I mean you literally sound like you don't like having strong killers in the game when survivors have broken mechanics too.
The Nurse is the only broken killer in the game. You can't reduce map sizes for killers if you have killers that can teleport from one side of a small map to the other to down someone and teleport right back to the hooked survivor to re-down them.
On small maps, the Nurse is literally everywhere. Her kill rate skyrockets on maps like that.
So killers like Trapper are stuck having to deal with large maps because that's how BHVR balances Nurse, by keeping those large maps around.

I largely agree, but I do think him channeling the remnant should cancel bloodlust. Every other killer power resets bloodlust when used so it's just an inconsistency with his power that I would like to see fixed.
It's an anti-looping ability, so canceling bloodlust kind of defeats the purpose of it.

Nope you just don't want strong killers period.

So before I get Burned at the stake for this one, I play both sides, which is why I make this one. The Toxic Survivor is making a major comeback, especially with the new map. Rapid clicking, unnecessary Teabagging, and all around clownish behavior that often gets the other survivors killed, or makes a killer DC out of annoyance. Can an in game penalty possibly be added for this obnoxious behavior? Like a 30% reduction in speed for 30 seconds after teabagging 5-6times rapidly? Or maybe a survivor loses a health state for it? Anyone else hot a fun idea for it? These are merely ideas I think that would help keep the toxicity low, or at least...bring it down.
You play both sides but your solution is only for the survivor-side. Do you feel like your credibility just went down the toilet.

So lately I've noticed gens are getting done in less then 4 minutes.
I think that's rather ridiculous that gens can be finished so quickly. Now it forces killers to camp/tunnel.
Devs please do something about this. Because I want to play a game that's more then 4 minutes.
Sorry I needed to vent about this.
You can thank Nurse and Blight for gen speeds being fast.

I play killer and I want her off the roster so every single other killer can get the buffs they need to compete with survivors. Yet killers are being held back because of that piece-of-broken-crap killer.

It's funny how both sides are saying that developers are out of touch with their side and other side has it better.
I play both sides and have recently switched fully to killer. BHVR genuinely is out of touch with the survivor side.
Think about it, they haven't updated survivor game play since the game has come out, it's the exact same as the first day of the game. Nothing new.
And look at survivor meta perks. The only new meta perk in 4 years (Again that is 4 years), was Circle-of-Healing and it's been nerfed 4 times.
Face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead, both catastrophic game-design flaws, have existed since the games inceptions. Still here.
And come on, Face-Camping Bubba. How can you justify that in a game.
This isn't, hey, make survivor OP. This is players genuinely wanting unfun, toxic elements that completely prevent players from playing the game, fixed.

I know some some people will not like to hear this, but I personally do think certain aspects of Dredge need to be toned down just a tiny bit.
None of these nerfs will impact his effectivenes when playing as him in a big way though, these are all just smaller changes to make him more fair for survivors. I do think that he is a lot fun to go against, but there are certain aspects that should be looked at.
First of all, his tunneling potential. It's too much.
- The range to a hooked survivor in which lockers are blocked should be increased from 12 to 16 meters
- Lockers should stay blocked for 3 seconds or so after the survivor is unhooked
The range of 12 meters is not quite enough in my opinion. But the second change is the more important one. He shouldn't be able to teleport back to where the survivor was hooked immediately after they were unhooked. That's just too strong.
Second is his Nightfall ability. Some people are having too much difficulty with it, and I can understand why. The biggest problem in my opinion is the fact that sometimes, it's unnecessarily hard to see even within the range that you are supposed to see, because certain maps, or certain areas of certain maps, become too dark.
One of my main problems is the blackening of the screen edges. You can only see within a limited space in the center of your screen, and that really needs to be toned down, if not removed completely.
Whether the visibility range should be increased could then be seen. Because I am not sure if that is needed or not. Interestingly, it says that the vision radius around survivors is 18 meters, but it doesn't really feel like that in game.
The Gloaming Cooldown during Nightfall should also be increased from 4 to 8 seconds, it being 4 seconds means it pretty much has no cooldown at all, which I think is a bit overkill.
Third is regarding his anti-loop.
- Bloodlust should be canceled as soon as Dredge starts charging his power
- Increase the time it takes to teleport back to your remnant from 0,25 seconds to 0,6 seconds
The one change that 100% needs to happen in this category is to cancel bloodlust and bloodlust buildup as soon as he starts charging his power, and not only when he teleports. Since chaining loops is one of his main counterplays, him gaining bloodlust while trying to zone you or leading you away from certain loops is absolutely bad. That should 100% not be a thing.
The other nerf I would suggest I am not 100% sure is needed, but I do think it would be good, as it would add just a bit more counterplay for survivors. I would simply increase the time it takes to teleport back to you remnant from 0,25 seconds, to 0,6, maybe 0,7 seconds, or maybe even just 0,5 seconds. This way, survivors would also have the option to counteplay while looping loops that don't break line of sight, instead of just chaining pallet loops or running away from the loop to force him to dectactivate his remnant.
This would only be a very small nerf, because survivors already have other options to counterplay Dredge, but it would make looping him at simple pallet loops, at least the smaller ones, not impossible, but mindgameable. That means Dredge could still get hits with the help of his remnant, but if survivors predict when Dredge will teleport perfectly, they have a better chance of getting back to the pallet the other way around the loop.
The odds of getting a hit as Dredge will most likely still be higher, and increasing the time to teleport beyond 0,7 seconds I am pretty sure would be too much. It would make camping pallets a bit too good for example.
Making sure a killer has fair counterplay for survivors as much as possible, without stripping him from counterplay against survivors, is the best way to design a killer. I do think the devs already did a good job with this regarding Dredge, but it could be improved with this very small nerf. Dredge has some counterplay against holding w, survivors should also have a bit of counterplay while looping at least most loops. Right now, it's only the ones that break line of sight that allow for mindgaming his remnant while looping.
I really hope Dredge doesn't get nerfed because I really like playing him. But I will admit, I do think he's a powerful killer, very close to Blight in power-level. However, if Blight and Nurse aren't being nerfed, then I don't think it would be fair to nerf Dredge.
Honestly, I don't understand BHVRs logic to nerfs anyway. Blight and Nurse have had a free pass on nerfs for a long time, then they go and nerf Deathslinger.

You're not even playing DBD if you play Nurse. Every single killer has to deal with looping and mind games, except for Nurse. You're basically playing cheat-mode DBD.

You cannot compare the Pig camping a box to Bubba camping a hook.
The issue with Piggy was that she could use an addon, then AFK in front of a box - do nothing at all, and still get a kill. Bubba at least has to chase and hook survivors.
I would actually say the effort is about the same. I went 40 games straight of just face-camping with Bubba just to prove that being able to face-camp is rewarding. I got above a 3.0 kill rate.
This really tells me how out-of-touch with the survivor community that developers are, that they continue to defend this playstyle. (Since you represent the developers, I assume this is how the developers feel).
It's a completely miserable experience for survivors and the developers aren't able to see this as a problem. How did the developers get so out-of-touch with 4/5s of the player base? It's disturbing.

Yes. The correlation is that people who don't want to loop a cardboard box for 5 min go pick Nurse or play another game such as The Need For Speed.
Looping is what this game is about. So really, maybe the Nurse players need to find another game to play.

Again. Sprint burst you can bail the chase immedately. And the survivors have to keep it 99d by walking to use it like dead hard mid chase. Which is skillful. Dead hard you can use at what would be the end of chase. And just need to be injured and press E. Fairly different.
If you bail on a chase, that's actually worse than having a Dead Hard in the middle of a chase.
You lose all the time, finding someone, then you lose all time time finding someone else. What are you going to do when every survivor has sprint burst, bail on all 4 chases.
This is horrible reasoning.

And why should they? Same as camping/tunneling threads don't end, nothing has really changed since they started appearing.
The developers have waited way to long to address both of those but it does look like they are finally looking at game health and specifically on those 2 items.

I've been playing for a year now, and one thing that strikes me as odd how this is still, after all this time, this is still in the game.
When boil over was changes the developers quickly nerfed it because in some circumstances the killer had no way to hook a survivor in certain areas, they had to let the survivor bleed out if they wanted a killer.
Flash forward to the most recent patch, box camping pig was nerfed, which was probably the closest comparative to basement Bubba in the game. Survivors had no chance to live, this lasted only months before it was fixed in the latest patch.
But here we are, still being camped by a Bubba on hook with no way of countering it. His chainsaw speed and number of charges completely negate borrowed time. There nothing you can do. Oftentimes it happens within the first 60 seconds of the match, and thar unluckily survivor just spend 10 min in que just to have this happen to them and have them eliminated from the game.
Why is there double standards, why is one thing considered broken and hotfixed or patched, but this isn't. It's makes no sense and it's beyond frustrating at this point.
You see posts pleading for BhVR to change this everyday, yet they won't even acknowledge it in community streams. It makes zero sense ignore it when you're actively and aggressively removing others like it from the game.
Switch to Killer, you'll be happier. The Devs haven't changed survivors forever and had only changed the survivor meta once in the last 4 years, with Circle of Healing.
The game is far better on the Killer side than the survivor side. It has variety, they get useful perks every patch and they don't deal with face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till dead.
Trust me, when the developers do this meta switch up, every single survivor perk will be about as useful as Corrective Action.
The only useful thing survivors will get when the developers nuke the survivor perks will be built in borrowed time.

@DeliciousFood said:
Just to see how much it impacts the current meta. It's clearly way too strong and used by so many survivors. I understand it'll make killers like Nurse miserable, but the game isn't just Nurse. Besides you can't nerf her without considering DH anyway.
It's getting tiresome of how much outplay I have to do to get a single down because of this horrendous perk combined with, frankly, map design that is incredibly sub-par to what one would expect from a game lasting this long. I'm being very polite with the wording.
I think it'll be good data, and would help balancing the new version of it that SHOULD be underway from what I understand.
You can't just exclude Nurse when requesting Dead Hard to be removed. Plus Nurse is almost all you see at high end games, where Dead Hard is almost exclusively seen. There's probably a correlation there.

Demogorgon is LEAGUES better than Sadako. He can place his portals wherever he wants, and survivors not only take longer to cleanse them but also are hit by Oblivious while doing so. He even gets solid anti-loop besides, which Sadako sorely lacks
Only because Demogorgon is cute. He's like a puppy.
The thing is, you still have to waste the time to go to where ever you want a portal and then waste the time to place it. Then if you placed a portal in a bad spot, you can't do anything about it.
Freddy and Sadako teleport to any gen they want, right out of the box. No need for setup. And even though the time is longer on teleports, at least with Freddy, I've never had a problem with the amount of time in between. Sadako television times does seem longer than necessary but they also serve the purpose of wasting survivor times by either shutting them off or risking Sadako teleporting to them.

BTW, I'm not saying this is definite proof I'm right, it does support my opinion. It's from an data aggregate site, so there are probably something context you would have to assume, such as the players submitting the data are probably more seasoned and experienced players, since beginning players wouldn't have much use for a site like this, which probably indicates a higher level of MMR than what DBD has.
The data is over 180 days and is between 6,000 to 12,000 games in that amount of time, based on what the site says. I do think the sample size is large enough to be significant.

Freddy is the worst of the 4, his mobility is heavily limited with a huge cooldown, no 1v4 and a 1v1 that is non-existant, due to the fact Freddy is slowed by an equal amount as the Survivors. If you're getting value out of it, you're facing bad Survivors.
Sadako is the second worst of the 2. Her TV's are limited by a cooldown that's longer than an entire Generator by 20 seconds, and her Tapes don't exist. Survivors have to condemn themselves if you want to get value out of it.
Dredge is the second best, it has good mobility, tho it is also somewhat limited, a 1v1 Power that's really only useful at unsafe tiles, and a good 1v4.
Demogorgon is the best out of all the teleporting Killers.
He has a good 1v1 Power that can be used at most tiles and also doubles as a mobility tool, can somewhat slide like a Blight hug tech, has Portals that double both as information and mobility, but also as passive slowdown, as Survivors have to close them to deny him his mobility
Ok, I am more that willing to admit I'm wrong if the data shows otherwise. So since there were so many people telling me I was wrong, I decided to check and see what the kill rates are for the 3 killers off the best DBD data aggregate site. (Hey DBD, you all should go ahead and just show the data). It has about 6,000+ games in the past 180 so days, so should be about the best source of data, outside of DBD actually releasing the data.
Based on the data from the site, it shows Freddy as having the best kill rate, Sadako the next best and Demogorgon the worst. What's interesting is Sadako has a much higher 4k but her escape rate is much worse.
With all the people telling me wrong, I figured that I was, but the data supports my opinion.

Needlessly bitter post. How about you comment on the OPs ideas?
Most of these sound pretty good- I don't think built to last needs any sort of buff, it's sleeper strong. I also don't think shattered hope affects the boon predicament in any meaningful way.
It is true, unfortunately. When has anything said by survivors on these forums been taking seriously by the developers. If you're a survivor, you best bet is to avoid these forums like the plague and just play the game until you aren't having fun, then move to a new game. If you are solo queue, you might as well just move to another game immediately.
Or, switch to killer. Killers are the developers little darlings and get stuff all the time.
It's going to be a sad day for survivors after the meta perk reworks. The developers are going to make survivor perks so worthless and bland, that I'll be surprised if any survivor plays this game after.

Freddy is really bad, I don't know how you can think he's anywhere near Demogorgon.
Dedge is nowhere near Blight, he's not even A tier.
He's lacking the consistent and quick mobility Blight has, aswell has any 1v1 potential.
Onryō is low B high C tier, she has great mobility (still worse than Demogorgon's and Dredge's) but no 1v1 capabilities, nor is her Condemnation a real effect, so she really only has mobility.
Demogorgon on the other hand has great mobility, great information and a potent chase tool, all of which get better with Add-Ons
Freddy is the best of the 3, because he has complete map mobility to any uncompleted generator he wants and he has an anti-loop ability.
Sadako is next best, because she has near complete map mobility to any uncompleted gen she wants and has a secondary effect which slows down gen progress, the tapes.
Demogorgon is worse. He has to setup before he has any map mobility. Has no slowdown potential and an ability to doesn't help in looping at all. Demogorgon is cute but Dredge is the best killer model of all the killers.
---
Dredge isn't even in the same ballpark as those 3, in how good he is. He has map mobility to anywhere on the map. He has anti-loop ability. He has survivor detection ability. And he has built in undetectable during nightfall.

Visionary
- The Auras of Generators are revealed to you within 32 metres.
- Each time a Generator is completed, Visionary is disabled for 20/18/16 seconds and the aura of the generator with the most progress is revealed to you for 5 seconds.
( I would like visionary to distinguish itself from deja vu better. Whereas deja vu shows the closest gens with each gen completion, visionary highlights the gen with the most progress to work on.)
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Built to Last
- Hiding inside a Locker for 14/13/12 seconds while carrying a depleted Item will replenish its Charges to 99 %.
- Each use of Built to Last reduces this percentage by -33 % and 3 seconds.
( What doesn't make any sense about BtL is that you have to stay in the locker for 14/13/12 seconds for each time you want to recharge item charges. It would be better if, for each 33% that you lose for each time you use the perk, the recharge timer follows suit.)
Tier 3 BtL: 12/12/12 seconds in the locker > 99%/66%/33% item charges
Tier 3 BtL: 12/9/6 seconds in the locker > 99%/66%/33% item charges
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Pharmacy
- Unlocking Chests is 40/60/80% faster.
Unlocking your first Chest guarantees an Emergency Med-Kit.- Grants the ability to rummage through an opened Chest once per trial and will guarantee an emergency medkit.
- Pharmacy reduces the audible range of your Chest-unlocking noises by 8 metres.
( Should really update Pharmacy to be similar to Residual Manifest since survivors shouldn't be denied a random chest item for a green medkit.)
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Distortion
You start the trial with a maximum of 4 Tokens.
Whenever the Killer attempts to read your Aura, Distortion activates and a Token is consumed:
- Your Aura will not be shown to the Killer and you will not leave any Scratch Marks for the next
6/8/104/6/8 seconds. - Distortion does not activate when you are in the Dying State or in a Killer Trap.
- You regain 1 token for each safe unhook.
( Distortion is limiting in a sense you only get 4 tokens for a trial. If tokens could be replenished from safe unhooks, it'd be better optimized and provide more incentive for survivors with distortion to unhook other survivors.)
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Off the Record
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Off the Record activates for the next
60/70/8040/50/60 seconds:- Your Aura will not be shown to the Killer if they attempt to read it.
- When injured, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 100 %.
- You leave no pools of blood and scratch marks during this duration.
( Would like to see Off the Record be buffed. It doesn't matter if my aura can't be read and I don't make injured noises if the killer manages to find me from my scratch marks and blood. I'd take a shorter Off the Record duration in exchange for no pools of blood and scratch marks.)
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Blood Pact
When you or the Obsession are injured, you both see each other's Auras. You and the obsession see each other's auras.
- After healing the Obsession or being healed by the Obsession, you both gain the Haste Status Effect, moving at an increased speed of 5/6/7 % until you are no longer within 16 metres of each other.
- If you are the Obsession, Blood Pact deactivates.
- Lowers the odds of becoming the Killer's initial Obsession by -100 %.
- The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
( What's limiting about Blood Pact is the aura reading is only available if you or the obsession is injured. While Bond limits the radius of the aura reading, you can see all survivors. Blood Pact should reveal the auras of you and the obsession, since it's only 2 survivors that benefit from the perk itself. )
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Adjusting Perks for Booning Speed
With 4 boon perks in the game, and with Shattered Hope being included in the killer perks' base kit, booning speed should at least be affected by other survivor perks such as:
- Leader
- Resilience
- Spine Chill
- Object of Obsession
LOL, you just wasted your breath. The developers could care less about what survivors say on this forum. Your best bet is just to switch to killer and watch as the killer buffs just pour in.
In fact, you should switch to killer before the developers get their grubby hands on the survivor meta perks and make them all about the same power as Corrective Action.

He really isn't that op. Many people haven't figued out too well how to play against him yet either. There are a few aspects that could be toned down, mainly his Nightfall darkness effect, but his map pressure is pretty damn fine actually. Killers need good map pressure like that. Not that a cooldown increase would ruin him or anything, if it's just a few seconds, but I don't think he needs it. Killers need good map pressure and decent anti-loop to be viable.
If anything, they should make looping against him a tad more viable by making it take a half a second or so to teleport back to your remnant, but even that is way too early to say, he does have a good amount of counterplay.
Maybe you also went against survivors that weren't too experienced? It also doesn't really make sense that one would only notice a killer being op when playing as him. If a killer is op, you would notice it, no matter which side you play.
I'm maining Dredge now and his map control is very possibly more oppressive than Blights. On top of the fact he's also anti-loop. He's a far better version of Freddy, Demogorgon and Sadako. Sadako and Freddy both being very solid killers.

A perk that allows you to heal anywhere with no requirements is far from weak
The only reason why it gets a bad rep is because bad players will prioritize Self Caring when say doing a gen or saving a teammate would of been more important at that time
^^This
What concerns me is that Self Care levels the playing field for Solo queue. I really hope the Developers are looking at what SWFs, which they aren't and completely ignoring what Solo queue players are bringing to bring the gap between solo and SWF, which they aren't.
Self Care is going to get nerfed which will screw over Solo queue, but that's about what I expect from DBD developers anymore.

Dredge and Pinhead are examples. Basically killer kits that have a lot of stuff they can do. It basically killer power-creep. There's no power-creep in survivors.
Neither Dredge nor Pinhead are op. Just because killers have a lot in their kit doesn't mean they are op, it also depends on how good every part of their kit is. Dredge does have great map pressure, and his anti-loop is decently strong, but it has fair amount of counterplay. Nightfall is the one aspect that needs to be toned down, but more so to make it easier for people struggling to see what they are supposed to be able to see, not necessarily nerfing the intended effect of Nightfall. In general though, he is not op just because he multiple parts to his power. Great map pressure and a decent anti-loop ability is what every killer needs to be viable.
Pinhead is rough on low rank survivors, and solo queue, but again, he is not op, if anything, he is a tiny bit underpowered at high ranks because his main ability, his anti-loop, just isn't reliable enough. But in general his problem is that too much power lies within his passive, and not enough power lies within his actual main ability, the one that takes skill to use.
Maps being made smaller has everything to do with favoring killers. How can you say it doesn't? It's a killer buff.
Removing infinites and not fixing face-camping, tunneling-off-hook-till-dead shows a killer bias, does it not? They're all game design flaws, one side gets addressed the other side doesn't.
Not many maps have had their size reduced. You are right though, it does favor killer. But that's only because maps being too big makes maps survivor sided. So even though reducing the size of a map is good for killer, in the end, unless the maps become too small, it just makes them more balanced, not killer sided.
Not to mention that many maps didn't even have their sizes reduced during the visual rework. Very few in fact. Half the maps or more are still survivor sided, without camping and tunneling that is. Good amount of safe pallet loops, big sizes, strong windows, the list goes on. Eyrie of Crows for example is absolutely horrendous for most killers.
Also, and I can not stress this enough, but removing infinites that were completely bullcrap doesn't even come close to nerfing camping and tunneling. If killers got the gen speed problem adressed, without camping and tunneling being addressed, than I'd be right with you.
Or if all maps were to be reworked like Dead Dawg Saloon, or at least Coal Tower. Then I would probably also agree that camping and tunneling should have been nerfed a while ago.
If you want to list the killer perks that have been nerfed beside a list of survivor perks that have been nerfed, since last year. And put them side-by-side, I'll gladly listen to this argument. Last years patch was 5.0.0.
Survivor: Mettle of Man, DS, CoH, Balanced Landing, Object of Obsession.
Killer: Hex: Ruin, Hex: Undying, Pop Goes the Weasel.
Holy crap, you are right. Let's do a short thought experiment: If one side has 2 op perks, and the other 4, and all of them get nerfed, does that mean the one side is clearly being favored over the other? If yes, then that is some of the most supid logic I have ever seen in my life.
I don't see why you are trying to argue with me when you are basically agreeing with everything I have said. I guess you are worried that BHVR might realize they have been heavily killer-sided. Well trust me, they could give a rats-shiny-red-buttocks about the forums. If they make any changes it will be based on the data they get behind the scenes. I don't understand why killer-mains act so scared about being the golden child. We're not going to lose that status and just pretending like we aren't doesn't do anything. I say just enjoy it.
I'm sorry, I just explained to you why BHVR does not favor any side, and now you are saying I agree with you? Your argument is that BHVR favors killers because killers have received more good changes than survivors the last years, and I explained why that's not the case. So now how exactly am I agreeing with you? The reason why killers have received more profitable changes than survivors is because they needed it, for the game to become more balanced. Not because BHVR cares more about killers than about survivors. Certain changes favoring killers doesn't mean the devs favor killer, the context is important you know.
Survivor: Mettle of Man, DS, CoH, Balanced Landing, Object of Obsession.

I started scanning through your comments to reply back to you and said that you completely lied here, so I stopped reading. I'm not going to waste my time replying to someone who is straight out lying. At this point I realized you lost the argument and are resorting to falsehoods. Hex: Undying was not nerfed in the last year, my guess is that most of the ones you listed haven't been nerfed in the last year. Why waste my time?
I'm all for a good debate but if you can't do it without lying then obviously I've already won.

Killer queue times being long does mean that more people are playing killer and there isn't enough survivors to fill the lobby. Also, that's very subjective, I seen plenty of people say that survivor queue times are long.
I was being sarcastic. They aren't, that's the point. Despite needing four times as many survivor players compared to killer players. They can be a bit longer during daytime, but during the evening, survivor queue times are what take longer. So it seems pretty balanced to me.
If you judge based on content, killer has gotten the lion-share. The best perks, the most overloaded kits. Reworked maps, removed infinites, nerfed survivor perks. Heck, survivor game-play hasn't changed since the inception of the game. BHVR is clearly focused on the killer-experience by a massive margin. Has there even been a significant Killer nerf since Undying (which was broken).
Just no. I guess when it comes to new perks, killers have been receiving the better end of the stick. But survivors received CoH, which was beyond op at it's release. And a few other perks that aren't bad either. Overloaded kits though? No idea what you mean there, but no. Both sides can have ridiculous kits, though on the killers side that's down to a few certain killers.
Maps reworked, and removed infinites have nothing to do with favoring killers. Like what the hell? It's done to make the game more balanced, and actually fair. There is no reason for survivors to have ######### that has 0 counterplay on the killers side. Not to mention that many of the map reworks did nothing for killer. Just look at the farm maps, especially Cowshed. Those are still beyond survivor sided. Not to mention the extremely survivor sided rework of the game map, and the beyond survivor sided map Eyrie of Crows. So when it comes to map reworks, they didn't do nearly enough to make maps more balanced.
Also, there have been a fews killer perks that got nerfed as well in the past. But just like some killers mains only take those nerfs into account, I guess you only take the survivor perk nerfs into account.
In the past years, killers have received more favorable changes than survivors, that's true. Especially some years ago, when they decreased pallet density, and healing time. But that's because the game has been rather survivor sided for a long time, back then at least. So of course there need to be more killer favored changes to combat that. In the last one or two years, the game has been in much more balanced spot, now it's biggest problem is that it's rather balanced for the wrong reasons, mainly gen rush, camping and tunneling. And perhaps 3 or 4 man slugging.
Survivor have only got 1 meta perk (Circle of Healing) in 4 years. Again, more proof that BHVR is focused on Killer.
I'm fine with them being focused more on killer since I've switched back to mostly a killer-main. I was hoping BHVR would add some stuff to survivor but now that I understand it's just going to remain bland, I see no point in sticking with it. Except when I have 2 or 3 other friends that want to play.
I don't think you know what the word "proof" means lmao. But I've already explained just above why BHVR does not focus any role.
I guess when it comes to new perks, killers have been receiving the better end of the stick.
Exactly.
Overloaded kits though?
Dredge and Pinhead are examples. Basically killer kits that have a lot of stuff they can do. It basically killer power-creep. There's no power-creep in survivors.
Maps reworked, and removed infinites have nothing to do with favoring killers.
Also, there have been a fews killer perks that got nerfed as well in the past.

Started to play Sadako from release and unexpectedly began to main her hard. Love her very much, she is so enjoyable to play. But yeah, I agree with comments here, she is garbage. Not garbage by herself, she still can whoop som butts in the hands of skilled player. But in comparison to Dredge... I don't know. Objectively he has more powers than Onryo, no TP cooldown, undetectible mechanic, plus some minor antiloop. But, he is... clunky. Feels slow and cumbersome, not enjoyable. When choosing killer, I don't have any second thoughts since Onryo release. She feels... right.
Message to devs: please, give Sadako some love. Double curse progression, increase TV's on the map, drasticly decrease TV cooldown time, or even all of that together.
I've always thought Sadako was fine. I liked her. I think Dredge is honestly overpowered and on the level of Blight. The problem is, Dredge is just a way way better version of Sadako, Freddy and Demogorgon. BHVR basically made all of those killers obsolete.

I'm not sure the Art team have had a flop in a long time tbh. There's definitely things I like more than others (and Artist is very close to a flip design wise imho) but in 99% of cases the Art team and sound team both knock it out the park constantly.
The Artist does bother me. I know what they were attempting with the long neck and trying to emulate a bird. And from an art stand-point it worked. However, I don't know if it was because what they were given to work with. So I can see where you are coming from. Also, Twins really needed some cool skins, it's such a cool concept as a killer and the original skin was great. However, they just kind of forgot about them, probably because Twins aren't played much and skins for them wouldn't generate profit.

That's why killer queue times are so long. Because nobody wants to play survivor, right?
How do people still believe BHVR only cares about one side? It doesn't take a lot of braincells to understand that they don't favor any side.
Also, what freaking awesome perks? I mean, of course killers have some great perks, but so do survivors. This game has it's serious problems for both sides. Gens can go incredibly fast, so killer can be very stressful, and even unfair at times. And on the survivors side, it's obviously camping and tunneling, which need to be nerfed into the ground.

Nurse, Blight, Pinhead and Dredge? (Am I right)
Switch to Killer, that's what I did. The games just much more fun. Also, when BHVR decimates the survivors perks, it will just be that much more miserable to play survivor.
Switching back to mostly Killer is so much more stress free and easy. You don't have to deal with face-camping, tunneling-off-hook-till-dead and slugging. I actually had fun and didn't realize how miserable playing survivor was with all the horrible game play mechanics that BHVR just leaves in the game.
There's plenty enough survivors willing to make their life miserable for your enjoyment. Don't play solo, it's a dead game-mode.

The Dredge is the worst offender. Survivor games for 2 days straight and can't escape once. Every match is a 4K. This game has gone to hell.
Survivor feels downright impossible.
I've played this since one year after launch and am so fed up with this god damn game catering infinitely to trash killers to the point that every match is now a 4k. But no, I'm not allowed to judge I guess. And im sure the replies will be so original like "bye then".
I agree, except for Sadako. Sadako was about average. I started using her as a main and was having fun using her, then Dredge came out. Dredge basically nuked Sadako from orbit. Dredge's kit is so freaking overloaded it has made me switch back to mostly killer. I almost switched back to purely killer with Blight because he's easy mode but it was boring because he requires no skill. Dredge is skill intensive but no where near as bad as Nurse, yet he's very close to Blight in kill potential.
I also main Pinhead and he's a nightmare to for survivors to play against because you need an SWF to beat him. lol.

The 5m range to penalty is too small and the the penalty is too minimal. Two fixes that can deter hook camping further is either a much heavier penalty to your points or to increase the range from 5 meters to 15 meters of the hook.
My suggestion is just to switch to killer. All the freaking awesome perks they have on top of the fact you don't get face-camped, tunneled-off-hook-till-dead or slugged. I don't see a point to playing survivor at this point and BHVR could give a d*mn about the survivor experience. The games actually fun as Killer.

@Blazelski said:
No suggestions (except to not nerf him), he's extremely fun to play, and no bad meme addons. He's got map presence, scare factor, anti-loop, and mindgames. And Nightfall is incredibly fun to play during. This killer is a resounding success to me so far. Great job on this one, BHVR!
Honestly, Dredge is the reason I have switched from half/half back to mostly killer. And honestly, it's not exactly for the reasons you think. I honestly don't want to play the game as survivor against such overloaded kits as Dredge and Pinhead and I don't want to play survivor against such powerful kits as Nurse, Blight and Dredge. They're just way to powerful and you're pretty much helpless unless you are in a 3+ man SWF. I play about 1/3 solo, 1/3 2 man SWF or 1/3 3 man SWF. The only way I can play is as a 3 man SWF anymore if I play survivor.
And to be honest, it's way to easy for me to get kills at this point as Killer. Don't get me wrong, Dredge is fun because his kit is so overloaded and the art department as DBD is just f*cking amazing. In fact, that company is probably kept afloat by the art department alone.
But I have no qualms about admitting that Dredge is easy mode. It's funny, one game I played, I had killed 3 survivors without even realizing it and was about to down the 4th survivor and hook him until he dropped his flashlight and I was like, ok, I'll hunt the other survivors down and kill them and give that survivor the hatch. I looked and I had already killed the other 3 without realizing it, lol.
Now I will say that Blight is even easier but Blight's kit doesn't have all the stuff you can do that Dredge has. And Dredge requires some skill besides learning to aim at trees.

Repeatedly quoting misleading statistics and ignoring my comments to that effect only rob your arguments of their legitimacy even further.
Data is not misleading, the context in which the data is presented is misleading. I gave you the context for the data. How am I quoting misleading statistics?
Out of 6,000 plus games in the last 180 days, survivors are only using Empathetic Connection 0.27% of the time in games. That means only 16 survivors used Empathetic Connection in 6,000 games.
The data is from an aggregate site, that collects data from users willing to submit to the site, so some inferences you can make from this is that the players submitting the data are probably players that are more experienced at the game and probably a higher MMR than average. The data is there and it's right in your face.
Your argument is that Empathetic Connection is low because it's DLC. Well, if we use the same site and choose a perk that is only from DLC, then it should also have low usage. So lets do CoH, a perk survivors see as a good perk and one that is only from DLC.
CoH is used 10.69% of the game. It's a DLC perk and it's used 39.59 times more than Empathetic Connection. So based on this, your argument against this data, is not correct.

Dredge's kit is way overloaded. Dredge has basically nuked Sadako from orbit. I literally regret getting Sadako now.

By that logic, if you take more than 4 seconds to get to someone hurt it's worse than waiting for them to come to your generator... That you could even showcase with Empathetic Connection... Weird, right?
I have no idea what you are trying to say. Where did you get 4 seconds from? What do you mean "showcase with Empathetic Connection"?
---
Empathetic Connection's 1.6 seconds less on a heal is worthless, so lets just ignore that part.
You are basically using the perk so that other injured players can see your aura. However, since Empathetic connection does not exist in a void but exists with perks like Empathy and Bond, those perks make Empathetic Connection worthless. In fact a Key, as worthless as they are, are actually better than Empathetic Connection.
But, if you don't believe me, then maybe you will believe the other six thousand or so games where survivors don't use the perk. It's literally used less than Solidarity and just slight above Self-Preservation (A perk another user in this thread said was worthless).

You're trading 23% healing speed for one less perk slot "technically".
When you have something like Empathetic Connection which heals others at 10% and then you have Botany Knowledge that heals yourself and others at 30%, there's no reason to run Empathetic Connection. The perks have one thing in common - Healing speed on other survivors. Ignoring the other aspect of Empathetic Connection is ignorant, which is the aura reading.
Empathy and Botany Knowledge are a much better choice because you can actively find hurt people and heal them.If no one comes to you when you are running Empathetic Connection, what's the point of the perk.Feeling sad that you're not playing SWF? You're correct on one thing tho - if you're running Empathy and Botany you still have use of those perks even if you don't heal anyone outside of yourself (both info and healing speed).
Empathetic Connection technically allows you to still be on the gen and allow the other survivor to come to you for healing, reducing the gen down-time by a bit.
It's worthless. If survivors aren't coming to you when you equip it, it's worthless. Also, consider that it only saves you 1.6 seconds of healing speed. If the person that is hurt takes more than 1.6 secs to get to you, then it's actually worse than him just waiting until he meets someone at a generator.

The best way to make Killers not camp is by making the game fair and not punishing killers. If the game was fair, killers wouldn't need to camp and tunnel, they'd feel comfortable applying more pressure.
Wanna know what would be fair? To acknowledge the shadow nerfs to killers ability to track survivors, we all know that scratchmarks barely work, sound issues have plagued killers gameplay, insanely high volume chase musics, lack of sounds from survivors, etc.
Wanna know what else would be fair? Smaller maps...
Wanna know what would be fair? If the simplests aspects of the game were improved.
What else would be fair? If they stopped just adding copy paste content and actually did something about gameplay..
If more killers could play then just maybe people wouldn't face Nurses and Blight's and Camping Bubbas....
Killers are getting a +50% win rate. All those suggestions would skyrocket the killer rate way beyond the +50% they're already getting. How is that fair?

Honestly, if BHVR went all out, they could have difficulty scaling bots based on their opponents MMR.
But honestly I'd be fine with even a bare bones AI. If it can do a little bit of work on a generator and be chased by a killer, it's already filling the void better than some soloQ survivors 😂
Nah, it needs to be the best AI they have. And I'll guarantee that AI will still be worse than 4/5s of the people. That bot needs to be able to actually fill in and play the game, it shouldn't be a hook ornament, otherwise you are just playing with 3 people like before.
The killer can always chase the other 3 survivors if the bot is that amazing, which it won't be.

I actually want Parental Guidance and the healing perk. I'm not buying the DLC rn, just because Sadako herself feels weak (and not that fun to play imo). Waiting on a sale.
This usage rate should be taken with a grin of salt, because of the current meta (and a thing Mozic mentioned).
The healing perk is horrible. I've tried running it and realized that 10% does not work for yourself, it only works for healing others.
On top of the fact that no one ever comes to you for healing when you run it. I've watched as people run around hurt all game, even though I'm running Empathetic Connection.
It sounded good to me, but in use, it's worthless. Run Botany Knowledge instead and get 30% healing on yourself and others.

BHVR needs to add Bots to replace DC's. It just makes complete sense. It is better for the killers, better for the remaining survivors, and better for the lobby times. It should cover ALL DC's, even in a situation where we lose the killer during the loading screen. Sure, I'd prefer an actual person, but I also hate waiting in two separate lobbies where bad nights it could take 15 minutes, only to have someone crash in the initial loading screen.
I hope they use the best AI they have for the survivor bot.

It's a massive shame to see Haddie's perks not get any buffs. Overzealous and Inner Focus are incredibly underwhelming. It doesn't make sense that BHVR want a wide variety of perks used when they keep releasing bad survivor perks.
BHVR has released 2 horrible sets of survivor perks in a row. I'm think the best thing survivor-mains can do is just not buy their content. Once BHVR starts losing money because they refuse to do any work on the survivor side of DLC, then maybe survivor-mains will start see decent perks. I honestly can't get over how BHVR could make Haddie's perks and Yoichi perks and not realize no survivor wants them in their bloodweb and won't by the DLC because the perks just sit in the bloodweb, taking up space.
Look at Yoichi, he barely has one perk that is sitting at half a percentage of use. All combines, his perks barely are used more than 1% of the time. It's horrible. I'm betting that Haddie will have worse perk usage.

The trickster is way to overpowered now everytime i see hes in my game it makes me wanna set my controller down and walk tf away. I played against him yesterday and his knives are so fast i cant move 2 ft without going down, the only way you can survive is if he miraculously runs out of knives and even then he can get them back in 3 seconds. His power main event is just insane you can counter it by getting in a locker but he can still just get you afterwards. Playing trickster takes absolutely 0 skill at all. He used to be the worst killer in the game and he jumped up to being one of the most annoying and overpowered killeds right up there with twins, but twins is just really annoying. The trickster shouldnt have so many knifes, throw them so damn fast, be able to hold so many and be 120% speed. Its just an overall overpowered character, if he didnt have his knifes i would love to play against him ive played against some killers who didnt use his knives and it was fun. But it just makes me wanna quit the game hes just unfair to play against you cant do anything really your just kinda ######### if he decides it. Once he pulls out his knifes your just dead
Actually, the better argument would be that the Trickster is boring to play against because all you do during the match is mend. Which was the original reason he was nerfed. The buff just caused it to happen again. He really needs a rework instead of a nerf or buff. His mechanic is awful.

Did you even read the OP? I play SWF and I know how different it is from the solo experience. Yes, MMR is horrible at the moment, but from my experience, even with 3 decent solo survivors won't stand a chance against a good Nurse with strong add-ons + slowdown.
Why should I or my teammates struggle in a match already lost? If the killer wants an easy win I'll just help them and move on to a match more worthy of my time and patience.
4 decent solo survivors don't stand a chance against a good Nurse period. Forget addons. She's broken.
