If you want more people to play Bubba, you're doing a great job.
By not abandoning a teammate or by using builds designed to counter camping and tunnelling?

I raise another point.
Why do killers dodge people?
Is it because SWF makes the game unbalanced and unfun? yes.
Is it because certain players are incredibly toxic to verse? so people check their profile to make sure they're not the same person? absolutely.
If anything this shows some of the main problems in the game, SWF and toxicity.
But survivors don't get to know if they are facing a toxic killer.

How wonderful that there's an option to hide info on your profile so people can't see who your friends are or how many hours you have.
I mean, what's the complaint here? That ticking a couple settings in your profile is too hard?
There is something seriously wrong if the game encourages people to hide their profile.
-
It raises the point.
Killers should not be able to see survivor items or check their profiles.
If I'm allowed switch at the last second I'm already able to stop them setting up to counter my item.
Checking Steam profiles let's killers know if its SWF and how many hours someone has played. Killers don't need that information.
-
No.
We use Borrowed Time and DS. We'll save the first one and try escape. If you manage to get the rescuer, we will heal the DS user and they'll go for the next save. Add in other people bodyblocking and we should be fine.
We usually manage to get everyone out in these circumstances.

Dedicated survors for killer hit latency issues duh.
I never nerd of the sloppy wraith what was that ?
For months if a Wraith hit you with Sloppy Butcher the blood effect would stay for the whole time you were injured. Consoles couldn't handle that and the lag meant you could hardly play.
Obviously that meant almost every Wraith you played had Sloppy.

looks like you have to "try" now instead on relying on your teamates.
I'm a rank 1. I play against rank 1 killers with teammates who are below that level. I'm already forced to pull more than my fair share of the weight.
And it doesn't look that way at all. The devs aren't going to make stupid changes like this. Drive away friends and the game sees a massive drop in popularity.
-
I, and my SWFs, will not play the game if SWF has any debuffs.
I play with two players who aren't top players. Give us debuffs like we're a 4 man rank 1 team and the fun will be gone.

If the killer makes mistakes.
If the killer doesn't miss swings they will get bloodlust and catch them eventually.

It's never been easier.
II play in a 4 man SWF. Myself and another player always got rank 1. Player 3 hit rank 5 once and Player 4 hit rank 8 as their highest. This is after hundreds of hours of playtime btw.
In the past couple of months they have both set personal bests. The Rank 5 hit Rank 1 while the Rank 8 made it to Rank 5.
-
I 'pretend' to AFK with NOED, Rancor and Bloodwarden to get kills.
Survivors will get gens done, open the door and come play with the AFK killer. Once Endgame passes half way, I insta down with either NOED, or Rancor if they did totems. I get the hook and now they are trapped until Endgame will kill them.
-
Considering most recent dlc perks are crap and unusable, I don't think it's a concern for them.
After Crossplay, Server Improvements, Graphical Update and Matchmaking change, maybe a total rework of Perks should be the next project.
Take the perks with less than 1% use and try make them useful.

Because not everyone in the world follows soccer. Hell, I don't give one care about soccer, don't follow it, and don't know a single team or player for it. I follow American Football, and get my news directly from the NFL website, so wouldn't even stumble on soccer related reporting.
Nothing against soccer or its fans, just not for me. So, don't assume everyone would know about that player, just like I don't assume everyone in the U.S. follows the NFL.
A significant amount more people follow football than any other sport. And Messi is the biggest name among them.
I'd expect even people who aren't fans to know about him. He's a bigger name than Trump.

Hmm, let me see. Console has HUGE fps drops, no optimisation, and low fps. PC has, stretched resolution, mouse and keyboard, high fps and hacks. If that isn't a significant advantage, I don't know what is.
Console killers have huge FPS drops, survivors don't. Most "fps drops" you see on DBD are server related and both PC and console have this issue.
Stretched Res and hacks are not very common and considered cheating. you know cheaters can already force themselves in console lobbies?
Mouse and Keyboard doesn't provide a huge advantage in DBD like it would a twitch shooter. For survivors there is practically no advantage one way or the other.
The game is hardly optimized on PC either. The new graphics might fix that on all systems.

I'm pretty sure they do. But I do not have a pc to proof it. But many streamers that play pc say there is with movement differences from keyboard to controllers
For survivor there is practically no difference.
A PC killer that relies on aim like Huntress can be better than a console Huntress but they are never competing against each other so it doesn't matter. It's not like any of those killers are OP on PC anyway.

Some people believe PC players to have an advantage over Controller players.
I have played with both, im not convinced, but some people do.
They have already stated it's all or nothing. You cannot pick and choose what platform you crossplay with.

Teabagging is a few seconds wasted time that only impacts the killer if they let it impact them.
Camping is a killer giving up their chance of winning to ruin a survivors game.
They aren't exactly similar.

I have no idea who the hell Messi is but I'm assuming it's a sport related thing since you like making nonsensical comparisons to sports, so I'll consider that irrelevant and move on.
Yes, one survivor escaping is a "win," for that one survivor. Because survivors aren't responsible for everybody else escaping. I don't give a damn how much you care about bloodpoints.
Once again, I don't give a rat's ass how many times I've called survivors a "team." It's because it's an easy thing to refer to them to, not because I think that all of them must work with each other. ######### point, stop wasting my time by bringing it up. No amount of quoting my history and bringing it up is going to make what I'm saying wrong: the survivors don't have to help each other if they don't want to. If you disagree, make an actual point against it or cry me a river. Cry the devs a river too.
It's ironic again that you bring up the whole "some people will argue with anything" when you're literally arguing just for the sake of arguing. You still refuse to actually address how survivors are responsible for each other. All you've done so far is make snide remarks and try to criticize my choice of words of all things. You're so hung up on this whole "team" thing that you're forgetting to make any sort of relevant comeback toward my main point: which is that it's completely allowed for people to look out for themselves whether you like it or not -- the whole essence of why this game isn't a team game. I've explained it to you in detail but all you do is make useless points about completely unrelated things like BP and #########. That has nothing to do with the game being comparable to basketball. Go search through my whole entire flippin' comment history if you want and look for every example you can think of where I said "team" -- it doesn't mean you're right.
And about those quotes, practically any time I say something along the lines of "stick the game out" is replying to somebody who's bitching about going against a killer they don't like, or a survivor that said they killed themselves really early on into the game, or a killer who said that they disconnected because the survivors were doing "toxic" things like "looping." There's a clear difference between that, and MY example earlier, which is when all your survivors are just doing nothing in a corner and not bothering to help anyway. In that case, there is no team, and I don't see any reason why somebody should be looked down upon for just ditching their team the same way their team ditched them. That's pretty much what all those quotes boil down to. So don't even try to make that comparison. You even quoted me saying that I don't think things like slugging or facecamping are bannable, so you have to have seen that I'm somebody who doesn't give up or get salty easily. Yet you still would rather suggest that I personally just want to be able to disconnect/kill myself/whatever, just because I happen to be saying something you disagree with.
You even quoted my response to a thread that was all about the "dumbest reasons you've died/lost" talking about me standing over the hatch waiting for the last survivor to leave, using that as a point for your argument when the whole reason I posted that was talking about how it was a situation where I died and it was dumb. And to the comment you made saying "Why wouldn't they? They get more points for staying and it's not like you were team mates," no you don't "get more points" just for simply existing in the game. It's dumb for the same reason that standing at the hatch/gate teabagging until the killer comes to look at you is dumb. There's no practical gain from it, it's for the purpose of messing around. Once again, nice job making up your own strawman to attack instead of actually paying attention to the content of my post.
I don't know if you're just this disingenuous or if you're a complete moron. You have to have something wrong with you to not understand the main point of what I'm saying, which is that survivors aren't responsible for winning and losing together. They worry about themselves. Almost everything you say is either just criticizing me for saying the term "team" when I disagree that survivors are a true team, and trying to be insulting while claiming that you're not directly insulting people. It's honestly pretty pathetic.
My point has been outlined in detail clearly several times now. Take my points for what they are: "Dead by Daylight is not comparable to a real life physical competitive sport. The survivors are not all responsible for each other. Letting yourself go when your team mates aren't bothering to help you is different from baby raging and disconnecting mid match because you had a bad game." If you continue to refuse to make any counterpoints then I'm not going to waste any more time with your delusional ass. Fight against your own made up arguments that you wish that I was making, I'm not gonna entertain your nonsense any longer.
We'll end the whole conversation about survivors being a team. At this point it's going nowhere, we've both said what we'll say.
But how the hell do you not know Messi? He's like the biggest sports star in the world. Probably the best soccer player of all time.

You acknowledge it yourself right there. They can get the hatch. The game has always been about looking out for yourself primarily.
Also just because you didn't directly insult somebody doesn't mean that you aren't being insulting by making a bunch of snide comments.
But ya sure bud.
Messi can score a hattrick, win MOTM, be on the back of every newspaper the following day and still lose the tie.
One survivor escaping is not a win. In order to pip or get bloodpoints that survivor would still have needed to get gens done, while somebody distracts the killer. Get saves, while somebody distracts the killer and get chased themselves while other people get stuff done. If they get caught, they need someone to save them.
The one thing I've said that you took issue with was some people will argue anything. I think that's a fair point when I can point out the dozens of other times you've said survivors are a team.
You've made the following comments which are the exact points I've made which you are now arguing.
"Not a survivor main, and I agree with him. Go play something else if you can't handle playing the game long enough to see through a round. Something single player you can shut off at any time."
"I don't even need to read any of this to answer: no. The problem lies with humans feeling entitled to just end a game whenever they see fit." But its ok if they do so by killing themselves on hook.
"Was on hatch, waiting for the last survivor other than myself to run out the exit gate so I could get out through hatch, but my team mate was one of those people who stay in the exit gate until the very last second of EGC, so I just died to EGC standing over the hatch while he ran out last second." Why wouldn't they? They get more points for staying and it's not like you were teammates?
"I mean, when I get slugged I don't enjoy it either, but do I think it should be bannable? Absolutely not. Is it against the rules? Absolutely not.Facecamping, it's the same. It's not an enjoyable thing to have happen, but if you want to be a team player you can just tough it out and stick around for your team."
You've repeatedly talked about how DCing screws teammates and how it's wrong. But you don't think the devs should stop people exiting the game early another way. It's contradictory.

But they don't need to work together to survive. That's the point.
But no, you just can't take the fact that you're not correct so you'd rather try to insult somebody than put up a point against what they say. Tell me how I'm wrong about that: survivors don't need each other to escape.
Oh wait. You'd rather insult people. You couldn't anyway even if you tried from the looks of it.
You haven't been insulted once.
Survivors need to work together to escape, bar hatch which only one gets. The best way to escape is out the door with 5 gens done.
Good luck running the killer all game and doing 5 gens yourself. No, you rely on your teammates to do that.

Guess I'll be moving along then. I'm glad to know you'll probably be bringing a lot of other people on here laughs as well. Have fun with your meaningless baseless viewpoint.
I've explained how survivors need to work together. How you get points for saving and helping each other. I've showed you that the devs and even you refer to survivors as a team.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1315606#Comment_1315606
Yea because it's a simplistic way to refer to the group of survivors. They're not actually a true team. Once again, can you actually make a real point or are you just going to say a bunch of stuff about me personally and avoid everything else that I'm actually saying? I don't care if I've called the survivors a "team" in the past -- it's just simply easier than referring to them as "a group of individuals who is out for saving their own skin," even though that is what they are. Do you have anything to say against that or are you just gonna keep making weird comparisons to basketball that aren't sensible?
I've called them a team. You've called them a team. The developers have called them a team. But they're not a team.
Sure.
All this just to justify killing yourself and screwing over the other players.
-
Spine Chill is borderline overpowered, especially against Stealth killers.
It gives survivors time to get into safe positions and prepare for a chase. It cancels out the punishment for being caught in a bad position.
If it was added today in a DLC I think the pushback would be huge.

The game has always been designed around saving your own skin. I don't know why you have to make that unnecessary underhanded remark about "some people will argue about anything." I just disagree with you. Don't have to be a douche about it. Yea, people can be altruistic and collaborate as I said, but there's a reason people don't get punished for leaving each other behind and whatnot. It's because saving people and doing extra stuff is going above and beyond -- not something that's mandatory and punishable for not doing. They're not working toward the same goal, they're working toward a similar goal. Player 1 is looking out for player 1, player 2 is looking out for player 2, etc. Player 2 does not have the same goal as player 1, as player 2's main goal isn't "make sure player 1 gets out." It might benefit player 2 in the long term to help player 1, but player 2 has no obligation to do any sort of thing to player 1.
But yes, continue to treat me like I'm arguing for the sake of arguing.

Survivor Perks don't set the tempo of the whole game.

BBQ and Pop makes every Freddie game play out the same way. It becomes a race to get the last gen done before he gets another Pop.

DbD isn't basketball. This isn't the only time I've seen the comparison, and it just isn't.
And I don't exactly think everybody should be going around DCing, but you were wrong when you said "Yes you can," in reply to "You can't force players, killer or survivor, to stay in a game they don't want to be in." Sure, punish their account, but if somebody wants to disconnect, they will.
And no it's not "being a #########" just because somebody doesn't want to play a round of DbD. Again, the basketball comparison makes no sense and this example is where that comes into play: where basketball is a team versus team game, Dead by Daylight isn't. You have a 1v4, where one side has only the single player/killer, and the other side isn't even a team. Yea, they aren't there to kill each other, but the survivors' objective is to escape. Even if they can't save the others. Again, I'm not saying that everybody should just be going around being selfish and disconnecting, but you can't act like DbD is a hardcore team game like basketball because it's not. If somebody wants to let themselves die on hook because they have 3 team mates that aren't helpful at all and are just crouching in a corner or something, they're not "being a #########" just because they want to move onto the next round. Yeah, the group of survivors might have less of a chance of winning, but 1. that's clearly not something they're interested in if they're just crouching in the corner and 2. even if everybody is killing themselves off 1st hook, the last person can still get the hatch, so in a weird way it at least helps one person survive.
I get why you're saying what you're saying, but no you can't keep people in a game they don't want to be in. And DbD isn't the same thing as a team sport such as basketball. You're entitled to your opinion though I guess.
Survivors are definitely a team. They work together to get gens done, cleanse totems and save eachother. People will often get themselves killed to save somebody else.
When you load into a game, you accept the risk it might not go your way. If you want out, screwing over your team, you deserve a punishment.
I agree, you can't keep people in a game they don't want to be in. They'll dashboard, force close or even turn off the internet. What you can do is punish them to encourage good behavior, like not screwing your team.

I'll do you one better, how about we just punish survivors for existing on the map in the first place? Gimme a break. I'm a killer main, and I'm still laughing at the amount of bias here.

That would be easily abused though.
The way its currently built, its fine to not wanna stay on the hook. I suppose if you didn't wanna risk randoms killing themselves on the hook you could go in as a 4man SWF. Then you'd know your team. probably a much better chance they will play the way you want them to play in that situation.
How would it be abused? The 1 in 50 games where survivors ping but leave you to die when you might have been able to escape otherwise.
-

Here's one, what if I actually want to try and escape the hook myself. Base 4% chance everyone.
You can't punish people for actually using a built in chance to escape the hook.
and then failing to tap space repeatedly?
I've seen it suggested before that survivors should be able to 'ping' a hooked survivor to say they are coming to get them. This removes the Escape chance unless they have Deliverance.

I love replies like this one.
- First off, suicide on the hook isn't against the rules so the devs aren't going to be punishing anyone for it.
- If the best response you can come up with is to call someone a name you've already lost the argument.
- The irony of calling someone else selfish when you are literally advocating that everyone must play the game in a way you find personally acceptable or they should be punished.
This whole debate is about how it SHOULD be punishable. There was a time a killer could bodyblock a survivor for hours without being banned,
There was no name calling. Don't be a ######### doesn't mean the person is a #########. I cut my grass today but I'm not a gardener.
It's not selfish to expect people to comply with social norms of not being selfish. You don't see people in basketball games deciding they don't want to play anymore and screwing everyone else over.
I actually do DC/Hook suicide. I won't play an Iri Head Huntress, I won't play the Game or Lerys if the killer puts the Offering on. I acknowledge I'm being a ######### about it and maybe my teammates would have liked to play. I accept the devs should punish this behaviour.

Console killer queue times are 10 seconds long on PS4, THEY'RE not the issue.
PS4 survivor queue times are a ghastly 10 minutes long.
Why would console killers opt out?
Nothing changes for them.
They already face survivors who don't have issues with framerate.
-
@ironiron said:
It only effects console survivor mains. Killers on either platform are not effected.
Basically, survivors on console will start going against killers who can't be 360'd. That's it. Survivors on PC aren't advantaged over survivors on console, whereas killers on PC are advantaged over killers on console; but killers don't play against each other, so that's irrelevant.
Exactly. I've said this 1000 times.
Console survivor babies just want to keep facing killers who suffer from frame rate issues.
Console killers will still be facing people with a frame rate advantage over them. Nothing changes for them.
-
1. smoother frames
Console Survivors have 'smoother frames' than console killers.
2. can manipulate their screen (stretch res does make a difference)
They can cheat? Hardly anyone bothers with this. It's not fair on any system and will likely be handled by the devs soon anyway.
3. it's much easier to run around objects with M&K than it is controller
It's not. Movements like that don't require some precise aim or input.
Also as survivor on console youd have to worry about
1. killers who excel with M&K
Not a problem. The killers are balanced on PC regardless. The only difference is they aren't as good as they are supposed to be for some controller users. You're now complaining you don't get to play against killers who are disadvantaged.
frames, frames and more frames, you get the point.
Bar Doctors shock, none of those are critical moments where a frame drop would hurt. Regardless, these are tied to server issues. All survivors get on occasion when doctor shocks someone or someone goes down. I'd imagine they are always trying to improve this. The higher tick rate servers they announced might help.
