Knockout should not really work with Twins because it only applies to M1-attacks.
(Which is also a good indicator that the Perk really should get another effect because the original one is unhealthy, considering it is a Bubba-Perk which requires basic attacks for a Killer who can instadown with a Chainsaw…)
Ive never used it didnt know it was only m1 thanks for pointing that out.

There's literally a score event for saving someone. Simply tie it to the same mechanism.
Yea I know I was thinking about that when I was typing it I just don't know how much work would go into codeing it I mean it sounds simple to me also but I feel like if the codeing was that easy we would have a lot more fixes for a whole list of issues that seem easy to fix. For sure should be a thing though even for pallet saves.

No, it wont. It did not see use before 6.1.0, even when DS was way stronger. People who say this know will not even equip Knockout, because it is not a good Perk.
@Topic:
100% agreed. Knockout is one of those Perks which is mainly used to make the other side miserablee. It is not really a strong Perk and gets countered by SWF, but if not everyone is in the SWF and with a build around it, it can be really annoying. And the only reason to use it with a specific build is to annoy the other side. It should be completely reworked into a decent Perk.
Yea what i really wanna see is knock out with the twins rework

I tried it survivors didnt seem to be phased at all 🤷♂️. They just ran their routes like normal.

Wouldn't stop tunneling honestly. Just go after the injured survivor. Every. Single. Time.
Yea and that would 99% guarantee a loss for the killer even with longer gen times plus you would still have a 50 50 on getting that tunneled survivor out at end game.
-
Yea I know but it does mean you have game sense so message me your name I can add you we can go run some games.

You need to read what i wrote multiple times in this thread. Using the flashlight =/= getting a flashlight save. I am stating that if you flashlight save someone, you are not being tunneled literally because someone else was being picked up from the ground.
I wouldn't mind if they did this only problem I would be worried about is is if the code would allow it, because we dont want survivors blinding the killer to get away while getting tunneled then they lose the perk.

I would really like that as well, it would be really great to test. I would anticipate extremely lower kill rates until they buffed killers a lot. Idk about you but in my survivor games I see an extremely large amount of killers that win through tunneling but realistically with how well they were playing would have lost badly if they hadn’t. So I think the tunneling is propping kill stats up a metric ton.
I agree i think this would be cool would need a bunch of tweeking but have it run on like a one month ptb with multiple patched on the ptb till they get it right.

You just said it was all ds otr adren now your saying its lithe sb and balance again lol you cant even use three of those perks at the same time effectively survivors use one exhaust perk that's like saying if a killer runs noed its meta lol which a lot of new killers do its still not meta 🤣. Nice bait nerf perks that only can get used once in a chase unless the killer is bad? Please tell me what the survivor meta is? Guess nerf flashlights too huh 🤣?

What I mean for banning is those who purposefully throw the game, like just stand there and let the killers hook you.
But whether or not the system can detect this.. we don't know LOL
Okay that I can agree with maybe not banned at first but like a hefty penalty I can get with that. Then if you repeatedly afk and throw on purpose a ban.

With this mechanic, Killers have to camp 9x60 seconds a Survivor to kill him… Or he'll need to chase that one Survivor down 9 times to kill him… That's more than enough for you to do all Gens and escape.. I guess?
For your second point, Survivors should always play like a team. Make it bannable for those who intentionally throw the game.
PS: Even for now, if anyone decides to throw the game, chances that the match will end in 4k anyway, so individual lives really doesn't matter much.
I like your idea but not everyone plays this game to win I play to get content I let my teammates know in pre game chat if theyre on console that sucks but I dont care about escaping every game so making that ban able is not a good idea. You cant force me to play the game how you want to. Baning people for having fun in a game is the quickest way to lose your player base youre going to need a ranked and unranked mode if you want to ban people for having fun. The other problem is then what do you consider throwing? Is not sitting on a gen the whole match throwing is playing stealthy throwing is going for head ons throwing you see where im going with this? Not everyone wants to play how you play.

That’s the thing—any killer can tunnel a survivor out at any point in the game & pretty much walk away with at minimum a 2K. Tunneling is potent and widespread because it works regardless of all else.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3690344#Comment_3690344
Regression perks can make tunneling easier by creating extra wiggle room, but they really aren’t necessary to win a game. If I tunnel someone out at 5 gens, I’m going to tunnel the next survivor out with however many gens remain (3-5). And once two are gone we know it’s basically a game of outlast for the remaining survivors. They’re not concerned with gens (nor should they be).
Yea i know i dont tunnel and i win all the time my whole point is tunneling makes killers bad at the game.
-
@nodforkiss said:
no. just no. why survivors never get punished when they are doing their objectives but killer should be punished?
Because when killers get to a higher mmr from tunneling and start getting stomped on they start complaining about everything else. I dont mind getting tunneled honestly because I can hold my own but then I get killers who dc because they arent as good as they thought they were. The problem with tunneling is its a bad habit to fall into and not needed to even win games. It would be like if every survivor could find a brand new parts sitting in the map randomly and using them over and over.
-
@Ayodam said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3690225#Comment_3690225
You don’t need regression perks to triumph over survivors (good, decent, or otherwise). Tunneling one survivor out ASAP is the strongest tool available to killers. The regression perk may buy more time to do that but I personally think it’s a negligible difference.
The big problem is when you tunnel out someone at 5 gens with all these stacked like you said. Even if there are only 2 gens left and three survivors the gen regression from just downing the next survivor will make the game 1000x harder for those 3 people trying to pop the 2 gens especially if the killer is even 10% decent and understands how to zone a 3 gen. The problem isnt 3 gen or slow downs tunneling is to a certain extent because you never get good at anything else. The problem lies when all three of these things are all done in sync by a half decent player it makes the game ridiculously oppressive.

2 seconds? who said that?
No one said 2 sec. Dance the community manager/dev here said its a new animation completely so what I'm saying is everyone's freaking out and has no idea what its even going to be yet.
-
@guto_mp3 said:
So: The new (actually old) DS will stun the killer for 5 seconds instead of the current 3. However, its way to weak against nurses, blights, spirits and even artists or huntresses but way to strong against weak killers such as trappers or pigs. So instead of buffing it to the 5 seconds, make it that every time a survivor stuns the killer, their power loses all charges.
A nurse would have to wait a few seconds to blink again and so does blight, spirit and artist. Cause lets be honest, 2 extra stunning seconds against a nurse or a blight wont mean anything but against a trapper…cruel.
So to be simple: if the power has a charge bar, it resets.
You dont even know what the new animation for ds looks like or how long it takes so how are you going to judge what's going to happen?
-
What if everyones getting all mad and the new animation takes 2 seconds making it actually 3 seconds running time. Since right now its 3 seconds and 1.5 sec running time with the current animation. They already stated its a stabbing animation.

The risk is playing the game with 3 perks while the dulls can be cleansed preventing it from even showing up. Bonus points for it revealing its own aura within up to 24 meters over a short period of time.
Yea I mean no one does bones though unless another hex pops up…. Its the same thing as hope basically.
-
Only problem ive seen is really good xenos can disable 3 turrets while getting hit by flames barley near each other and still not lose power or if they do its 3 wasted turrets you havbe to wait forever to get them back and the killer is back in power by just jumping in a tunnel for 2 sec.

@Xernoton said:
Because it's an interesting idea for a perk. That's the reason it exists.
It has a very powerful effect but it requires the killer to put in quite a bit of work, leave the hook (so it won't work when the killer camps) and it can be deactivated before it does anything. So it's a high risk - high reward perk, which is exactly what hex perks are meant to be.
It would probably be fine without the mori (though that should be compensated slightly) but other than that, it's fine. There are only so many totem spawns on each map (which you can either learn or use perks to find) and if you destroy the hex totem (the one that glows), then the hex perk is completely deactivated and the killer plays with 3 perks remaining for the rest of the match.
Except for noed literally no risk high reward.

I worry the devs will try to balance it by making Viktor slower and giving him a terror radius, but that would ruin the uniqueness and fun of the playstyle and make him just like any other killer.
I am like 99% sure this is whats going to happen either he will have a lunge cooldown and be slower or like op said its going to be extremely over powered but I think they want to go extreme and then go from there.

- Survivor gets rescued off a hook.
- Killer decides to go for the unhooker since he doesn't want to tunnel.
- The unhooked person then uses OTR or the base Endurance mechanic to body block 1 hit for them.
Killer then has 2 options. Continue chasing the unhooker or now target the unhooked who abused the "anti tunnel" mechanic to body block.
If he chooses to now target the unhooked that body blocked he has to get a 2nd hit on them. Then he eats a DS (now getting buffed) to the face. To then have to chase him for a 3rd hit, which now eats him a DH. To now chase him again for a 4th hit for the actual down.
Note if we choose to instead continue going after the unhooker, the unhooked person still body blocks all these attempts to force this above interaction regardless. So we have the same result.
Now we may say, let's ignore all this by just forgetting them both and go just randomly check the remaining gens to look for someone else. Except that unhooked is still following you and doing the same thing.
Hey though, just down him and leave him there! Except you still wasted 2 hits just to get him there in the first place from him body blocking you and he has Unbreakable for that not to matter.
I am not saying we shouldn't have anti tunnel mechanics, I like those. I'd even improve them. My point here is simply that would y'all agree that we could/should design the anti tunnel mechanics in a way that also prevents them from being abusable for their unintended purpose? I intentionally try not to tunnel, like going out of my way, and I am still getting hit with consecutive OTR, DS, just the base kit Endurance, as they are very regularly forced in my face. Maybe this is rarer at lower mmr's, but this is extremely regular in my games.
Thoughts?
If they want to get hit its not tunneling

sorry you expecting to much from survivor they crutch on meta harder than killer and can't play the game with out it lol and they will complain when the killer responds by running just as strong builds or tunneling in a endlessing cycle any perk that doesn't carry survivors is "Useless"

DS has been strengthened, and winter has arrived for murderers. This is the moment when there is no longer any point in hanging survivors on a hook. There will come a time when we will tunnel survivors and then leave them to die. This is an environment created by management.
Nice now unbreakable will definitely get some use its like every time I bring it I just get insta picked. I find it so funny how killers are over reacting that survivors are going to be harder to tunnel. They already can do all the body blocking otr etc stuff anyways.

This. Its why I cant keep friends playing. "Why would I keep playing this trash?" Is a direct quote. I'd say about 5-6 people this month alone tried the game for me and nope'd out. Most we're tunneled immediately and didn't get to play until we went customs.
And they'll keep playing customs. They'll never touch live again.
Same ive bought the game for 20 people now 2 have stayed but barley.

Because they are stil lstreaming daily.

They should return back to the roots with his design and go from there. Also, why exactly are scratch marks desaturated when you play as Freddy? Is he so strong, that we need to make it harder for him to keep track of survivors? I think not.
Also, I'm not sure failing a skill check should wake you up. It just sounds wrong that a survivor can mess up to counter a killer's power.

Perhaps my friend you can help me understand this.
For people to say Freddy is an incredibly weak killer, power level wise, chase abilities/Anti loop/Mobility how is he performing so well? Other than your amazing gameplay and the other few Freddy mains 😍
All killers are decent when you get to know how to play killer in general. It does help depending on the power but knowing your killer plus knowing how to play killer makes all the difference its the reason even at all different lobby sizes and mmr the good killers will shine. Same reason people like otz can go on long streaks with any killer its just knowing how to create pressure.
-
Well I guess we both play a lot I just disagree its not that great of a perk. It almost never effects me as killer.
