I don't know about you guys, but I'm a console player in brown ranks because I don't play 24/7 and I'm pretty good as Wraith and Legion.
-
Wraith! I don't use him often because I'm a survivor main through and through, but when I do play killer it's just for funsies and usually Wraith! Second is Ghostface and third is Legion.
-
From what I can see it's just where survivors are prioritising gens then? And not doing anything else, which is where the problem starts I guess. The only counter I could think of as well is to make gens slower...?
-
Okay, these actually make sense now that I think about it. So Gen Rush is just when survivors ignore every other objective they have and just do gens- turns out, since I only play solo, this is actually really frustrating for me too π€¦π»ββοΈif I get hooked early and they just leave me till 2nd hook or let me die is always annoying...
-
In the movies they were 17-18ish? Legion are teens too, but DBD Ghostface is mid 20s I think.
-
My favourite Slasher! Also the closest to my age aside from Legion.
P.S the first slasher horror was Black Christmas, change my mind.

X-Box doesn't have a post-game chat and we rarely get any messages at all, and there's also less teabagging and #########? That doesn't speak for literally facecamping or outright tunneling, because on X-Box the real toxic ass holes are killers. Including myself.

i also like swimming, but I wouldn't put on a diving suit and go deep underwater
I suppose that's where we're different. I'm pretty fond of the ocean and the creatures in it, and if I could I'd probably own an underwater house or stay in an underwater hotel or something.
-
(un?)popular opinion, I actually loathe the idea of adding any creepypasta or fnaf character to the game. When I first saw my aunts playing DbD it scared me, they tried to get me to try it and I was terrified the entire time.
And FnaF and Slenderman... Don't scare me. Creepypasta in general doesn't scare me, and FnaF has never been something I would consider scary in any particular way. To me it seemed like a cheap way for youtubers to get views because little kids LOVED it, and if little kids enjoy it... It ain't scary unless it's Tim Burton.
-
Huh, y'alls are really interesting fears because I'm less afraid of them and more so interested by them. Caves? I'd absolutely love to explore a cave. The ocean? I love swimming, it's relaxing, although I admit I stand at ankle-depth and am immediately terrified of potential jellyfish.
Cooked fruit in pies... Ah, I can get behind that one. Fruit in general in any food that is supposed to be sweet. Like raisins in chocolate. Not a good look, yeah?
But no, my fear is actually the dark. My mom and step-dad watched either Darkness Falls or The Tooth Fairy when I was a child (whichever one it is that she can't go into the light) and I happened to come in at a particularly scary part where it was revealed that if you stayed in the light you couldn't be hurt, and ever since I've been petrified of the dark.

Azazel did rule over the demons, even if he never officially served as King of Hell. Casey mentioned that he held all the demons together, despite being a tyrant.
Also, there's only one Alpha per monster species. That's what Alpha means, it's the first of the species. The Alpha Vampire would be a good fit, I always felt he was underutilized. He's gotta be well over a million years old, since he was around before humans discovered fire.
That makes sense actually, I can picture him being a tyrant to the point of people following him out of fear.
Also, the alpha vampire was really good! I thought he should have lasted a lot longer and shouldn't have been taken out by some random hunters that were thousands of years younger than him. He should definitely have been more powerful than they portrayed him.

Obviously he wasn't all-powerful. Even Amara isn't all-powerful, and she's the most powerful being in all of existence. Chuck is, well, Chuck. Not really a fair comparison, it's like comparing an atom to the sun. Among the demons, however, Azazel was definitely one of the most powerful. Demon Dean and Cain don't count because their invulnerability came from Amara.
Suppose so. Still, there are definitely more powerful villains and such, and as far as I remember Azazel didn't rule over the demons, that was Crowley, although I could be wrong. Also, Dick Roman was like king of the leviathans or something. Maybe one of the alpha vampires then? I'm not sure, but I'd be happy with even just a Bunker Map and Sam and Dean as survivors.
Also, I think my ideas were pretty good :)

The early seasons were really fun for sure. I think a lot of shows suffer from weaker seasons if the show is dragged out for too long, which happened to SPN a few times lol. But with all that monster hunting, theyβd fit right in with DBD. Similar to Ash and Bill π
Totally! I miss the times they went up against ghosts and #########, they only faced one wendigo for like the entire show- which was what? 15 seasons long? To say I was disappointed was an understatement.
But yeah, their show would really fit in! And it'd bring a lot of publicity to the game, since SPN has... A HUGE fandom

Azazel scared every demon that walked the Earth (and some that didn't), which is how he kept them all in line. He didn't just set women on fire after pinning them to the ceiling.
Oh yeah of course, but he wasn't like all powerful. The Leviathan, Lucifer, Amara, Abbadon, Cain, Michael, Chuck- I'd even consider Demon Dean more powerful, he somehow managed to escape runes and ######### specifically made for demons.
It would be interesting to see a Survivor Dean and Soulless Sam as killer though, albeit I'm not sure everyone would be happy with that

for killer, maybe the scarecrow? I think heβd be pretty creepy. Or the wendigo with the map being the underground caves.
I miss the time when they went up against different crestures every episode. It very quickly became just about Demons and Angels and I lost interest after season :/

Azazel is too powerful. He'd have to be nerfed so hard it'd be like playing a bodybuilder and calling him "Superman".
Azazel was probably the least powerful of all of the "main enemies" they faced. He set some ladies on fire, scary.
-
I figure either Dick Roman or Azazel.
For Azazel, I suppose his ability would be akin to something like supernatural speed or strength. I imagine it would be something like Ghost face/Myers. Actually I have a few ideas for Azazel! i.e he has to "stalk" you for a certain amount of time (uninterrupted) and it could put you into the injured state, and it has a cooldown until he can use it again. His main attack I suppose would be to hit you with a weapon (I think in John's body he attacked Dean with a crowbar or a fire poker), and his mori would be to lift the survivor into the air by the neck and they would burst into flames and be thrown to the ground.
Though I don't have many ideas for the leviathan aside from his mori being something to do with the weird mouth thing.

Because of one man... You'll know him, he used to have massive influence over the community (similarly to Tru3 now, ironically) and he mained Claud.
I can see why that would be frustrating, since they're not even trying to help, but I rarely come across anyone like that in game. I guess it's because I'm usually green-yellow ranks (made it to purple ONE time π)
And to be fair, I don't actually know who you're on about. I don't watch Tru3 either. I used to watch Monto and Noob3, but now I mainly watch Otz.

The reason for that is because people hate that sheβs to dark and can blend in better in maps then the rest of the characters.Another reason for people hating claudette is because she is used in what people call toxic by but dancing at the exit gates. But in reality any user who plays as any of the character does it they just donβt want to admit it so they blame Claudette mains.
A little stupid, not gonna lie. What do they want them to do, wear the brightest outfits so that they get caught? It's like literally asking someone to stand in front of a murderer and not move or try to fight back.
But yeah, as for teabagging at the exit gate, I have seen more megs do it than claudettes- though, I've actually seen pretty much every character do it. I don't understand.

The reason claudettes get the hate, well specifically Blendettes is because they are intentionally picking the darkest character in the darkest outfit for an advantage.
If itβs a Claudette in her pink or blue outfits, or even that awful dress then itβs different. I wonβt go as far as to mori them, but if you ever watch Tofu stream he brings a mori anytime the lobby had a blendy in it
I mean I get it, but I don't. Why does it matter? If it helps to guarantee survival, which is the Survivor's main objective, why should they be persecuted for it?
That being said, my cousin plays as a Claudette because she relates to the character, being mixed ethnicity. Why should she have to wear the brightest clothing? It only makes them stick out, and that's kind of stupid and literally goes against their objective?
-
Not sure about this one- I found I don't play like the others in the game, I play because it's fun and I'm a competitive person, so PvP gaming is right up my alley, and I'm an avid fan of horror.
Because I'm so competitive, I guess I don't think I'm entitled to the hatch? I just play how you're supposed to (no teabagging on my end either, at the end of a game I'll just leave, and as for clicky clicks I'm PISS POOR with flashlights, so I don't bring them or pick them up out of chests).
But the fact that some people think they are entitled to the hatch is mind-boggling, especially on a PvP game where the killer's main objective is to kill you.
Though I have to ask, why the Claudette hate? It baffles me that a simple avatar can invoke such hate.

Not correct. Urban Evasion is not faster than walking.
Walking speed = 56.5%
Urban Evasion (tier 3) = 56.5%
When I use Urban Evasion which yes, is t3, it's faster. Don't know if that's a bug or what, but yknow. Although I didn't research it, so it might just look it to me. Not sure.
-
Strangely, Urban Evasion. At this point it should be a well-known fact that crouching in certain situations can literally save lives, and Urban Evasion makes you faster while crouching- to the point that actually, it's faster to crouch instead of walk. So yeah, I use Urban Evasion and Balanced Landing most of the time, probably paired with Self-Care and Borrowed Time.
-
It's very dependant on your deduction ability, to be frank. You need to be able to guess or estimate where the survivor is going and when, and to do that you also need to evaluate the playstile of the survivor in question. As someone who doesn't main Nurse, I don't know exactly, but here are some tips and tricks I know from when I do play her for daily rituals.
- A survivor will almost always run to a pallet. If you blink to the other side of the pallet, especially when already hit, it's easy to down.
- Know how to control your blink range! Long blinks are long distance, short blinks are short distance etc. If someone is ahead of you by a few steps, it might be worth your while to wait for the bloodlust rather than blink and swing.
- Don't wait for the gasp! Blink and hit immediately.
- Mind games are your element and map pressure is your toy. Use it to your advantage. Fake a left and strike right, fake around a corner then swing back etc. Cheesy, but they work. Map pressure is harder, because of the blink, but it means you can get to each gen quicker than any other killer in the map. That is a huge advantage for you and a huge disadvantage to a survivor.
- Don't pay attention to 'toxic perks' and whatnot. Barbecue and Chili & A Nurse's Calling are the best perks you can use on her. Aura reading is yours and you have the right to use it.
-

Ya, and the entire map is full of pallets and strong structures, so it either needs to be smaller or lose a bunch of pallets. Literally the most survivor sided map in the game btw.
I'd say it's more to do with the clutter. There's a lot of space for survivors to hide, to loop, vault etc. It's also the brightest, which makes survivors stand out more. Though to be fair, Lampkin Lane and Yamaoka Estate are probably far more survivor-biased.
-
@Mr_Slick546 said:
Ormond needs to be smaller, all farm maps need half their corn removed, Crotus Prenn Asylum needs to lose one of the 2 main building window loops.
Ormond is actually only 6th largest, so somewhere in the middle.
-
Lampkin Lane is a bit of a stickler for the Devs, I think. It's definitely survivor-biased, but it's also one of the rarer maps, so I don't believe it's top priority due to that. That being said, it's also a map with a licensed chapter, so I'm fairly certain not much editing can be done to it, but I could be wrong. Not a dev, after all.
Though personally, maps I hate depend on what I'm playing as.
As a killer in Cold wind Farm, I'm completely blind in the corn. It's so hard to see, and it takes up like 80% of the map. It's kind of balanced in retrospect, since neither survivor nor killer can see anything at all. Paired with that, it's a huge map, and without a killer with map pressure, survivors are all but guaranteed an escape.
Mount Ormond is extremely light, which makes survivors (particularly Claudette, Adam and Tapp) stand out, however this is countered by the sheer amount of clutter across the mapfor survivors to hide behind, but this also makes it an opportune map for The Legion, Freddy, Pig (with the right buyables)and Ghostface, since they're all shorter characters or can crouch behind the objects. That being said, Ormond's amount of brightness means that bloodstains are particularly saturated and stand out more, although scratch marks are less visible. Combatting this, the fog makes it viable for both survivors and killers to hide, though with the right aura reading perks this is counterable pretty easily. Overall, it's not a very large map and is made to seem larger by the main building in the middle.
Family Residence. Now that is a #########. It's extremely dark, opportune for Claudette, Adam and Tapp, but that also makes it opportune for the darker or shorter killers, especially paired with the extreme clutter and foliage. Such killers include The Shape, Ghostface, The Wraith (due to his cloak), The Pig, The Spirit (her ability), Freddy and Deathslinger. Paired with this, it's one of the biggest maps on the whole game, and again with a killer without map pressure it's almost impossible to get a hit, let alone even find a survivor.

I'm not a big horror buff myself, and I haven't played F13, so I wouldn't really know, but I do think completing the 'Big 3' is a worthwhile goal for DBD. They've done some good stuff with killer powers in the past, so I'd hope they'd be able to do any new ones justice. I've heard the devs saying some very promising things about the new chapter, so hopefully it will be awesome either way π
Oh yeah, either way I think the community has very high expectations whether it be Jason or not! I just assumed they might wait until after the lawsuit to gain his license is all.

People don't really understand that whining doesn't do anything and that includes me
True true, from what you've said a little bit of game-blame is probably the best I can get on a PvP then. But yeah, I don't play a lot of PvP so you're right (usually I'm very ######### at the game and rage quit because I'm just embarrassing myself, I think I'm at least acceptable as a Wraith and Nea on here though, albeit I haven't prestiged any characters yet, so I've got a lot to come).

Someone please explain, I don't see the problem.
-
@illusion said:
The problem is that the game naturally divides the game into two factions, survivor mains and killer mains (those that play both are forced into one of those categories, depending on their opinion on the specific topic). Since mains don't play the other side, they are completely clueless about the real situations. They complain about what they don't like and attack anyone that tries to explain the other side to them. They also don't like to adapt to new things, so if they don't like it, instead of trying to play around it, they just come here to whine and ask for a nerf.
Yeah, I had noticed, and it's incredibly annoying at best. The stubbornness it takes to reach that level of ignorance is astounding
@Fibijean said:

Well, like I said, blaming other people is the easiest thing to do and it makes people feel better about themselves and their loss. Often trying to explain what they did wrong or why they shouldn't complain doesn't help and just makes them feel worse, so it's generally best to ignore it and let them vent, I find.
I understand what you mean about Candyman, though a lot of people are going to be very disappointed if it is him because while he may be a classic in some circles, he's not considered iconic universally. The way they've talked about it makes me think Jason is really the only character big enough to live up to the hype, but then there are all the bee puns, so I'm torn. I think either it's Candyman and people are going to be disappointed, or it's Jason and all the Candyman hints were misdirects. Guess we'll find out soon π
Yeah, that's a good tactic. At this rate I'll become that stupid 'I pretend I do not see it' meme that I see all over discords.
Personally, I really want it to be Candyman. He's a classic where I come from, my step-dad and I are religiously waiting for the day it's released (his birthday), but Jason is top-tier slasher horror, he's the last of the Big Three that DBD needs and it's a very hard decision, though for me it boils down to the fact that Jason already had his own game where his powers would be less limited and... Yeah, I'm not gonna debate with myself, but I just don't see how a game with limited powers can live up to, well, Jason. They got Freddy and Michael well enough because all they know is 'stabby mcstab', but Jason... Just did more than that.

GG EZ! π On a serious note I think negativity is pretty normal in PVP game forums as that's where two opposite sides can discuss about how "unfair" the other side is.
I'm (for instance) posting in Borderlands forums as well and everyone seems chill with each other since the PVP aspect is non-existent so everyone basically wants the same thing when it comes to changes, buffs and sometimes nerfs.
I could obviously be wrong, though.
Well, yeah. I can see how PvP would cause tensions to run high, since it puts everyone against everyone in the search of completing their agendas. Still, why the perk-slamming? I mean, it was designed in a way that puts the opposing player at an advantage, and in the end, that's all that perks are. It does the same thing but in a different way. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Whining is fun. It passes the time, it gets you attention, and if you've got some wit, you can learn more about how to structure arguments better for future whining endeavors. Quite the wholesome activity compared to other things.
That and we've got a lot of teenagers or 20 somethings around here with nothing better to do. Or more appropriately, no motivation to do anything else. I suppose I fall into that category myself.
I guess I don't understand because I don't have the incessant, nonsensical need to constantly have attention, then. I mean, I can whine myself (as we can see) but that's really only when something has annoyed me THAT much. Albeit I am slotted neatly into that 'teenagers and 20-somethings' category, so I could play on that if I wanted to. Maybe you're right and I should start whining more.

True I suppose, but it's so irritating. I understand the need to vent, games are huge tension builders, but a lot of the time it's... Not a genuine problem? For example, calling DS 'op' but it's only useable once is farfetched at best, and BBQ and Chili with it's 7 counters is just stupid.

It's a used concept. Maybe the old 'We have a Clown' is used, cheap and cheesy, but it's the most true. It wouldn't make any sense to have two clowns, and because of that, they'd try to use a different form- a spider form, perhaps? Which goes against everything we currently know about DBD killers. They are all bipedal, and a spider isn't.
It doesn't make sense to introduce a new clown and just take any remaining attention away from our current one and then have to buff him to regain attention. That's exactly what happened to Michael Myers with Ghostface, and Freddy Krueger with The Spirit (and by that, I meant both of them had a point where they literally could not be seen at all and had no heartbeat).
