I wish they would give him an addon rework.
-
Its between Otz and Rowby. Otz uploads more so I'll go with him.

Oh i know lets make it so he can only hit people when they are asleep!
That would be too much. Since it would extend loops into 3 hits rather than 2. He'd just be a slightly better version of his old self.
-
I'd prefer he get reworked again, hes boring to face regardless of whether or not he has a cooldown.

You're also a profile that's existed for a while with multiple posts under your belt. This guy is new with 16 posts, with his only 3 discussions being about FNAF and all of his posts relating to FNAF.
So? When I was new I waited like a week or so before making my first SCP post. Just because his name is about FNAF doesn't mean he needs to start by making 3 discussions about it, 2 of which were in the same day.

Have you not read his name yet?
Yeah, I have. My name is in advocation for a licence as well, but you don't see me spamming the forums with SCP posts multiple times a day do you?
-
Agreed, our boy needs some TLC.
-
Mate, you can't tell me you saw everyone telling you they were sick of all these posts and thought making another was a good idea.
I wouldn't care, I think FNAF is a fine franchise and would likely enjoy its inclusion. But there is other stuff I'd like to see way more.
-
My prediction for this thread is that it will go something along the lines of this: "FNAF is a kids game with cringe" "No it isn't" "Yes it is" "No it isn't" "Yes it is" and so on and so forth until someone leaves.
-
Alright, your new here so I won't be rude. But we've had enough FNAF threads, everyone is done with them. A post like this won't cause a discussion, it will cause whining that will get us nowhere.
-
Haven't you considered that it might be deliberate and you might need to change something about your play style in order stop getting into those situations?
-
I think hes too strong. I wish they would just outright rework him again, not just because hes too strong, but also because hes so godamn boring.
-
Thank you, that was really getting on my nerves.

Wait whats wrong with "Built to last"? That perk is pretty damn good. And while Desperate measures isn't insane its not a bad perk like an alternative to botany knowledge, which is used a lot. Though I will say Visionary (besides on indoor maps) is a newbie perk on a DLC char, thats pretty dumb.
And while Hex: undying has high potential, the others are a lot easier to counter. Dragons grip either repair the gen and then evade/loop/hide from the killer for the remaining duration for exposed, or dont touch the gen for 30 seconds after you find out that the killer has it. After those 30 seconds it will go on an 80 seconds cd before it can be used again. Hex: Blood Favor, litterally just run away from that tile after getting hit. You shouldnt loop the same area after geting hit, you should use it to gain distance.
In a specific build they might be useful, but I don't see anyone getting any real use out of them otherwise.

Please explain? She doesn't take flashes, natural immune ?
Aiming a flash light at one of her traps will destroy it. This can lead to her getting hard countered.
-
Second Chance perks, Console VS PC, SWF, "WHY IS THIS GAME SO KILLER/SURVIVOR SIDED?", "Heres why Death Slinger/Freddy/Pyramid Head/Spirit has no counterplay", and most of all "Spring Trap would be an amazing addition and anyone who disagrees is an uneducated hater" and "Anyone who wants Spring Trap is dumb cringe kiddy". At least the FNAF posts have stopped.

The nurse was perfect, before the nerve... she was fun, even if personally I missed 90% of her teleports!
The spirit? I find it really slow, no counter loop I don't understand how people can ask for a nerve..🤔
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1580782#Comment_1580782
With Billy's perk (flashlight) and Franklin, this kind of team often ends up in the basement, they all rely on the flashlight, that's why I got into the habit of trapping the lamps on the ground.😀
I don't understand why they insist on saving their friend (perk Justice of Pig + 10 traps of the hook, even crouching they have to get up and start running... I one shoot both of them).
Flash lights counter her traps, not her herself, so light born doesn't do much. You can't rely on the basement unless running iron grip and agitation, which both require a perk slot.
-
She has great map traversal and control if played right.
-
I'm not sure, she can get hard countered with SWF and Flash Lights, which are very common. I think the best killer is either Spirit or Freddy cause they both have great chase potential, map traversal, and map control.
-
Sorry for bumping this up again yall, I edited it to bring it more in line with my other concepts.

IF Hex: Undying gets a bad placement and it's very visible, your whole build revolving around it, IT'S GONE.
For your build to work, you need this hex to have a VERY GOOD placement. Let's be honest here, most totem spots are ass and how likely is the chance this hex will get a good spot? As far as we know it can be in the middle of a field while haunted grounds is hidden away...
As I said, the hex doesn't effect itself, if it gets cleansed, it's gone, forever.
Thats true, I've had many a games where my devour hope was cleansed in the first minute.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Sure, it might be strong in some builds but let's not forget:
- Totem spawns are total ass, unless you're playing Lery's / Swamp / Hawkins
- It's a Hex perk to begin with, there's a chance it might be the first thing cleansed
- If it gets cleansed, your whole build goes to the garbage since you were planning to rely on it
- Hexes like Devour Hope that gather stacks, when destroyed it will RESET the amount of stacks they have when placed on a new dull totem
- It needs to come to LIVE first of all before we accuse it of being OP
Thats true, But
The changing hexes help offset bad placement.
I totally forgot stacks reset, they definitely aren't as good.
It not being live is why I started the post off with "This isn't a 100% call"

Now, I personally think that Pyramid Head is overall better than Huntress or anyone else in this list, especially when played right. But if we are concentrating only on the ranged attack - Huntress is definitely is the best one.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. It is based off who is better overall, not just the ranged attack.
-
Don't mind me, just keeping this at the top.
-
First, Welcome! You do have to equip the stuff. You can use a mic for Survive With Friends, And Kill Your Friends. I believe its impossible to get voice chat with Solo Queue. Also, there is a subsection on the forums for questions, so if you intend on staying keep that in mind.
-
Remove perk tiers, they're pointless and complicated, and actually somewhat limiting considering how every perk needs 3 tiers. Increase the cap to 2 million. Make blood point gains around 1.5x more. Perhaps give the ability to consume old items for more blood points. I think that would do wonders for the grind, without taking any massive changes or overhauls.
-
So like making the ptb into a separate mode? I'd be down.

Taking me the first hollowed blight event into account and the journal entries from that it's pretty clear that they are different people honestly I'm kind of confused as to where people got the idea that Vigo was The Alchemist/Blight .
20 October - Vigo
I discovered a hidden laboratory while running away from a monster. Its stocks are uncommonly plentiful. I observed shelves of alkaloids, crates of silver syringes, piles of protective clothes and a journal signed “Vigo”. Its pages are filled with notes on an ancient force that controls the nature of this place—that shapes it. I also noted a few drawings of the growing cankers I've seen on trees.
This basically describes how the blight got a hand on the journal in the first place.
30 October - Vigo II
I looked for Vigo. I shouted his name with no concern for the monsters lurking about. I need to find him… I picture the scene, etching a canvas of wild lines in my mind, focusing on the moon and I know—something is off. I fed the dead rodent under my pillow.
this is kind of the nail in the coffin considering we know that Mr Grimes who becomes the Bright is the narrator for these entries it would be pretty weird if Vigo was writing about how he went to look for Vigo.
Honestly this kind of strikes me as a similar situation as to people thinking the Legion killed Jeff's Dad from a mild lore glance it's a possibility but the second you look into it there are too many contradictions for it to be a realistic possibility
Thank you!

@Uistreel said:
This might be close to being fast.
The blight runs at 230% speed default.
Addons:
Compound 33 - Adds 0.06 bonus speed per chain rush. 4th chain rush will have added a total of 55.2% extra speed or 285.2% total speed during final rush.
Compound 21 - Adds 0.04 bonus speed per chain rush. 4th chain rush will have added a total of 36.8% extra speed for 266.8% total speed during final rush.
I'm pretty sure they stack because it doesn't specifically say they don't, so I think that would be a total speed of 322% speed during final rush token if both addons are equipped.
Perks:
PWYF: With 3 stacks that's an extra 15%. So 337%
NOED: 4% bonus speed. 341%
Devour hope: 5% haste after hooking survivor. 346% (I think that's what haste does?)
Bloodlust 3 is 15% extra speed (I think), so 361%
So I think under these conditions, blight is one of the fastest at 361% running speed. Nurse probably moves faster with extended range addons, but I can't find anything about how much faster that is. Someone mentioned above that a survivor could move faster, which might also be true.
I probably messed up something here. The addons % seem weird and wrong, but that's what the wiki says.
Doesn't haste apply to survivors and not killers? Either way I'm almost positive it doesn't give move speed.
Edit: Nevermind, it applies to both and does give move speed, I'm stupid.
-
I think theres a lot the game could do better, but it is in the best spot its ever been. You see all this stuff on the forums because thats the point of the forums, to discuss stuff and give feedback.

I think what OP's getting at is they will simply cancel and M1 you.
@Bill_I_Am__Overbeck said:

If you don't drop it, then they'll just M1 you instead since the cooldown to take your knife out of the ground is very low. Same thing with windows - if you vault, then you'll get hit mid-animation from the wave. If you don't, then you get the M1 treatment.
Canceling does take like half a second or something, so you can react and drop/vault. It normally works for me, if ping doesn't suck that is. Anyone with even remotely bad ping can deny that.

@pwncxkes said:

Yes it is very OP because you should always make sound when you are hurt, it has too much viability. /s
That makes it good, not second chance.
-
Not really, if they do that don't drop it or vault and wait for the wave. Dodge the wave and then drop or vault. This only works if your ping is good though.

I'm guessing that "brushing over it" means "ignored"? In that case, if they wanted to implement a mechanic to avoid all the hook perks they only had to add that to every killer. I really don't see the reason why ph should have this power to ignore everything that can come with hooks
I don't see the reason either tbh. It just makes some killer and survivor perks worse against him. The devs could have avoided this entirely had they activated hook perks on cages.

I made a post about mine like 3 weeks ago. So I'll copypaste from it.

Nothing "free" about it. DH has to be used right or it does not work. As a killer, I sit and wait for DH and catch them as they come out of it. This entitled crybaby mindset of "free second-chance" crap is for the birds. DS requires a skill check, DH requires the correct timing, Unbreakable is only useable IF the killer slugs, NOED requires a totem still be there when the last gen is done, BW requires the killer to time the hook right or it is pointless, etc, etc. We all have second chance perks and abilities. Those that use them well vs others who don't compensate for them does not create a problem for the game, it points out a lack of strategic thinking on the other's part. In other words, if you got burned by DH or NOED, you likely made the mistake of not planning for it.
This isn't directly related to the post, but what is BW? My brain is currently shut off.

"guessing where the cage is" Dude, it's literally on ur opposite position, it's easier then you think. Everyone who says "just gen rush him" literally makes me laughs so hard. You understand that NOT ALL know how to or where are gens? even red ranks are very clueless on the most specific places where gens or totems spawn. Also "gen rush him" is not a freaking thing, it's a cancer way to say "this character is op, but if you just end the game quickly he will have nothing to do against it" like #########? for every killer you just gen rush and that's it? And where is the fun then :\
Yes, Halfway across the map can be multiple places, I've seen it happen. And gen Rushing is the way to say ending the game quickly, thats what it means. And any survivor paying attention will either know where at least 1 gen is or where 1 gen is likely to be. I've faced many campers in my years playing the game, and I am almost always able to rush those scumbags into a 1 or 2k. You also seem to have completely brushed over the cages vs hook comparison, why is that?

Farming means the killer gets a free hook state on a survivor.
Where did you get that definition from? Did one of the devs or mods say that?

You really don't know what farming means. I'm tired rn. I'll explain tomorrow. Good night.
Its been a day. In the meantime I posted a question asking what people though, all said it wasn't a form of momentum. So, please explain to me how it is.
-
No, just no man. Either it will be useless since you won't face the killer, or you'll hard counter the killer and screw the game. Combine that with the fact this will takes tons of effort to pull off, and you should see why this isn't great.
-
I'm not sure about it. On one hand, SWF would be more balanced as Solo Q is slightly more like it. But I don't wanna get yelled at by a 13 year old who screwed up every skill check.
-
Real talk, PH kinda thicc.

Death Slinger or Freddy. I hate having to value cover over mind games against DS. And fighting Freddy is just a more boring m1 killer.

It does waste time only if you are dumb and you can't down someone who just got unhooked without ds and borrowed, but if you achieve to down him you did a lot. The cage teleports away after 5 seconds he stayed near it but with near it means literally on top of it and also he will just wait for you to free him from the cage, clearly not gonna stay near it . Dunno why you name bubba since he is just another kiddo camper char and nothing else
Spending time guessing where the cage is without pressuring anything is a waste of time. If you notice someone camping don't go for the unhook, start gen rushing. Thats what I do when I face a PH who tries to camp, they might secure a kill but they've lost 4 gens in the process. The cages guarantee face camping is off the table. I mentioned Bubba because he is actually good at camping.
Also, heres the benefits of camping with a cage as opposed to hooking.
Hooking: You don't need to guess where the hook is. You don't need to book it halfway across the map. You don't need to play a specific character. You can Face camp.
Caging: You don't need to worry about DS and BT.
See the difference?

Pretty much lines up with anyone who has played more than a dozen Ghostface games. His Chewed Pen and Address Book are too powerful for how his power works and being stuck with such a long cooldown that it literally makes all his other addons worthless. I do want to see his basekit just have an address book incorporated by default (base cooldown down to 24s instead of 30s) then just remove the ability to stack these addons so the game is the same with a Chewed Pen but it gives him the option to run something else
That would be great! As a Ghost Face main I get real sick of running the same 2 addons. All they would need to do then is buff "Ghost Face Caught On Tape, cause the fact we can all agree a brown is better than one of his Iris is dreadful.
