they do this to all killers, but you're playing The Knight, a character that has a bad reputation for a very good reason, so one can safely assume they've probably have a crap experience.

That is the risk you're taking with this killer, and you are NOT entitled to people enjoying it or playing the way you want. If they want to go next, they'll go next.

  • I'm pretty sure even Skull Merchant mains agree that 99% of matches against her worthy of being added to the Geneva convention. It's unbearable, which is sad because I've seen a couple of mains player her in very interesting ways. But that requires WAY too much effort on a killer that really isn't all that good.

You're not entitled, you are airing what most people feel. It's fine and normal. People who say the contrary are delusional, spiteful toward survivors or trolling. I genuinely hope you're having some fun with killer at least. Here's hoping we rarely ever see this killer after the tome ends.

  • @sanees said:

What if we don't punish killers for playing?

What if, instead of constant nerfs and reductions in tactics, we start rewarding killers?

for example, do not punish the camp (which will absolutely be used by the survivors to attack)

    go from the opposite

for example, if the killer is not within a radius 16 meters of hook, then the survivor dies faster

and suddenly the killer gets more pressure from the hook and at the same time gets an incentive not to camp

Try to give a gingerbread instead of a whip

Yeah, no, I do not believe the carrot beats the stick in this situation. Camping is strong AND easy. The latter is extremely important. Your suggestion makes killers have to engage and express skill, which people who rely on camping sorely lack. Even if it's less powerful than spreading pressure, camping has its guarantees and requires no effort which is why it's so popular. Your proposal doesn't change that whatsoever.

No amount of incentive will stop people from cheesing games barring instantly winning or some obscenely strong boon that plays the game for them.
