Part of the issue, as I understand it, is the Incapacitated was disproportionately powerful vs Solo Survivors as opposed to SWFs with comms, who could warn teammates they were about to go down.
Changing to aura reading doesn't really change that advantage but it does make getting hit by Eruption far less of an issue for solos, especially if they've got something like Distortion or Off the Record hiding their auras.
Then why wasn't Eruption used before the perk update?
25 seconds VS. 16 seconds... so what then

Because incapacitated as a status effect is too strong to be on a perk an old eruption showed. It should be like hindered and killer instinct, relegated to add ons and killer powers only.
No Eruption wasn't used that much before the perk update... so why not
Answer there were other perks that were stronger... if they didn't change the perk what then
-
It's more on the people playing the game
It's more like playing for 3-4 hours at a time... it's more of us as gamers slipping down the slope of toxicity and not realizing it until it's too late
-
That's good I guess... but why did they need to remove Incapacitated from it though
Like before the perk update it wasn't used as much... all they needed to do was to turn down the Incapacitated status effect
-
It's more like I see things that I don't do:
Hag- putting more then 1 trap around the hook
Pig- Tunneling a Survivor with a RBT on
-
There is more to it then just the Killers being made
DH is a reaction... it offers a third health state...
It causes Killers to stay close waiting for it rather then just swinging
-
So removing Autodidact and Unnerving Presence...

Overcharge does not add, it's multiplying base. it's 75% of 0.25 charges (0.1875 overall), which then ramps up to 200% of 0.25 charges (0.5 overall)
ok... thanks
-
Have you tried to pick up a child with one hand.... need to get the waist... but I digress
-
No they are not but they are treading on a thin line
-
I don't like coming here and seeing the same things over and over again... and saying the same things over and over again
So if there are people like me... that could be a reason
-
So...
Pop- 15.5 charges would be removed all the time... I like that
Eruption- 7.1 (7.192) charges would be removed... doesn't seem worth a spot... but multiple Gens being hit with Eruption at that % kinda makes sense
BTW those numbers were taken from 89.9 (cause that's the highest a Gen can be and still be interacted apon by the Killer
And Call Of Brine only increases the rate of regression by .25 charges making the total .50 charges per second... for 60 seconds which means a Gen would lose 30 charges
Then Overcharge starts at 75% (which adds 0.1875 to the .25) then grows to 200% (which again increases the rate by half) in 30 seconds but stays 200% until it's fully regressed or a Survivors taps the Gen
-
I will... but not as soon as possible
I have other Killers and Survivors to get before that
-
There does need to be something... but there needs to be a line
-
People gaslighting???
-
Yes... they know
So do you play Killer as well???
-
Yes it is Maps... Spawns for everything need to be looked at
But it's also base Gen regression VS. base Gen progression
Base Gen regression is .25 charges per second and only Call Of Brine and Overcharge change that
Base Gen Progression is 1.0-2.2 and Prove Thyself, Toolboxes ETC change that
How about they fix those things before introducing new things

you make me sound like a mind reader! I know what on your mind. Winning mindgames on forums. Amusing.
LOL.... But then again I did suffer from a stroke so some of my brain is dead.... LOL
I've done that as well...
-
Again it comes back to Maps and base Gen regression
How many Maps are truly balanced
How many Maps are Killer sided
How many Maps are Survivor sided
Now base Gen regression is so low that Killers need to run 3-4 Gen regression perks to try to counter Gen progression which is higher and perks and Toolboxes can make this higher

that is exactly what i was thinking. I was reading blueberry post and sitting here for long deep think. What killers feel total perfection? I could think blight as only near perfect killer. Maybe nurse but I think she is being punished too much for successful blinks hits now.
I would say 99% of the killers could use adjustments but their adjustment would vary big to minor.
Thanks for saying it... I've been having thoughts on this
But again this is General Discussions so I don't want to turn this into something it's not but... I digress
But again IMO there's too much information that Survivors can use... Nurses screams and when she had a fully charged Blink, Pig's roar, Hillbilly's grunt, Huntress's ping on a fully charged Hatchet... ETC some of those should be either addon based or taken put completely
-
Not to sound pessimistic but all of them aren't right
How many Killers can bring any addon and feel a difference?
How many Killers don't need addons?
How many Killers would benefit from a couple addon changes
-
No but Killer verity will take a hit... as if it wasn't already a problem
-
Putting more effort in Perks and Killers would mean making new perks OP and S tier Killers
People have already complained about those things
Eruption, Call Of Brine, Deadlock, SH:PR... ETC
Wesker, Artist, certain playstyles with Pinhead and Sadako
Killers are either strong basekit or addon dependent
Perks are either too strong or too weak
-
Well... I'm wrong... but it doesn't look like what you drew
-
I want Maps to be balanced.... that's all I want

Doesn't she have that hairstyle?
Short... I don't think so... But then again I don't care enough about cosmetics so I may be wrong
-
If only she had that hairstyle and actually amiles
-
So much for "a wide verity of builds"
Jokes aside Each one of those carry a risk.... which is why they are seen as not good either that or require a build centered around it
Also a Survivor has to be good at hitting greats... which a lot of us aren't
-
It happens too much at this point...
Basekit BT
Gens that can be done in like 5 minutes
Maps that favor Survivors
Oh and Ruin, Undying and Eruption nerf
Healing times
COH and Toolboxes, Medkits
-
Why do you think Call Of Brine needs a Nerf
Nowhere To Hide just needs an adjustment (having the Gen be the center point)... as far as I am aware
-
Fixing Maps
Adjusting Survivor progression rates (this does include perks)
Adjusting Killer regression rates (this does include perks)
Would reduce Tunneling
-
I've had similar messages (I play on Xbox)
I laugh at most of them

No, 10 percent is too much. If they want to keep it like this, 5% max because Devs should understand that a 15% surv side isn't the same as a 15% killer side. For example, pain resonance remove 15% from a gen? 15% from a gen are like 2 seconds, and you don't even know where the gen is. 15% with prove thyself is an higher value because it can cumulate and then you devour gens too fast.
As I said, they should completely rework the perk, making it skill based. As I said in the main post, is called prove thyself not degree in mechanical engineering and in a game where Devs want skill based match making it doesn't make sense that a perk that work without any skill requirements and give you this advantage exist.
In my opinion, how I would rework the perk is good because you deserve to use it. In every matches I always keep the killer in chase, sometimes also for the time required to make 2 or 3 gens, so you know I will use this perk in all my build because it is like "Oh ok, I kept the killer for a long time, now I can focus on gens and repair even faster for some time".
Sorry for my English, I'm Italian and I'm writing this fast because I'm going to work now😅
10% is to little not to much....
10% of 89= 8.99 (meaning 8 or 9 charges removed)
But
10% of 25= 2.5 (meaning 2.5 charges removed)
15% is good enough
15% of 89= 13.485 (meaning ~13.5 charges were removed)
Then
15% of 25= 3.75 (meaning 3 or 4 charges were removed)
22.5% (20% from Pop and 2.5% from base Gen regression apon kicking)
22.5% of 89= 20 (meaning 20 charges were removed)
Then
22.5% of 25= 5.625 (meaning 5 or 6 charges were removed)
Killers time is 4X shorter then Survivors
Base Gen regression is 1/4th progression (meaning .25 charges per second) VS. base Gen progression being 1.0-2.2 charges per second
-
I would vote for a unranked mode:
Would still give BP's but will not affect grade, Some players will use it as practice and casuals will not have to worry about grades
Or a perkless mode:
Self explanatory really... but only Items and Offerings can be used... BP gain of course but grades may or may not be effected
But yea maybe splitting the community maybe a good thing at this point

If it got to end game and there's 4 survivors still alive no you don't deserve a free kill, you lost.
But anyway... getting a kill during EGC isn't free by any stretch of the imagination
The only way it's free is if I hook a Survivor and the rest leave
-
So did you forget about Pig or do you find her fun to play as???
-
People didn't need to play since game launch to form an opinion.... also good for you do you want a cookie for it
Yes there are other issues with the game... but with perks being complained about everyday they can't get to the other issues
Then we get someone like you whom believes that the launch version of the game was the best
So no hatch action is the Killers fault?
Technically sure End game doesn't need aura reading perks.... but would you want the Killer to stand in the corner waiting for you and/or your teammates to leave
So you are the kind of player whom thrives on seeing a Killer fail?
How can you discern intent and emotion in a video game?
It has more to do with how BHVR is coding the game... not being a X sided team
-
Most perks are good... but they aren't "meta" so they aren't used
-
Cause it's not "meta"... and Killers don't want to have 5 minute matches

I've got a few. Prison. Sewers. Campsite. Oil rig. Metro station. Airport. Fairground. Zoo.
Those sound good
-
Hex: The Third Seal... why make it instant down... making Survivors Blind is good enough
Hex: Thrill Of The Hunt... why make the auras show... making Totems longer to cleanse/bless is good enough
And of course if you think Hunted Grounds is fine when you made those changes ^^^ then IDK
-
Still would have to deal with base Progression VS. Regression
-
I like the Killer's power
Perks... Sound good
They definitely have a place in the game
-
Well IMO... that's just one part
But Maps have a lot to do with Gen speeds
And Survivor in general... Grouping up, Toolboxes and Perks

A lot of people think killers are set dressing or toys to play with or are there to facilitate their fun. There's little thought for the person trying to have a good time playing the killer of their choice behind the screen.
I get that feeling -.-
-
Yea I would run:
Oppression- Gen pressure and Gen knowledge
Surveillance- Gen knowledge and Synergizes with Oppression
Corrupt- Early game Gen pressure
Whispers- Survivors tracking
Works just as well as you put effort into it
-
It might be soon it might be later... I guess it'll depend on the data they collect
But it'll be scary to see what they come up with
-
Why punish Killers for playing who they want....
Maybe they just got done playing a different Killer... and now face a longer queue cause they want to play a specific Killer
Like for me I haven't played Dredge, Wesker or Knight... so if/when I get back into the game I would be punished cause I want to learn those Killers... That doesn't make any sense
-
Why stop there...
Hag and Trapper
Hillbilly and Bubba
Mickey and Ghostface
Point being this happens more often then just recently
-
An Unranked mode... would really help those that are newer to the game
No Grades, No Prestige... just show Devotion level (maybe or maybe not)
Or give generic builds to newer players... instead of letting them pick (pros and cons with everything I know)
Then again as someone already said... KYF with someone who knows the game (not everything but enough to teach newer players what they need to know)
