It's not about skill gap... it's about maneuverability with the controller vs keyboard and mouse. There's a reason why nurse isn't played much on console.
I played console for a few months before switching to PC and I agree that a few killers would be extremely difficult to learn to play against PC survivors. However, I think that for the most part console killers would be able to adapt pretty well. PC Survivors don't move as amazing as people think lol. Even at red ranks.
-
I don't think the skill gap between platforms is very big in this game compared to other games. I wouldn't mind playing with console players, it would be fun.

What movie was Quentin in?
Quentin and this version of Freddy in Dbd were both in the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street
-
I don't really see stranger things as the next chapter but I will admit the upside down would be an awesome map
-
Decisive, deliverance, diversion, head on and a flashlight of course
-
I am so sick of these posts over and over and over again

What if they are killer mains?
-
Same reason you can smack people through windows

I hope they get permission to change him and give him cosmetics. I would like some clothes to spice my sleepy Boi up

Counterpoint: Maybe double BP should just replace the current normal amount
The only problem I have with people being able to finish blood webs faster is add ons/items being in the blood web too. If you get too many bloodpoints and finish blood webs faster yes you get more perks but all of the sudden everyone has a ridiculous amount of items too. Ebony moris, op add ons, flashlights, and insta heals would be pouring in all the time. I think that they should make it so that you can get more than one perk per bloodweb
-
They should just start having a double BP event like once a month, because you can get a ton of bloodpoints during those.

It sounds like you were a lot more optimized about your BP spending than I was (I definitely wasn't). But very few new players are going to figure out how to do that in the best way possible.
Yeah that's true I joined the game during a double BP event and leveled up my first survivor to 50 during it then after that I looked up the best way to spend bloodpoints, so I did not waste many bloodpoints at all. I don't think that the grind to get characters to level 40 to get their teachable perks is that hard. However getting one character to have all of the perks is an absolutely insane grind. When you get to level 50 it takes like 50,000-70,000 just to finish one blood web and get one perk. I play survivor mostly and got a p3 character at around 180 hours and the last 70 ish hours have been trying to get all the perks on that one character and I still have like 15-20 perks to max out
-
I have like 250 hours on this game and I almost have everything I am missing like 7 killer perks and 4 survivor perks
-
Quentin and billy
-
Every person thinks the other sides more toxic, if you made this thread the other way around survivors would think killers are way more toxic

Not to mention that balancing based on what nets more money is an appalling set of ethics to adopt and is artistically bankrupt.
Businesses don't care about ethics, although there are people who genuinely care about people and there experiences with video games, the whole reason we have video games is because of money. The only reason that video games are made to the best of their ability and changed to please people is because it is in your best interest to make people happy to make more money. Not because they want to make you feel good for the sake of being nice. If this game made billions of dollars to make it impossible for one side to win then they would do that

Geeze you killers. You will believe any lie you tell yourselves just to continue your narrative of victimhood.
Quit this nonsense that a game should only be balanced around the .001% at the very top. That's ridiculous. Especially in an asymmetric game.
I agree, if anything it should be the other way around, from a business perspective why would you cater to the minority? Realistically you should be thinking about the group that makes you the most money and balancing that to increase profits.
-
I like head on I just wish it could be used as more of an exhaustion perk. If the time you had to be in a locker was shorter so you could potentially use it in chase then I would like it more
-
Just be glad borrowed time doesn't work with deliverance too....
-
That one time I got a flashlight save while I was awake before Freddy rework. Blinding and invisible killer was pretty awesome
-
The only problem I have with SWF is the game play gets stale. When both sides are tryharding as much as they can its the same like 10 perks in every game. It makes the game too serious and you can't really have fun and try stuff out

@Marcus @Scal3r I get that, but Spine Chill can do the heavy lifting for the 99% of players who have not reached that level of game sense and/or are not high enough rank to consistently encounter stuff like moonphasing Spirit.
I watch streamers all the time who have a seemingly robotic predictive sense for where a survivor or a killer went, and I definitely haven't figured out how to replicate it. But boy, does Spine Chill ever help close the gap.
I agree I used spine chill for a very long time and I have friends who still use it and love it. It is a very useful crutch perk that can help people who do not have time to play this game as much significantly in surviving
-
@Rydog said:
"If you play long enough, you'll develop a sixth sense and know where the killer is at all times" is a dumb counterargument, because
1) Most people aren't going to play for 15 hours a day.
2) You won't ever know where the killer is at all times.
"It's so easy, just become legendary at the game and develop an uncanny knack for predicting killer activity at all times" is not useful advice.
Spine Chill is an amazing perk.
I'm not saying it's bad but I am saying that for some of us who have put many hours into the game and knows how it works then you can use other perks that have more value than information that can already be figured out by being aware of the game and how people play
-
Maybe they have shoes made out of memory foam, making them quiet and comfortable at the same time
-
Like 10 bucks because I needed ash and his puppet
-
Once you play long enough and know how people think and killers think it's not that useful. Even with stealth killers you can figure out where they are by paying attention to the game. Spirit beads are the only thing I would say spine chill is amazing for even for experienced survivors
-
I have heard stranger things but that seems a bit far fetched for me. Although the upside down as a map would be the coolest thing ever
-
I just can't wait to not have to invite my friends to my party again after every match
-
I want to say A on Xbox and X on ps4 by default while you are using the medkit? But I am not sure someone will have to confirm that
-
I hope it's another strong killer I am very happy with the Freddy rework making him viable and want to see some more variety at high ranks
-
Sloppy butcher is a perk that makes it so that whenever you hit a survivor it applies a status affect that makes it so they heal slower. And equipping an insta heal on a medkit makes it so that when it's activated you completely heal one or all health states depending on the add on you are using by using the medkit and pushing space to activate it and it will instantly heal you but will destroy the medkit in the process
-
They are already doing this with the bad ham rework. The totem spots are great on that map, you have to actively go out of your way to find them
-

Rev the chainsaw to fake, and use Barbecue and Chili, this perk was made for him :D
Yeah I want barbecue real bad but like I said this is my first killer I've leveled I need to level my leatherface to get it lol, I'll have it soon
-
You guys assume all swf groups are out to be toxic tryhards, when in reality they are mostly just people who want to play the game and have fun with friends. Games are always more enjoyable with friends why punish people for actually enjoying the game for once?
-
After getting hit twice with his bottles there was no bar around the exhaustion that indicated it going down. And even if I was walking it didn't go away until I was hooked
-
Pebbles are cool
-
I think this should spawn an 8th generator, otherwise it could be very easy to camp the last gens if there is one less but all in all I actually kind of like this idea. I like your idea of having a way to tell if it is the fake or not. I don't know if the scaling should be exactly that but I think that what you said might actually be pretty good. The idea of trapped stuff like that is cool
-
Just find the totem and save them. Run borrowed time if you have a problem with camping. It is not that hard you can play around those things just prepare for it. Break totems if you do not like Noed. You can play around it.
-
I mean the mechanic is kind of cool and I can see how it can make sense. All the weak people have already been killed of and the person who fought to the end has a chance, but it really should not be handed to you on a silver platter. I like how it is now. It is a race to see who can get to it first. If the killer finds it first then you are literally given a third chance to live with the gates. That is plenty and it should not be super easy, you have to outplay the other person to escape.
-
I still think you should get a bloodpoint reward at every rank reset based on your rank
-
How many survivors escape when they are the last one and the hatch has been closed?
-
#relatable
-
what do you expect to happen?
-
It is gonna be hilarious to see him peaking around corners
-
Legion is gay
-
The concept is interesting, a mix of pig and myers. He will be better at hiding and stalking, but yeah useless in a chase. Another stealthy killer until they get enough stalk to get the exposed
-
Alien doesnt really fit in dbd
-
I dont get why people get so mad at others having fun enjoying a game with their friends. Almost all SWF groups are just friends having fun playing a game together

Then let the killer in on the fun!
Why is KYF a separate queue and SWF not?
I think that a 2v8 game mode or something like that where I could play killer with my friends would be awesome. The only reason KYF and SWF are so different is because you are on completely opposite teams, it just does not work the same. I would love a way that you could play killer with people that would be awesome. However this does not exist so that is why we have SWF
-
I do feel like with more and more characters being added the amount of bloodpoints should be increased somehow so that new players can get all the characters leveled
