Because survivors believe they have already won, so they start to waste time and farm points other than gen repair.
I've lost count of the number of games thrown for this reason, I would rather lose a game after 2 minutes instead of in this way. -

I am curious then. How would you fix the issue posited in this thread? Do you think it's one at all?
I don't see any issue here. As someone already said all killers are viable but at the same time some of them are more viable than others because you can't expect all (+30) to perform equally, you will never be able to bring them all to the same level, you can reduce the gap but no matter how small it is it will never be 0, and honestly I don't see a problem.

This is what happens when people optimize a game and the Devs don't give any sort of compensation or changes to older map design, unfortunately. Twenty billion filler pallets and Killers with high mobility.
They have been literally halving 90% of the maps for years and also adding trash tiles/tiles to them as sort of compensation but ok, maybe this community will never be able to be satisfied until the map is bigger than the shack.

Haddonfield should be prioritized again.

Comments in this thread are just proving OP's point.

I honestly see more threads about people complaining about Survivors complaining about Hook Respawns than actual Survivors complaining about it.
lmao so true.
I have yet to see a thread of someone complaining about hook respawns, on the contrary it is full of them. -
Absolutely not.
Anything that leads to a free hit because you don't feel like learning how to play a killer properly has to stop.
Fortunately it will happen with the knight and was partially reduced with vecna, thank god it also happened with chucky and i don't see why implement it again. -
Singularity got buffs everywhere in the same patch even though it is an already top killer : devs are surv sided.
-
He must be the same person that thinks this is fair and it shouldn't be bannable 🤣
-
His turn rate is insanely braindead now, it should be reverted.
-
Bite the bullet has always been useless.

Are you one of those who like to waste other people's time because of inner frustration?

I don't quite understand the logic here. There will still be situations where picking up the survivor is the bad move.
If a survivor goes down at a pallet and the killer knows there's flashlights, background player or suspects Flip Flop/Power Struggle, slugging is still the smart move.
I had a game where there was one survivor left, they were downed at a pallet and have been downed for a while. I'd be crazy to pick them up and risk FF/PS and them escaping, it's much smarter to wait till they bleed out.
I'm talking about 1v1 situations where the killer stands over the survivor with the intention of not hooking them for no reason. -
Difficult to judge, his power is currently bugged and he's kind of a menace.
-
At this point I think the reduction of hooks is needed, or at least increasing the distance between them.
-
Knight update is perfect, dropping a guard to deny a loop and getting a free hit was one of the most brainded things ever

It took BHVR two weeks to fix the bug that made Blight not fatigue when breaking a pallet with his power, a bug that affected survivors. Yet, the bug that makes Blight perform his fatigue animation twice is still going strong after how many years? Three? Despite hundreds of reports and content creators calling it out, BHVR has never shown any interest in fixing it, not even acknowledging it.
I guess bugs only become a priority when they affect survivors?
Literally 4 years to fix Blight's hug tech. But sure, whatever it makes you feel better.

People who defend this combo are the same ones who complain about Distortion, which serves precisely to prevent such perks from going out of control.
-
Thank god they made two different queues for the anniversary this year.
The Twisted Masquerade's one is awful to play as survivor, killers have too much power. -

I just need to talk it out, because this thing has been on my mind for a month now because of how dumb it is.
"… conditions to activate it aren’t very difficult". I understand that devs needed some sore reason to describe this Pop nerf, but this is such a spit in the face. Saying this about one of the most demanding on activation perks is just a mockery of killers or complete misunderstanding of their own game. And I just want to compare it to some things on survivor side, which I see every game, because, once again, win some time, like many other things, allowed only for survivors and arrow turns exclusively in only one direction, when it comes to balance discussions.
So to activate Pop killer needs:- Find chase
- Win chase
- Hook survivor (and it's a challenge now in some matches, thanks to sabo buff)
- Find a gen, which at least has 50% of progress to win ~15-20s on average
And that without keeping in mind that you should pray that gen won't be poped into your face; that you will find a chase before using it and need to decide to lose perk value or ignore chase; that you simply won't have time to go check all gens after hook unless you are high mobility killer in most matches on majority of maps.
So let's compare this insanely easy to activate perk to things that require a crazy amount of work to buy time on survivor side:
Syringe: Press M2+Space to win 24-32 seconds.
Toolboxes: Bring item to win 10-20 sec. Add BNP to win even more.
Exhaustions: Do usual chase to buy 15-20 sec on average to it. (Easily can win a lot more)
Bring Medkit + Syringe + Exhaustion and it's already 1 gen time value during the match. It's one survivor value.
So don't forget folks: killer bringing 4 slowdowns = overpowered.
Survivors bring over 300sec of time savers/wasters = balanced and allowed.
I don't complain about slowdown nerf, since I don't play and sweat to win in most cases anyway, so slowdown is just a tool for me, with which I get more chases. I complain about devs allow themselves to make statements that are so far from reality and no doubt extremely biased. I complain about community's hypocrisy (what is understandable, because survivors are majority), that extremes should always be banned/nerfed on one side, but they can safely exist on the other for long years.
Thanks. Just needed to say it.Old Eruption, CoB, Overcharge, NWTH meta requirements :
-Kick a gen
Ultimate Weapon insane requirement :
-Open a Locker
But bet you were one of those who defended these perks to the hilt because when it comes to double standars you'all are the best.
Also, you are comparing a perk that requires you to just play the game with 1 add-on and 1 item, are you serious? -

The downstairs area of the the new map is so ridiculously strong for survivors it's not worth chasing them down there.
Downstairs are the only good thing about this map honestly, everything else is total rubbish for survivors.
-
Yea it's literally impossible.
This map has many design issues. -
It's not useless. Learn to play it properly before spouting nonsense.
-
This map is unplayable as survivor. Weren't the myriad feedbacks enough?

I am going to say it now : we'll definitely have a new problem of free hits with Mage Hands.

Survivors in a party having conversations like the killer is on me finish the gens. ‘’The killer chased me off my gen go finish it’’. He’s going to killer shack watch out. He’s going to main. He left me he’s going back to your gen. I’m going to go for the safe you two stay on gens. He’s on me I can’t go for the save one if you two have to go for it and the other stay on the gen. We all are injured let’s reset. He’s tunneling it’s ok I have DS don’t worry about me. Take a hit for me I’m right near you? I’m under a pallet is anyone near?
You have to opportunity to face one group of decent survivors and not those poor bots in SoloQ for once, use this chance to learn from your mistakes and to deal with average loopers.
And don't forget that you still have a 52% chance of winning the game. -
If you are talking about a common SwF, therefore of medium level, except the bottom ones basically any killer.
If you are talking about an high level SwF (3% of cases), only a Nurse, Blight, Spirit and maybe an Hillbilly (everyone main). -
Let's start making Items, Add-Ons and Offering randomized as well, or at most not accessible.

I’m still at work lol. I honestly think it might have been only that day and we missed it for good. But the day reset isn’t till 8PM EST so I won’t know until then.
"Logging in at least once each week will even get you a piece of 2 full Outfits for The Huntress and Meg Thomas", this is right from BHVR official site, Before the Masquerade section.

I was playing the live version all day yesterday and didn’t get it. I uninstalled the PTB just to try and get the cosmetic lol.
Any news? I have the same problem
-
Too many requirements.
-
Open the gate yourself if it bothers you so much
-
I am sorry to tell you this, but this is a blatant case of a skill issue.
I think Wesker (if the future update goes through) is the most balanced and fun killer in the entire game, it's obvious that it requires a bit of manual dexterity in the beginning, like all killers after all, but once you've acquired it it's pretty far from being poor or clunky -
There is not a single thing you have listed that is even remotely op/broken
-
I laughed out loud as soon as I saw it.

Yeah, this perk can be nice with SWF, as coordinated people will take advantage of the fact the invocation speeds up for every person that joins it.
I have yet to see a single SwF use this incredible perk though, how come?
-
I haven't seen a sabo squad since the stone age.
-
Finally unskilled killers will be forced to focus on improving their skills instead of relying on hand-holding broken perks.
Also they have been buffing every killer (even in this update) for a hell of a long time while shrunking and weakining every map.
If you feel these changes are unhealthy, just admit that you are bad at the game at this point. -
Don't worry, you have another hook placed 2 meters further ahead.
-
It's a perk that doesn't require any activation from the killer, also 5 seconds are practically nothing.
-
Not a huge fan, the red was a peculiar element of the map that will now resemble other existing maps. I think they simply had to lower the intensity of it.
-
Too much time has passed, it's about time they were nerfed.
-
This is overall a healthy update.
If you don't think so, you really don't want this game to be in a good and balanced state.
-
They really can't stop from nerfing at least one unwarranted thing for survivors in every update.
-
TCM has a VC and nobody complains about it.
For those who don't want to deal with it, simply turn off the microphone/sound, it's that simple
-
Play as you like because they will always have something to complain about, killers would cry a river regardless so I couldn't care less.
-
There is literally nothing on this map to work with, can you please explain what your intentions were with this rework?
-
Revert Adrenaline, look at my thread
-
Completely overbuffed, Twins were already a top tier killer and now they are stronger with the slugging problem even more present

Getting healed immediately off the hook at endgame to ensure a free escape was insanely broken. This nerf was well-deserved and a long time coming. The only people whining about this are those who got spoiled with undeserved escapes for years and years.
Double standard at its finest.
Your definition of 'undeserved escape' is completely fallacious, since survivors have to play well to get to the endgame, unlike the killer.
Imagine being so bad that the bhvr rewards you with your 'deserved pity kill' by not making the survivors activate the perk because otherwise you wouldn't be able to do anything, how does it feel to be so humiliated?
