Does the support team work also in home? I still didn't get an answer
It depends on what part of the support team you're referring to. Some, like the ACM team, work from home year round. Others work in an actual office (separate from the BHVR office), so they may be impacted differently.

What if the BHVR team can't work because of the virus. So we are just stuck with the game as is. O.o
Though I'm totally down for double BP.
Most of us are working from home for the time being. Things might be a little slower for a while as we adjust, but it should only have a minimal impact on the game (we even released the hotfix on Tuesday as planned in spite of everything going on).
No worries, we're still working on the game.

From the compendium, alongside the ability to earn bloodpoints and lore as you state. Are players also able to obtain completion charms by getting to the epilogue? or are these only available whilst the tomb is live?
The charms at the end of the Tome levels can be earned at any point, but any of the charms in the Rift can only be earned while the Rift is active (for now, at least).
-
It is on the todo list. It basically has to do with the way interactions are handled on dedicated servers. You see them as in the interaction (unhooking), but on their end, they're already done unhooking and can no longer be grabbed. We're planning on revisiting interactions as a whole when we get the chance, and grabs are going to be a part of that.

I understand this, will an update come after the rift is closed? Or will it come 1-2 days after the rift is closed?
Ah, I see what you mean now.
Not necessarily. It's typically a few weeks in between Rifts, but the exact time can vary.
-
Assuming there aren't survivors near the hook, the likely won't pip. They'll lose pretty much all of their chaser if they're camping and no survivors are nearby, and if the survivors are smart about it and do generators, they'll get hardly any points towards their other emblems too.
So the short answer to that question is: If they are camping in red ranks, they're not going to pip unless the survivors let them.

If Rift Fragments were still to come, then there would be no reason to buy the rift level with real money. This is really well thought but there is a situation that I do not understand. I'm not sure if the rift closes after 14-13 days, I haven't entered the game today. Will there be an update immediately or will it uptade 1-2 days after it closes?
The game does not need to update for the Rift to close, it happens automatically at a set time.
-
When the Rift closes, the only thing that changes with the Tome is that the challenges no longer award Rift Fragments. You can still do the challenges at any point for bloodpoints or lore.
A new Rift does not start right away. The next one starts around the time of a mid-chapter update, give or take a few days. The time in between is a grace period with no Rift, where you can go back and work on older challenges or just relax and forgot about the Rift altogether.

If their dedicated servers are in the right areas that shouldnt be a problem. Ive never had anyone on a London based server who didnt have a half decent grasp of english.
There are 24 official languages in Europe and two server locations (London and Frankfurt). Although there's probably a lot of shared languages, there's still absolutely a chance that the people you're playing with do not speak the same language as you. The same would go in other places as well. The NA East server might get people speaking French from Quebec, English from America, and Spanish from Mexico.
In any case, even if everyone does speak the same language, you can't be guaranteed that everyone will have a mic. Ideally you'd be able to disable voice chat as well if you wish, and I'd definitely be one of the people who turns it off.
-
That would definitely be a new one to me. I would recommend making a bug report for that: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
If you happen to run into that problem again, it would be greatly appreciated if you could grab a clip of it as well.
-
For what it's worth, that only works as well as the other survivors let it work. If you end up tunneling that guy through a BT or two, the other three healthy survivors are going to have nothing to do but generators. As long as they don't hang around trying to be a hero, those generators will be done by the time you do tunnel that one guy to death.
-
No, it's entirely random. I'll often get the exact perks I want when I'm P0, but then when I prestige, they're nowhere to been seen. Or I'll get meta perks back to back (Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, BT, Adrenaline)... as someone who barely ever touches meta perks.
-
I do, and from what I see playing as survivor, a lot of other killers do as well (been running Kindred & Open Handed recently so it's really easy to keep track of). What I find more often than not is that my teammates or the survivors I'm going against are way too altruistic and unhook the second the killer walks away, so at some point they rightfully start to play more defensively and expect someone to go running in for the unhook.
There's definitely some people out there who camp no matter what, but I've noticed that most of the time, it's because people keep sprinting in the second they leave and force the killer to camp.

I feel the exact same way with iron will. I go to try and do a scratch mark duke and as soon as I do it I recognise my character is grunting in pain.
I feel your pain. I'll sometimes sprint over to a locker and then walk away to fake a Head On and make them check it, only to realize that I'm still loudly groaning and they can hear me from a mile away.
-
I usually feel that way about Head On or Any Means Necessary. I got so used to having Head On at one point that I ended up planning my chases around it, and then whenever I wasn't using it I would realize I just put myself in a terrible position and I'm now going to get hit because I forgot that I'm not using it.
And a single tear runs down my cheek whenever I'm not using Any Means Necessary and I see a good pallet just sitting there.
For killer, it's probably Deerstalker. I take it for granted when I'm using it, but the second I take it off I miss having it.
-
That's not the case at all. There's 195 countries in the world, and only 21 survivors - there's just no conceivable way to represent every single country with only 21 survivors. It's always possible that survivors of different nationalities could be added down the line, the existing cast is fairly diverse already.

There's no getting unbanned from the anti-cheat? don't they have power? :/ confused
You would have to appeal an automated ban through Easy Anti-Cheat, but we wouldn't be able to step in and lift it for you. Their answer is final in that case.
-
We do not manually ban people for changing their perk or character icons, but since you are modifying files, you risk triggering the anti-cheat. If you are automatically banned by the anti-cheat, your ban would be out of our hands and we would be unable to help you.

you keep saying it’ll be increased why not enable mouse and keyboard?
That's a different story altogether. I wouldn't be against it personally, but there's a lot of people who feel as though they would be at a disadvantage against people on a keyboard + mouse.
-
There's actually a very simple answer to this. The Deathslinger was built with a new modifier in mind that allows us to easily tweak his ADS sensitivity. Meanwhile controller sensitivity is something that is grandfathered in from back in 2016. Some things like the Hillbilly's chainsaw emulate a controller for turning, and simply increasing the maximum sensitivity would mean that the Hillbilly could suddenly turn way more. In order to increase the maximum sensitivity range, we would need to go through and update anything using it to make sure that it doesn't break something.
The controller sensitivity increase is still on the way, though, and it is actively being worked on.
-
I would somewhat agree with that. I look at slugging as a high risk for high reward. It can pay off big time, but it can also backfire and cause you to lose everything. With a hook, even if the people on the hook get rescued, they're a third closer to death. If I slug someone and there happens to be another survivor nearby to pick them right back up, that 30 second to a minute long chase can be completely undone in ~16 seconds. In the same situation but with hooking, sure they'd get them back up even faster, but at least they'd be one step closer to dying.
Anywho, I'm right there with you. Too much of either will backfire. It's best to mix it up and be a little unpredictable.
-
It's on the way. There's different processes for releasing updates on each platform, so sometimes the release timing can vary. We're hoping to have it out as soon as we can.
-
That's just a bug fix, not a nerf. You're locked into the animation at that point, you can't cancel the hook and go for that other guy.

If it hasn't been suggested yet, how about suggesting it to the powers that be?
The worse thing that can happen is they say no.
Discount the game or make it free for a limited time.
Discount cosmetics/chapters.
Add double blood points for a limited time.
I could pitch the idea their way, but I can't make any promises.
-
That wouldn't be an option. There are times where you do legitimately need to leave, and asking people to go through task manager, shut off their internet, or restart their PC/console when they are legitimately stuck in a match is not an option. If you really want to leave a bunch of matches, pressing closing the game or shutting off your internet isn't going to make a difference. You'll likely still be timed out by the time you can re-open the game and get back in.
-
We do issue bans for excessive insults. If you report them through the in-game report system, it'll send a report with the chat log to our ACM team to review. I can confirm as one of the people who used to handle those reports that they are used.
As for things outside the game (messages on your Steam profile), we cannot enforce those. You'll have to report those directly to Valve, or whatever other platform it happens on.
-
I don't think that's a problem with the perk itself. You don't need to heal yourself once with it for that challenge, you only need to heal another survivor once. If it took you ten games to heal another survivor, that just means you didn't heal anyone for the first nine games. That's got nothing to do with the perk.
I actually like it from time to time myself. Slap it on with We'll Make It and you can unhook a survivor, heal them, then get healed yourself all within the span of ~16 seconds. That's pretty nuts.
-
This is just a theory and I obviously can't say for sure without copious amounts of research, but I feel like a big part of that is because as time goes on and more and more survivors are added, most people have just found a survivor that they like. Back when the game first came out and there were only four survivors, you might not be too crazy about any of them, so a new survivor that's more up your alley would totally be worth switching to.
It's way harder to dethrone a favourite, though. I already like Dwight and Nea, for example. For me to switch to another survivor, I would have to really like them. I'm willing to bet that with a cast of 20 (now 21) survivors, most people have already found their Dwight/Nea – especially when they've gone the extra mile and started collecting cosmetics for them.
I can see the grind part too, although I don't think it's nearly high enough to stop you from playing the survivor you really want.
-
Myers is somewhat of a blank slate. You can go super stealthy with things like M&A, or chain multiple downs back to back with Infectious Fright. And of course there's always the old Scratched Mirror. He's simple, but there's a lot of different ways to play him. He's also got some pretty decent perks.
Oni is more of brute force kinda' guy. There's a little less variety to how you can play him when compared to Myers, but if you're looking to zoom around the map and hulk out every once in a while, I'd recommend him. There's definitely a higher ceiling for Oni than there is for Myers.
TL;DR: Depends on what you're after. Myers has different playstyles, Oni lets you go fast and smash. Both are fun in their own ways.
-
The rarities were originally changed to help make sure that you have a roughly equal chance of getting all of the perks, without some being significantly more rare than others. It's also got two other nice little benefits:
- You end up spending less on perks with the way things are priced in the bloodweb now.
- It's easier to find the perks you want in your inventory since they're spread between rare and very rare, rather than a bunch of rarities.

Isn't Haddonfield that? (Granted it's more a street than a town, so I understand why that doesn't feel like enough).
I'd actually really like a more city-like landscape, with sky scrapers and stuff off in the distance. A properly made city skyline at night can look really beautiful, yet a city that's also abandoned can look both beautiful -- and eerie.
I really like city landscapes. Planning the design of a city and trying to make it feel and look like a genuinely real place, then trying to incorporate the actual level design into this "real place" so it felt as genuine and authentic as possible was actually my favorite part in the designing of my Mirror's Edge map.
Sorta', but as you mentioned, it's a very long and straight one, and it's all houses. I always imagined a variety of buildings. Maybe a small gas station, a post office, a garage, a motel, etc. If it were a crossroad type shape, you could also do some things with the space behind the buildings.
-
I've always wanted a really small town, like the ones you'd see at a crossroad in the middle of nowhere. Something like you'd see in who knows how many classic horror movies. Granted, that sorta' happened with this past chapter, just with a wild west theme to it.

It's just a small hotfix to fix missing Auric Cell packs: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/156-3-6-0a-hotfix

We cannot confirm anything one way or the other yet. We know that you guys are interested in crossplay and crossprogression, but we cannot say whether or not that will be possible.
-
If they're camping and it's backfiring, that sounds more like they're shooting themselves in the foot more than anything. Gun puns absolutely intended.

For the fire up one, what if the speed was progressively removed upon getting a hit? Ie one stack of speed (or the entire amount) is removed upon getting a hit/down. That or decreasing the speed increase. Something to allow the killer to "catch up" and begin a snowball persay if there in a bad place within a match.
For insidious I find this true and an acceptable point, however m/a also has the benefit of enlarging the terror radius (in a chase) and fov whilst searching. That being said how would you personally make it more unique? I would genuinely like to see more ways to "become a stealth killer in the game" for other killers, with minimal requirements. But then I guess I have m/a for that.
As for noed, that's fair even if I personally believe it to need some adjustment (not for being too powerful, but as for it's usage as a crutch.) Would very much make a nice standalone perk (though if added as a standalone perk it would be deathly frightening with noed still in the game!)
Thanks for the feedback though!
In regards to Fire Up, I'm not sure how much that would change. Ultimately if the killer starts running super fast and you get hit, you're going to feel cheated whether he loses that speed afterwards or not. Given that the speed only last 30 seconds, it's not very likely that they're going to go on a rampage and down everyone with it, it'll just feel like a cheap hit or down for the survivor you're currently chasing.
-
That change for Insidious would be a little nutty. You can already get a very small radius on some killers with just Monitor & Abuse. If you stacked this with it, you'd be able to turn just about any killer into a stealth killer. In any case, it's basically just stealing M&A's thunder at that point, I don't think there's enough to set it apart.
Fire Up I think might be too much. I can't see how you could possibly play around someone moving at 5.2m/s, and I don't think you should ever expect the other survivors not to do gens because someone's being chased.
As for the NOED one, that's a neat idea. Though I don't think it needs to replace NOED, you could probably just cut out the speed part and make it its own perk.
-
That may just be a visual bug. Sometimes, very rarely, it'll show your rank as having not reset at all. If you restart the game, it should update to the correct amount. I went ahead and tested it myself and I went back one colour range as expected.
-
I do think it's a little early to make that sort of call, since we're only two days out from the release, but just so it's clear, The Deathslinger does not have aim assist.
As for The Doctor, I would suggest hopping in a locker if you think he's about to use Static Blast. You won't get shocked while you're in a locker.

It's in beta right now. The mobile team is still working on adding new features and getting it ready for a worldwide launch.
-
It might not be his terror radius you're noticing. He's got a base 24m radius, and it's fairly normal. It'll have the heartbeat and everything.
It might seem weird for a few reasons:
- If they're using Monitor & Abuse, that'll bring them down to 16m. Chases start at 12m, so there's not much room between being in their terror radius and being in chase. It might ramp up really quickly.
- He also has add-ons that change his terror radius when aiming down sights.
Do either of those sound like what's happening?

Why don't you guys add an option to lock the lobby or something? What if I want to stay online on steam because I still want to message friends and stuff and I just want to play survivor without my friends able to forcible join me causing my long queue time to reset?
I wouldn't be against that, but you can already do exactly that by going invisible. They won't see you as online, but you can still send and receive messages like normal. If the idea is to not hurt their feelings by telling them "I don't want to play with you", that might even service you better since they'd probably ask you if you wanted to play if they saw you online, but set to private. If they're really persistent about joining you and aren't getting the memo, they likely wouldn't stop there.
