I've been the obsession when myself and the killer weren't running any obsession perks -but other survivors were. I really hope this is a bug.
-
This happened to me recently. I was the killer's obsession even though I wasn't running DS or anything increasing my odds of becoming it.
I figured that meant no other survivors were running obsession perks but the killer was so someone had to be chosen at random. A little rare but it happens, no problem.
After the game I looked to see what the killer was running but there was nothing to create an obsession. One of my teammates had DS but wasn't the obsession even after I died. The killer let everyone else leave - even carrying out a downed survivor. I thought it had to be bug.

You can't go wrong with BT and bond. There's never been a game I regreted bringing either of them into. You can run a great rescue build without wasting time rushing for a save someone else is closer to using those with WGLF and an exhaustion perk of your choice.
I swap out WGLF with prove thyself to gen jockey, small game for totem hunts, urban evasion for stealth, adrenaline to try hard or diversion for funsies.
ETA I didn't really run DS because I couldn't guarantee I'd get a chance to use it if I wasn't the obsession, sorry if I shouldn't have chimed in to chat builds in general :$

Personally I'd say Clown, Wraith, Freddy, Micheal and Amanda. I don't like being snuck up on or clowns irl much either.

When you fake afk with rancor and survivors start tbagging in front of you.... 😂
That's killed me before and I wasn't even being a dick, I just thought it was a bot and I could farm. She didn't do anything but swing in place while we ran into her and healed each other until she could morri me! It was a great freaking jump scare, I'm glad they couldn't hear me scream 😂 I had to give them a thumbs up for it.

I'm not banned but I'd love an offline mode to practice killer in. Especially huntress and her hatchets. Tbh all the swf horror stories makes me think as a noob killer I'll spawn in with no arms and get gangbanged by flashlights to death or something.

Coming to DBD from Friday the 13th I thought I would have to conserve stamina and didn't run outside of chases. I also didn't think stealth was any kind of option (in Friday your character screams if Jason walks by) so I took off running the opposite direction as soon as I heard the killer's heartbeat. I didn't know what to run to exactly so it was mostly just in a straight line. If I wasn't easy enough to kill already, I also didn't realize there was a sound cue before skill checks and failed them all miserably.

Camping is less frequent when you get to higher levels. But if you DC you're gonna stay at a low rank, doom your teammates and worse - reward the killer. If he/she wants to camp you to death it will cost them 2 minutes. That's enough time for your team to finish most if not all of generators. They could even pull of a clutch save with borrowed time or some flashlights and coordination. But if you DC the killer gets the match down to 3v1 for free, and not having anyone to camp means more time to patrol their generators. The match is heavily in their favor
You gotta get really spiteful and struggle to stay alive just to waste as much of their time as possible. You'll also rank up and encounter more experienced killers who are less likely to spend 2 minutes securing 1 kill.

I was gonna link you to some blank masks at hobby lobby or Joann fabrics (cosplayer favorites!) but looking a little closer; the legion's mask has no facial features etched into it. They're only drawn on, the mask is more like something you'd cut off the back of a cereal box. I'd try paper mache.

I don't think I get honestly tunneled very often. If I get unhooked in front of the killer then of course they're going to target the person closest to their death hook to cripple the survior's efficiency. I can't get mad at them for doing math, it's nothing personal that they're after me for so I don't consider it tunneling in that situation - just screwed by teammates.

I'm on PS where there's no post game chat and I'm too socially awkward to message strangers but I do give a lot of thumbs up. I just tell myself they probably do something or will someday.

I hate the clown because I've hated them my whole life like everybody should.

Why not switch to playing killer and REALLY wreak your horrible vengeance upon them?
-
I agree, right now I only go through chests if I'm injured and need a med kit. New items wouldn't have to be useful to convince people to go out of their way treasure hunting for them though. A lot of survivors would snub generators for a chance to find cosmetics or lore fragments. It could kinda be a lowkey killer buff by slowing the game down, but that's not nessesarily a bad thing.

I don't linger at the gates to troll, I just want the killer to come give me a farewell smack. I lose points in the survival category for the killer to earn some in this exchange so it's my way of trying to say GG.
If they're not interested I won't stay to waste their time and I won't teabag because that could muddle the message. It irritates me too that some folk use the safe space to be puds instead of good sports. -
I read this forum like dating advice in cosmo.
How to attract (and keep!) a killer!
DO
Come into the lobby empty handed. It's a bit old fashioned but many killers will insist on providing everything you need for the evening. Definitely no flash lights or tool boxes!
Take your time admiring your killer's gen and totem placements before you touch them! If they run any hex perks you might want to ask permission first.
DON'T
Wear bloody clothes! Try to look nice for your killer, but don't show too much skin or wear anything too bright - those clothes are for trolls and trollops!
Decisive strike on the first date.

I don't tea bag killers unless they hit me on the hook more than once or twice and I somehow manage to escape anyway. That's only happened like 4 times though. Usually it's a pointless struggle to stay alive as long as possible out of spite, then I try to cheer up by telling myself the killer just didn't want me to die alone.
