I don't feel the urge to win but I feel the urge to try my best every match... sometimes it works and other times it doesn't
-
Or "so and so said something that I agree with"

I don't really use much regression. Oppression alone is usually more than enough in my builds.
OHHHHH.... another Oppression user
Do you use Surveillance on top of it???
-
I barely used Eruption (back when it was 6% regression and 16 seconds of Incap)
SO I am used to not using it... but that said I try not to Camp and Tunnel

I think that devs will nerf Call of Brine in the coming patches
Same logic than previous S:PR nerf (from "slowdown/reg + detection" features to pure "slowdown/reg" perk)
Besides, in current Call of Brine (CoB) state, there is no real point running the Surveillance perk (from a paid DLC)
Thus, I expect that devs will 100% remove the booom notification feature from CoB perk.
I would really like that on Surveillance... But I digress
-
It'll be good for any Killer that uses Aura Reading
But then again it all kinda depends on the Survivors one plays against
-
They got to be willing to spend money and grind the game
They got to be able to soak all of the information that the game offers
They got to realize that the game doesn't hand them anything
-
Ok... So I will take the blame for this... once again I did suffer from a stroke almost 2 years ago and it effects my memory and thought processes
But Ruin and Pop... Ruin and Undying... Call Of Brine, Overcharge and Eruption... Oh and Ruin and Huntress Lullaby it's what I used
-
Alright... here goes
-
But then again Ruin would be a monster... again
-
Well good for you... I haven't played the game in a year... so I don't have any new experiences to speak of
But I do have a lot of head pops playing the Pig... that I wasn't trying to get
-
That's a good idea... but would be hard to code....
-
So the "infinite" window, no bloodlust... slower hooking
I didn't play during the start of DBD but I have watched videos on it
And how long did Old old Ruin last???
-
Yes... It was 6% regression and 16 seconds of Incapacitation
Then it was 10% regression and 25 seconds if Incapacitation
Now it's 10% of progress and 10 seconds of aura reading
I know how you feel... -pats shoulder-
-
It's probably the fact that they've updated the game... BHVR being BHVR and all
-
Again they should've just lowered the Incap duration to like 10 seconds...
I used the perk before it got changed and no one complained about it...
Actually I was using the "meta" before it was "meta" LOL... and nobody complained about it
-
@StarLost Take your break... come back when you feel it necessary
It's better for you in the long run... I haven't played in like a year so yea

A gen is 90 charges. 10% means it knocked off 9 seconds of progress. At 10% current, that means you are barely knocking off 4.5 seconds on a gen that is half complete. They pretty much made this perk useless. They should have kept it at 10% total (and revert the pop nerf too like really?) and made it so they screamed, it blocked the gen for like 10 seconds, and gave them the aura for 10 seconds.
The math for this perk doesn't add up anymore, lets say the gen is really close to being done (eruption doesn't actually show you the progress it gets rid of) then survivor screams and you see their aura, but you just downed someone. So you can either not hook them, slug, and go to the other survivor, or hook them. But if you hook them, the perk basically gave you no value, because it is gonna take you at least 10 seconds (if not longer) to hook them, meaning all it did was erase the progress the survivor would have got while you were hooking them. Very very low value.
Gen kick meta is dead, next up is Pain res/Surge/Pop (for killers who have a high usage power that cant use surge) until that gets nerfed too.
Actually 89.9
10% of 89.9= 8.99
-
1) The Killer didn't want to deal with you being better at looping...
2) Killers can't stop one chase and start another one so easily... plus it gives more time to the Survivors to do Gens
3) The Killer wanted more pressure... staying around the hook does that (for the most part)
-
All they need to do is to increase the Base Gen regression... from .25-.50
Then they will need to look at Gen regression perks...
Call Of Brine- being that it only lasts for 60 seconds... maybe leaving it would be the best thing (but I can be wrong)
Overcharge- this one could use a change though... Seems that it goes from 75% to 200% over 30 seconds
Plus only having one Regression perk in a build would be best but BHVR doesn't want to do that (for some reason)
Plus Oppression can be changed to have .50 regression on the Gen kicked but .25 on Gens effected

No, I mean it works better with stealth perks and stealth killers but it's still not worth using because you won't be able to down anyone due to healing speeds because they just run off and heal instead of looking for the totem. So currently it is a perk that gets no value.
OIC... ok then I get it now
-
OK sounds good
-
Camping???
-
SO how can you "mostly play Survivor but play Killer regularly"
But anyway... I don't know cause I don't play the game
-
I mean those sound good... but there will be builds centered around those
Then players will start complaining that they are the reason for it
Can't you get up from Commando though???

Pig is way too much. Needs a big nerf into the ground like the one her cousin Road Hog received.
I chuckled at that one... not going to lie
🤣
-
Eruption....
It can be waited out...
But you can do other things in niche scenarios...
Can add 20 seconds or more to a match
Does require both sides to play around it once it's known
-
I feel this... but trying to express that is hard
1) Typing it out is..... strange to say the least
2) My thoughts being what they are... after suffering a stroke (Don't worry I'm better now)
3) Me not being able to play the game
But anyway trying to come up with solutions is hard
-
The first Gen doesn't matter... as soon as players understand that the better off we'll be
-

You're forgetting Wesker and Knight.
The addons belong to Trapper, Cenobite and Pig.
As for camping, I didnt mention camping at all. The BT can easily trigger if you see a survivor running for the rescue(or the crows/scratchmarks they leave behind while b-lining to a hooked teammate), then go after that survivor and hit the unhooked survivor ASAP too. Thats not camping, it's not even proxy camping, thats just keeping an eye out.
I haven't played those Killers
Oh right... thanks
That does happen...

Yes Undetectable takes away the Terror Radius and so does Oblivious I was using it on Freddy and it literally served no purpose other than helping Survivors not get downed until I started playing normally.
Ok... that sucks
-
30 seconds....
30 seconds means 1-2 Gens pop and the Killer gets 1 hook out of it... or 3 Gens are around 33% done
Anything less then that means the Killer was better... and the Gens aren't that progressed
Anything more then that means the Survivor was better... and 1-3 Gens will be done
-
Favorite Killers:
Pig- SAW fan... highest level and has most perks
Huntress- Throwing hatches and getting hits is a good feeling
Spirit- Got to rank 1 after playing a match with her... never will forget that
Hag- I like the Traps she has
Deathslinger- Feels like I'm playing COD again
Doctor- Making 4 Survivors scream and the chuckle he has (I feel the same way)
Least Favorite Killers:
Bubba- The power is just to much for me without playing him (I know that playing him I will get better at it... but I digress)
Freddie- I fell off of playing him... HIs power doesn't feel right IMO but I don't know what it is
Trapper- Feels like a "I lose" Killer
Killers I haven't played yet:
Dredge- I had to stop playing the game (due to personal reasons) before he came out
Wesker- See the reason above
Knight- See the reason above

tbh no thought went into this i was typing this on and off at work to pass time there was probs a good argument to be made but to much thinking. even now just responding alittle to pass time
I sure seemed like you weren't thinking... just ranting... just saying
But anyway... So you say that DH got a buff... but would you rather want DH for distance or DH for deep wounds
This will help
-
I was asking about your changes...
And I was asking cause I don't know
-
1) Oh no.... please don't misunderstand... I see Overcharge as a buff (the skillcheck is still there so that being that) but the regression starting low then getting higher the more time passes... And Thanatoophobia isn't a Gen regression perk it's a slowdown (but you knew that)
2) No I understand what you are saying... but right now the best Gen regression is applied on a kick... and the best Gen progression is hitting great skillchecks and having a Toolbox
I don't know nor do I care about what BHVR does... not to be rude or anything
-

Eruption because it's annoying
Fair eoungh
-
It's mostly due to BHVR making Gens take longer (I get their thinking behind it... but didn't do anything else)
Which cause Gen regression and Gen progression to be slower... cause again they didn't do anything else
So Survivors will pick perks that either help them in chase (which causes the Killer to on them longer... and more time to get the Gens done) or do the Gens themselves
And the same can be said for Killers... do they want to have chase perks or Gen perks
-

formatting too hard on phone rather just type thoughts also what was the whataboutism for context cause i prob used it but dont know what it is
Fair enough... Then put 3 dots when you want to bring up something else... (Like that<<<)
Whataboutism is a term (Deadhard needs a huge nerf 3 health states is stupid every counter arguement ive heard for it was terrible and/or they go off topic and go "NeRf ErUpTioN ThAts MoRe BRoKen" sure but whats that have to do with deadhard) to describe this
Glad you calmed down enough to explain yourself and ask questions though....
But anyway.... maybe try to articulate what you want to say rather then just typing off the top of your head... It'll help a lot
-
The penalty is game progress (AKA losing Gens)
The base game goes against the Killer from the start... 4 Survivors VS. 1 Killer... 1.0-2.2 charges per second for progression and .25 charges per second for regression... 3 hooks per Survivor, 2 hits per Survivor
So status effects are there for a reason...
This is a Asymmetrical game not a Symmetrical... so don't expect the same things to be on both sides
Survivors have access to Discord... but the Killer is by themselves
4 perks for Killer and up to 16 on Survivor... up to 4 offerings and only 1 offering for Killer

Honestly, DH isnt that big of an issue. Its in a nice state right now. Deepwounds negating DH is a huge nerf. Slinger, Legion, any killer with Deepwound addons, survivors being hit during the BT duration.
So just Legion and Deathslinger.... 2/30 Killers
Deepwound addons? Who and how many??
And Camping... The game shouldn't rely on Camping in order to deal with stuff
-
That was a lot of words... Please try to split up and provide a more readable argument as to why DH is OP
Also if you want to prove your point don't use whataboutism... it makes your whole point crumble
But yes DH is still a problem but we don't have to deal with DH'ing for distance which was one thing players were complaining about... would you like that back???
-
Also what Buffs actually helped Killer at all
The kicking of "stuff" being faster and recovery apon getting stunned (I think) and faster hit recovery???
Obviously it wasn't enough
-
Ok... so a couple things I re-read
1) Gen regression isn't ruined (pun intended)... all that got the nerfed was Ruin (from 200% to 100%) and Pop (25% to 20%)
And Gen regression got a small (not good enough) of 2.5% of progression lost for every kick
2) And Gens went from 80 charges to 90 charges... which means Survivors that want the Gens done will bring Gen progression perks and not getting off of Gens to do nothing
And new Gen perks being released and Survivors are trying to make them work (with experiences ranging from "it's garbage" to "it's to powerful"

Whispers is funny because you never see it anymore, whereas when I started it was really common all the time, even among streamers like Otz.
I think it really goes to demonstrate the power creep this game has had with perks. Overcharge was bad back then, and COB, pain res, undying, eruption, etc. just didn't exist. So what you had was ruin and pop, maybe corrupt, which left more room for utility like whispers.
It's also Killer players understanding where and how Survivor Spawn and their starting movements
Plus it doesn't work once you have a Survivor hooked
-
Does Hex: Face The Darkness: effect Undetectable???
Cause if not then you'll see this perk along side TOTH, Undying and Devour Hope (or any other Hex perk or M&A) being used by Killers like Wraith, Mickey, Pig and Ghostface
But then again it'll help Hag and Spirit more
-
That's an addon that the Legion player can use
-
"Leaning Killer when there are 4 other people (players) trying to have fun"
Well... having to play Killer when the other 4 are in a SWF, have the 4 strongest perks on a Map they picked
Is that meant to be fun???
While we are on the subject... even learning a "new" Killer is even harder against (the example above)
The toxicity that comes from those Survivors is enough to either A) make that player stop playing the game or B) give up on trying to learn the "new" Killer and go back to the "tried and true"
Also the phrase "having fun" has different meanings depending on who you ask
-
But honestly what perks would one take off to get Dragon's Grip
Eruption- Perk does to much to let it go
Call Of Brine- Has good Gen regression for 60 seconds
Overcharge- Has better Synergy with Dragon's Grip
Nowhere To Hide- Aura reading apon kicking a Gen kinda goes against Dragon's Grip (but it's Aura Reading so it's more of a toss up)
-
They need to re-work him again...
But IDK how to make him fun... so yes, I'm sorry
