I don't have problems tracking people even with iri add ons unless they use it in distance where i mostly guessed their path anyway. But if there is majority hating it, surely. I feel they can keep it rechargable but increase recharge time to like 120s, maybe more and keep the difference in the vials in fog spread, speed etc.
Depends on your killer and how quickly survivors use it.
It was very difficult tracking survivors in Demon dash for example, simply because my camera movement is limited and with time before I can cancel and turn around they are long gone.
Ranged killers are also quite bad against it, simply because they can't use their range while fog is active, unless you want to shoot blindly.
But kinda as any killer, if survivors drop it in advance while you want to check gen, it's very difficult to find them → wastes lot of time. -

nonono, you dont understand, this is a collective punishment, same demented mindset that justified balancing the entirety of the survivor meta around ~4 killers that they bring into every game against 40 killers
I mean, we have killer players on similar level, where every game they play is against comp level SWF…
Well, neither of those make sense. -

I'm sure, the rechargable item is something they want to test for future possible items. I'd agree that infinite uses is weird for this type of item. They either need to make them way stronger but one or two time use or leave them as they are but put them on like 5 recharges.
5 is still a lot, maybe with highest rarity with addons, but default should be like 2, max 3
or keep it infinite, but survivors needs to do something for it to recharge. Hard to say what it could be…

Agreed, but his cancel shouldn't be nerfed. If anything it should be incentivized, It's much more engaging than boring vault gameplay. It's damn annoying in the open but that's his strength. He forces you to position correctly and have a solid plan.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/G0LFHV4HXNID/very-cool.gif
I mean look at this. You could argue this clip in particular would've still been possible with a harsher CD, but that depends on the loop and how the survivor paths. I've hit many cool trickshots that would've missed if I were waiting any longer. (not my clip)
What Ghoul needs is a fix to kidnap, reduced injure range (8-10 meters, was 14)
And an increase to his environment range (revert nerfs including range addon)
His ranges should be separate, currently his injure and environment ranges are unified. This definetly looks like power to down survivors, so at that point he shouldn't have free hit at all… Whole premise for it is having problem with downs, but Kaneki doesn't have that..
He just shouldn't be able to ignore his dash+slide animation and cancel only after it. That would still make it viable for chase, just more difficult and double backing would actually work. -

I am fine with cancel after dash and slide ends, so he doesn't need to wait his time limit, but cancel during animation shouldn't be a thing.
Can you elaborate what you mean by that?
Blight and Wesker are in that way different that they can instantly down you with their power which is why the ghoul has short cancel. It’s his way of being able to down with his power like blight and Wesker can do it without having to cancel. He just has to do one more step than the others.
Blight and Wesker are in that way different that they can instantly down you with their power which is why the ghoul has short cance
He is supposed to have issue downing survivors, that's whole premise of free injury. Well, he doesn't have that now…
Can you elaborate what you mean by that?
Right now he can just dash near survivor and press cancel next to them. He cancels rest of dash and slide, very easy and nothing survivor can do about.
I want him to be able to cancel only after dash+slide ends → he skips just waiting before his dash window ends. He still has low fatigue, so his power would be still great for mobility with this.
But it would be harder to end his dash near survivor, because Kaneki would need to know where to aim, so slide ends nearby. It would also create valid counterplay for survivors, because if I see you grab too close, I can double back. That's just not possible now.
I also think Kaneki miss playing his dash would look very funny to survivors.Main issues of Kaneki are he is very easy and very boring to play against. I believe this change would help with both of those.

Kidnap tech I‘m fully with you, but nerfing or removing the cancel would feel awful.
If they really want to nerf that they could make it so he still slides when canceling, which would give survivors the opportunity to make him slight past them kinda like Wesker if they dodge.
nerfing or removing the cancel would feel awful
Why? It doesn't feel bad on Blight, or Wesker. I fail to see how he would be different.
Either using dash to get near survivor needs to be more difficult, because it's very easy now, or his fatigue needs to be longer.
I would say fatigue would feel worse than not being able to just fully cancel dash+slide. It would also make him suddenly way more fun to play against, which is currently main issue imo. I would love to see Kaneki just zoom past me, because he dashed too close…
I am fine with cancel after dash and slide ends, so he doesn't need to wait his time limit, but cancel during animation shouldn't be a thing.

Yeah, I have no idea why it is still that low. Quest system seems like a nerf to me…
It just gives so low I am not even bothered to read what am I supposed to do. -
My main issues with him are:
- kidnap tech
- full mid dash cancel
Get rid of those/nerf and I am fine with him.
Also validate if there is not object between him and survivor during bite…

that’s not what I’m saying, or implying. If you are obviously chasing them in the fog those things should apply yes.
isn't he talking about the bug, where killer simply can't enter chase for rest of the game? That is definetly beyond broken part of vials.
-
They are useless, if players don't know how to use them. As about anything in DBD… but good luck finding a survivor, if they just pop it as soon you get nearby (15-20 meters).
They suck a lot for ranged killers and killers with limited camera movement. -

Funny that map is so bad, noone was actually thinking it's real map on PTB. Just a placeholder to show that one loop…
-
How annoying it is depends on your killer and skill of survivors.
Sure, if survivors drop it while you are 3 meters next to them, it doesn't do much.
If they drop it as soon they see you comming, then it's unlikely to find them…
I have so far had to play against as Oni and it was very annoying, especially when I was in demon dash. Because of worse camera control, if I lost LoS of survivor, then they are just gone before I cancel and turn around….
I am definetly not looking forward it as Deathslinger. -

So are other maps. For example on Unknown map, if your teammates do cinema and statue gens, you lose. It's more about spreading gens further from each other. They migh even give some more base damage limits to killer. But solution is simply to spread gens, not problem of map itself, I'm more bothered by the colouring.
For example on Unknown map
that map is so much better than this one, especially bigger and more pallets. Uknown map is way bigger.
It's definetly problem of map, when you have free 4-gen with not strong loops nearby on one of smallest maps.
That map is simply terrible for survivors.
I like Springtrap and Unknown maps a lot, doesn't matter which side I play, but this one is just bad. -
@Elan said:

Defienetly not, the map has resources you can work with. Haddonfield can spawn 0 pallets in the middle, which means that you will have about 8 pallets total on maps.
Yeah, but there is not really insane 3-gen there anymore on Haddonfield (sure middle gens are annoying).
This map has two options for it and one of them is basically 4-gen. There is also not that much to work with around it imo.
Sure, it's debatable which is worse, but both are bad. -
Yeah, I don't really want to go there as survivor… Those 3-gens are insane.
This map is worse than Haddonfield imo. -

I think a better way to describe Franklin's is to say it was an unhealthy perk. It's strength is debatable but it can't be denied it was miserable to face. I'm glad they removed the depletion effect. I do wish they'd have reworked Franklin's to be useful in some way though. Regardless of how much I hated Franklin's I don't want to see anything nerfed into useless status.
it can't be denied it was miserable to face
I never really cared. I don't really need my item to play…

Sure, but it simply needs some valid secondary effect. Bigger aura reading change was just useless.

@HexPectoPatronum said:
They shouldn't remove them completely but nerf them.
The CD is ridiculous, you can spam it multiple times every match. At least you should fulfill a special condition to refill it (opening / rummaging a chest or something for example). If you limit it to one use per match it will be another dead item like keys, maps and crackers have been (or still are). Or you have to refill them like you craft a Flashbang: by reparing a gen for 40 % and crafting it in a locker.
I used the vials a few matches now combined with Head On, Quick & Quiet and Iron Will. The killers had hardly a chance and I easily escaped or even let my mates disappear. I think scratch marks should stay visible.
Exactly, either let them on CD, but just give it like 2-3 charges.
Or keep it infinite, but survivor actually needs to do something to refill it.
This is just so annoying to play against and you know it will never stop… -
Ok, I have to admit, they are very annoying to play against.
Sadly there is no perk to deal with it…
I have played Oni and there was just no way to track them unless they used it when I was already next to them.
I could live with it, if they would use it like 2-3 times, but that was just whole game spamming. -
I need to rename cosmetic presets more than build :D

He has 3 of them. One gives him permanent spy on game progress, second gives him undestroyable blood favor and third gives him even more undetectable.
Doors are almost touching gens, so he has it exactly on needed spots. While teleport doesn't provide free hits, you don't get much distance if you don't have sprint burst. Not even saying that to get value of glitching numbers you need doors to perfectly face you.He has best teleport from all killers. No cooldown, no switch off, not relying on maps.
I said that the fact that he can cross map in no time already makes him average, his antiloop, undetectable, add ons and etc. make him B tier at worst, mostly low A.
One gives him permanent spy on game progress
yeah, that's the one I talked about, still don't think it's busted tho. It's way worse version of Wraith addon. What makes it good is fact it's blue addon.
third gives him even more undetectable.
His undetectable is not that big deal with how loud he is. So I definetly wouldn't call this busted.
second gives him undestroyable blood favor
I would say it's not even close to best iri addons we have in DBD. It's only for 12 seconds, so doesn't do anything if survivor prerun.
Thing is, if his mobility was as good as you claim and he has antiloop + undetectable on top of it, he wouldn't be high B/low A killer. He has best teleport from all killers.
Teleport, sure. I think Dredge on most maps is on similar level, but yeah…
As mobility overall? Not even close -

You are worng, I'm sorry. The main strenght is how often he can cross 126m in 3s. No mobility killers spend 1min going there and he has no cooldown on teleport, while having some insanely busted teleport related add ons.
while having some insanely busted teleport related add ons
He has 1 busted addon on it.
The main strenght is how often he can cross 126m in 3s
He can't do it from anywhere, he needs to go to the door and is limited to teleport on different door. That takes more than 3 seconds… Survivors know about it and can also use his door to travel.
Not really that insane compare to actually good mobility killers like Billy, Kaneki and Blight. No mobility killers spend 1min
So he has insane mobility when compared to killers with no mobility…

If Franklins was not a bad Perk you would have seen it far more often. But its Pickrate was already low, it is not like a Metaperk or popular Perk was nerfed. IMO the main reason for the complaints is that a Killer Perk got nerfed, not that a good Perk got nerfed.
Even against Lobbies with 4 Items you were always better off with another Perk than Franklins. Let alone that it was not even good against most Items:
- Medkits —> Yeah, it was okish, but Mangled and Hemorrhage are universally better (even when no Medkits are in play). And it did nothing against Syringes anyway.
- Toolboxes —> Were mostly used up when the Killer arrives with Franklins.
- Flashlights —> Eh. Lightborn is better, but even then, not really worth equipping either for Flashlights. Flashlight-User are usually good for the Killer, since they are less efficient.
- Keys and Maps —> Obviously sucked.
It didn't have that low pickrate tho, higher than Unforeseen or Infectious Fright, which are very good perks in my opinion.
The only thing is it wasn't good for ANY killer, but there definetly were killers, where it was solid option. Just by that it can't have high pickrate, but that doesn't mean it's a bad perk.
There are strong perks, which can be used only by few killers. I don't think Rapid brutality is weak perk, but it can be used by like 3 killers…
There are better perks, if all survivors have same item, but Franklins was only perk to deal with any item. That's quite a big difference in my opinion. -

Franklin's was a bad perk. I wish they had made it useful, but it isn't a big deal.
It wasn't bad perk on specific killers. It's fine, if you didn't like to use it, but it just wasn't bad perk.
It was quite good on Wraith and Hag, because those killers regularly drop their chase. They simply can't commit to all of their chases, that's good way to lose…
I often played Franklins when I have seen 4 items as Wraith, didn't even play Weave for it. It was better than Sloppy imo.
Then Franklins for decent with Weave on any M1 killer. Weave is so much worse now, because of this nerf. -

Pretty sure the audio thing is a bug, but as someone who mains Dredge and knows how utterly map dependent he is… I honestly think Springtrap (and any killer who has their power-specific item placed near gens) is a lot better off with their teleports.
Shelter Woods, for instance, has 8 lockers throughout the entire map. The Game only has two sets of lockers on the entire upper part of the map. Ormond has one half of the map that only has a single set of lockers in it. It's sad :(
Sure, there are maps where Dredge is going to be worse, but also several, where there are good locker spawns. On those I would say Dredge is better in my opinion, especially during Nightfall it's not even close.
Pretty sure the audio thing is a bug
Maybe, but it does exist right now and display change on door is intended in my opinion, which let's you prerun quite a lot.

Yes. You do need to actually down people and not just camp items.
You didn't even need to camp item. Just 1 second was enough for medkit to deny full heal (unless addons were used).
Camping item was definetly valid strategy for Wraith, or Hag. I don't see anything wrong with it, it was kinda funny in my opinion to bait survivors on it.Gifts of Pain is solid perk, but it's definetly not a replacement for Franklins.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3972254#Comment_3972254
I'd just use Gift of Pain since that not only slows down gens and healing, but also encourages spreading pressure.
That's not really what Franklins was for…
Gift of Pain doesn't do anything, if you drop the chase and then survivor is free to selfheal. Also Franklins was not just to deal with medkits.
There is not an alternative for what Franklins was doing for the killers. -
RIP Weave Attunement (except maybe Twins and Legion)
I think Franklin's is now just useless, because it doesn't do what killers wanted it to do. You can't use it to deny use of the item, not even bait survivors on the item. Survivors don't need to return for it quickly anymore.
Majority of players didn't use it, so it doesn't change that much overall. More impactful is basically the knowledge there is nothing killer can do it stop survivors from using their items. We have seen it several times in past, where perk nerf should have not affect majority of players, who did not use the perk, but the kowledge the perk got nerfed changed how players played overall.
So killers will be more frustrated now, when facing 4 items and survivors don't have to worry about bringing whatever items they want.
Frankling was not used that much, but it was an option you don't have anymore. -

Springtrap is defienetly not weak. He's above average. He has great zoning, insane map mobility, awesome antiloop and one of most busted add ons. The term "weak" killer suits about 5 current killers in roaster (Pig, Myers, Trapper, Skull Merchant and Doctor).
His map mobility is not that insane, simply because survivors can tell you are teleporting and often can even see where, then simply prerun…
I would say it's same, or slightly worse than Dredge mobility. Far worse than Kaneki, Blight, Billy… -

Says the guy who crys windows not activating in chase is useless and deactivating DS/Off the record against when fully healed against one shot killer is annoying. The purpose of one shot killers is to get faster downs but requires some preparations. If you can’t play without these perks, that’s a you problem. Couldn’t be me kekw. And who said anything about “too strong”??? Tisk tisk tisk.
windows not activating in chase is useless
Well, it's true… I can understand limiting range, that's not that big issue, but it kinda loses purpose not working during chase. It would definetly be useless perk.
deactivating DS/Off the record against when fully healed against one shot killer is annoying
Using DS/OTR against Billy etc. would force you to stay injured after being unhooked, even if the killer is not nearby at the moment, which seems weird to me.
Also massive nerf for We'll make it, where it's easy to heal before killer returns, but I fail to see the reason OTR/DS should stop working, when killer still goes for tunnel upon return. And who said anything about “too strong”
If they are not too strong, then there is no reason to nerf them and it comes to back to nerfing popular perks with sole reason of them being popular, which is simply bad idea.
-
well never got injured because I used the pools while my teammates ran her fully infected and most got downed because of it now
I would say you are the one who played it wrong and I would complain a lot about it, if I were in your game.
You don't heal until you are dead on hook and at that point everyone should start heal, but healing from start is simply bad idea.
-
So what can work to befriend the killer:
- donate item
- roleplay (bartender, cashier) can work on some maps
- play for them (bardic inspiration)
- do something funny with Pebble, or Plot twist
- trust fall (drop to them if you are on high ground and they stare at you)
- boop the snoot (Pig, Dracula, Xeno)
Also possibility is to simply do something silly, I like staring at killer from behind the corner (Jeff painted face). So you could say Ghostface roleplay.
If you can "hoard" several items, then bring killer to it and crouch next to it, or even better play with Bardic inspiration, it can work very well. We have done it with Christmas theme skins. Usually like 4/5 killers then let us leave. -
I would get behind comparison of Ghoul making Legion irrelevant, but Springtrap is not really strictly better than Huntress.
Huntress definetly is better than Springtrap in several scenarios. She can handle multiple survivors way better for example and I think her hatchets are overall way easier to use on medium range.

That simply doesn't mean they are too strong and needs to be nerfed. -
I enjoy playing both sides. Most of my survivors matches are either soloQ, or Duo.
You just need to have correct expectations and don't take it seriously. -
WoO would be useless with this change.
DS, OTR deactivate when healthy would be very annoying against instadown killers…
Pop at 10% would be a joke…

I don't think there is currently perk that would need a nerf. Rather give some buffs, so new perks are relevant. Sadly most effects are simply beyond saving. -

I honestly think that her 1.0 version with 3 gen limitations that been done would be the best option now
I would happily accept that, tbh. With the anti 3-gen mechanic in place things would be okay, I would say.
Not really, you would have rise in totem builds instead, which I would say vere almost equally problematic.
I have played a lot of games using Devour hope on her and it was near impossible to remove.
There was a reason why the whistle addon from Demo was removed, because it basically did same thing. -
Ghoul - very boring and easy killer
Nurse with Predator (and other chase aura reading) - it makes Nurse so easy to play without much of a counterplay
Myers with Thumbstone piece - it's just so cheap imo -

You comparing Nurse and Blight to Ghoul is a bad argument. Like i said, Ghoul can't down people in his power, Nurse and Blight can. Not only that but 2 of those 4 killers you mentioned is map dependant like Blight and Ghoul. My argument is that most players in this game are bad on both sides therefore it's not an issue but we already know that Ghoul is getting his 18th nerf it's inevitable.
Ghoul can't down people in his power,
Yes, he can. He can use his power to get easy down on survivor, I would count that…
Unless you want to tell me, Spirit can't use her power to down survivors?
Ghoul's vault can down survivors, so it's not even technically correct. -
