Basekit BT doesn't even last that long. For this scenario to happen the way you are describing it you weren't that far from hook.
Try not proxy camping next time.
Ah yes, more 'Try not doing anything that could help you win. Allow us to name it and shame you'.
Again; returning to a hook ain't 'proxy camping'. That's a BS, made up phrase by salty Survivors.

I guess my question is why are you racing back to the hook when someone is unhooked? It sounds like you were proxy camping anyway, otherwise that would be a ridiculous strategy. Because if you were no where near the hook during an unhook, you would waste so much time trying to get back there to potentially hit the unhook survivor (which let’s be honest that is what you were really going to do) or their saver.
Because Survivors tend to heal under the hook.
Because I could chase the unhooker, as I know where he is instead of hunting for the other 2 Survivors.
Going back to an unhook is not 'proxy camping'. Or are you implying I have to ignore unhooks?

...No, dropping a Survivor should not be a perk. What a horrid idea.
If the Killer dropped your friend; this means Survivors can pick him up. Killer camping him? Go do gens. Or are you going to next demand slugged, camped Survivors teleport across the map for a free pickup? 🤦♂️

I hope that BHVR eventually adds an interactive spectator mode, a "spirit state/echo" for deceased Survivors that plays a role in opening/Locating Hatch. Let Survivors run around the Trial and do stuff when Sacrificed for BP as well, of course not interact with the objects that "Living" Survivors or the Killer can interact with. (Or see the Killer or non-Sacrificed Survivors).
Could try to integrate a tutorial mode there by having AI revenants/goobly mooglies chasing spirit Survivors in this Warped Trial.
Maybe have some of those revenants bleed into the Trial and chase Living Survivors if the Killer has too large a disparity between generators completed and Hooks/Kills.
Being able to tell their friends where the hatch is for an EZ escape would be BS and unfair. The Killer does not get anyone tell him where it is, so why should Survivors get a guardian angel guiding them to a free escape?

This can fixed so easy just add a behaviour score 1-100 if killers tunnel camp and slug they get flagged as toxic and ppl can dodge the lobbys with that specific person same goes for survivors t-bagging bming flashlight clicking etc. If you wanna play this game for fun just dodge the toxic lobbys and just let the those ppl go against their own kind, at some point they will stop doing that seeing that they will be confronted with a endless wave of toxic players (Dota2 has this system implemented and it does wonders, nice friendly ppl get matched with others that fit that criterion and same goes for the other side toxic ppl get matched against others that act the same). And for those who are high and mighty about winning at all costs in this game keep in mind this game does not have a ranked system therefore it is considered a casual game, you get zero benefits from being a ######### person just so you can meet the win condition that literally has no reward behind it.
Rofl. This would be abused:
- Killer killed you first? Give him a low score.
- Survivor ran you for 3 gens? Give them a low score.
Hilariously bad idea to give the players the ability to punish their opponent for made-up rule infractions like camping, tunneling, flashlight clicky, and t-bagging.

Only thing that will make me tunnel.
BT Body Block = Go back on hook.
It makes me laugh when they go for the body block and I just sit there and wait until they frantically run around realizing I’m just going to wait out the BT.
Yeah. I just hate being screamed at like I'm breaking some rule after they bodyblock.
It's like they legit think 'I can prevent the Killer from chasing someone and he has to let me run away after, or he's a tunneler! No way this can backfire!'
Plan backfires.
Survivor: Incoherent screaming.

The hit cooldown is 2.7 seconds, if you hit someone before they begin unhooking it is almost impossible for the unhooked survivor to bodyblock for the survivor that unhooked them. Unless the unhooker has unhook speed, but even then it isn't easy.
What's more common is killer either slugging the survivor that unhooker and running straight for the unhooked survivor to down them after 10 seconds, or just not bothering to hit the unhooker at all, only to instantly hit the unhooked to cause Deep Wounds and deny OTR and DH.
What does this have to do with what I said at all?
I'm talking about when I go back to a hook after an unhook, and the unhooked Survivor bodyblocks with BT, then acts like I was toxic for downing them.
Adding some hypothetical situation that does not even apply to my post is kind of weird. You make it sound like bodyblocking never happens, which is incorrect.

Diablo from the Diablo games.
I'd love to log in as a Survivor and hear 'Not even death can save you form me!'

Please do not report people who DC, they already receive a matchmaking ban, no need to flood Support with unnecessary reports.
Thank you.
Oh, fair enough. I always figured reporting for DCing was more likely to bring it to game-moderator's attention. Apologies.

At least with the current situation matchmaking isn't getting turbo borked by having a massive amount of players in timeout scenarios. This also doesn't account for the times when you absolutely should have the choice to get out of the game with no fault. It ultimately wouldn't do a single thing to discourage the action you're seeking to discourage, but would greatly increase the likelihood of people turning around and either hard DCing or actively sabotaging the game in other ways.
You're talking about adding a punishment mechanic that while it seems localized has a pretty substantial knock on effect to every other survivor on that team due to now having a player who is less likely to be helpful overall on top of now being actively impaired in a way that they can even resort to just finishing the game efficiently to leaving.
We will have to agree to disagree.
Because, the way I see it; what's the difference between a player throwing/DCing, and a player hook DCing? The throwing/DCing player can be reported. Whereas a Hook-DCer gets away with it while STILL ruining the game for everyone else.
So I see removing hook DCing as 100% a benefit to the game, as it removes those ruining the game. Plus; Are you really saying matchmaking would be WORSE because it would remove quitters from the pool? You'd rather play with quitters?

You still wouldn't solve the problem you're seeking to solve you would just make people actually DC which arguably is much worse in the long run.
Not really. Because actual DCing has a punishment and can also be reported.
Whereas Hook DCing is an exploit that dodges the punishment and is not reportable. So this flaw needs to be fixed. We don't allow it to continue just because people will normal-DC. That's a horrible argument, no offense.

Survivors were basically telling Killers 'Play off-meta sometimes! Killer META is boring!' and 'Stop using Nurse and Hag and Legion and Blight! They're boring!' and 'Stop bringing gen regression perks; they're boring!" And 'Stop camping, tunneling, and slugging! It's boring for us!'
Basically, Survivors were saying 'Stop trying to win so we can have fun!' and 'Killers winning is boring!'
So Killers replied with "Your fun is not my priority". Basically saying 'Why should I try to lose to make you, my opponent, happy?'. And Survivors hate it.
