I agree that it should be changed somehow. Feels like it's there just so killers can camp survivors...yeah I know, then the killer isn't protecting the gens but idc it's annoying when you see a wraith or nurse just wanting 1 kill.

Not really, it would be your job to make sure the killer is far enough for you to open the hatch and it allows the killer for more room to manoeuvre, rather than going back in forth between the gens and the hatch. Needing to be almost on top to close it. It also means perks like throwing pebble would get more use during this phase.
Secondly, it could be like an exit gate opening. Meaning, it retain the charge when the survivor stop working on it. Bc honestly the killer will never be able to stop you from using the hatch if they have to be that close and on the other hand, increasing the range would mean no chance for the survivor. That's why I would prefer a contest of stealth and mind games, rather than trying to balance in-game mechanics for both sides.
Finally, I feel it could creat imbalance for characters like; the hag, the nurse, the wraith, the cannibal, leatherface and the spirit. Since they will be able to close the hatch almost any time you try to use it. -
Oh wait got an idea; what if the killer can close the hatch ? If the survivor wants to use it, they have to re-open it/giving an audio and visual warning to the killer.
Kinda like when you open it with the key but without needing an actual key.
In practice, the killer close the recently spawned hatch and is free to go patrol the gens. Meanwhile, the survivor tries to open the hatch (slower if they are injured) or do the gens that are left. Depending of cours, on the killer's location and behavior. -
I honestly don't know. I feel like this is just going to force camping...I mean what's worst than getting grab by the killer as you jump in ? The hatch closing. Especially on maps where the hatch can spawn right next to the exit gates.PLAVT said:

Take it further...what if he was able to "teleport" throught the lockers ? This could be a kinda cool way to move around the map, no ? Like, when entering a locker he can teleport to any other lockers nearby by simply looking in that direction. I think reducing the numbers of pupets to 3 would be a good nerf, yes. So you can still defend 3 gens with the pupets and try to protect the others yourself. 5 pupets would be a bit much imo just bc there's 8 gens on the larger maps so blocking 5 seems a bit OP. Especially end game when there's only a few left to do. I really like the idea of a puppet killer tho!

Great ideas! I think being a killer main helps take in account balance, at least that's what I try to keep in mind. P.S maybe add a faster item consumption for (risk taker) ? I'm thinking if used with (botany knowledge), it may be a bit OP. I would make it so it negate item consumption efficiency from that perk.

Lore wise the fire is heavily implied to be a sort of manifestation of hope. About your next question; yes it would be cutting pieces of woods but not necessarly bring it to the fire it could just be like doing gens. Although I'd like the idea of bringing wood pieces to the campfire. Maybe as soon as you're near, it add the woods to the fire, making camping useless.
Last but not least the end game.
If survivors got enough wood (win) and manage to stay alive until a timer runs out; all hooks break, the fire ignite, a growling can be heard and it goes to the stats screen.
From the killer perspective he just go to the stats screen.
If the survivors do not bring enough wood (lose); a giant dark claw like the one on the hooks appear in the sky, all survivors are downed and can be picked up by the killer for extra points on the hooks. They are all revealed to the killer.

I'm not upset and give you the benefice of doubt but think about it next time. I'm probably not the only one who think this is kind of unfair.

Tbh I find it a dick move that instead of one discussion showing new perks. You decided to do one each to show nothing but your posts on this section...if you say it wasn't for this purpose I straight up don't believe you. Then you shouldn't be able to see what I bring into the game. I can see your perks once dead...big deal! You see what everyone has equipped (med kits, tool boxes, keys) before the match even start and can act/build accordingly. So what if I see that you have iron grasp and nurse calling once I'm dead ?

Ignore generators unless your team is getting rolled. Focus on breaking hooks to 99%. Once you are confident that you have gotten all of the hooks you will need to quickly run around and break ALL OF THEM as fast as you can. You will want to do this hook purge at one of two times:

Doing this denies the killer all of their hooks for 3 full minutes. This makes wiggling free more successful at the trial's most critical moments. -

It could be in the form of new tools: lantern (shimmering light), ritualistic knife (dark presence) and a cook book (Grandma recipes).
If used by other survivors they take the form of passive buffs: totem cleansing speed, the ability to carve 3 runes during a game and a blind effect when hit but with a maximum amount of usage.
In that order of thought, if you have the perks in relation to the item, it gives bonus effect similar to selfcare/botanist/saboteur, affecting med kits and tool boxes.
