So it had a TR of 32 metres and speed like the spirit which is 110% did i get it right?
Why 32 TR and not 24?
Btw the power is lackluster
The power should compensate with the mobility
i love the idea of the terror radius and the scare effect of it. thats why i like killers with higher radiuses. his power can detect and hurt survivors and as the killer can manouver survivors to dens his high radius is appropriate i think.
and could you explain why you think this power would be "lackluster" in any point?
its a scare (which is a basic to a horror game) a detection and in the best case even a hit on a survivor if played right and all of this in a new mechanic.
i want to go back to a horror game and think this character could be a fun way for both sides, survivor and killer players.

Great job coming up with all of this! it sounds very thought out and organized and fairly balanced.
I was going to mention a critique I thought of while looking at the percent for bloodlust-gain speed paired with Gaias Wreath, but after looking back at how long it takes to get bloodlust, the bloodlust move speed bonuses, and how long an average chase is, I would say you did a very good job balancing your perks.
Lastly, I would say that, instead of no limit for BPs in a category from a perk, maybe it could just be a new set of offerings like this:
(Name Placeholder for Each Offering)
There is no limit to BPs gained in the (Category Placeholder) category. You earn (50-100%) bonus BPs in the (Same Category) category.
Thank you. I love to hear that you liked my idea. I would also appreciate a new set of offerings, as there havent been new offerings for ages (besides map ones).

best ######### idea ever and simultaniously the reason why buffy cannot be a survivor at all. She would even kill the Entity asap.
-
I like the idea overall but I have several notes for you, espacially for the killer.
-Last chance wasted would need to have a growing diameter based on its perk level, making it a perk which will never be used (even if it has full map range on tier 3, since the end game collapse makes it a bit redundant).
-phobia is literally the doctors passive ability, which seems kind of boring to me (and also an improved version of whispers, so it would have a diameter of about 10 meters max to fit in with whispers, rendering it useless.
-Hex: false hope is a freaking nice idea and i love it. I can imagine the generator exploding at 30/40/50 % of max "health" to be balanced or maybe some other values but it needs percentage values of its total "health" to have its perk levels.
Im not sure if the Killer's power would be very useful as you would still emit a terror radius while crouching and pretending and unless compared with perks which blind survivors, her fake hooked survivor would also be useless. It definetely does not justify her 110 movespeed. she would need 115 to catch up imo.
I love the idea of a killer being that hard connected with the entity. It is fun, seeing its powers grow and i think the mori would also look nice.
The survivor just seems like a useless mix of jake, dwight and some generic stuff. Would seriously not waste my shards for these perks.
To sum it up:
nice ideas in general but not very well thought in the end, at least when it comes to the killer.

Update:
I have tried to reproduce this and I didnt manage to make that voice happen again. You might be right and a buggy game just seems to be buggy.
Shame, it would have been cool if the devs put some easter eggs in this game besides the damn golden toolboxes and the obvious killers.

Ash Williams is to date the only Survivor who speaks when choosing him as the active Survivor. Some phrases are:
- "Aaaw, what now?!"
- "Mhmm, that's right, that's me, baby!"
- "Huh, what is this place?"
- "Groovy!"
- "Look who's shitting in the tall grass!"
- "Alright!"
- "Kiss my grits!"
@TheLastGreatStar said:
'What now?' is one of the things Ash says. Look up his dialogue on YouTube and you'll see that it's probably the exact same thing you heard. I know you don't own him, but it's just a weird bug that seems to be happening at the minute. It will have just been a coincidence that it happened to you when it did. I severely doubt it's an Easter Egg.
thanks, men. But can you still try out to reproduce this case in your game? Im excited to know if his phrases are used as the easter egg or if its just ... a disappointing bug ...
-
@TheLastGreatStar said:
Yeah, this was Ash speaking. It's a new bug as it keeps happening to me. I hear his dialogue on my home screen before I've even decided to play as survivor or killer and he'll sometimes speak when I head into SWF, even though I don't have him selected. It's just a bug.
Honestly, I dont think it was a bug when I switched the Legion torsos as its talking fitted so well in this situation.
I have to admit that I have never heard Ash talking, as i havent purchased him and havent played against him for a while (and I think i played against him once in total).
Im 100% sure this was an intended Easter Egg and im going to reproduce it today, would be nice if you would also try it out (if it can only happen once to every user). You might be right that this is Ash's voice, but still probably an intended Easter Egg if it is reproducable.

That was propably the Ash in your lobby.
There was nobody in my lobby at this very moment. I was waiting for players, thats why I have played around with the skins. Cant remember playing against an Ash at all for the last weeks :D
But why did you both think it was Ash? Can you enlighten me?

Death Mark could be too powerful in slugging builds imo. Default crawling speed is 0,7m/s (17,5% of the standard Survivor running speed), it would be reduced to 0,375% (8,75%), which is pretty big considering it also doesn't allow to recover to 95%. Rageful Help could be a nice perk to use, but 20 seconds is not that much time, provided it'd require a perk slot
First of all, thank you for the comment.
The speed reduction of Death Mark should be tested but I think 50% or sth around that could be a good start.
Rageful Help is especially useful when only 1 gen is left to repair, making it very hard for suvirvors to do that, if you just patroll the gens imo. So i think 20 seconds could be too long but should also be tested. Maybe you can adjust that value to the amount of generators left. So it would be longer blocked at the start and shorter in the end.

I strongly believe that it was also Vigo doing the experimentation on the killers this past Halloween event.Unfortunately that was Benedict Baker who was confirmed as the experimenter. He just found Vigo's notes.
Really? When and how was this confirmed?

Stop translating stuff. It is not meant to mean anything. There are reasons none of dbd characters speak in game and first one to do so doing it in long dead language.
These are made to translate it as a kind of easter egg, which needs a big community and a lot of effort to find hints like these, share it and spread even more lore and theories.
The devs made it on purpose otherwise they would have used a language which doesnt even exist.

That would probably be easy to exploit. Like people could sell you BP for money and I doubt that's something they want to encourage.you are totally right. But there could be a fix amount or a kind of cap or sth like that.

based on that all the game occurs during night and the game is literally called dead by daylight:yes.
im 100% sure that if there will ever be a video or sth similar to end the dbd lore, it will be a huge and beautiful sunrise, shining over the maps, ending the survivors suffering and maybe - yeah just maybe - destroying the entitiy
Or instead as the sun rises, the sky fills with a sickly red flame. A darkened disk where the sun used to be rises over head. Howls and wailing of the countless souls sacrificed to the darkness can be hear shrieking in the cosmos. In that moment, at the height of the survivors despair, the blackened claws of the entity wriggles out of the black hole over head, its unseen face exposed just for a second to rend the mind of the survivor and send them into the pits of madness. In that last moment it consumes all of this pocket of hell. For darkness, darkness is eternal.
honestly, i dont think this would be a good ending for the lore and story because of multiple points.
first, giving the entity a "face" would not fit to its lore. second, letting the survs suffer is in my opinion a bad move - they could have been free after the sun destroys the entity or sth similar -
i appreciate that you listed all that stuff up. if you make further parts, would you mind to link me in?

DIE GESHTALT ENTITY [“MY NAME IS LEGION, FOR WE ARE MANY” – MARK 5:9]
Edited for DBD lore: (My name is Legion, for we are only two people unless you cough up more cash then we are four!" -)
this is by far the best fitting comment ive seen so far
-
i also noticed the letters but i could not read it
totally interrested in any suggestions
-
for me, the end of the event lore tells, that the entity took the person as a new killer. that flesh wound in the arm and so on giving a peak at how the killer may look. Also the power of the person, being able to chain the trapper in the basement shows, that it is no usual survivor, the lore is talking about.
-
im totally with entita,
the hatch in most cases is a standoff where the survivor has the bad cards and equipping for the seldom case that you have that standoff with a killer, wasting your perks in most cases, doesnt make sense to me.
But i like that so many people have different experiences with that case and come up with good ideas
-
well, i only managed to escape once through the gate as last survivor, needing to repair gens. it is too hard imo and camping the hatch as killer is just easy af. You also see the aura of the gen completed, if a survivor does it and there are also only 2 gates ...
I think the killer is in a huge advantage and therefore my solution suggestion

To avoid a camping killer at the hatch and for some other reasons in the game I have the following idea.Additionally to the gestures, survivors should be able to jump (just jumping in the air and landing on the same spot).
This jump action (if you want it also can be a perk) increases the field of view in the way, that the camera "jumps" as well, so you can see over obstacles as the killer can see you jumping.
It should have the same animation as the jump you use for taking the hatch. Thus, the killer may think that you are taking the hatch, but instead you are just using a gesture as the survivor, making it possible to avoid a hatch camping killer. It would be very nice to hear your ideas and maybe a statement from the devs in the future

How can we avoid survivor camping of the hatch?
Make it so that survivors lose objective points when they hang around the hatch for a period of rime when the killer isn’t nearby. Make it the same effect they are gonna apply to the hooks to stop killer from camping hooks.
what? im not talking about a survivor camping the hatch and waiting to be the last survivor (which is also a - imo smaller - problem) but about a killer, finding the hatch before the last survivor does.
and ofc waiting for the survivor to come to the hatch, bc, tbh, a survivor cant make like 3 gens on his own and still open the gate. -
@Nos37 said:
I think the gen repair bonus from Left Behind should be part of the base Survivor kit, and the Left Behind perk should be reworked to do something else.Nice idea, but it would make the game more complicated as it is hard to track down the bonus you get imo.

If the killer is camping the hatch, just do a gen from which you have view of the killer. If for any reason if comes to the gen you will have plenty of time to reach the hatch before him (if you play smart, that is)not rly, if you do a gen he will get noticed and you still have to open the gate, so the killer has got many chances to catch you and cut you off as he knows exactly your position ... and as the killer is faster than the survs and doesnt need to hide he reaches the hatch at first in most cases in my experience

a survivor camping the hatch makes no sense, because they can escape through it ...
-
i was thinking of this idea because the hatch was made for survivors, having no chance without it to escape and based on what it is, an advantage for a game of 1 survivor against 1 killer, i think the survivor should have an advantage like that.
i also get, that you may want to have a solution for both sides, but imo it is much more frustrating for a survivor against a hatch camping killer than for a killer playing against 1 left survivor. -
because the hatch was made for survivors for the reason it is too damn hard for them to do the gens, when being solo. A last survivor who found the hatch deserves the escape in my opinion, in most cases.
Maybe, as a balance the killer could see the aura of the hatch when in the terror radius or sth, but i would not need that at the killer. -
I would also like to see different kinds of animals in the game, all able to be distracted or at least interactable in some way
-
as i stumbled upon your post, this is totally what im looking for.
should not be thaaat hard to create for the dev team. -
there will never be a child survivor as it is hard and inappropriate to introduce a child in a video game to be a victim.
you should not identify with the killer, thats why all of them have their faces covered in some way (besides the new spirit, which kind of shocked me). a child would also not be very smart to be the killer in this game, even if i understand your idea -
cool basic idea.
i think the hooked illusion would be op.
maybe this killer could ######### with different objects as one power. so changing totems looks, gens etc. but instead of waiting til it is finished (which would take a huge amount of time), the illusion would break as soon as the interaction starts, giving notification to the killer.
maybe also kicked gens look like they are not kicked etc.
so many options
-
i was also thinking about a pirate killer, but i would focus on the chests harder instead of his hook hand.
- perk: showing the auras of all chests on the map and signals when a survivor starts searching within x/y/z meters.
- perk: HEX: searching chests makes survivors injured for the first 1/2/3 chests searched.
- perk: OBSESSION perk: when chasing the obsession, your field of view gets x/y/z% narrower than usual but your movementspeed increases for the duration of the chase by x%
(you know, because you are obsessed with a survivor, focusing on it).
Power:
Using compass: pulling out a compass, which calibrates for x seconds and then showing in the direction of the closest survivor within x meter range (or showing the aura) for x seconds. The pirate cannot move withle calibrating.
(for example he uses his power, standin and calibrating for 3 seconds and then he can see where the next survivor in his terror radius is for 2-4 seconds.Mori sequence:
Ramming your hook hand in a survivor (which makes it summon the entity on the survivor ... because it is a hook), then realizing the entity would take your victim, drawing your sabre and cutting the throat.
(because moris are kills made by killers themselves, thus the killer would intrigue against the entity)tell me what you think of it. I would love to see a killer like this or any kinds or similar perks or powers.
