Sure, why not. Representation doesn't affect gameplay so it doesn't hurt anyone.

Spiral isn't bad, it's just a different genre. More of a spin off
I've seen alot of people say they really enjoyed Spiral but I hated it. It honestly didn't even feel like a Saw movie. With Saw movies, things are never as they appear and even going in knowing that I still walk away surprised. It's what I enjoy about them. With Spiral, it was just straight forward and predictable. I left feeling like, was that it?

Agreed! Those types will always be around lol. Sadly, a good killer will see this and just sort of follow them so it keeps happening.
WoO just seems way too low power for an experienced player to need over other perks. Almost ANY other perk.
Maybe its a flex. Maybe? lol
WoO for experienced players is less about map knowledge and more about knowing which pallets your team mates have used. Recent map reworks tend to have less pallets, more unsafe ones, and more deadzones. Also it's normal that as more popular perks are nerfed, less popular ones rise up to take its place. So it's probably saying something that a perk that was considered mediocre previously is now apparently a must have in builds. I've been playing for 3 years and used WoO for the first time earlier in the year and it's now in regular rotation for me. As the game changes, so too will preferred perks.

it’s always been this way.
- Complain about survivor perk every day until it gets nerfed.
- Once perk is nerfed, find next survivor perk that helps them survive, complain about that perk every day until it gets nerfed
- Once perk is nerfed, find next survivor perk that helps them survive, complain about that perk every day until it gets nerfed etc etc
They literally just got medkits nerfed, dead hard nerfed, COH nerfed, and now suddenly Windows, toolboxes and Adrenaline are “OP” and unfair. People won’t be happy until all viable survivor perks and items are gone and there’s nothing left so they can easily tunnel everyone out at 5 gens.
Meanwhile tunneling is still untouched.
Yeah, that's actually exactly how it goes. I'm crook as a dog atm so maybe that's why I'm in a bad mood, but I've been curled up under a blanket all day playing and haven't escaped a single match. I'm also purposely not using a single perk that's in the top 10. I could use the stronger meta perks of course, the ones that will probably help me survive once in awhile, but what's the point anymore. They'll just get nerfed so I'll stick to perks that *might* get a bit of love one day. Only killers apparently can use perks to help them win. If survivors do they're just "crutch" perks and need to be taken away.

The devs think it'll be abused and make queue times worse because most would block for any reason.there be a lot of blocked people if it happened.
Yeah, that's why I think a limited list would work. I keep a list of usernames to avoid and after 3 years of playing there's only 6 names on it. Alot of folk aren't that reasonable though so best they don't have an unlimited list.

survivor want games to last around 5-7 minutes for 5 gens. 8-9 minutes if we include end game. Killer want games to last around 12 minutes with 1-2 minutes for end game. that type of question is survivor vs killer question.
either way, you should not be having 30 minute games.
And yet survivors and killers all seem to be in agreement in this thread so far
-
It doesn't happen often enough in my games for me to care this much. If people are doing it consistently in your games, maybe you're doing something that makes them not want to play with you? I don't know. I've let go once in recent times and it's because a duo were trolling me and the other solo player. I'm not playing with folks like that.

I wanted the kitsune but figured this cutie would win

I played 8 games today and every single one of those killers was running it. It didn't bother me as I had Calm Spirit, but the ones who realised i had CS would get so mad and give me some good whacks on hook 😅

Lmao! I’ve never heard of that! Pointing the Killer away and they listen! Lol that’s hilarious.
Some players have a good sense of humour lol I did it to a Legion not long ago and not only did he leave, but he gave me hatch later
-
Yeah that's the Rancid Abbatoir map. Pretty sure the haystack removal was intentional, I'm not sure why. Only thing you can do is avoid the gen in that corner. It's a death trap.

Survivor HUD update was announced June 2022 and implemented end of January 2023. So I'd estimate around Jan 2024, unless it turns out to be alot more complicated.

Thanks for the clarification.
Can we please get a block to not play with them? I've had stalkers harass me and I can only report them to steam IF they're on steam.
Stalkers are a very serious issue and there should be a way to not run into someone again. Reporting does nothing as this issue goes outside the game. A simple block would be best.
This discussion has come up so many times. The devs seem to think it'll be abused and might make queue times worse (tbh I think if someone is getting blocked so much they're having trouble finding a game, then maybe it's deserved...). Anyway, I've said before we should each get like 5 or so block spaces each so can only block a limited number of people.

I love when I'm on a gen/cleansing a totem/whatever, and another survivor runs past and 'smacks' my behind and then runs off. It usually happens when I'm playing Thalita 🤣 it makes me laugh. I love tbag greetings. I love when the killer is good at pressure and I can't get anything done, so I point at them to go away and they do so lmao
-
The portals are too close together imo to really be a good means of map travel. Sometimes you get lucky and they're a bit more spaced out, but in general I find I'm not really too far from where I started out.
-
It definitely holds you back. In the same way I found playing on the Switch held me back to a degree. Once I moved fully to the PS5 it was surprising how much smoother the gameplay was. For example, hitting a great skill check on the Switch was a crapshoot for me. I can hit them perfectly on the PS5 though. I imagine moving to a PC would be a similar experience.
-
Lol think they're just crashing your mori. Kind of like when news presenters are filming in public and people are in the background waving at the camera
-
Doubt it. I think the devs are just taking advantage of the Saw X hype to get some advertising in, which is smart.
-
I think the word toxic gets thrown around too much. No, it's not toxic to want to win. I get why you did what you did (though honestly, I can't remember the last time I managed to wiggle off - there's usually plenty of time to get to a hook) but is it not boring to yourself to have to stand around for a few minutes until people bleed out? I'd personally rather risk them wiggling off so I have something to do than just wait around. But to each their own.
-
Go right up to them. They won't tbag then, they'll scatter like the wind and you can move on.

Bro survivors are ALL THE SAME. They have nothing separated.
No one has any effect, any special ability, just nothing.
Comparing this with killers is kinda weird.
Mechanically yeah. But there are differences between the male and female survivors. There's a reason female survivors are the popular choice. For one, they're smaller in size and easier to hide behind obstacles - which is good for setting up flashlight saves or just trying to be stealthy. In the same vein, they take up less screen space so you see more of your surroundings.
-
No. You're better off going and doing something else. I keep my basket of dry clothes in there and i just fold clothes and put them away during 'breaks' like that.
-
Speaking from only personal experience, any time I'm tempted to let go it's because of team mates. Nothing to do with trying to avoid a DC penalty. I played with two P100s the other day, evidently a duo, and another solo player. One of the P100s was getting tunnelled, so I jumped in and took aggro so he could get away. I ended up downed and hooked, and you know what the P100s did? They spent the whole time pointing at me from a distance and tbagging. The other solo player was in chase and ended up getting downed. I naturally just let go on hook. I then spectated and watched them do the same thing to the other player, who also eventually just let go. I'll bet the killer had absolutely no idea why I let go, and probably assumed I was salty. Nope. Just bad team mates.

funnily enough the bug encourages people to run those perks to make up for the missing resource
Yup I'm equipping Resilience until this is sorted. Otherwise, I never use Resilience, Hope, MFT etc.
-
As more and more folk hit P100, there will inevitably be less dodging as there will be no point. And then more people will realize that alot of P100s are actually quite average players and therefore they'll stop being scared of them.
-
I actually love this map. I struggle at times too when playing survivor - for one, getting caught on random obstacles during chase, not to mention the size can be difficult when someone is hooked on the opposite side of the map. You need to leave your gen pretty much instantly to ensure you get to them on time. As for killer, every map is going to be good or bad depending on the killer you play. Maps that are strong for some killers will be weak for others. I suppose it's all part of balancing.
-
He is a solo stomper. Very few survivors want to go for the box and chain hunts are a massive slowdown mechanic.
-
The jungle gyms every map spawns for survivors to loop
-
I don't think you'll find much objection to removing depipping. I don't care if they make it harder to pip, just get rid of depips.
-
As above. It's sometimes hard to tell if a team mate has been downed or using PT. I had a situation today where I wasn't sure and ran up to a downed Jake, and a Jill was trying to heal him but he was apparently holding run because she shook her head at me and we both left. I do think they should start using different aura colours or something because it can get confusing.

The only map rework to produce more dead zones within the last year has been borgo which is getting its max pallet count increased to 18. The Gas Heaven and Blood Lodge rework just made the main buildings even more accessible by spreading out the fillers more evenly to the point where I played survivor and didn't even try because I could just W to the next pallet before a killer could attempt a mind game.
Rancid Abbatoir is another. One corner is a massive deadzone, and it's one saving grace was the Harvester but they've gone and gotten rid of the haystack again so the gen in that zone is a death trap.
-
They're not gen-rushing, they're just not focusing on the event objectives like you are. If you're not chasing them because you're focused on getting haunts, then they have nothing else to do. I haven't reached that challenge yet but is it one you can do as either survivor or killer? If so then do it as survivor.
-
I play solo and don't notice a difference based on grade at all. Sure it's not just a perception thing? It's harder to rank up/pip once you hit iri so that can make the games feel more difficult. Plus if you don't hit iri until the week before reset, games can definitely get a bit sweaty as everyone wants to get to iri 1 asap.
-
I guess at this stage they'll look at their info and make a determination as to whether it's something they'll implement in a future update. They might be looking at if the people who had it hidden will now, that it's no longer hidden, start dodging.

Ok and the minimum number is...? Because if 18 is the unlikely maximum but the minimum number is 16 there's no difference. If the minimum number is 10 that's another story
Btw it's nice to see another urgent change to something because survivors cry about it
Still wait to see bahdam, garden, mother, the game fixed but no worries it's just a killer issue, nothing urgent
It got fixed now because Borgo is literally where their current time and resources are dedicated. It got a rework in the latest major update recently. Why would they place it on the to-do list for later down the track when they are literally in the midst of crossing the T's and dotting the I's of the latest update? They're not going to work on it when they're doing the next map (Garden of Joy apparently) now are they?
-
Because they decided to start doing regular perk overhauls with update 6.1. They said at the time that going forward we'd see more perk touch ups more frequently. So that's why perks like Eruption seemingly got change so quickly - it was part of their regular perk update schedule.

Survivor perk: *does literally anything*
Killers: this is outrageous and requires a nerf immediately.
I'm honestly kind of over it. I feel like they could make it so survivors have to be injured and on death hook before any perks could activate and even then there would be complaints about said perks. In fact, that was pretty much the requirement of Blood Rush and I remember the absolute uproar over that perk before it was even released.
-
I always see Plot Twist as someone sitting on a toilet
-
It's not just you. As mentioned above it could be due to backfilling. I guess we'll see once the devs finish their hiding prestige testing if there's any improvement on that front.
-
Agree. I wouldn't even care if they made it slightly harder to pip as long as depipping is a thing of the past.
-
Nothing wrong with having to actively look for a survivor once in awhile
