Doesn’t come close to billy?! Billy is literally played the same exact way on every loop. Spin around, double back, spin around, double back again, spin some more, and go for a curve. It literally has no deviation. Is it difficult? Yes, but there is SO much more to blight’s power.

Sure, they didn’t escape THAT match. How many times has a blight been beat in a tournament? Does that mean survivors should be nerfed because they beat blight at top levels?

I’ll ask again, what about the survivors who have high escape streaks? We just going to ignore those?

I’m really not biased. I’ve been playing since release. I have mained many killers, and have gone through many periods of maining survivor. I currently play a good 50/50 split.

“nO pOiNt iN tAlKiNg, lOoK aT yOuR nAmE” yea yea I’ve heard this 100 times, and it’s usually people who cannot pose a valid argument so you default to that.

I see, so you never played billy. I get it tho, it's too much for a blight main learning a harder killer.

So let me explain to you why Blight will never come close to Billy in terms of mastering.

First of all you have to learn how to properly feather you chainsaw, you have to learn every tile on the map meaning you have to learn at what point you should start chainsaw, how much should you turn, basically the knowledge of knowing how much you should curve lets compare this thing with Blight, you will press M2 on object in the same tile, look at survivor and get hit because double speed or vial exist. Now you have to learn WHEN to use your chainsaw this is something you have to learn for hours and hours to know if you're going to make the down or not, with Blight? You can use your power whenever you want, because 1. He is not punished for using it or for missing like Billy, on top of that Blight only has 2.5 seconds cooldown for missing his power or for bumping with last rush, which once again is just bad design, lets continue. Yes with Blight you have to learn tiles too, however it becomes clear fast, which tiles you can bump off and slide off " not on purpose ".

And spinning around in the loop sure that's one of the mindgames that you can do, but it's not everything. Your lack of knowledge just tells me you never mastered billy.

Everything that I mention from curving, learning tiles, knowing exactly how much to curve, mindgames, feathering, when to use your chainsaw is by far a lot harder than anything Blight has.

Tell me one person who mained Blight first and is now good at Billy and vice versa. There is a reason why, when a billy player starts playing Blight they do have easier time than a Blight player playing Billy.

  • Blight players really think that equiping double speed, vial+crow, ring+crow and looking down on object is skill.

    (No it isn't)

Blight deserves to be nerfed the skill ceiling doesn't even come close to Billy and the players are just handheld by busted addons just like nurse players were with double recharge and range addons which thank god are no longer part of the game.

Y’all really need to stop using tournaments as your “proof” in arguments. Those players can make any killer loop OP.

What else do you need? Top survivors could not escape the killer.

    1500 wins in row?

You are biased beyond biased, no point with arguing with someone who is cringe enough to put exploit in their name and be proud of doing it.

  • @ABAEX said:

    nope, blight can be Counter.

just be good to Counter blight.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1925385412?t=00h56m26s Ok, please tell the best players from Elysium and Eternal to do that too. They couldn't do 5 gens against this killer.

And this is with the so called " balanced addons " .

  • @Maperson said:

His basekit is completely fine, just nerf the ring and call it a day.

He has like 7 problematic addons

  • I don't get it, even a skull merchant got rework faster than anything being done to Blight.. Yes skull merchant is broken but Blight has been broken killer for years overshadowed by Nurse.

  • Blight is getting nerfed anyway, so enjoy the last weeks/months of this broken killer.

  • I really would love to see a good blight nerf, his addons have been untouched for way too long and they do not belong in the current version of the game, not even the speed addons.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/390706/blight-update-in-the-near-future

Hope they butcher Alch ring, Both Iri, and adren. I'm praying they don't touch double speed because those add-ons are fine.

1400 wins in row is fine with those addons yes, hope they remove them completely.

  • So Mandy tells me instead of writing the mods/devs in message I should ask in the forums but no one answers . :)

  • I hope next mid chapter like, it has to come.

Using Iri Tag, Vial, C21, Crow, Rat, C33, Ring takes as much skill as old insta saw billy (none)

  • It's inevitable at this point : C33, Tag, Ring, Vial, Crow, C21, Rat will get nerfed, sooner or later.

Also don't argue with Sava18 he is known from his posts, comments and videos that he is a blight main and uses ring, Crow and rat in his videos. He has a massive skill issue and needs to get hard carried by no brain addons. :D

  • Well yeah they are refusing to nerf it along with no brain killer called Blight.

  • 1 month later still having the same issue.

3840x2160 with scale 150% forces me into 4k resolution instead of 2560x1440

It's not that it's not good, it's just most of the time playing normally is simply better. Hug tech has far too much counter play. It's best use is mitigating rush usage and making unplayable tiles playable to an extent(cold wind tiles with nothing on up to three sides come to mind). Although it makes some filler tiles very blight favored.

Everyone else. You literally can't have a conversation with op, he just ignores everything you say and says "alch ring exploiter".

You literally can't have conversation with Blight mains, they repeat the same thing.

Also you use Ring and Crow with BBQ and Shadowborn and say that you play for fun or? XDD

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/360543/blight-and-dh-for-those-who-want-to-learn-blight-or-are-new-to-him#latest

Lmao I was right, alch ring bots 💀

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Blight mains will go out of their way to defend hug teching by saying that it's only for fun and is 50x weaker and more inconsistent than bump logic and yet play with the strongest addons imagine able and slug for the 4k and hardcore tunnel at 5 gens while still doing it. Like if it's so weak and inconsistent but you're very clearly playing to win why do it at all?

Also reminder that tech is just a snazzy name for exploit you don't want fixed.

    Based

Also remember " Removing Hug Tech will BUFF Blight " famous words by Blight main that abuses it every game. xD

  • @duygu said:

it may be defined as a bug but they cannot fix this bug without changing the physics of blight therefore is it really a bug that can be simply removed? in my view a bug is something like the wake up bug which gave you bonus speed on everything instead of just the exit gate, now that's a certified bug because it's not supposed to do that according to the perk description. in blight's case and many other killers who have their own 'techs', it's generally due to how they are coded and shouldn't be unexpected.

They already made collision detector for Wesker for example, when he is near wall, no matter if he looks up or down he can't rush, pretty sure they can implement it to Blight.

  • @WeakestNurseMain said:

It's literally a game dude, I don't know what to say other than that.

People use hug tech to conserve rushes, they use as a mindgame on short loops and there's plenty of counterplay, just run away if you see it on low wall loops, if you hear the blight bumping a lot, you can assume there stuck/trying to hug tech, and in either case, just run away.

It is a useful tool some Blight's use to save time and close the distance faster, but the alternative is making the Blight very clunky and prone to getting stuck on random collision.

It's a game with RULES and using exploits for advantage is against the RULES.

Right so you just said that It's used for advantage. GUYS JUST RUNAWAY, Surely the blight won't be using C21 to know where you are or double speed to catch up to you because you left a loop.

Tell me you main blight without telling me you main blight.

  • @Robotfangirl67 said:

I under stand the frustration of being exploited cause I had similar buggy issues in the past many times. I will also say that yes Blight does need some add-on rework for sure. But I don’t think banning someone using hug tech should be banned? Cause I feel that it’s not in the right direction.

I mean it takes skill to learn the hug tech like 360ing for survivor which I heard is also a bug. And if again we banned people for using hug tech then we should banned people 360ing. I will also say like other mentioned in the past that if both got remove them will it make the better, I probably say maybe. But that’s why we test things to figure out which way is better. If I came off contradictory I apologize for that.

Using hug tech and doing 360 takes skill? It takes like 2 games to get hang of it.

  • @Shroompy said:

There are plenty of Survivor techs that have been in the game for years that are barely complained about yet have much more of an impact. Here a few just off the top of my head:

Trap Buffering: At first was declared a bug which was fix, and was intentionally reintroduced in a later patch

Crouch Tech: Makes some killers glide right off of you instead of landing a hit because of crouching at a surface that is lower than the killer (Most notable killers are Billy, Blight and Demo)

Window Tech: Allows you to phase through the killer while theyre performing a vault. Al though difficult and inconsistent, can still very much throw the killer off

CJ Tech: Vaulting into a locker, window, or most commonly a pallet to make the killer pick up a downed Survivor thanks to overriding the prompt.

Vault Tech: While the Wraith or Sadako are cloaked/demanifested, spam vault at pallet to force them to uncloaked/manifest.

Stagger Cancelling: Using a prompt (most commonly vaults) to cancel a stagger from either a drop down or killer power

Phase Tech(?): Using a map, key, or the perk Clairvoyance grants you the ability to lose collision with the killer.

Input Buffer: Allows the person to complete an action that they otherwise wouldnt be able possible thanks to your action taking priority. Most commonly shown with The Doctor with vaulting or dropping a pallet despite being shocked. Can also be done by getting a fast vault by buffering the input at an odd angle.

Then there are several other killers who have insane techs, way more impactful than hug tech will ever be (Not all of these are as strong as hug tech, but they are still clearly unintended and can still be very impactful depending on the situation)

Input Buffering: Similar to Survivors, but can be used with some killer powers instead. Most notable being Trapper who can place traps in places he otherwise wouldnt be able to, causing the trap to be shoved into the ground (only works on specific spots)

Curving: Utilizing certain obstacles, allows killers who have some sort of collision mechanic to slide right off of said obstacle despite running directly into it. Most notable examples being Billy, Demo, and Blight

Flicking: Allows certain killers to ignore their camera restrictions while using their power. Most notable being Oni or Pyramid Head

FL Cancel: Allows killers to cancel their powers due to being blinded. Most notable example being Legion

Locker Bend(?): Allows the Dredge to exit a locker at a different angle. Some what inconsistent and can leave him stuck inside the locker instead.

Drag Tech: Allows the Nemesis to drag his tentacles hitbox with him while moving.

Urobend: As Wesker, dash while looking in a different direction than youre going and then colliding with a Survivor will cause you to go into the direction your looking instead of forward.

Un named Tech: Looking up or down has a variety of different benefits for certain killers. Most notable examples being Freddy who can place Snares through walls thanks to this or Bubba who can hug some surfaces much tighter.

And finally the most loved tech of all which is still possible in certain places... Skybilly: Allows the Hillbilly to reach new heights when colliding and dropping with some obstacles at a certain angle.

    Trap Buffering

    No idea what this is.

    Crouch Tech

This is something that I want to be removed or bannable.

    Window Tech

Could be removed, not as impactful as crouch exploit or hug bug.

    CJ Tech

This works only against baby killers.

    Vault Tech

Can't really be considered exploit also your take with sadako is wrong, unless you're talking about PTB cuz while demanifested she gets into chase so the window blocks

    Stagger Cancelling

This is something that needs to be fixed, it's just BS.

    Phase Tech

Doesn't work with map anymore, should also be fixed.

    Input Buffer

This is something that has been changed later in the game, if you played against the OG doctor, he canceled your vault, even if you were in animation.

    Sliding:

If you slide because there is no collsion I see no problem with it.

    Flicking

On ONI this is an exploit I can say that for sure, the oni has 90 Degree hard cap on his flick, this should be fixed or be bannable, this is not even possible to do on console. It's literally the same exploit that Blight could do long ago.

    FL Cancel

    Intended mechanic.

    Drag Tech

This is kinda stupid but also is intended.

    Urobend

According to ingame stats, this is intended, however in the PTB it does not work anymore, maybe they decided to remove it.

    Skybilly

Is a term which is basically dead since they removed the speed when you're not on the ground. Skybilly/Spacebilly the only bug that wasn't used for advantage unlike Crouch "tech", Hug "tech", Surpassing Oni 90 degree hard cap.

    You:

    :[If]/:[Bug]:=:[True]:, :[Then]:/:[Remove]:=:[Now]:

Hug tech makes blight infinite more fun (contrary to your opinion, not that you'd know since you probably dont play blight) and has plenty of counter play. The same outcome could be achieved through typical bump logic, hug tech is just more fun. The only time its objectively better is at filler pallets. And even then you can just RUN AWAY. or drop the pallet, run the opposite direction he rushes, go around the other end of the loop etc.

What did some blight get a sick down on you with hug tech and now you think its absolutely broken? now you want him banned?

Sure, when 360s are bannable since they abuse aim dressing. Or moonwalking since thats a biproduct of movement coding. or better yet, lets ban survivors for using heal tech on downed friends at gates! What, its a bug and is used for an advantage! That means its an exploit and should get them both banned. Or I could just hit the survivor and move on. But nope, gotta lose so i can complain on the forums.

Pub Stomper Blight take : Just run away, you know that the Blight has 5 rushes or? And can just rush towards you because of double speed or vial + crow. Go equip your ring and crow and abuse this childish exploit on survivors and stop defending it.

This is what happens guys when you watch video called : Removing the Hug tech will BUFF Blight

Ah yeah btw this same person created discussion that Blight doesn't need nerfs, not gonna reply to you anymore.

  • @o7o said:

    Hug tech:

    • relies on good ping
    • relies on a 50/50 collision tile meaning a tile that is both slippery and bounceable
    • only works against people who fall for it
    • helpful against bad tiles that are sometimes hard to bump logic or go through
    • every update changes collision and makes it harder to hug certain tiles you always used to be able to
    • some survivors will hide at a safe tile so it's fun catching people off guard
    • if you see a blight looking into something to bump off of, good indication they are going for a hug tech so just leave the tile
    • subjectively weaker than his add-ons, again, it only works against survivors who stand there instead of leaving

Let's also complain about Wesker hug teching then and not just Blight. I could also bring up survivors abusing bugs against Blight. Why not just fix those bugs that hurt him? Why hug tech over his busted add-ons?

    Relies on good ping

    ok

Only works against people who fall for it

So are you saying that Eternal / Elysium players are bad players? Because I just watched tournament yesterday and it worked against them, the Blight would never get hit without the exploit on some of the tiles. So your claim is literally false.

helpful against bad tiles that are sometimes hard to bump logic or go through

Meaning it's used for advantage. :)

every update changes collision and makes it harder to hug certain tiles you always used to be able to

Good, maybe players can play the Killer the way he was intended?

some survivors will hide at a safe tile so it's fun catching people off guard

    yes yes it's fun

if you see a blight looking into something to bump off of, good indication they are going for a hug tech so just leave the tile

One of the worst takes ever? You know that Blight has 5 rushes and can just rush to you when you leave the tile lmao. I feel like only PUB Stomper Blight mains have this argument.

subjectively weaker than his add-ons, again, it only works against survivors who stand there instead of leaving

Ah yes, so stay at the tile = get hit thanks to exploit, leave the tile =get hit because of his busted addons.

Let's also complain about Wesker hug teching then and not just Blight. I could also bring up survivors abusing bugs against Blight. Why not just fix those bugs that hurt him? Why hug tech over his busted add-ons?

Could hardly care about wesker hug tech, you mean crouch "tech" ? That's one of the most cringe "techs" in the existence of DBD, anybody who uses it doesn't know how to loop billy, blight, demo.

Ever since patch 7.0.0 (7.0.1 still the same issue) came out this has been happening to me via Geforce now. please fix always happens when playing so literally I play one game this happens during the game and exit game as it is way too distracting. This can't be happening for the Anniversary event...please fix before that's released! PLEASE!

Which resolution and scale on your apps are you using on your desktop?

  • @bang_tube said:

I was able to get one round in after the update with the game running optimally. Been playing with graphic settings to find a work around without lowering quality but still nothing.

Which resolution and scale on your apps are you using on your desktop?

  • This happened to me aswell, guys do any of you have a 4k monitor running with 150% scale?

If you were using 4k and 150% scale, the game was starting at 2k resolution, now it forces you to native 4k.

So if you want the crispyness away you have to sadly set the resolution by yourself to 2k now.

also same thing happened to me with the small window.

I disagree. Hug tech is also fine. It’s the most fun part of his basekit, but bump logic is superior.

Sorry to break this to you but hug " tech " is not part of his basekit, it´s a bug.

    @TonyXSplash said:

No point in trying to discuss anything with this person. They vehemently hate blight for being a better version of billy.

If you think that I don't like Blight just because he is better then no xD

    The actual reason:

1.His busted addons : C33/C21, Tag, Vial, Ring, Crow and rat.

2.His busted basekit where his tokens recharge while breaking pallet, where his fatigue is only 2.5 seconds and he gets his whole power in 10 seconds back and on top of that he is 4.6.

Billy remains mechanically hardest killer in the game, Blight does not even come close.

  • @imakepeoplehateme said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3412777#Comment_3412777

Addons aside blights exploits can't really be reasonably fixed. He is not the only killer who suffers from such problems, look at nemesis for example his whip is designed to hit survivors crouching behind windows and yet at certain windows it does not work, its inconsistent thus not intended.Oni can also flick past 90 with jerky camera movements.

Blights collision is consistent however its required. You either bump on something or you slide.Hug teching is just making the game think you are sliding. To fix blight you would have to fix collisions as a whole, and i guarantee you that will only give birth to more problems, bugs and techs being developed, maybe for different killers even that rely on a similar mechanic.

Look at the collision detection on Wesker or when Blight is looking forward, trust me, they can do it.

  • Blight mains being handheld by busted basekit, addons and exploits since 2020.

But for people with shadowborn and blight pfp it is hard to admit.

  • ok.png

It is an exploit, just because you said it isn't, because you rely on it that much, doesn't mean it isn't one.

This is not part of Blights basekit and never will be.

Keep dreaming or should I say exploiting bugs like a kid.

Tag, vial, nor speed need a nerf. There’s no justification for it.

    image.png

" no justification " Double speed is so balanced that this streamer got 1000 wins in row with it.

But I know I can't take someone seriously that loves to exploit bugs and has it in name, surprised the mods still did not change your name.

Vial + Crow is even stronger than this. :)

  • C33, Tag, Ring, Vial, Crow, Rat all of them need nerfs not just ring.

  • Asking is pointless, because no BHVR employee will give you an update on this exploit that should be bannable.

  • Imagine nerfing hardest killer in the game. And not nerfing Blight that has busted basekit and busted addons. WHAT A ######### JOKE. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • @jinx3d said:

genuine question, what makes hug tech an exploit but something like cj/locker techs arent?

Because hug tech has been confirmed to be a bug since like august 2021 by McLean himself.

Which normally would result in a ban, since it is reportable offense.

Billy's curving was an exploit, too. That's why the sensitivity is tied to controller sensitivity. Hug-teching adds a new dimension of skill to a difficult, complicated killer. It's a new level of mastery that sometimes allows for interesting hits, but is easy to outplay most of the time. Bump logic Blights are stronger than ones that try to Hug-tech.

Ah yes that's why they use only bump logic in comp! Oh wait.. pls stop Blight mains already, you'll defend any exploit of Blight and call it tech.

  • Idk why they are silent about this.

It's an exploit, it needs to go.

  • I hope they do nerf his addons, vial is busted af, the token recharge should not exist, alchemist ring, c33, tag.

I get it, the devs didn't think this killer would be that strong so they added bunch of no brain addons to the killer but times have changed and people learned how to play this killer.

We use it because it’s fun. It’s much more fun than using bump logic all the time, but it is much more punishing if you don’t land the hit.

Bump logic can guarantee a hit that you MIGHT land with a hug tech, and all of the good blights will say the same thing.

Oh so we are going to talk about the one side of this exploit that has counterplay I see, I see.

Lets definitely not talk about how it is being used on tiles to use less rushes, getting around loop faster and then using bump logic.

Naaaah lets just talk about 1 hug tech rush and then trying to hit someone on pallet.

    Cringe bug exploiting kid. :)

You both main Blight with Alch Ring and you use hug bug. That's literally a skill issue.

Yellow speed should be basekit on Spirit outright. Maybe yellow duration too. And adjust the rest of her addons to compensate. Mother-Daughter Ring/Yakuyoke Amulet should get some heavy numbers nerfs. Dried Cherry Blossom should be reworked.

For Blight, Alchemist Ring should be reworked. Compound 33 just needs the Hinder removed. Other than that, everything else is balanced.

Tell me how Adrenaline Vial is balanced, It's literally one of his most busted addons, he recharges every token in 1 second.

    I see no difference above.

Adrenaline Vial is literally just old Carburettor Tuning Guide on Blight.

  • Btw why do people bring up her killrate?

Do you realise that, new players and console players exist and they can't be good with her? (affects killrate)

That's the problem with this killrate, because it includes also console players, they can't master this killer to its full potential.

  • Yes or at least this skin in shop please.
