The lack of controller settings for controller on consoles and the overall neglect of console gamer player base experience and QOL in general.

It's like if it's not effecting PC players or if console players aren't screaming to high hell about something they don't care about it. The only thing they've done for controller players is increase the sensitivity to be on par with PC, but the controls have a MASSIVE deadzone that requires way to much pressure to be put on the analog stick in order for it to register movement.

This cause you to overshoot or undershoot a lot since you have to play with sensitivity up in order to counter WASD circle jukes and spin moves. If you play at a lower sensitivity you can't counter this at all and once survivors see this they run circles around you if your playing a killer that requires precision like Twins, Trickster, huntress, Blight etc.

Some console players can overcome this to a degree but the overall console killer playerbase seems to avoid these killers or perform very poorly with them and eventually drop them out of frustration.

All BHVR needs to do is add acceleration, deadzone and response curve options like every other cross play game does and this would help greatly as I think it's poor customer service to have a good chuck of your killer roster virtually unplayable by over half of your community just because they are playing a killer designed for M&K of controller.

I cannot express how annoying it is as a killer on console trying to hit melee range hatchets on huntress against pc players. Especially when they can use their immediate WASD to almost side step me. Damn frustrating.

Slug and camp make one of those survs lives as miserable as mine.

Learn when the prime time swf hour is and go go gadget Starsruck.

Starstruck in this type of scenario is always hilarious. Especially on slinger, where he just kind of pokes them with his gun and they go down.

If I suspect a swf, I usually run Starstruck as an optional perk so I am able to hook in peace.

Hello Fellow players in the fog. I was bored, so I decided to write down all the builds I want to run after this next Midchapter. As a person who plays both sides, but especially enjoys playing survivor (soloq), I was super excited with them shaking up the Meta.

Now that I don't have to run BT in all my builds, I feel more free to be able to try out the fun combos I couldn't do before. There's a lot of them I want to try, hence why I am excited for this patch and hope that other survivors will also run more fun builds.

It's a pretty extensive list, but I think the builds that I will run the most will be the End Game Build and the Everyone Healing Build. I love going for end game unhooks and getting autodidact value.

  • Eerie of crows, 4 times in a row, playing as low mobility killers. Painful doesn't even begin to describe it.

    yes it should

at least for survivor considering they have way more

killer should not be overwhelmingly strong but shouldnt have downside

You are remembering that it's a 4 v1 game yes? Killer perks should be powerful to enable them to counter the 16 perks that survivors bring

  • @Alcuin said:

It'd make it too easy to get value from Pentimento.

Any killer using pentimento would be using something that creates hexes to be cleansed, like play thing. Being able to snuff totems as base kit wouldn't buff pentimento because if a survivor has made a boon, then they know where the pentimento hex will be.

  • I agree that the blood points cap should be changed to give more blood points, but until someone in BHVR explains why they are so adamant on making the grind so long with caps at the end of matches and the BP holding cap (thankfully its being raised to 2 million), this question will be discussed over and over again with no answers. Speculation alone won't solve this issue.

  • Isn't kobeing like a 4% chance? I can't believe this happens that much.

  • I've had many matches like this. Where the team seem competent and actually want to play, only to kill two of them and then it's Hide and Seek: DBD edition.

I can't stand having to search the entire map while two people hide, waiting for the other to die.

    @Wampirita said:

i remember once dying first and then spectating the most hilarious immerse wars ever.

Rest of the survivors were hiding like in proximity of each other, one in bushes, one in locker, one behind rocks, not more than 5-6m from each other. They were just walking in circles, entering/leaving lockers to not get crows.

I was so curious to see who would die first, but it took the killer over 20 min to find one of them. Once the 2nd one died, the last 2 continued to be immersed for another eternity, but the locker dude forgot to do his anti-crow activity and got crows and got found. After closing hatch, last dude tried to bribe the killer, after they looked for them for like an hour total xDD I would be pissed if the killer let him go

There's something quite pathetic about someone who hides and waits for the other to die to then try and bribe me to get out. Why would I let you escape when you forced me to walk the length of the map over and over to find you, while expecting someone else to die so you can get out? It boggles the mind.

I really do wish the afk crows worked better. Going in and out of lockers shouldn't reset the afk timer. Cleanse totems, grab chests, whatever gives me some chance of interaction. Not just go in and out of lockers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not high MMR player. I'm probably above average at best so who knows what kind of matches I get, but it does get old real quick.

Upload video of your gameplay and I'm sure a bunch of people will give you advice how to improve.

I'd like to think that would generate some positive things for OP to use, but after seeing someone post a wraith match showing people body blocking and such, all he got was criticism with no feedback. So hopefully if OP does post it, he gets some constructive criticism and not just negativity.

Tunneling and camping is not reasonable. People do it cause its possible, the easiest "play", and gives a guarantee to kills. And it annoys players. Its not an issue of any other game designs. Thise players dont care what killer or what map. That's why it's a flaw and needs to be fixed first. Unless the basic game mechanics are flawed like this, changing anything else is just bad development. You see that with this patch. It just gets way worse for everyone caused by the chain reaction those flaws create.

Regardless of your personal opinion on camping, when other game balances make killers who wouldn't normally camp start camping, it legitimises those who use it to win without thought.

Yes, there will always be people who camp for ab easy kill or two. But how do you fix that? You can't stop them from doing it. Base kit kindred won't stop them, pausing the hook timer will be absurd by clever players. No matter how you look at it, it will happen.

What I'm m trying to say is that by ensuring that a killer doesn't feel they have to camp, it will lessen it. It will never go away and someone who is determined will do it regardless. Being facecamping my insidious bubba is obviously a death. Being camped by ghost face in my example is due to map issues. But when you're on the hook, it feels the same. It's not the same root cause. One is because they can, the other is because they feel they have to. Camping does not exist in vacuum. It is caused by those who don't care, of those who are losing and want to give some pressure to a losing game.

  • @Tiufal said:

Who cares for maps as long as something like camping and tunnel is an issue? Gameflaws need to be adressed first, everything else comes afterwards.

Do you not grasp that on certain maps where a low/no mobility killer is losing on a massive map might turn to camping to put pressure on survivors? Map balance will alway be an issue when it comes to camping or even tunneling.

A ghost face on the snow map (forgot the name) isnt going to be that effective trying to hide behind snow banks for stealth. So they may turn to camping or just proxy camping when they finally get a hook.

And anyone who has played RPD for more than 5 minutes knows that if you leave a hook on RPD, you might never see that survivor ever again.

    Map balance affect game behaviour.

  • Jeff and Ash definitely need an audio rework. Jeff is loud even when uninjured.

any time I make posts like this from now on Im gonna just comment my response because they have proven they dont actually read the post :(

    Good idea

  • At a guess, it's probably because you asked the question and then put your idea into it with perks, a killer and survivor. Reads like a killer/survivor suggestion page.

  • To further other comments, why would you need compensation? You got to keep the dlc stuff you bought if you bought it before. You don't get compensation for nothing.

If it was taken from you then sure. But it hasn't. And I agree with the above, I like Hawkins map, but I, personally, didn't lose anything when it was taken from the map list.

  • Killer Perk

    Fear

While in the killers terror radius for 15/12/10 seconds, survivors gain one stack of fear. The next stack of fear generates after 15/12/10 seconds and the final stack of fear generates after another 10/7/5 seconds.

Survivors with one stack of fear suffer from minor debuff to mending, healing, generator repair and item usage of 1/2/3%.

Survivors with two stacks of fear have their debuffs become stronger at 4/5/6%.

Survivors with 3 stacks of fear scream, revealing their location and become inhibited for 2 seconds. Debuffs then revert back to one stack of fear.

Could probably use some tweaking. I'm just tired of killers not being scary in the game. There should be ramifications for being near the killer.

  • @TheSubstitute said:

Die hundreds of times in a vain attempt to actually get it. At least that's been my experience with 'Hatch An Escape'. The worst part is that, if the exit gates are open, the other survivors won't just frickkin leave so you can at least try during EGC.

After a few dozen rounds of that I started hoping BHVR would give moris to survivors so I could turn the game into Grand Theft Auto if the other survivors won't just go out the exit gate.

    I despise that challenge.

I would 100% support survivor on survivor moris. Watching a survivor beat another survivor to death at the exit gate would make every game great for me as killer.

  • I mean, basement Trapper is the answer.

But I can understand how frustrating it is not to get it, it took me more than a few games to get it done.

I don't play Deathslinger so I'd have no idea how to fix that. In the spirit of discussion, however, I'd like to know specifically what about it makes it feel clunky.

If you don't play slinger, how can anyone describe the clunky feeling? You won't have a point of reference.

Sorry to break it to you but Clown is at least B tier now,I dont think you understand just how opresive Clown can be,especially with the new update with faster breaks and hits.

Trapper is absolutely better than Sadako, his power is reliable and he can snowball like crazy.

On Onryo, you can use the best build for her, best addons, and she's nowhere near close to these 2 killers especially if they use their best perks and addons.

This is a joke right? Clown is nowhere near B tier because regardless of any changes, he has no game pressure. Sure, his slowdowns are great for getting hits. But that's it.

Trappers snowball potential is excellent, always has been. Still a weak killer unless the stars align. Just because he can do amazing in some moments doesn't make up for the not amazing machete man moments where you're an m1 killer with no power because survivors are on to you.

Onryo is underpowered, yet has one thing that the two killers you're comparing her against: mobility.

Yeah, clown has yellow bottles, but it isn't a teleport. Trapper is great for locking down one area, but then that leaves a lot of the map untouched.

I don't think survivors should be able to turn off the tvs, but I personally wouldn't know how to balance it. Onryo is just another m1 killer with no antiloop. Which some people love and some people hate.

    1. Pig

Bubbas don’t bring any scourge hook perks anyway. The perks they bring are bamboozle, noed, iron grasp, agitation, insidious, deadlock, Franklins, barbecue and knockout

I get that. I was just concerned about monstrous shrine buffing facecamping but thankfully I was wrong.

  • @deKlaw_04 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3052254#Comment_3052254

Yes it’s getting a buff next patch and that makes me so excited. The only true counter he has was deliverance and ds in the endgame but now that’s gone. I just really find him unfun to play against because of the camping. I have a couple of videos vs bubba. One specifically where he is doing the basement bubba tactic. Horrible

Unfortunately, I was wrong about the monstrous shrine change. It doesn't work if the killer is within 24 meters. So facecamp bubba won't be using it. So at least that's not an issue

  • I stand corrected.

Guess basement Trapper will still be fun then. That's a bonus

  • @Norhc said:

You don't know what facecamping is if you believe Monstrous Shrine will synergize with it.

You have looked into the new version of monstrous shrine coming right?

  • The face camping bubbas really do ruin the game for the rest of us.

Every now and again, I'll stick insidious on bubba and do little jump scares on survivors if I can get a decent indoor map. Now, everytime I run, everyone assumes I'm going to facecamp the hook. I hate facecamping bubba with a passion after my second ever survivor game was just that.

And while on the subject, has anyone realised yet that facecamp bubba is getting a massive buff in the next patch? What's the counter to facecamp? Do gens. But gens are being made longer. And with the new change to monstrous shrine (which every facecamp bubba will use now) killing people faster, the facecamper will get to kill their victim faster and find another in a quicker time.

  • The problem I find with Trickster is the same issue BHVR has with Trapper: if you buff him, those scenarios that play to his strengths are powerful.

Everyone's gone against the Trickster who comes back to hook as a save is happening and peppering both survivors. Because as Trickster, you are forced to do it for pressure.

Same as basement Trapper. Having everywhere in shack Trapped is almost impossible to get to the survivor who's hooked.

My problem with Trickster is there is no reason to play him over any other ranged character. Huntress requires 1 hit to injure and has janky hit boxes that can go through things you wouldn't expect it to. Slinger can also get shots through holes in things and have them hooked on, and even if you fail to reel them in, you still get a health state and deep wound. Trickster doesn't nothing special. Even main event is just... Throwing more knives.

Tricksters knives should bounce. At least then he has an actual difference in his ability that would make him actually different.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/333365/sadako-buffs

I find the Dredge to be weak too. These two chapters really highlight something that isn't new at all but keeps happening every single chapter release. They try to focus on making a Killer's kit revolve around anti-loop however they play it extremely safe out of fear of being too oppressive when in reality they pose 0 threat to coordinated teams that understand counter-play already

They need to stop being scared to make Nurse/Blight level Killers because all they're doing is adding characters to the bottom and middle of the pack instead of the top to promote diversity. There's a reason people aren't playing Sadoko or Dredge en masse

This. If BHVR balanced all killers around the top killers, they could change survivor things to combat them.

Hell, if BHVR actually thought about giving all killers some form of mobility, the game would be in an entirely different situation.

  • I came back for the masks. And it felt like a chore to get them all.

I just can't believe BHVR haven't implemented the MMR a slow MMR reduction over time. There's nothing worse than going away from a game for a break, only to return to the sweat fest that is MMR.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been finding killer unfun at the moment.

Maybe if I played Blight, Spirit and Nurse, I'd understand survivors burning through my games to get out.

But when I finally down someone as Clown as the second gen pops, and then I get bodyblocking and all the 'fun' stuff, it gets old.

Here's hoping the 'meta shake-up' changes how M1 killers feel. Even if only a bit.

  • @amazing_grace said:

I believe they mentioned adding in MMR decay over long periods of time but never actually implemented it yet.

Well, that would do it. I forget that for every piece of information from BHVR, you have to check whether it ever actually got implemented or not.

  • As long as they are competent, I can't see why bots would be a bad thing for custom games to test perks, killers and so on.

Anyone who's played overwatch against AI will know that they are good to try new things or use someone you don't in a way to test things.

Can't see them in the base game though. I know a lot of people like the idea of bots taking over d/c'd allies, but I can't see that working.
