  • It's 100% grabs based on the description. I've hit like 20-30 times since it released and only grabbed 1 person vaulting and I have 1 charge of the achievement.

If I'm the last one alive and the other 3 are dead, Myers is outside my locker in tier 3.

If I leave the locker I'm dead 100%.

If I stay in the locker and the killer does nothing, I'm still dead, but the killer won't have any chance at their achievement either. We both don't get what we want

If I stay in the locker and the killer pulls me out, then we both have a chance: I can try to wiggle free and get hatch, and he can hope that I wiggle free in a dead zone so he can get the finisher.

The only scenario here where both player have a chance to get what they want is for the killer to pull. That's the scenario the killer has full control over. The only scenario the survivor has control over is throwing the game and giving up.

If you read my direct example the person just ran back into the same locker over and over. There is no chance for hatch as it's not at that part of the map so they're staying just to stay.

Also, claiming in your response to me that you care about 7k bloodpoints that much in youre response to me (I went to college for math by the way), in 30 minutes you could have played 2 more matches (more if you get tunneled out) and could have won up to 60k+ in those games. So you're actually getting CONSIDERABLY less by staying in the match. If you stay because you care about your w/l ratio or MMR that much so be it but I still feel this is incredibly petty especially if you have no option but that locker to run to over and over as you continue to get pulled out.

if you know the survivor is just going to hide in lockers to avoid being mori'd. Just hook them and move on.

Otherwise there would be an expectation that the killer let's the last survivor do the remaining gens, open the exit gate, and escape because that's another unnecessarily difficult achievement.

That's like comparing apples to oranges as you can never really know when a survivor is doing this achievement (without their name saying so or a last gen popping after last sacrifice is completed) whereas you know as you hide in the locker what the Myers is doing if they're not just hooking you and waiting an ungodly amount of time. I get the argument, though as that achievement also really sucks.

This question was about people denying achievements to extremes and knowing they are doing it and not a regular everyday match as well. Like I said above people are entitled to do whatever they want, just within the rules of the game.

Then answer my original question: what's stopping people from acting like they need the achievement?

Why shouldn't I burn every rpd offering I have, and name my account 'breakout please'? Should I be angry if the killer doesn't allow that?

Anyone can pretend I get your argument. But why waste 30 minutes when the match is over? If someone is waiting this long rather than hooking you, there's no real reason for them to wait unless they were farming the Evil Incarnate achievement (other than to troll and make you waste your time thinking you were denying them). I 100% get people playing lockers when the match isn't already over.

My name literally said what I wanted so it was quite obvious what I was doing for RPD. Also my profile was public so they could just go to my profile to see I didn't have the achievement.

They can do what they want as long as its within the rules of the game but people doing things that are beyond the scopes of winning and losing (other than the tunneling example) to deny achievements is what this question was about.

I'm not going to volunteer to sacrifice myself, even in a 3v1. If you can pull me from a locker and manage to get me then good for you. But I'm not going to jump on your knife.

No one expects this for any other achievement in the game. Are you letting people escape on rpd so they can get outbreak breakout? If the gens are done, they've already won. Apparently that's the condition and requirement in your opinion.

But it's not a 3v1 situation is what I and they are trying to say. All other 3 survivors have been mori'ed. The only player left was found and ran into a locker. Eventually they afk'ed long enough (5-10 minutes) in the locker they get pulled them out and taken to a remote location walking past many hooks as far from a locker as possible. They get picked up and dropped until they stun and all of a sudden like magic they're not afk and they run back into another locker. I don't see how this is about "survival" at this point if you're going to spend 30 minutes wasting time rather than go next in a match that is lost.

This also requires a Myers to farm these addons which is why most will be persistent in waiting. It takes around 400k-600k bloodpoints to get both addons on average unless you're a high prestige. The survivor loses nothing by dying at this point to a Mori vs a hook.

Also for your question about outbreak breakout, I did indeed get free escapes by killers who even mentioned in endgame chat how bad that achievement is. I have also let survivors go quite often myself. Some people play for fun, some play to win, some play for achievements, some play to troll and enrage people, that's why I asked to see how the community felt about these situations.

He is boring and weak version of Ghostface (that is more fun and has better stealth and doesn't run out of juice). Without Tombstone add-ons there are no rly reasons to play him.

I kind of feel the opposite. I want to enjoy Ghostface more but if you just run Monitor and Abuse on Myers (and rabbit on top if you really want) you have a permanent 8 meter (6 with rabbit) terror radius unless you go into T3. That is a shorter distance than the diameter of Shack so basically you permanently have Ghostface's stealth on but can pop into T3 when you want.

  • @VantablackPharaoh91 said:

I absolutely refuse to run any of the tombstone addons on Myers, he's more fun with a low TR build and that is how I run him. He also is not my Main, I just find him fun when I run him this way.

This is the exact build I'm running. Jump scare Myers is fun.

  • I'd have to agree with the person above me that I win almost every time and probably 50% are stomps as killer. When I play as survivor it's 5 gens left 30-40% of the time. All gens completed in only 5 games.

  • I personally like these ideas. I, too get sick of people doing this. I was a survivor in one match and had 2 teammates that kept running out of bounts on Red Garden. They took the match hostage until it closed itself.

  • People keep saying these pallets aren't loopable but a decent amount of them are. They're not loopable after dropped but definitely loopable before then. That's the real issue.

  • She can get looped so hard by people who know how to counter her since she is slower than the other killers. In low MMR she stomps though.

  • I ffeel everyone thinks the 2 killer combination will be OP but what will actually happen is 8 brand new parts world record.

  • Honestly, I'm getting this DAILY now. Multiple times a day. Please fix this as it keeps costing me matches.

So how are killers having issues. Every game of this event has been tunneling killers winning 4k with at most 1 gen pop.

Playing both sides during the event both sides are sweating it to no ends. When I play killer I get almost exclusively premades that run 4 iridescent addons and split on 4 gens. I've had a match where I had lethal downed one from a mistake play maybe 20-25 seconds in. Before I got to the next survivor on a gen all 3 gens popped. 1 hook for 3 gens feels real bad. The other teams are bully teams that run 4 flashbangs. But I also get tunneled every survivor match it feels so both sides suck (honestly it's the matchmaking)

  • @SchmittyKat said:

    do gens LOL

Just did this on a win and got 92k BP completing 3 gens but the gens say they give 3000 each. I'm so confused with the math going on here.

Edit: Did another one where I did more gens and didn't escape. Did 1 less rescue and got 1 less totem and got 16k BP.

Edit 2: Did another where I did 2 gens, got 4 of the totems and 1 chest and didn't escape and got 26k BP. Seems massively inconsistent.

  • Pretty much the Killer gets 2 powers that can be used normally:

    1. Teleport the person on their shoulder to a nearby hook immediately

    2. Break a pallet without actually kicking it (takes the same amount of time but they can still chase around the loop)

Survivors get 2 powers that are common:

    1. If you see a blue outline you can create a new pallet (it breaks when dropped but can still stun the killer)
    2. Become completely silent and not make any sound or leave scratch marks (called silent mode)

To be able to use any of the powers you have to pick up an invitation first (unless the event gives you one for free). You gain the powers over time with a cooldown on both sides. The different events are:

    1. Nothing (called Zilch). Just the basic game no new powers.
    2. The eye icon (both sides can randomly see each other sort of like the object of obession perk)
    3. The shoe icon (everyone is super fast)
    4. The heal/skull icon (everyone is exposed but gets healed after the exposed timer ends if injured)
    5. The chest icon (survivors can open blue chests for extra bp)
    6. The totem icon (killer and survivors can go to blue totems for 3500 bp)
    7. Map with up arrow (everyone gets a free invitation)
    8. Map with down arrow (everyone loses their invitations)

It progresses to a new even after 2 major events happen (gens are completed or survivors are hooked. Each one gives 1 progression).

    Hope this helps.

  • Every survivor game I've done has been sweaty Billies that camp and tunnel other than 1 which was an Oni that was slugging.

Every killer match I have had has been against a premade. Every single player using iridescent addons (usually Brand New Parts or Syringe) with 3 gens done at the end of the 1st chase. I actually had a first chase end in ~25 seconds of the start of the match and all 3 gens popped before I started a 2nd chase. Tunneled the person out to get at least 1 kill and got called a toxic overweight fat boy who lives in his mother's basement and other insults. People are so nice in this game.

  • Just got it again today just now. Ugh.

If you want to know a useful tip for dealing with Head On squads(since many of them don't actually do it in that way specifically) you can play as Lightborn Dredge and you become the ultimate anti-bully killer. You can't be hit by Head On easily since you can just TP into a locker that a survivor is in to rip them out and no one can bully you with flashlights nor Flashbangs due to Lightborn.

It's really the main reason I enjoy playing Dredge since those kinds of squads physically can't do any funny business against me.

This still doesn't work because when you come out of the locker, the other locker opens with a Head On as you come out with the survivor and stuns you anyway. Having to end every chase because they're running to a place with 2 lockers is the issue I have with this. I know it is a meme like others say but the level of coordination I saw in this match was unreal. Had a nice convo with the enemy team in the endgame chat and they agreed that they felt it was pretty uncounterable as long as they didn't get a map with almost 0 double lockers which they would control with a map offering. EDIT: They would even run into basement to do this strategy as well because it has guaranteed lockers to abuse.

  • @C3Tooth said:

If Dwight and Meg get into lockers, you picked Dwight and Meg stuns you. Then they get into locker again.

Though I think you should pick Dwight again since Meg cant stun you anymore.

It's more like I find Meg and Dwight on a gen by 2 lockers. They loopty loop and when one is finally about to get caught both get into a locker. While this is happening another player from the other duo runs over. I get stunned grabbing let's say the Dwight like you said. Meg stuns me. The new player takes a hit if both are already injured and the Meg runs to the other person. They loopty loop and the new player and Dwight get into a locker. This is what the game was like. Pretty disgusting and almost 0 counterplay with this kind of coordination.

There is no auto lose unless you go brainless for the challenges.

You would be surprised how many solo que survivors can't function without Windows. This is why Ultimate Weapon was hated on so much for giving blindness.

  • @Chaosrider said:

Cause those are actual challenges and not just tasks to do.

So a solo que team should auto lose cause someone picked one of these challenges?

  • I had my first game where literally every player was a blatant hacker (teleporting, flying around, access to all perks, make themselves invulnerable, etc).

They all did it for a TikTok video as one of the players had "TikTok" in their name so I googled them and found countless videos of them hacking. It's wild that people are doing stuff like this to make money revenue from this game, are able to make it to level 100, and still aren't banned.

  • I ended up getting a response from my ticket. They basically said they'll look into it and to report through the game and not through a support ticket. Yet, you can't upload a video to a game report and they say they won't ban people without a video. Mixed messages.

  • @ShortyP said:

Did you see the YT video claiming if you upset the hackers they use bot accounts to mass report your Xbox/PSN account?

I have not but honestly it would not surprise me. This is what happens if you mess with gold farmers/bots in MMOs. They mass report you and most MMO systems are set if you get a certain amount of reports you get an auto 7-14 day ban before it's actually looked at.

  • @katoptris said:

Have you got the longest blind or the longest head on yet?

It can't be bannable because there's no true way to discern if they were being malicious or incompetent. If we banned people for mistakes, there'd be no-one left to play the game. And, you know, sometimes you're being chased and there's only one viable path ahead of you - sometimes there are people around. It's unfortunate but it happens. You certainly can't expect people who may be on death-hook to just up and die for fear of invading your personal space.

How is it not malicious intent if they do it multiple times per game. Or in TWO of my games bring them next to me and use the point emote or crouch spam to show the killer where I am and run off.

Nicolas Cage as the killer - He's such a good actor he could play both roles.

I guess you could call that a Plot Twist.

  • I have to agree that this could be abused. Your best looper is dead and you know you're going to lose? Well just have one of your premade quit the game. Now the best looper is back again.

  • @TheArbiter said:

I just changed my steam name to the achievement name and got it after a couple matches by a killer who understood

    This is actually pretty genius.

  • I just got it converting a killer that was stomping my team LOL.

  • @HoodedWildKard said:

I don't have it yet, but if you swf with some understanding friends you could probably manage it. find a weak/baby killer. Finish 4 gens making sure to get 2 gens 99d far away from each other. Run adrenaline, sole survivor, low profile and spine chill. Get your mates to throw themselves at killer and be ready on the 99d gen. The perk combo should guarentee you get gate open quick enough to escape

Once again, this is at mid-high mmr so you don't get baby killers up there. Of course I could dump my MMR to do this even solo but I'd rather not.

  • This is the last killer achievement I need on Steam. I should have ground this one out before I got my MMR to mid-high tier. Even if I just take the loss trying to farm this, I typically get 0 charges. Only time I get a guaranteed one is if they're tbagging at the exit gate and let me hail mary them at them.

  • I've had a lot of the same honestly.

  • I mean it's a legit complaint. I rarely see this kind of tech used to actually make a good escape. 9/10 it's used by a team trolling the killer by sitting in the exit gate tbag and flashlight click spamming and then taunting that you can't even get a person if you down them far enough from the exit part of the exit gate.

  • Even the bot must have known there was no hope of escape.

On a serious note, though, hopefully they fix it. Still better than no person at all at least.

  • All of his non carried traps start armed in set locations that already make sense (doorways, pallets, etc) to make survivors have to interact with them from the get go.

    Maps don't reveal traps.

  • @Nirgendwohin said:

Overall map RNG is something that have to be addressed in the future. The same map can be a sure win for the killer or an absolute disaster just how things spawn.

its hook dead zones for killers and zones without any pallets or window for survivors but with two gens.

I agree. We need to be more fair to both sides because having crap or god spawns can make or break the game.

I have heard there's cries in the black water swamp. The brushes of grass sobbing in corners...

Some say the squeals on Pig Farm are the sounds of the survivor crying out from a failed skilll check. No one can ever find them in fields to assist.

  • 4 gen regression if you're tryharding (Call of Brine, Eruption, Overcharge, Deadlock)

For mindgames and more fun matches but be prepared to lose way more often (Distressing, Coulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher, Nurse's Calling/Distressing Presence/Starstruck depending on your mood).

He has increased terror radius so you cover an insane amount of the map if you use any terror radius perks or ones that increase them. Really only good for mindgames and funsies.

  • @ZakRs1 said:

I'm an achievement #########, and I'm currently trying to do the Oni's achievements. Usually I'd say 75 downs with an ability isn't the worst of achievements, but in this case, this may be one of the worst. Scratch that, Adept Oni has to be worse. But there isn't actually anything wrong with the achievements in of themselves. Every killer has their own Adept challenges, and there are some killers with useless perks, and some with amazing, but really it comes down to their kit.

The Oni's kit is appalling for a Melee killer. No stealth, a bit like the OG Trapper and Hillbilly, but can traverse the map super quick like the Hillbilly. This should compensate for the fact that you are super slow and your ability is very clunky feeling, however, you're limited to using it once you have filled your gauge. The problem? Filling your gauge requires you to hit survivors which is nigh on impossible for this guy.

I struggle to see the strengths of the Oni, other than he can rapidly change direction of his charged attack if a person tries to dodge it, however, with the PoV you are given as killer whilst holding up your sword, it is quite tricky to even see where the survivor runs to.

Some of my suggested changes I'd personally like to see is:

Greater Field of View for the Oni, I know there are perks for this, but I shouldn't need a perk to be able to see through my attacks. I'd be very curious to see what it'd be like for a killer to have a survivors point of view... Would it be broken? Maybe, but I don't think anything would be considered broken on this killer right now.

Instant cast on Blood Fury (no more holding up his hands and walking slower whilst activating it... if Mike can surprise hit T3 and instant down somebody, I don't see why the Oni can't enter Blood Fury and then spend 2 seconds charging his auto attack to instant down you either).

Auto absorb.. I think it goes without saying that having to hold right click and absorb orbs at a reduced movement speed mid chase is the worst thing about the Oni. It feels like you're shooting yourself in the foot to then be thrown on the ground and stamped on because the payoff isn't even a payoff. You are hindering yourself for a pretty awful ability in the first place. I think when you're in a chase you should automatically absorb the orbs of the survivor you are chasing.

I understand the frustration as I, too am an achievement hunter. I'm only missing 5 right now and only 1 of them is for killer.

I have to say I am surprised you prefer getting 300 rank ups on Myers (generally over 100+ matches and he is one of the weakest killers), or 20 24 yard Hatchet throw downs on players (when you get to high MMR the only time this is generally possible is with them healing in the exit gate taunting you, or an iridescent from nowhere), or 3 teleport grab someone off a gen/unhook as Nurse. I am sure there are other ones that I wasn't excited to do. At least trapping 100 people with Trapper is way easier with the dead hard fix now but that one was also a doozy.

  • @TheArbiter said:

Were they awake? If survivors are awake freddy snares dont affect them

I would think so, too but they triggered one in the same chase vaulting through a window. I guess I could have completely missed them turning over seconds into the chase but not super likely.

  • Had another match where I wasn't even 3/4 of the way to my single hex and it was broken. Went almost as straight as possible. Even 15-30 seconds of protection would be nice.
