I mean how is it not skillful to not kick Gens?
Also Eruption wasn't used when it had 16 seconds so they buffed it to 25 seconds and it became OP
So why not give it 10 seconds of Incap. and be done with it
Blocking Gens takes away regression... so you would get the 10% but nothing else
-
So other then 360's not working out for you how are you on the other things... like Gen skillchecks, Game awareness (like healing, and saving)
Do you understand the Killer's power's?
There's a lot more then 360's to worry about... How long are your chases (from healthy to down)?
-
We all get burned out of a game... especially if it's the same thing every time one plays the game
1) getting Camped, Tunneled, 3Gen'd, Gens being done in 5 minutes (give or take)
2) facing the same Killers whom play the same way, and facing Survivors whom all play the same way as well
3) Playing on the same Maps (like how many times can one play on the same map and still have fun)
-
For me it's a solid 5/10
The last time I played the game was after Skull Merchant came out (and of course I got her)
The game turned from Perk and Killer verity to only running a few perks and playing a few Killers
Playing the game for hours was fun and all but playing the game for hours isn't for everyone nowadays
-
Thinking that Survivors should only be doing Gens is what I find to be a problem
Survivors have other things to do... Totems, Saving and Healing come to mind
But that's why players complain about Gen Rushing and 3Genning
How much skill does it take to do all 5 Gens in 5 minutes...
How much skill does it take to stand by 3 Gens until the Survivors give up
If all I face is Survivors whom want to do all of the Gens in 5 minutes... what should I do Try Harder, or just let it happen?
If all I face are Killers whom either Tunnel or stand at a 3Gen... What should I do Try harder or just give up?
-
Welcome... and good luck
Thanks for introducing yourself
-
Some things yes... other things no
Adding more time onto the Gens was decent
But nerfing the "meta" perks just because... is wrong
-
Maybe just fixing the Maps would solve a lot
Either expanding the Maps (to allow more Gen placements) or constricting the Maps (to allow less "deadzones" and maybe less Gens)
But IDK though... pros and cons to everything
-
Honestly at this point making a new chapter for SAW would work better
-
Obviously Laurie would have to be involved in one way shape or form... for lore reasons
-
I mean... none are OP in a vacuum (IMO)
But there might be a few that Synergize either with other perks or Killer's
Like Surveillance and Oppression (low tier but it's there)
Or Lethal Pursuer on Nurse, Blight, Hillbilly... ETC

i really doubt it... while it is obvious that SAW collab is extremely active, like Resident evil one(a lot of new cosmetics, whole tome chapter), theres not much you can do with SAW killers.
I think there's more they can do with SAW
Just look at Killer powers and Perks that are in the game already
Pyramid Head's cages
Wiretap
That new one that can trap Pallets (I can't remember the name... nor have I learned it... LOL)
I can think of a few new things for SAW chapters
-
I wish but no... even if they would be skins it wouldn't make much sense
They could release a 2nd SAW chapter though
-
Seems that his best addons are centered around the Turrets... so it's a mix
Buffing the Turrets will make those addons even better
Nerfing those addons will make the Turrets better
So maybe both... but we'll have to wait and see
-
I like the verity
Playing Killer and Survivor
Playing different Killers
So on and so forth
IMO though
-
If Survivors get an end game Unbreakable then Killers should get a Open Gate option even if there's a Gen left... and it would only work if there's 1 Gen left
I hate to put it out like this but I think that would be the fairest way to go about the end game situation
-
Dwight
Jake
Ace
Bill
Adam
Jeff
Felix
Leon... I guess
Vittorio
Those are non DLC male Survivors... I left out DLC cause they don't get a lot... minus Leon
So maybe either stop maining a specific Survivor or don't worry about not getting skins... Sorry if that sounded harsh
-
Cause stats can be used to claim some wild things
But what they should do is stats every 3-6 months all at once:
1) Maps play rate (and even if a offering was used) and Kill rates on those maps
2) Perks usage rates
3) Killer pick and Kill rates
4) Hook states and Gen completed
Even separating all of those for region and platform
-
I can't think of one thing specifically... cause there's a lot
But... Making Status Effects also affect skillchecks was something I have thought of but I didn't get much feedback (probably cause I didn't explain much fully) also due to other changes made to some of the status effects would make my idea a moot point
If they did make this a thing then it would make skillchecks both interesting and annoying (LOL)
If not that then probably reverting the healing nerfs (or at least some of them)
-
The lack of changes... 6.1.0 was the only time they have done anything close to changing anything
But some of the changes were just to change things

call of brine + overcharge skullmerchant... I'm still traumatized... 😭
I get it... I understand it
But the way they handled it was a bit underwhelming
Knocking the regression rates in half (more or less) instead of putting on a cap on regression or a different effect
-
BHVR changes perks cause they are used too much
Ruin, Pop, Corrupt, Call Of Brine, Eruption
Some of those were handled wrong (IMO), others could've been done differently
-
They all are fun in their own way
-
I mean some players find some form of enjoyment...
Some players will try certain things with her... either to come up with something other then 3-Genning

Nah, it's says this perk does not stack. So this mean you will be run with 5% haste. MfT will be wasted in boon range.
Fair enough...
-
People complain about facing the same Killers over and over... it isn't about the number of Killers in the game it's more about those Killers being played more often then not
-
Sure cause this perk would take over... I mean having the tokens being saved if snuffed would be the talk of the town
But MFT would synergize with this perk to no end
-
I mean a more detailed description is good and all...
-
Things happen on both sides
Really old Ruin made Skillchecks harder, old Ruin increased regression rate, new Ruin made the regression rate the same and has a deactivation condition
Really old DS happened every time the Killer picked up a Survivor and progressed the wiggle meter to a certain % (I know there's more to it)
Older maps had 2 pallets per loop... but now it's a pallet on every loop (or close to it)
Gen used to be (I think) 70 charges... now it's 90
There used to be less perks (obviously).... so there was less overlap... so now there's more perks and most of them have overlap and conditions... and less characters
I could go on but my memory is terrible
-
Run Whispers... it will allow you to know if there's a Survivor within 32M (tier 3) with would make Static Blast even more effective
There's more but I'll leave you with this
-
Corrupt- allows more time to find the first survivor
Try not to RBT the same Survivor... split them up
-
Officially: 3-4K as Killer, 3-4E as Survivor
Unofficially: 9-12 Hooks as Killer, Escaping through the door
Hatch only counts as a draw
-
At first those terms made sense... but now not so much
It's more about efficiency at this point
-
I'm on the Forums so I don't lose sense of the game
I play the game cause I find it entertaining to a point
-
They need to make an unranked mode
Then they need to add Gens and Hooks to MMR
Even then they need to bring back Ranks
Tweak the Pip system...
-
OK...
So MMR is based on Kills and Escapes... it isn't based on Gens and Hooks
Players want to be "the best of the best"... so they take the MMR system and use it to their advantage
And that means completing Objectives as fast as possible
And again is it fun... no
Is it fair... kinda
It's a viscous cycle... Killer Tunnel then Survivors will do Gens faster, Survivors doing Gens fast then Killer Tunnel
-
Is it fair... yes
Is it fun... no
4V1... chasing one leaves 3 to do Gens
3V1... chasing one leaves 2 to do Gens
It's not mechanic based it's gameplay based... what mechanics make tunneling a thing... what can BHVR do with those mechanics to make Tunneling worse
-
IDK... how do you play??? How long are your chases??? What Addons do you like using???
Maybe:
Corrupt- stopping the first Gen being done before you find the first Survivor (probably)
Deadlock- stops the most progressed Gen for 30 seconds (probably)
Oppression- kicking one Gen cause up to 3 Gens to start regressing (RNG based) and causes difficult skillchecks for all Survivor currently on Gens
Surveillance- synergizes with Oppression
Pop- hooking a Survivor activates Pop for 30-45 seconds and causes the next Gen you kick lose 22.5% of progress
What perks do you want to keep... or are you the type to change the loadout???
-
Slugging- taking that away would be ok I guess but being on the ground for however long still means Slugging is still in the game
Tunneling- what could they do to take it away... no Bloodlust chasing the same Survivor... Haste for getting chased... I hate to say this but Tunneling is gameplay driven not mechanics driven... there isn't much BHVR can do about this
3 Gen- most of the time it's on the Survivors... yes I do get it some Killer powers make it easier but Survivors should realize that's what's going on
-
Doctor: uses his knowledge to tourture the Survivors (and his victims before his arrival into the realm)
Trickster: makes music out of his victims screams... aka he likes tourture just like Doctor
Hag: from a normal human into a cannible... PS her and Bubba might even get along, LOL
Legion: Teenagers... need I say more, LOL
Dredge: darkness incarnate... need I say more
Knight: years of fighting and war does a lot to a person... just ask the military
Skull Merchant: twisted obsession with her dad's manga (my words... I didn't read up on her lore)
Nurse: working in an Insane Asylum for however long (recons aside)... will turn anyone
AKA all of them have points... maybe except Wraith
-
I have been apart of some of that (before Made For This)... Survivors will avoid completing the last Gen to do things that they thought would upset me... but it ended up with them dying
At one point they "Oh crap" and finish that Gen and still wind up ded
But I can only imagine this with Made For This
-
There are plenty of reasons:
1) Campers and Tunnelers- even the fear of it happening to them
2) Teammates- since Survivors have to interact with other Survivors (now more then ever) if they see an incompentent teammate they are done
3) Seeing the same Killers- I've seen a lot of posts of people complaining about going against the same Killers
4) Ego- they can't deal with playing with or against certain things
5) Same objectives for 7 years- they have been the same for so long that everything else matter more then the repetitiveness
-
Pig, Huntress, Hag and Spirit
Then everyone else besides Bubba and Freddie
-
So not hooking Survivors cause it's not the way you hoped.... ok
But not hooking Survivors cause "it takes too long" it's give and take... that's why there are perks around hooking even a Killer that has his own version of a hook but perks don't activate (on both sides)
Giving the time to hook is the same as Survivors cleansing Totems, Healing, even Gen repair and Sabo
Also it gives the Survivors counterplay centered around the pick up, travel time and even the hooking animation
Pick up- Flashlights and flashbangs
Travel time- Breakout (I think... the one that came out with Yui)
Hooking Animation- Hiding near the hook to get a quick save
It also gives the Survivors time to play the game without Killers powers
For Killers it's all about pressure... having 2 Survivors downed and hooking them both will make them sweat just a little being a bit closer to death rather then having 4 minutes of bleed out...
I always hook Survivors (tunneling or not... I couldn't care less in the heat of the moment)
-
I hate to say this.... Pig
-
Ok so the bots know where the Killer is at all times... seems just like AI
Killers are used to going against players (other humans)... so mindgames are ingrained into gameplay
Putting those 2 things together... no wonder
-
Well they are running out of licenses to bring so maybe they are keeping those in the background for now
Or they can't get them to work giving the engine and coding
-
Since I play Killer more often then Survivor... I will relay my thoughts on playing as the Killers... also I play on console so yea
Trapper: I find him almost boring... I say almost to mean that picking up and setting (and even resetting) his traps and (for me) not getting a lot of value out of it
Wraith: Love him... versatile And Memey at the same time
Hillbilly: I still haven't gotten used to him (since I only started to play him after his nerf)
Nurse: She's fun but to Skill heavy (which I don't mind)
Shape: He's fun in his own right... not much else to say
Hag: I love her strategy gameplay
Doctor: Kinda boring... But his shocks are fun
Huntress: She's fun as a FPS player
Bubba: I don't play him
Freddie: I don't play him either
Pig: I main her... I love the SAW series... She's versatile
Clown: He's fun to play as...
Spirit: She's good but the player needs a pair of headphones
Legion: They're decent... but then again they're finnicky
Plague: She's fun but if the Survivors know what they are doing she underperforms (IMO)
Ghostface: He's fun... Can sneak around easily but the reveal mechanic
Demogorgon: He's fun and playing statically
Oni: He's fun on open maps... and not fun on closed maps
Deathslinger: Same as Oni
Pyramid Head: He's ok IMO... His trails can be avoided but I can see why
Blight: He's not my flavor of Killer... I can't get used to him
Twins: I like her playstyle... but others don't
Trickster: OOF... playing him on console is a workout
Nemesis: He's fun to play as... His zombies could use some help... Also his footsteps are loud AF
Pinhead: I don't have a lot of experience in playing as him
Artist: I like her but I still haven't found my playstyle for her
Sadako: Same as Pinhead
Dredge: I don't have him
Wesker: Same as Pinhead
Knight: He can be fun... I have found a playstyle
Skull Merchant: Same as Pinhead
Singularity: Same as Dredge
-
Whispers and Corrupt
Whispers: I can't stand not knowing if there's a (or) Survivor(s) around
Corrupt: I Still haven't gotten over not using it (Help ME)
-
It's more like the balance of the game as a whole...
Spending time to set up a boon= less time on Gens
With healing and Gen times increased it makes players go and do the Objective instead of "wasting time" doing anything else
And with the nerfs to COH, and the "uselessness" of the others... kinda seems like an issue (at least IMO)
Also with no perk (that I can think of) that speeds up Blessing there's really no real reason to bring a Boon perk
Like we have perks and items that speed up Healing and Gens so I wouldn't be surprised to see a perk that speeds up Blessing... also surprised to not see that perk come out with Mikayla (sorry if I misspelled her name)
