By the time one survivor is hooked in red ranks that's two to three gens it seems peanits isn't taking into account kindred which lets them know you're nearby so lose one survivor for a three man escape

Yes. But a gen with 80% progression was only worked for 64 seconds, not 80 seconds. 80 seconds is the full gen.
True so that's 128 seconds which is still two gens or three gens if survivors do there job and work on gens not taking into account toolboxes or perks

I'm not saying anything about the regression speed.
Both times, it was specifically a Doctor who kicked it. One used his shock to find me after he kicked and chased me down. The second Doctor hit me, hit the gen, and found me.
You did mention ruins regression speed in op

Wrong. 80%=60seconds.
It would take 120 seconds.
It's normally 1/4 the survivor repair speed ruin increases it to 200% which is 2/4 or half of one survivors repair speed

It's interesting cuz Killer players claimed they were going to bring Eboni Moris, NOED, slug, camp, etc.
But in the 10 games I've played since the Ruin change, the game has felt less "annoying" when going against a Killer with a Ruin perk. If people are getting hooked within the first few minutes, the suiciding and DCing doesn't start. I remember with old ruin, if the Killer had 2+ hooks and Ruin wasn't found, people would suicide or DC.
With that said, the Hex Ruin regression really does a number on the gen... There have been times I've had a gen at 70%-80% and a Killer chases me off it. I come back to see just the gears spinning and sparks.

Honestly, I love this change. I feel like I can contribute without pulling my hair out looking for a Ruin. Especially on a map like Hawkins.
If you had it at 80 % it would take 160 seconds to get reset which is two full gens

Please respond with an actually constructive argument in response to my points rather than trying to derail the discussion by requesting footage which I do not have nor would I want to share.
Burden of proof is on you now you made the claim that killers who get gen rushed are bad even streamers who play for a living struggle so show us against a good team how it's done

DL gets up to 9 stacks.
Each stack gives survivors 3% penalty to Repair, Healing and Sabotage
3X9= 27%
But yeah "DL does nothing"
Dl is one stack per non obsession hooked while buffing the obsession that means to even surpass thana which is vastly easier to get you need to hook six different times (which is 18%) which can be two survivors gone or everyone on death hook which the game is effectively over anyway or two people dead or very close either way you're close to winning

Tbh my comment was about people I know who are real good with huntress and don't ever use ruin. I know that's not the case for everyone, with huntress there are really bad players with her even if ruin was up all match they would still be bad, some do alrite with her, if ruin lasts abit and then there are some players that are real good with huntress, but because they don't use ruin, if they have the opportunity to slug they will, and I don't blame them lol because what you said, movement speed is slow
Even umbra one of the best hunteress players get gen rushed if the survivors are good enough all killers rely on survivors mistakes and if it's a big map , there's no early game slowdown and you happen to get unlucky with spawns you are going to lose a gen before you can even get there that's just a fact you can lose 20% of the game because of rng screwing any mobile killer

She dead if your a sucky huntress
Please let me know your secret to get across the map in under 40 seconds as a 110 movement speed killer on a big map like temple of purgation or red forest because that's already 20% of survivors win condition before you even made it over there unless your big brain plan is to throw a hatchet at every single generator on the map then okay

Create: less early game slowdown perks
Solve: frustrations of newer survivors, monotony of trials, lack of perk variety
More survivors will come back/join the game than killers will leave. This will also alleviate queues of newer killers and make the game more welcoming on that side as well.
Ruin made the kill rate per trial completely rng based, once it's gone the devs can properly collect information such as this to help balance the game. Once the game is balanced, they will probably earn back all the higher ranked players they lost and both sides will have a more fun and balanced game and the playerbase will overall be increased greatly. Result: more money.
None of this is set in stone, but the Ruin change is an obvious step toward a better game. If the devs find issues due to the change, I am confident they are competent enough to fix any that may arise because they had the foresight and courage to change Ruin.
Hopefully when the changes go live there will also be a toolbox nerf to put people at ease.
The less slowdown at the start kills off any killer but three vs good survivor players as well as okay more survivors rejoin most high rank killers leave so we get red ranks vs yellow and green ranks they aren't going to want to stay if all there games are completely washed with 4k escape and under six minutes as for the high rank killers you must be hoping pretty hard they don't become completely done with this game or find a new game one where they can actually enjoy themselves because if they don't then what no one will want to play killer and finally you're putting a lot of faith in bhvr it took them over two years to fix the worst killer better hope this doesn't happen here because again it will die
-
Boi what do you mean they're nerfing ruin soon it's going to be a dead perk soon

don’t pay attention to the text on those survival rates as well that said the chart was wrong, and rank 1 only had around a 46% survival rate :)
Only you have this magical information then because it's not on the post regarding the stats at all I just rechecked

It would be best that killers should not be biased; statistics show that they are over-performing (especially in Red Ranks).
Yeah man them stats tho don't pay attention to the fact the last stats they did before that released the same year showed rank one survivors had a twenty percent higher escape rate then even rank two being at 70% escape rate
-
Most survivors want to one vs one a killer and get upset when they can't

Even if they are wrong by 10%, that's still above a 50% kill on everybody. I can say that, playing as a solo survivor, I can see why these numbers exist.
You literally have to be running DS / BT to have a chance against any tryhard killer, because once the facecamping starts, there is literally no other option to try and save your team.
If you are not running them? Sorry, watch your team die and do generators. That's the state of DBD currently.
The problem with your precious stats is an early stat post by dbd showed rank one survivors have a 70% percent escape rate twenty percent higher than even rank two

Yes that is bullshit but you do admit there isn't a genrush playstyle then?
I view gen rush as an extreme like you play a non mobile killer get a huge map with three or more toolboxes and they spawn on a gen it's not likely to happen but it does happen it's the equal to say a nurse, Billy or spirit using an ebony on say a smaller map i.e the game and just tunnelling one person out at a time

Ok... ONLY 1 gen made by 4 survivors in less time than the time it took you to get there SUPPOSING they found a 4 men gen as soon as the match started... Wanna place more specific non common facts there? Ranks, specific killer, addons, mori, offerings?
They were red ranks I was Ghostface a non mobile killer and the survivors used a template of purgation and red forest offering so it was going to be one of those and moris lose killers points so what I'm supposed to just not win on those maps

@DepressedClownMain said:

The survivors spawned, and saw a gen. It is natural that they work in it. A person was being chased, they worked gens, absolutely normal gameplay
Expect when it happens to that extreme it puts any non mobile killer in an unwinnable state

Tell me what is gen rush
I'll tell you what a gen rush is i spawned on the other side of the map so one gen gone before I could physically make it there so I chase a survivor and after I hook him and go to a gen to pop it three gens popped by the time I made it to a gen that leaves me with what one gen left for a single hook
-
A genrush does exist I had it happen in my last game where I spawned on the other side of the map so a gen got done before I could make it there then I chase one the other three run off and get three gens before I could get to another gen that leaves me with what one gen left in a single chase how is that even supposed to be winnable

Ahm...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/327/PUOGLXSQXUR6.png
You're telling me that it takes you to traverse half of red forest/rotten fields in more than 28.57 seconds...? And that's 4 persons on a gen... How about 2 on one and 2 on another cause you said "2 gens got instantly done", You're telling me that it takes you to traverse half of red forest/rotten fields in more than 44.44 seconds...? And that most teams you get to play against behave like this...?
Let me guess, you don't use reading perks like discordance, slowdown perks like CI or a fast phase killer like Spirit, Billy, Freddy, Demogorgon, Oni, Nurse? I'd say Huntress neither cause if you do use discordance on her you can land throws from pretty far away...
No, better yet, you encounter 4 men SWF teams all with toolboxes and BNPs all the time or most matchs? Cause then both gens got fixed in 20 seconds each!
Man, if that's an usual game for you you need to change your build... And you're just having bad luck...
Actually if you spawn on the other side of those it will take you at least thirty seconds it was timed

You say all survivors but then you’re only using my post lol
Also I never said Ruin was a crutch. Ruin was complex. Low tier killers and specific maps? Yeah the game was extremely hard without Ruin.
People who take Ruin and NOED on top tier killers? Yeah theres no doubt those people needed crutches to win.
It was most survivors I'm glad you aren't like that I know survivors that are like that we need to focus on game health instead of telling everyone git gud

A 3 gen can easily be played around if survivors aren’t bad. I’ve pulled it off against killers like Myers before. You just need survivors that are going to do hit & run tactics on the gens.
If survivors just hide at the edge of the map watching that’s when you’re screwed.
So I have to relay on if survivors want to get me banned or not okay

I think BT and DS are necessary evils due to the rampant tunneling in the game. I see so many bad killers that I understand why both perks exist.
That said I would nerf the hell out of Dead Hard, Adrenaline and Sprint Burst.
The more I play the more I hate Dead Hard. Its just a free pallet everytime if the survivor uses it for distance rather than dodging. It stings M1 killers who dont get a say in it.
”Oh look Im caught im never gonna make it to the pallet....oh wait I have dead hard yay now I can extend the chases for a few more pallets all with 1 button press”
and you get that 4 times per game because all good survivors run dead hard.
Funny all survivors say ruin is crutch if you can't pressure all gens at red ranks then git gud baby killer even then two to maybe three gens can go by the first chase but ds and bt are " necessary evils "
-
The problem seems to be you play by their rules you won't win playing the game they want you slug , camp and tunnel survivors don't care about your fun so don't care about theirs
-
The problem is if you three gen for a while you can get banned for it for " holding the game hostage"
-
Kate is the best girl in dbd
-
Well his blinding effect could be better on the bottle it's not really effective and on some skins it is useless because you can clearly see him maybe give more of a slow as well so it's not like one of Freddy's abilities
-
Don't get me wrong I would enjoy using clown if he had a good power another thing is Freddy can apply his debuff multiple times in a chase if they hit blood pools clown is one big arena
-
@BenZ0 said:
Actually Clown has a really good and strong power, probably one of the best anti loop power. I hear and read alot of ppl complaining that Clown is so bad because his power needs a rework. A personally think that is not true at all. I would consider myself as a really good Killer main and good clown player. And I NEVER have issues catching survivors. In a decent balanced map "Badham" I catch a survivor in 1min at max time. Depends on if the survivor is at the school pallets or not because they are pretty damn save.
His bottles are fine I would say just the reload speed is to slow, the brown addon should be baseline. What Clown truly needs is a secondary power OR the gentimes overall needs to be adjusted. In this case giving Clown a secondary power that somehow slows down the gens or gives him more map pressure. You can consider Clown as a Freddy without Teleport, he has a great anti loop ability but has NO map pressure.
What do you guys think?
That's literally what clown is a worse Freddy however clown does have one of the best perks being pop but ability it's not much comparative it's even just Freddy's side ability in chase he has teleports plus dream world clown doesn't offer much and what he does Freddy outdoes him by having more
-
Every killer but Ghostface as well if they just hammar out gens not much you can do you don't get a chance to stealth that much and then normal m1 killer
-
I'm a console killer I've been trying to not use ruin anymore a lot more slugging and tunnelling now can't afford to play nice anymore which sucks big maps servely hurt low mobility killers
-
The problem is ruin was needed to counter bigger maps like ormond and red forest that will take a while to make all huge maps smaller that's many maps that new ruin was needed on and with the way new map reworks come out that'll be a long while before it's fixed if it's fixed
-
Again Ghostface's reveal Isn't broken just because you don't know how to do it properly it's middle of the screen with no hitboxs in the way yes that includes your character
-
I play both and yes there is a such thing as gen rush when the team is smart I've been gens in under 30 seconds with prove thyself , better together (for the random ) and toolboxes which ends games before a killer can get a hook or two as well as I've seen a gen get done before a killer could physically make it to the gen

I've already covered the whole matchmaking issue, and a lot of people have.
I did hear that there is a shortage of higher rank killers, though.
It's seems they're quitting because they say the game is balanced is towards lower ranks wonder if they would if they didn't feel that way

Split the playerbase the make the queue times even worse.
This is the best idea that came to your mind?
As it is now if people playing for fun go against someone who tries to be competitive they aren't going to have fun and if that continues why wouldn't they leave ?
-
@Infinity_Bored said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/997446#Comment_997446
I want this game to be enjoyable and not forcing me to sweat out of my butthole.
I guess the devs want to keep the majority of the playerbase happy, cause this will mean more income for them.
The game can be fun and competitive I think if it is competitive we need a unranked mode more for fun then you can balance for high ranks then it will be balanced for low ranks
-
@Infinity_Bored said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/997410#Comment_997410
Yes and just in case u dont know:
Devs aren't supposed to balance the game around sweaty tryhards.
Unless you want this to be a solo party game like Mario party which I think dbd is coming to but if it's actually trying to be competitive then yes yes you do need to balance for high rank it's called trickle down balancing
-
Use kindred that'll help
-
Just for you people who don't know how to play against Ghostface the hitbox to reveal him is the middle of the screen and nothing can be in the way including character models not that hard
-
They don't need nerfs what we need is more viable killers like let's make legion and clown good as for gens let's not make maps as big it makes slower killers on big maps almost impossible to pressure every gen
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/997199#Comment_997199
This is true, but there are new perks that the new Ruin does synergies with better. Surveillance and Dying Light, for example.
The problem with that is it's still a hex and takes another perk to be good almost every good two combo perks aren't hexes once that hex goes you're now down to mostly two perks instead of three
-
You can't use pop with new ruin up at all
-
Even if that was the they're still an easy to loop killer and it pretty much kills any killer with out some form of speed like nurse and Billy the maps are way to big to pressure everything
-
I will say tru3's Ghostface is literally my favorite killer in dbd right now
-
A big part of it is survivors are getting more and more favor from behavior as well as behavior babying low rank survivors that they get an ego to where they think they should never lose it's almost like behavior is a bad parent to them
-
Don't worry it's clearly true killers shouldn't have any powers and should let survivors know where they are at all times
