Lmao. CoH and Dead Hard were completely broken. That's why we complained about them. Your argument about survivors not being able to have good perks also applies to killer. All of our very strong perks got nerfed. I reckon the only strong perk currently is Deadlock. The rest of the meta perks are balanced/only decent.

Killer did get many good perks recently but that's because we had almost none before that. Remember that almost every killer was running some Hex Ruin build in the past because there were literally no other good perks.

Also, don't know why people are saying No Where to Hide is a good perk. It's a B tier perk that very few killers run.

Is Adrenaline op too? Lithe & SB are broken? Because now killers are complaining about these perks. Looks like you guys never stop complain about survivor perks. Whenever devs nerf something, you are just going to next.

  • I would love to something from DC. Costume collection for og characters.

    And this is good idea.

  • I know people will hate this idea but i want oldest DS and old Moris back. Game was more chaotic tho but i enjoyed this era.

I mean I get your point but being realistic the majority of survivors will benefit more from using the one extra loop mtf gives you and the time waste of lithe.

However you are right a good survivor can probably loop say a jungle gym with mft for like 60 s+ using vaults and no exhaustion, I just don't think its common from my soloq experience at the least.

If survivor use Lithe + MfT together, it's actually not bad for killer. Because when they jump, both perks will gone.

This combo not allow me to jump which is so bad. Loops are strong when you use pallets and vaults together. I just don't see this combo is good enough. However Hope + MfT is different topic, i think this need to be looked.

  • @squbax said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3456788#Comment_3456788

How can you not use lithe with it, mtf deactivates with exhaustion so you just greed the pallet and when bloodlusts kicks in you vault, I dont see how this is not possible?

There are many loops where you are not forced to vault and can get tons of value from both perks, like high wall loops where you can just hug the loop until bl kicks in and the predrop and keep hugging or while the killer breaks use lithe.

I can loop killer longer if i use vaults and pallets together.

Why i use MfT and Lithe together which will not allow me to jump? This is just bad combo to use.

  • You can't use it with Lithe & SB, sorry for ruining this for you but you just can't.

SB is really hard to keep at 99% and for Lithe, you can't jump vaults because then you will lose both of your perks. If you can't jump vaults which means easy chase for killer.

DH is already dead perk. If DH has use with MfT, it's not too bad because just because you have DH, it does not mean you will activate it. Killer still can wait for out.

The only good combo BL & MfT but this alright because it's not easy to activate BL. You need to be near hill, second floor etc.

  • This will be problem for EU players tho. I don't think there is enough players from all countries in EU.

  • @MyelinXCVIII said:

As a Legion main, MFT has been pretty bad for me. I've ended up dedicating 2 perk slots to force exhaustion (current build being Blood Echo, Dead Man's Switch, Fearmonger and Thrilling Tremors) but there have still been cases where there's been a noticeable difference in how long a survivor can drag out a chase. I've gone against a few people stacking MFT with other haste perks and it's absolutely miserable, limiting haste to one effect at a time (whichever is strongest) would seriously help.

Also why is Dark Theory (a perk heavily limited by its set up time and range) weaker than MFT?

    I agree with you.

Haste perks needs cap. Or at least make them not stackable like endurance perks.

For your question, Dark Theory is terrible perk. But it does not req to be injured. And it does not deactivate when you are exhausted. And it gives haste effect to all survivors.

I read the whole post and the comments, and there was some talk about survivors having less good perks and less pickrates on certain perks than killers have, which is the thing that made me laugh.

Survivors are getting good perks all the time, are they meta probably not but only way you can get meta perks is to have a busted perk like adrealine right. Is this what we want? Survivors want perks that make the game easier for them like old CoH? Heck even the new CoH is still good. Getting a good perk is ok but getting a busted perk like made for this is not ok. It's ok for killers to complain about a perk thats making chases last too long or even catching feel impossible.

I'd also say that Renatos perks are pretty good. Background player is really good perk for altruistic survivors that like to help out people. Bloodrush is good if you can use it in endgame. Fogwise is a really handy perk especially for PC players that can hit great skillchecks easier. So i'd say multiple "newer" perks are usable and very good, but are they meta no. Meta perks tend to the the strongest and the most unhealthiest for the game.

Survivors have complained about killers perks and most of them have gotten nuked down so much no ones using them. Killers havent gotten any good new perks eather. I'd say the last good one was Nowhere to Hide and distorsion being in every game nowdays even that perk seems pointless.

Adrenaline is busted? 🤣 I mean this perk is in DbD from start to today. It was not busted for all of this time but now people realized it's so op? Camon! It's just killers can't handle any good survivor perk. People dropped CoH after last nerf and changed it with Adrenaline. And now Adrenaline is busted too lol. If you are looking to reason for laugh, laugh to this. Because this hilariously funny. And no, Adrenaline is not busted.

Yeah... Sorry for saying this but CoH is trash now my dude. Nobody uses it anymore. Thanks to killer mains who complained about it all time, we lost another perk.

This perk does not make catching survivor imposible. Killers have powers to use, remember? And plus bloodlust is still in game. So if you can't catch survivor even with 3% haste, it's you. There is no blame on perk.

Yeah, no again. Renato perks are garbage. And there is no use for them. I only saw them on people who was adepting Renato. And some uses was for tome challanges. His perks are terrible bad. That's why people are playing with old perks.

The only new perk started use by survivor is Made for This. And killers are already complaining about it.

Survivors are getting one decent perk. Killers = Omg, this perk is so op. Nerf! We need nerf!

And btw, i don't like perk nerfs from both sides if they are really not necessary. Like DH. They are just killing perks. 80% of perks from both sides have no use. Why? Because they are stupidly weak or nerfed to ground. We are keep getting poor quality content. Just look new killer, they somehow made weaker killer than Trapper.

  • @Hannacia said:

I'm laughing here reading that survivors can't ever have good perks. All i see in my survivor games are GOOD or GREAT perks.

    Adrealine. Great perk.

    We'll make it Great perk

    Resilience Great perk

    Prove Thyself Great perk

    Off the Record Great Perk

Do i need to continue? Survivors have multiple great perks. That is a small list i named. Made for this has broken the game for many killers. I've seen it personally destroy multiple killers in endgame when my teammates (soloQ btw) have ran the killer minutes because they just couldn't catch them. Haste stacking is a massive issue and i don't think 3% haste should come that easily. Oh you are injured here you go small speed hacks for you.

Killers have good and great perks too, but i'd argue they have less variety than survivors. Killers can't go around and have fun with off meta silly niche perks since they most likely will get destroyed. Survivors can do this more easily since there are 4 of them and 16 perks all together so it doesnt impact the game as much if 1 person has 1-2 silly perks on.

Again im nowdays a survivor main. I tried playing few killer matches when singularity came out shrugged and wen't back to survivor. Its more chiller and i can enjoy my games more.

First read and then write. Maybe stop laughing, so you can see posts more clear.

I said survivors are not getting good new perks and when they get, people are complaining about them. Non of perks you wrote are new.

    Try again.

Maths around MFT are around this forum and ypu should take a look.

I saw this post and i disagreed with them. Math is good but it's just theory of what possible can happen. And it ignores killers have powers and use them on you. RNG can effect your value as well.

Like i said, math is amazing. But it's not reality of what happens in trials.

Hyperfocus, sure, but Reassurance? Non-meta? I... don't have anything more to say on this.

Yes, Reassurance is not meta. Because range is so small for get value from it. For activate it, you need to give health state to killer. This perk is not that good.

You are not seeing it like WoO, Lithe, SB, Adrenaline, OTR etc. Reassurance is good but not that good.

"Allow me to name some unpopular/off-meta perks"

But okay. Recent chapters. Let's do some comparison for perks that are meta from this year's chapters.

    Last Transmission

    Survivor - Made for This

Killer - Nothing. (Don't tell me Forced Hes is a meta perk)

    Tools of Torment

I don't think anyone got anything out of this...

    Forged in Fog

Killers - Nowhere to Hide? It's fallen out a bit since the gen kick meta nerfs. But let's count it.

    RE2

Survivors - Reassurance (and Hyperfocus but that's difficult to use)

Killers - Nothing. In fact, one of the perks got nerfed from PTB.

So killers got 1 perk that had its value diminished with a meta shift, and survivors have gotten 2-3. depending on your PoV.

Reassurance and Hyperfocus are not meta perks. You are seeing them maybe time to time. But meta means, you will see them in most of matches which is not true for perks you mentioned.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

problem is not good perks. it is that survivor base-kit too strong for any good perks. with how survivor base-kit power-level is, survivor need to be itemless and perkless for majority of killer cast but being perkless is not fun for the survivor. that is why their perks are bad.

the funny part is that killer who need perks have crap perks.

Killers have pretty good perks atm.

Corrupt, Pop, PR, Deadlock, DMS, No Way Out, Devour Hope etc.

And i don't think survivor base-kit is that strong anymore. They changed meta to be needed more altruism which is bad for solo survivors.

  • @SirCracken said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/379514/made-for-this-just-proves-survivors-cant-have-good-perk

What a terrible argument to make.

"Most survivor perks are bad therefore it's ok to have a few broken perks"

You should be wanting all perks to be balanced and usable. Not for a select few to be broken and the rest to be trash.

That's the point of post. BHVR is keep releasing garbage perks nobody uses. It's so rare we are getting good perks for survivors and when we got, people are complaining about them.

MfT is not even busted, you can still catch survivor. Because killers have powers to use in chase and Bloodlust exists as well.

The only problem i see, haste perks should not be stackable like how endurance perks are not stacking.

  • Gens are different topic. They can look stats and decide to nerf gen times again if killers have hard time to stop survivors. But for now, they are look like okey with gen times.

But holding 3-gen and making game a hour is never intended. So they are different problems.

I thought reason why survivor would use deja vu is to gen-rush constantly.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3456579#Comment_3456579

Killer players could say the same. survivor gen-rush constantly and 6 minute games are unfun for killer. Survivors often tend to pick farm maps and all these crazy map offerings as well.

Hostaging people in game is different issue than gen-rush.

Devs never intended make matches for a hour which SM players did. They are looking 3-gen issue atm but while we are waiting, they gave us Deja Vu for helping.

So again, blame SM players who did this.

So Pr and CoB got nuke.

And the rest of them i think is the same level of reassurance (B- in your words)

Why are the suddenly becomes great perk for you?

Deadlock is A tier perk. PR is still so good, A tier perk. CoB was meta for long period.

Rest is i agree. But they are good perks.

So killers are getting good and great perks a lot. While survivors got only 2 meta perks in this period: CoH & MfT

I see ,so just like i said, what you wish for is OP game breaking perk like MOM, COH ,Old Ds.

Then yes,i think survivor can't and shouldn't have "great perk".

    Jesus.......

Just for curious, can you list the "great" perk for killer, after Mikaela patch?i kinda wanna know.

Deadlock, Gift of Pain, PR, CoB (before nerf), Nowhere to Hide, Hubris

  • @mustdogen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3456573#Comment_3456573

    I don't know.

    Overzealous?

    Reactive Healing?

    Reassurance?

    Hyperfocus?

Potential Energy?(this one is tricky one, I don't know why nobody used it to counter 3 gen killer.)

    Fogwise?

    Teamwork: Power of Two?

    Blood Rush?

And made for this of course.

All of them are useful perk, some of them are even in my build right now.

Unless the meaning of great perk for you is Op game breaking perk, then yes dev should not make any new "GREAT" perk.

Non of these perks are close to being meta. And most of them are garbage. That's why you are not seeing them in trials so much. Because they have a lot pointless weaknesses.

Reassurance, Fogwise and Hyperfocus are the only good perks (B-tier max) but even they are not great.

  • Blame all SM players who 3-genned and hostaged survivors in game. There was no 3rd option, only 2: play +30 minutes game or give up.

Devs needed to fix this issue and Deja Vu is our band-aid fix

  • @mustdogen said:

Maybe because it is not only a 'good' perk.

You can't really blame for people complaining about a MOM level perk,it just too broken.

And by the way, survivor usually got useful perk nearly every patch, the only reason you may not see people running new perk is because survivor really has too much choice right now but only has four perk slots.

Name one good perk after Mikaela chapter. Because CoH was the only meta perk from newest chapters. After her, non of survivors brought any meta perk until we got Gabriel.

People just hates when survivors gets one good perk.

And no, MfT is not even close to og MoM. You are just overacting.

  • @Rareware0192 said:

To that same token, players have complained endlessly about Call of Brine and/or Eruption when it was strong not that long ago. There’d be endless board topics on Eruption alone.

It’s not that the perk is good. I want there to be good survivor perks too. There’s just a difference between good and overtuned. There’s no reason a survivor perk should be able to give you a decent Haste buff (yes, 3% IS a big difference), on top of an Endurance effect where the only requirement is to be injured (which will happen every single game multiple times) and not exhausted.

Eruption was bad designed perk. It did nothing to SWF but hurt solo-q so much.

CoB was fine tho but i think 3-gen was problem and they would not fix it.

I don't think 3% haste makes this perk busted but alright. People are also complaining about SB and Lithe too. These perks busted too? Or we just should admit the fact? People just want to nerf everything other side have.

  • @Ayodam said:

Well, you aren’t wrong. Survivors always tend to come up short with perks in new chapters.

Yes. Survivors are getting good perks very rarely and when they get, we are seeing a lot people are complaining about it.

I hope the developers don't listen to these pointless complaints. But i know they will because fun can't exists in DbD.

  • If you can injure everyone fast enough and keep them injured, Terminus is pretty decent. It counters Adrenaline and 99'ed gates.

No Way Out is also good perk, you need to get stacks for it tho.

  • Thank you let us know, i am happy for people who was waiting for these charms.

I saw the trailer for the Twisted Masquerade. Pretty good job on the masks and the costumes. The art, as always, looks pretty good. I have just one question though. Has anyone told the costume designers there are more survivors than Feng?

I mean there should be good reason to not make Feng costumes.

I'm happy for you that you get masks for all your favourite survivors.

I like Feng and Nea but I don't play them much

I'm Jill , Kate and Thalita main and they get nothing :(

Kate is best girl of DbD but she is missing another anniversary. No mask for her again :( This is just sad.

They need to give more to Kate.

  • Problem is not with his power. His animation is bugged. He looks like using frenzy when he chase you with m1. From killer pov, probably it's not noticable.

  • Kate... Now i have to wait for another anniversary.

At least Zarina is getting one, i am happy for her

  • They nerfed all good perks because they used so much. This was the worst decision ever they made.

Some perks needed nerfs for sure. Gen-kick meta was so busted. DH was broken. NOED was unhealthy etc.

But why Ruin, Pop, DS, Self-Care, Calm Spirit etc nerfed?

    Why self-heal nerfed?

Why we are still getting very unbalanced maps? And then they are saying they are gonna rebalance maps but when your newest map is unbalanced, it just makes you very questionable.

    Solo-q ignored and keep ignoring.

Terrible 3-gen holder killers released in row 3 times! (Knight, SM and Singularity).

Blight and Nurse are still cheating and breaking all of game rules.

With every new chapter, they are adding another gen speed perk for survivors! Why? Just why?

  • @Quizzy said:

So im pleased with Into The Rainbow charity event. But we need more representation for the characters in the game when other games like overwatch are doing it better. We only have one canon gay character. Even then, that character has been ignored with lack of new cosmetics and no mention, no tweet acknowledging him on pride month.

We need to do better. And its tiresome to see us move at a very slow pace.

We are keep getting original chapters with garbage characters. I think it will be okey if they add another LGBT+ character, at least this will make some people happy.

Next 2 chapters are licensed. So most likely, there will not be content unless if they change existed character.

  • @fulltonon said:

Honestly, LGBTQ+ killer could have some interesting lore, but it may also be extremely hard/dangerous to write up...

Actually there is good way to add LGBT+ killer.

They just can get Sleepaway Camp franchise. Killer is trans girl and i really liked all storyline she has. And plus , we need more slashers in DbD.

  • @Mandy said:

Thanks for the suggestions here, we do have a few changes for the EMP's in particular ready for an upcoming hotfix. We'll be looking at reducing the EMP crates themselves to 4 per map, the generation time increased to 100s (currently 90s), and Survivors will also be slowed whilst charging an EMP by 10% as well as increasing the EMP charge time itself to 2.5s from the current 2s.

Duration of the pod disabling from an EMP will also be decreased down to 45s. There's also some score changes as we noticed Devious points were a little on the low side.

    How do those sound?

I don't wanna be this guy but i don't think this buffs are good enough. Thank you for monitoring him btw but i am hoping you will still watch him after this update come out.

  • Because when they did this last year for Dredge and Haddie, people complained about this. People even said Haddie is not popular because her costume is used for anniversary event lol. If it was on store, more people would play her!

So i think it's more safe to give anniversary costumes to old characters.

  • I watched this video. This Bubba was smart. Ignored them and killed other survivor first. And then come back for them.

But i still believe haste perks should not be stackable. This will fix all issues they have.

Sorry you didn't even get the point and then get this arrogant? Uff.

They didn't talk about Franklin's but the ability to carry normal item AND special item indefinitely aka have an EMP or vaccine always at the ready to use. No decision between normal item and killer specific, no you can carry both.

A net nerf for all those killer in form of decreased passiv pressure those killer are designed around.

I understood his points very clear. But he is wrong about Nemmy and Wesker. Because it was never big deal anyway. It was: use vaccine and take your item back. Now instead of this, they will just hold their items. I don't know how Wesker & Nemmy losing their pressure with these changes, even if they had pressure it was not noticable.

Pinhead is losing a lot pressure, that's true.

Singularity is never intended to do this tho because all system changed because of him.

    @illNicola said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3454806#Comment_3454806

I'm glad you still didn't understand that my comment wasn't about the Franklin's change, since it's not this big problem, but the fact that survs can carry killer unique items with them as a "secondary object". So for example i can bring with myself a toolbox and the box of Pinhead.

Nemesis is like my fourth main I think, and of course you're right. If they get healed in front of you, you have plenty of time to punish them, as it should be.

Nemesis will survive, sure, but trust me it will suffer this. If a surv can carry BOTH the vaccine and a medkit or a toolbox with them, you infect them and if you don't tunnel, they can be healed at any time without having to go find the chest, open it and take the vaccine, removing a thing that slowed survivors mid game.

I hope you understand now what I mean.

Like i said, i don't think it's big deal to hold their items with killer items. I don't think i got pressure from it. Because they never use vaccine on my face, they are just using it when they are safe. If you tunnel them, they won't have time to use it anyway. So i just don't think this is big deal.

But maybe i am wrong. Maybe this will come back with some decent buffs , who knows? I'd like to see full add-on pass for Nemmy.

  • I did actually, i read everything you wrote. Even after the part when you said this: " I think the one who suffers the most is Nemesis, since in this way the survivors are able to heal themselves from the virus much more easily."

This is just not true at all. Using vaccine has not short animation time. So you have enough time to punish survivor if they are doing this to your face. If you can't, this is skill issue my man.

And if they are not doing this to your face, there is no different than before. They were using vaccine and then taking their items back. And now they will just hold their item on their hand instead of taking it back. I am sure Nemesis will survive after that lol.

Franklin changes affect only one killer (Pinhead) and it's okey.

  • @illNicola said:

The real problem with this isn't the fact that Franklin demise won't work anymore with Killer unique items, the problem is that survs now are more safe against these killers.

They can carry the box of Pinhead around, removing a BIG part of his power. They can carry vaccines against Nemesis and sprays against Wesker and heal themselves from the viruses in any moment. And, at the same time, they keep their medkits, their toolboxes and so on.

Obviously killers didn't receive anything to compensate this buff against these killers.

I think the one who suffers the most is Nemesis, since in this way the survivors are able to heal themselves from the virus much more easily.

Even Pinhead is affected, since they can take the box hostage. Since surv complained about Pinhead taking the box hostage (and devs rightly nerfed it), at this point put that if a survivor has the box with him and doesn't open it in 10 seconds, the box disappears and the chain hunt starts. Also put that the box cannot be dropped, so as to prevent the survs from picking it up and throwing it on the ground.

Wesker honestly doesn't suffer from it, let's face it who the ######### has ever managed to max the infection of the Ouroboros against strong survivors? Also considering that when you get hooked the infection is halved. I personally managed it maybe 5 times, and still putting a lot of pressure to the point that they just physically couldn't find the time to heal themselves from the Ouroboros

As Nemesis main , you are just wrong. I never needed Franklin on him. It used mostly by Pinhead mains for obvious reasons.

    Come with better arguments.

With this logic no perk is too strong.

CoB wasn't free regression, you needed perk slot for it, right?

It just doesn't work like that.

Removing haste effect will just kill this perk. Endurance effect is very situational and bad.

After Mikaela, this is the first time we got decent survivor perk and everyone are already complaining about it.

  • Haste perks should not be stacked or at least there should be cap for it.

Perk is by itself just fine.

  • How it's free when you use perk slot for it? And you can't use it with exhaustion perks.

Endurance effect is pretty situational, i never got value from it. If they remove haste effect and keep it as endurance perk, this perk will be garbage like most of perks.

Yeah really, I don't see any problem in actually start penalizing SWF, nerf the base capability of survivors by a lot, nerf blight/nurse, as long as they ACTUALLY do all those things with proper balancing rules.

If there is way to nerf SWF without hurting Solo-q, i am all with you.

  • Except Pinhead, non of item-based killers used Franklin anyway. And it's okey to kill Pinhead's this strategy. Box did not supposed to get that easily by killer.

Thanks for perfectly explaining how broken this perk is, all your text helped me understand this perk shouldn't exist.

Statistically they aren't a problem even in high MMR but eh why not? I mean let's be real, it's literally unbelievable they are not yet nerfed to oblivion.

If we look stats, OoO needed buff. If we look stats, Nurse never needed any nerfs. If we look stats, Trapper was just fine.

But this is not the case, you know.

If we are just nerfing something because of high mmr players, then we need to nerf Nurse & Blight as well. If we are going with this way, both sides will get same judgment.

    No.

    First of all.

You don't really need be great player to gain value.

Even if you only use this for shift W you can still gain more than 20% longer distance.

And when longer distances comes to looping.........

    It just broken.

Then "No" to you as well.

You can't nerf only one side. Devs can't risk to favor one side.

Like how you are asking for survivor nerfs, some people will ask killer nerfs as well. And this will happen too. Blight is probably the next one.

  • This killer is Trickster v2.

Do anyone remember how terrible was Trickster at release? And they teased Resident Evil chapter for make us forget about this failure.

This killer has same problem. They can't buff him so much because obviously he will be so busted. But they can't leave him as how he is because he is garbage atm.

So i assume this killer will be like Trickster. He will get some buffs but he will never feel good enough.

You wrote a whole lot but don't seem to understand the biggest advantage you get. It's not just a distance thing. If you're a good survivor, the 3% haste is a massive boost in strong loops. It really hurts Huntress in high level play where you already had to run loops almost perfectly to get a hit.

So good survivors can get good value from this perk, let's nerf it?

Alright, let's nerf Nurse & Blight as well. Because good killers have amazing value from them.
