I'm bringing Oni or Billy if expecting a bar fight, Slinger has a duff leg and would slow him down.

They definitely be better for a fight but neither would seem very fun to drink with

Maybe Oni but billy would probably be pretty bad. Drunk billy would 100% kill someone

If you really wanted to nerf Sloppy, removing the increased regression modifier wouldn’t really do anything. It’s not an extra 25% total per second, it’s 25% of 7% for an extra 1.75% per second or 8.75% per second total which is barely any difference.

Fair enough. Always found it odd they added that in the first place though

I will be fine if they remove one of the effects. 2 effects are just so much at the current meta.

I agree. I’d keep the haemorrhage and extra blood pools but remove mangled.

Gift of pain can then be the mangled perk because right now sloppy is way better

  • The perk doesn’t need the increased regression it gives. The normal haemorrhage is enough

Otherwise it’s fine if a bit annoying to fight

  • Deathslinger and merchant would be fun to have around.

Merchant could pay easily and slinger could handle a bar fight

  • So brutal at 40% and fire up at up to 12 stacks (48%) That ridiculous

  • SB can be more annoying depending on how many there are. If it’s 1-2 I’m fine but 3-4 and it becomes a menace

Lithe is good but doesn’t really stand out and can be helpful for killers like huntress who can use windows for easy hits

  • @AddingAUsername said:

Yeah sure she can "chase" by forcing survivors to hold-W or get hit by literally pressing right click once in a loop (which has no downside and doesn't even slow you down). Like seriously if you use these addons she becomes stupid in chase while still being extremely easy to use compared to clown or something. I suppose it is better than holding a 3 gen for an hour but it's still not fun at all to go against.

She isn't fun to fight but id take this over a 3 gen merchant anyday

I feel like alot of the lore doesn't really fit game play. Trickster knife throwing doesn't really mess with his lore all that well. I mean he's a singer dancer right you would think that would be something in his kit.

Same with likes SM and her drones.

Trickster’s is kinda odd but knife tricks were a part of his stage show so I guess it makes sense

As for merchant her drones are mostly her impersonating the character her father made

  • I hate him but he’s not that strong just mind numbing

Tome Haddie has fought monsters ranging from Abominations with hundreds of eyes lurking in caves to Vampires that's been sealed away for a long time which can possess humans when released, She's killed people from the Black Vale & the monsters she encounters, she's gathering an army of people who can see into the bleed like her which she has named her group ''The Twelve to Midnight'', she's found remnants of characters such as Carmina and Vittorio, she's looking to stop the black vale from sacrificing the world the entity and is overall a badass.

What does Base Haddie have to make her stand out from Tome Haddie and be just as cool as her? Pretty much nothing, that's why i consider her a poser to Tome Haddie.

Also i still wanna see a tome focusing on the Haley & Jaden versions of Haddie & Jordan in their airship traveling the fog, last time we saw Haley was when she met Saku in one of the Observer Towers before skidaddling back to the Airship and left in a hurry.

I’m guessing the entity doesn’t want that Haddie in the realm since she’s so powerful.

Base Haddie has had some run ins with ravage monsters though judging by her scars. An archive could definitely expand on that and bring the 2 versions closer together

Because it's Base Haddie, Tome Haddie is the superior Haddie and it pisses me off to no end how Base Haddie was picked over Tome Haddie for the chapter.

I can understand that. I like the idea of having different Haddie’s but the to,e Haddie was pretty cool

It should be a skin for her tbh

  • @Smoe said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3414611#Comment_3414611

It's pretty easy to do that actually, it's tome just have to focus on the memories of the Ottomarians themselves, even the addons are about the objects that the people in the fold had, so it would make sense for the tome to focus on the people themselves.

Speaking of Ottomarians, i have a theory that Stamper from Dredge's story isn't the same person from Doctor's story.

You could definitely do that and it could be a very interesting tome story.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

I need more Dredge lore + his own rift.

Yeah it could use a tome alongside Haddie. Though it’s story is kinda hard to expand on since it’s story is more about otto’s cult

  • Decent ranking but what makes you think Haddie is so low? I love how she connects to the entity and had been teased in archives before launch

    Here’s mine for survivors

    F460D65A-C997-4522-B0FB-B5D46BF53256.jpeg

  • Even though I main merchant I agree giving her a tome now was stupid and only served to make people hate her more. Give her 3-6 months for changes and then you can soft re release her with her new archive and improved power

  • It’s about the same for me. Dead hard wasn’t really an issue as SM has an exhaustion add-on to hard counter it but lithe is overall a weaker perk

SB isn’t used enough to annoy me but 4 man SB squads are going to be scary (If I ever find one)

  • They are probably taking time to refine the idea because community reaction was generally negative. We might hear more about it in the anniversary stream

  • Been playing a lot of borderlands recently. Finished 3 and am currently playing 2

Also been playing Fallout new vegas. Highly recommend if you haven’t played it yet

  • They might but It’s a pretty hard perk to nerf without making it useless

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Deadlock should have been nerfed in 6.1.0 already. I dont really understand why they kept the Perk as it is, especially when they increased the base Gen time to 90 seconds.

The sad thing is that the effect in itself is probably fine, but it buffs Camping too much. Getting all Gens done in 2 minutes when one Survivor is camped is already not really possible, doing that with Deadlock adding additional 30 seconds per Gen makes it way to rewarding for a camping Killer who does not even put any effort in it to get value from the Perk.

They could make it so deadlock doesn’t activate if you have been within 16m of a hook for 10 seconds I guess?

That would probably complicate it too much though

  • Best chase is deathslinger, dredge or wesker

Honourable mention to merchant’s terror radius. It’s actually super good but her chase music sadly isn’t

  • @Zeidoktor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/374030/skull-merchant-can-actually-chase

I'll have to give this a try. My own Skull Merchant build has been Thrill of the Hunt, Devour Hope, Iron Grasp, and Deadlock/Flex Perk. Can't recall addons offhand. Idea is to go totem defense over gen defense. Thrill is used over Undying for the cleanse slowdown.

Honestly never tried a totem defence build on her. Could definitely be viable especially with devour hope

  • I don’t find him too fun personally but absolutely loathe fighting him

He’s a cold addition regardless though

  • @egg_ said:

This turns her literally into clown with occasional basekit pinky finger. I mean, you're a clown main afaik so i understand why playing her like this can be fun for you, but I still don't see the appeal

She plays very similarly but also has cigar box (tracker) and the ability to track objectives and high traffic areas

Clown’s 100% better in chase but merchant has more info/area denial

  • @Shroompy said:

honestly even without those add ons her drones can be used as a sort of anti loop similar to what Wraith can do from uncloak.

Basically forcing a drone to be hacked so you get that constant 2% speed boost, and then setting up a few drones in the center of the area of play. What this does is force the Survivors to either pre drop or take the hit, since a component thats not really mentioned about increased movement speed is also an increased lunge distance, which 5% definitely mkaes a noticeable difference.

Definitely true. These add-ons just make it way more effective.

I’ve had little issue chasing with her but my main loadouts has spirit fury enduring so that’s probably the main reason

  • @Thralfazuz said:

Just don't, choose a better killer and forget she even exists

Nah. Honestly she’s super fun when played in a more aggressive style not focusing on gens too much. I like constant info and some chase potential.

Sure I could choose a better killer but I find most the top tiers boring to play as

  • @Cynwale said:

Hacking drones isn't interesting for the moment, they'll just come back everytime the SM come back at the Generator.

They should be limited in numbers.

They can’t be fully limited as that would just force merchant to place them at loops only instead

There would be no point in placing drones before a chase as they would just get hacked and you would lose it permanently

  • I don’t mind her tbh. M1 chases are fun and longer match equals more bloodpoints (still don’t like it past 40 minutes though)

    Plus hacking drones is fun

Aura perks are not bad designed, it could just be said they have no counterplay, but who cares, they're not the free distance that sb and lithe are. Also yeah let me just equip that killer mid match, sure. Also just because it can happen once per chase barely means anything when it's as impactful as it is. Even just a basic sprint burst away from a killer gains 4.2m on them, that's 7 more seconds it takes to catch up to them, 7 seconds in which the survivor travels 28m, and 7 seconds in which the other survivors can get a total of ~23% gen progress done

The only one that is free is sprint burst but that has to be timed right or else the killer can just leave chase for someone else

  • Why would they kill switch a new killer who is also in the archives?

She not even gamebreaking. Boring yes but if that’s the case knight would’ve been kill switched since launch

  • Solo queue has been pretty rough for me after the update. Lots of killing self on hook and dc’s

However I’m used to this regardless so I don’t really care

  • Try to coordinate with your solo teammates to hack drones at the same time to deny her exposed

Other than that though you basically can’t assuming she has decent regression perks

  • Yes and it always should have. It literally only works when you get both downed and picked up and the effect only works if either you get downed ina high up area or in and enclosed space where the wiggle effect actually works

It’s gimmicky unfun and does nothing to make gameplay more fun. It encourages slugging to bleed out as well

  • @1ettuce said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3412991#Comment_3412991

I love when bad perk design is band aided by other perks and addons, also there isnt any actual counterplay to them besides just holding W to catch up but that isn't even a counter, you're still gonna take much longer to catch up which is the whole point of the perks

So aura perks are bad design then?

As for your question the counter play is either a killer power or breaking off of chase if they have too much distance. If not then just catch up since it can only happen once per chase

All the killers that counter exhaustion are Nurse, Wesker, Blight, Wraith to an extent, Spirit, huntress, slinger, Oni and billy

  • Just give him seperate bottle ammo. 4 tonic which reload normally and 1 antidote which passively recharges instead of reloading

  • I miss old Quentin tbh. He actually looked sleep deprived and had more accurate hair (Plus his P3 head had Freddy claw marks)

  • Exhaustion perks are fine at the moment. They allow survivors more options in chase and have counters you can use on killer such as fearmonger or exhaustion add-ons

I think if there was more relevancy to their inclusion in the game like a story mode then more people may be interested in playing the less popular characters. If we could play something in DBD that involved character interactions with voice lines and the such then it could increase interest across the board. All we have are the characters with some words on the screen and some voice narration within the tomes for some of them. Apart from that, DBD is just a simple objective game within small closed off maps. Maybe the DBD movie will get people more interested if some of those less popular characters are in it.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3411772#Comment_3411772

The visual design of those characters has greatly impacted their reception within those communities. The fact that survivors in DBD are just skins means that emphasis on their appearance needs to be even more focused on than a fighting game character since as you said they have more things relevant to their popularity than just looks. If survivors in DBD had unique abilities that only they could use for playing as them then people would have more reason to play them simply for a tactical advantage. If Haddie could drop kick the killer and stun them for 5 seconds I'm pretty sure a lot of survivor mains would be playing Haddie. As it stands, the most cool looking and/or attractive survivors in DBD will probably always be played more often since they are basically just skins that can use any perk in the game you have. And they can be diverse in characters like that, but the "cool and attractive" aspect of them must never be overlooked.

”Cool and attractive” is literally subjective though.

How isn’t Haddie a cool character in comparison to others? And attractiveness is subjective (Haddie is the best looking survivor imo)

My point is that when the only reason to pick your survivor main is subjective reasons then bhvr should account for that and make diverse survivors which they do. There’s no point in having different survivors at all if we just get Kate o and David on repeat

  • Yep this community sucks a lot of the time. Most people on the internet don’t realise how their words can actually affect someone and just think it’s normal because they are so used to seeing it in other communities. It’s sad

  • No need to remove gen grabs but healthy hook grabs need to go. All they do is encourage camping and a stupid game of chicken

You can doubt it all you want. Sava said it correct. I don’t use c33 unless I’m playing bulldozer blight. As he said, most survivors don’t know how to play against blight at all, and that is a large reason for not needing those addons. I just capitalize off survivors mistakes either way.

I agree in that regard. Blight is still very strong regardless of what add-ons he chooses.

C33 is still just ridiculous though an€ how it hasn’t be nerfed yet is beyond me (Apparently engravings were a bigger issue)

I would like to see (not the baby) a younger Jeff , a new outfit for my Carlos.

I really like the concept of a younger Ash, it is something they never did before

They need to rethink how cosmectics work, no wonder why nobody use their crown or mask, because default head skin are usually ugly (except Elodie or Mikaela I guess), they should allow us to put accessories on top of our "head". It's time to includes more customisation.

Also, the new Kate is ugly (I was a former main Kate until the rework), I prefered Kate when she was introduced

Jeff actually has a young skin to an extent. His 2 green rarity cosmetics are from when he was a roadie in his younger life

  • Every killer needs to have a survival score event for the survivor to get

    Dodge a hatchet? No points

Stun a wraith out of cloak? No points

Yet some killers like wesker and slinger actually have them (yet slinger is in boldness for some reason)

  • I found malthinker’s skull by far his best add-on. Just make nightfall more frequent when survivors are injured

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3411644#Comment_3411644

The point I'm making is survivors can be different from others with unique things about them but still all be as popular as other popular survivors before them. Look at some very popular fighting game characters for example. Kitana, Mileena, Sonya, Jade and Scarlet from Mortal Kombat. They are all different in their looks, personalities and stories and yet they are all very popular characters from that game. Look at Cammy from Street Fighter 6 and how people went crazy over her new look in that game. All of these characters are different and unique but they have something in common. They are very attractive and beautiful characters. I know that may not appeal to everyone, but clearly it appeals to almost everyone. Some ideas in character design just simply appeal to a lot more people than just trying to make characters that will only appeal to so many. Who was Haddie made for? The Roots of Dread DLC for DBD has a price tag on it so I'm assuming they are wanting to make a profit from it. Maybe they sold a lot of that DLC. I don't know. What I do know is I rarely see Haddie in game and hardly ever see her spoken of in a good way in the very few times people even really talk about her. So who was the target audience there?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3411659#Comment_3411659

No but you did say she was one of the most interesting characters in lore and design. The point I made was that this doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is how well she is received by the players. We don't need more diversity in cosmetic distribution. We need more characters that are worth making cosmetics for in the first place. I'm pretty sure if Haddie was as popular as Mikaela she'd probably have a lot more cosmetics by now and get them as often as Mikaela does. It doesn't make sense from a business perspective to invest time, money and resources into making content that won't give you a good return in that investment as compared to creating something that will. That is just my guess as to why Mikaela gets cosmetics more often and Haddie doesn't. Do you think its for any other reason?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3411647#Comment_3411647

Kate's popularity at launch had nothing to do with her cosmetics. She has and continues to get a lot of cosmetics BECAUSE she was and still is a popular character with a very appealing design to a lot of people. I literally got the game because of Kate. Her cosmetics were just bonus.

You’re comparison isn’t really accurate. In MK every character is a fighter with different movesets. I may not like how mileena looks but I might like playing her regardless. They are unique yes but nobody really picks their main in MK based on appearnace. They could all look the same and it wouldn’t have a major impact since their moveset is what defines them. Scarlet has her blood magic while kitana has her fans

In contrast survivors in dbd are just skins. It’s important for them to look different as that’s all they offer really. Sure Haddie might not be as attractive to the majority of the playerbase as say Kate or feng but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a fanbase or doesn’t deserve cosmetics. Sure she might not get as much and I understand that but going nearly 8 months without one is ridiculous for a character who was so new

  • I’d like them to keep it. It great for rift progress and shard grinding

  • @HugTechLover said:

I promise you, my kill rate will be the same with or without Alch ring or c33 or vial or whatever addon you think is carrying blights lol. A good portion of my hours on blight were spent either addonless or using yellow and brown recovery.

I highly doubt that. The ability to basically ignore pallets and quickly hit a survivor twice are something can somewhat do in his base kit but with C33 and Alch ring it becomes ridiculous

Not to mention C33 can even be used to track survivor due to the bloodpoints score event

  • The devs play both sides 100%. They literally need both sides to have a functional game so to even think they don’t is odd

Which one is great? I see 3 boons that are very situational and 1 that is garbage no matter what. Boons are dead. You will not see them most of the games now. Only people that like to bring off meta stuff will pick any of them from time to time.

If they extended the range of boons, they would become somewhat useful (those 3 situational), because their situation would come to play more often. As it stands, I don't see myself bringing ANY boon if I don't want to play some kind of troll game/gimmick.

Circle of healing is still a great perk overall. It allows for quick resets and works very well with coordinating teams
