Ahm... As a RANK 1 killer trapper main and rank 2 survivor... No man... This childish attitude doesn't solve anything, the posts should be about "maps need reworks", "specific killers need buffs", "pipping sistem needs to be adressed", and not about "let's make each other life's misserable" threads. This is not the propper way to attract attention, cause if we as killers get heard this way, how do you think survivors will then complain about somehting?
Hate promotes hate
You know there are many posts like those on the forum and they get ignored on regualr basis, not just in General Discussions.
Reworking a map is a long ass process, buffing Killers is risky and moves attention from the possible new Killer in development which would pump sales, they know the Emblem system is extra broken but they talk about it like it's the biggest problem since release so it won't get fixed any time soon I'm afraid.
I agree there's no point in making the other side's experience miserable for the sake of it but it happens on the regular and there's no way of stopping mob mentality and its consequences in an asymmetrical game.
I also don't understand how you can be so positive about this game.
-
I have no reason not to check their friend list and decide I don't want to play against a full team, I'm sorry, guess I'll keep dodging lobbies as I see fit.
I know it's lame but I don't see the point. "Improving" in a party game is a waste of time. That lobby will find a better Killer than me.
-
Guess NOED is the new Ruin as Killers have to give up early game now.
A bit less than 40% of Survivors' objective is now given every match they don't play like headless chickens because map are terribly designed and not patrollable, good to hear.
-
Never, the new player experience must be terrible and I truly have no faith in the future of the game especially after the Q&A Stream, I don't want my friends to waste money.
-
Doesn't the lack of red stain give it away?
Also, is the bug basically built-in new Prayer Beads? If so it makes me realize how terrible that add-on is now.

Well the devs never took a closer look on why Red Rank Killers are taking OG Ruin in the first place and failed to address that, so why will I point out the obvious reason which is the Gen speed? They nerf ruin because it is annoying to baby survivors, but didn't check why they are used on the red ranks.. So to make it equal, Then switch to the nerfing on the other side too. To make the game balance.. Because even If I point out the obvious problem, The devs have no idea what I'm talking about because they themselves are not Red Rank Players.. Whether Killer or Survivor side alike..
Can't argue with that as I have no faith as well, I was just suggesting that this post emanates a weird aura since it seems to go off topic right from the title.

Because you have no idea how m1 Killers now play on the red ranks... especially with a 3-4 Toolbox Squad and yeah with Big Ass Maps..
I kinda don't, you're right, but if the problem is Gen speed you shouldn't cry about overtuned Survivor Perks, post another thread with another argument for that.
-
I dislike Gen times like most of the active forum community but the way this post is written is beyond pathetic.
-
Today I learned that while most of the game is balanced around the average Joe, the best way to look at Pig is to watch a Pig one trick that plays Pig 24/7, look at terrible boring statistics and conclude that Pig doesn't need any tweak :)
-
Corrupt only works well on Trapper and Hag imho, Pop is much more consistent and it's good on said killers too.
You are only required to hook and kick, if you are not hooking you have probably lost the match already, if you want to slow Gens down you should be willing to kick, meaning the perk does not require you to go out of your way to work as it should.
Corrupt also allows bad players to avoid 3 gens situations more often, it only helps finding your first Survivor and slows the game down just by few seconds from my experience.
-
I just can't play GF w/o Nurse's, other than that I usually go for BBQ and either Enduring+Spirit Fury or Sloppy+PGTW depending on how I want to play.
-
Easiest A of my life.
I only play Solo.
-
Queue times are more important than match quality, apparently.
-
Happened to me as well quite some time ago, guess they're bugged and instead of fixing them they are directly removing them to solve the issue from its root.
-
It's honestly hard to believe that you, as a Green-Purple rank Killer as you claim (assuming I understood that part correctly) are actually matched against Green-Purple Survivors lmao
EDIT: I guessed wrong apparently, sorry about that
-
You are correct, as long as the Survivors mess around enough and you are playing a decent Killer Ruin is not "needed".
Ruin still allowed you a little bit of breathing space when playing the role seen as more stress heavy by most of the community so it was quite good when it lasted.
Y'know, not being forced to conclude chases in 5 seconds was nice as is not always possible depending on how good the Survivor in the 1v1 situation is.
-
I agree the grind is too much but this is the opposite side of the spectrum and this suggestion will never be implemented until they are desperate to keep the game alive.
-
They won't any time soon as their balancing team is probably 4 people total and they are all busy on Billy and Bubba changes recently announced, after that who knows :)
-
I don't think a one or two game sample is enough to draw any conclusion, this post seems pointless to me.
You are only proving that on XBox you're facing red ranks (people who play a lot, not necessarily good) that DC, are left slugging and die on the ground or just run in front of your chainsaw.
I agree with the fact that Ruin nerf was a good step for the general health of the game but playing Killer on PC has always been the more stressful side of the game for me, so color me not convinced by your video.
-
I think they could be combined and still see little to no play so why not?
-
I do but now there are many other problems that need to be addressed.
You can't just tell me that I should give up on the first two or three gens, it's insanity.
-
I understand Dead Hard does not work well with the servers but having I-Frames and extending loops isn't possible with SBurst, no other Perk is at their level imho, maybe Head On which is not really comparable because it does a very different thing.
-
Favorite: Huntress
Least Favorite: Trapper
-
Are you considering lowering chase music a bit in order for killers to actually hear survivors without having an unhealthy insanely high volume?
-
I agree they need to fix GF, many times servers are messed up and I can't stalk anybody :(

I've been in a few games where new Ruin stayed up the whole match (both PTB and internal tests). It has a humongous effect on the game if it remains. It's just too much power not to be a Hex.
One thing I think people are missing is they consider themselves, their gen, and the Killer. 1v1 it would not be that good. But when Ruin affects several gens at once because there are more than one Survivor, it's can be a huge amount of regression.
If the Survivors are three-genned, its effect is really nasty. No need to kick gens while pushing Survivors away from them.
May I ask why, when chasing a Survivor, would the other three jump off the Gen and allow Ruin to have a little impact? Is hit and run that pushed now? By the time the first chase is done for the average Joe, 2 Gens are gone and the rest is usually at 0%. This new Ruin seems borderline unplayable to me and I haven't even touched the fact that it can be cleansed.
Also isn't 3Genning for a long time bannable?
-
Thank you all for your valuable inputs :)
I was kinda worried about CI forcing dumb players not to 3 Gen themself but after some thought I guess I shouldn't really think about the 3 Gen situation.
-
Celeste :)
-
I never run it, requires too much work in order to do something sometimes, I prefer running other Perks.
It's still on stronger side of the Perks I don't like.
-
The one with the flashlight or OoO.
-
I disagree, Hatch conditions could be changed a bit but I believe that would be the wrong direction.

Except I wasn't. The game is factually killer sided and I was just trying to help and enlighten the killer mains to get better.
You know what, I was about to answer to the main post but after re-reading "After just 8 stacks of Dying Light..." I'm willing to assume you are trolling and you said that just to keep your mask on, so I won't give you any more attention.
Have a nice day.
-
Baiting is against the forum's rules dude.
-
Billy will need to go around the map and grab gas tanks to power his chainsaw in order to use it.
-
@Raven014 Surge at 28% sounds insane dude, is that a typo?
-
Survivors can kinda decide how long a match will last by doing Gens.
You can't pressure 8 Gens at the same time, you HAVE to give up 1 or 2 Gens (20-40% of main objective) at the start if they want to do them, often because most killers can't patrol the map well due to speed or general map design (See recent Nurse issues I just discovered myself).
Since most people play solo, Devs can't punish Surv's mistakes too harsly, else most will stop playing; so Survs have a lot of "2nd chance" Perks and mechanics. Old MoM was where they overdid this philosophy and created something gamebreaking.
This allows an environment where any "better Survivor" can 1v1 the Killer making him lose time when "worse Survivors" can just do Gens as they require no real skill or attention. It's a mistake to commit to the "better Survivor", it's a mistake to chase because it's a game about time management not about a scary Killer that can kill you, you have many ways to fight back and you just need to know how to use them.
And, as I said, Survivors can decide the general time lapse of a match, so I believe they hold the power in this game. The only thing stopping this from being consistent are randos in solo queue straight up playing dumb or, worse, suiciding early, and that's why it's likely it won't ever be addressed.
-
Haunted Grounds or Remember Me considering what you are going for.
-
Strong perks won't help me where I'm weakest, like seeing Survivors running in corn in Farm maps.
-
The game is currently balanced around Survivors making a lot of mistakes in decision making and positioning, I would not get my hopes up until that philosophy gets addressed or changes as the attention seems to be all over the other side of the game.

Do me a favor, just play nurse. Do a blink when the basement is near, you will get sucked into it no matter where you aimed. Also try to play on "Sanctum of Wrath". Enjoy!
Oh, I do suck as Nurse, I played her only when I started and I'm proud of having 0 Lethal Blinks on the achievement, I truly can't play her, it's not my style as I enjoy stealth killers more.
I'm just trying to suggest a possible solution, maybe he likes her more than me.
-
Have you considered learning Nurse? I understand that after the nerf it's a complete annoying mess to learn but if you enjoy this game and don't like loops that could be a workaround.
-
I dig the idea to be honest. Worth testing.
-
I disagree with DS being broken, it's just overused due to solo Survivors taking the worst hook rescues of human history every other match. It could use some small tweaks to stop Survivors from feeling nearly invincible for about a minute but it's overall much healthier than other Survivor perks.
Hatch is not broken by itself, Keys break it for me. Giving a last chance to the last guy is not a bad design decision.
May I suggest you to start a new line more often when writing? Your post is kinda hard to read for me.
-
Can we stop giving attention to obvious troll accounts?
-
I read Almo's statement as "We are happy because of the internal tests and we decided to try this version on the PTB".
Still they should be more transparent and maybe address the wording used on the patch notes and their design philosophy.

They have basically already said multiple times that they don't care about what the community thinks.
They are happy with the changes and thats all that matters.
They said those statements were about an internal test build with selected players we don't know, they also said we should stop this misinformation but they won't give us any new statement about it so that might have been false and the feedback will truly be useless, we'll see I guess.
-
Am I really going to have fun as Killer with Gens this quick? Doing Gens does not require any skill so even against bad Survivors if I struggle to find them in the first 80-60 seconds or if I find a strong looper I'm often forced to lose 1-2 Gens before I even had the chance to see all Survivors or decide to ignore the strong looper and start patrolling again.
Good Survivors are better at not letting the match fall apart after the first chases, that's it.
Side note: many times people criticize "sweaty" attituted towards a game that is basically a gloryfied "horror" party game. Now people talk about getting good at applying map pressure. Should I play in a tryhardy way to get good and/or have a chance sometimes? Should I chill and watch Gens pop every 100 seconds? Should I play Survivor only?
-
At least remove the obnoxious quiet music during non-chase patrols.
-
I dislike the changes and I have no real way to "prove" my point other than going into a PTB game and genrush the heck out of the Killer.
And that kind of data won't even be looked at so I have no reason to do so.
-
Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard/Sprint Burst, one between We'll Make It/Kindred/Adrenaline/Unbreakable
Maybe Iron Will in higher ranks, I don't know if it's worth the perk slot with so many good perks running around.
