I want a perk like red Herring but with aura. As in if your aura is read, you are shown on the opposite sid of the map or something like that. Or reverse STBFL, where if the killer hits you, their attack recovery takes twice as long. Would be a nice combo with mettle of man.
You gotta be my evil twin.

Thanks for reminding me of that song, now it's playing in my head again for 4 days straight xD.
"If I only could, I'd make a deal with the Entity and I'd get him to to swap our hook states.."
You’re welcome ☺️
I was singing the exact same thing in my head!!!!
-
perk: running up that hill
make a deal with the entity and take 1 hook state from another survivor that has been hooked twice consecutively as your own by pressing the action button
can only be done once per trial.
you repair gens 30/20/10 % slower the rest of the trial

Can someone give me a valid reason why solo survivors shouldn't have kindred basekit? It doesn't give any sort of advantage that SWFs don't already have because of comms. Arguing against this is just arguing to keep solo at a disadvantage for no real reason. Kindred would prevent a lot of situations where no one goes for a save. It would also help teams approach camping situations better.
I would also really like the anti camp to show on the HUD. I've had a few instances where I could have unhooked myself but my teammates just hovered around the hook instead of moving away. The system is useless if people don't know the progress. Once again this is something that a SWF can already do.
Honestly if they can’t make better decisions with basekit kindred then I’d argue in a large amount it would come down to skill issue.
-
The only thing I can think of to help solo would be basekit kindred.
There’s only so much that can be done.

Have you landed the 360 off the hill yet?

I have no idea what E and D stand for.
Rookie Spirit is below mid though. It's a wasted perkslot. We'll make it is way more useful for the team. It's also a perk you have to pay for since it's on a licensed character, so it's not even accessible enough.
Oh it’s empathy and distortion. So like it’s really a support build to make up for the lack of information from not being on comms with whoever you’re lobbied with if solo. If you don’t like RS then you can swap it out for built to last with med kit or we’ll make it.
just try RS+E+A+D for a few matches playing aggressively and not hiding and tell me how you feel.

It's just that it has no unique identity really. Say you get chased and tunneled first. You get no value out of it because you have to activate it by doing a gen and even then its effect is mediocre at best. With Alert you can guess which is the regressing gen and it keeps you safer.
I mean I feel like if you pair RS+A you’ll be in a good spot as solo to make executive decisions on what’s best for the team.RS alone is very mid though. I imagine if you use RS+A+E+D then you really have no excuse for doing poorly as solo and can be very beneficial to your team if played correctly, I’d say you absolutely must know how to loop/counter killer powers though somewhat if you choose those.

Rookie Spirit is bad (I've ran it). Alert does pretty much its job and more.
Maybe if it protected gens from further regression it would be good and have something unique going for it.
I ran it for the first time yesterday and i think it does it’s job for what the description is, would I say it’s op or something that should be in every persons build, no, I think it’s decent though. I can see why most people would think it’s bad though, it would be neat if it did additional things. I agree that alert is better. Alert is easily one of my favorites.
-
Built to last is a good perk, I enjoy it, and like it. It's useful. 10/10 perk. Rookie Spirit is also really good if you're solo.

The amount of force needed to fire the spear would no doubt shatter the user's shoulder first.
Yeah there would be no way to physically hold it and have the body take that kind of recoil without injury. Most likely the force it would take it would need a steel bolted placement if the goal is accuracy and impact.

i don’t bm, please no. I’m seeing Billy here and there and they’re already back on the same bs as before, and it’s very annoying.

That would actually make sense, so yeah. It is a better point.
But again, it's only a feeling and feelings can often be misleading. So without any actual data (and evidence for it) I can only trust that you feel this way.
I’ll do a full analysis next reset of every match in every rank and every killer I faced and how many times and make a post about it with my personal statistics using a list from SharePoint. I’m just playing around with builds this reset.

This makes no sense.
"Red" grades have nothing to do with MMR. It's just a grade that ranks how well you did this month and rewards you with BP. It has no impact on matchmaking whatsoever. So your entire explanation falls flat.
I would be willing to believe that certain killers have higher pick rates in high MMR but with this explanation it's apparent, that your basing this on a feeling rather than actual facts.
Okay then idk what mmr im in but thats a majority of what i see after a certain point of playing. Is that better for you?

Franklin's would be the most useless perk in the world if we couldn't see items
No, bc you can best believe they’re still going to bring items. You might feel less inclined to feel like you have to pick it though. And if it’s a huge problem bc you’re not, they’ll just nerf survivor stuff that’s a problem as usual to adjust.
-
@Xernoton said:
34 / 48 Weskers? That's a 70.83% ratio. So either you were incredibly unlucky (which can happen) or something is off here because this is not Wesker's pick rate. Not even close.
Once you get to a certain point all you’ll see is
weskers, blights, spirit, occasional nurse, occasional artist, occasional plague. Random nemesis/oni. Mostly weskers and blights though once you start getting up there.
right before red and early red you’ll see a lot variety then it dips more towards those killers.

I was happy with Tekken, until they patched in premium currency one month after launch. You have to buy more currency than you need to buy a single costume, so now I ain't buying anything out of spite lmao.
Thanks. I've already been called braindead several times, so I think it's going pretty well so far.
I’m guessing tekken is online in some aspect.
i hear that, the cost of skins on suicide squad is absolutely nutty too considering it’s a full price game, with dog water servers. Like you can tell it’s definitely their first time.

Sorry didn’t mean to push a button. My apologies, drops my 1 use brown med kit and backs away slowly. I don’t run flashlights, so I wasn’t thinking about shoulders and stuff. I can see now how my comment was short sighted.

One of the tiers for the new archives for survivor has blinds as a requirement. Stage 2 I think?

It's a strategy actually. Ok not a strategy but a playstyle. It's known that some killers bring franklin's, knock the items (usually flashlights) off the survivors and then DC so the survivors lose the items. It's something of a playstyle akin to basement Bubba.
It's about sending a message not playing optimally.
im assuming the message is don’t bring in items?
-
Why bird lady bring franklins when bird lady can counter loop with bird? Seems like waste of bird lady perk slot.
-
I’ve died for a bot before, but it was one of the best teammates a solo could ask for. It deserved to live.
Yes, I went out of my way to save it in endgame.

I imagine this is just survivors turn to be punished after the years of perk abuse, infinites, and bullying killers. This is our penance to bear collectively.

Agree, but yeah I agree it’s weird they can see your items, even if it can be last minute swapped. It just makes the survivor feel like they have to have a preplanned ahah gotcha moment, which breeds a toxicity to it.
-
I took like a year and a half long break from this game and I played:
Spider-Man, god of war ragnarok, elden ring, suicide squad kill the justice league(though the severs are dog water it still is very fun), baldurs gate 3, tiny Tina’s wonderlands, stray, Diablo 4(so much fun if you haven’t played it the story is absolutely amazing!!!) Gotham knights, the devil in me, guardians of the galaxy, house of ashes, tiny Tina’s assault on dragon keep, and stranded deep.
in short playing other things will stimulate your brain and give you the happy chems, and at this point I play this game when I’ve got nothing better to do.

Yeah, fr
Changes will come eventually to curb the abuse of the strat, but the time inbetween is just freaking brutal😩
It’s too late in the game for that unless they just get bored. If they were going to fix tunneling in a major way the time to do it would have been when they had significantly less killers to balance the kill rate around to consider adjustments. Tunneling has long been complained about. It took years to get just basekit BT. Removing it would probably heavily imbalance their formula and require so much work with the amount of killers present today to account for. They’ll probably implement small stuff to mitigate the burden of being tunneled like they have been doing but as you see that usually just leads to abuse when people cross map to body block with their bt in rare instances. That would be a huge project on their end, and that’s just the ugly truth. As survivor you’ll get small stuff to help deter it, but I highly doubt we’ll get anything significant or a complete removal of tunneling unless they plan on nerfing survivor in a huge way when taking out tunneling, so it doesn’t force an entire killer roster rework.
-
To answer your question when this new chapter drops very dangerous, once all the hype wears off and people go back to their normals perk picks that drops a little more, but basement is never safe and comes with increased risks, especially with most killer builds having 1 aura perk minimum.

I caught a Bill going down in the basement as soon as the match started as scratched mirror Myers. I literally grabbed him off the chest he was opening .
Must have given that player a heart attack lol
I can't stop laughing 😆
Now I’m laughing. It’s the little moments.
I was testing chemical trap and any means necessary yesterday and in one of the matches got a trapper, obviously as soon as I dropped the pallet he kicked it and then got covered in the flour like substance and we just stared at each other. I laughed for like 5 mins bc I can’t take this perk seriously with its visual effects. It’s so silly.
-
If I were the devs or their knowledge/data operations team I would take a look at how many gens are getting done in these heavy aura build matches on average excluding high mmr 4 mans(i mean consider them) and consider that information, and then beg them to reconsider nerfing distortion and woo at a time like this. Time is really precious resource now for survivors now like it used to be for killers before shifting to be more killer sided. Like if you see a drastic increase in escape rate bc a lot more ppl are picking distortion and getting out repeatedly I get it, do what you have to do, I’ll understand. From my experience getting paired with duos and triples that’s not what’s going on though, with one person carrying it, it’s not giving that much of an advantage, just lessening how oppressive some of these builds are, and they can be very oppressive to face off against.
Im not asking for you to nerf their stuff, put please take a look at the data.

Mom can I have deliverance 🤣 Haha
And yeah that perk is terrible if it's first stage only, I'd rather just run deliverance lol
Yeah it’s basically a hybrid breakdown and deliverance for basement only. Idk about you but I tend to not try looping killers around basement bc I take note of where it is, and end up in it pretty rarely, bc the disadvantage of being in it can be very hard to come back from depending on variables, but at least there’s basekit BT now that helps to mitigate some of that.
-
They were probably thinking about all the knuckle heads summoning demons in the basement for 2 mins when they made this. With a perk name like wicked though it should be cool and completely reworked once everyone’s done being a bonehead in the basement when the new chapter drops.
-

You aren't supposed to know which pallets are gone lol, what did people do before kates perks? Just like mi not supposed to know where survivors are. The perks fundamentally change that, but that's not the standard.
Thats now what game sense is, so your point is moot. Game sense is using intuition to make a best guess which pallets are gone not to KNOW which ones are gone. Just like if a survivor is unhooked by a gen and they don't heal I can make the deduction that they are doubling that gen. If that makes sense. So WoO showing you where everything is at removes all the skill from you having to remember which pallets were dropped or which ones are broke or which ones your mates gave up.
And lots of aura perks tells you which gens are being worked bc survivor ping without you having to walk over there and check, what’s your point? Sure I could be jumping into a locker every 5 secs against a full aura build but that’s not a lot of fun is it, and not even feasible. Distortion is fine, woo is also fine.
-
Okay so thoughts after running it with any means necessary.
i would if the goal is to get more people to use it without it being abused by swf, but fun enough to still pick while not being overpowered but useful:
keep the slowed condition the same across all three tiers as it is now.
remover the timer, and change it to a token system for tier being 1/2/3 traps
same gen conditions as now.
OR if 3 traps per person(worst case scenario 4 swf) would be too much
then stop at 2 traps and same as above but for tier 3 give an extra 10% off gen % to 40% for the last tier.
Then it would be good enough to pick as a singular perk, and more fun with Any Means Necessary.
then if it’s too much(meaning you did the above changes) I’d tweak the slowed conditions but leave the other stuff alone that was changed.
That should make it more user friendly and just feel better to use as survivor, while being considerate of killer experience.

I was just imagining a swf where 1 player runs stake out/hyperfocus/scavenger/chemical trap with engineer toolbox with 2 charge add-on. He uses the toolbox to mass produce chemical traps and set them on pallets then your teammate SWF runs any mean necessary and just pick up all the pallet you drop with chemical trap. I wonder how long it would take you to make entire Gideon map filled with chemical trap pallets. You would almost be trolling the killer with such a build in a SWF If Chemical trap was buffed to be 30% with unlimited traps(no timer).
Yeah that would be absolutely broken, eventually you’d run out of gens though😂 unless you purposely had someone regressing to keep those traps coming. It should be token based if they remove the timer without a doubt
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3665348#Comment_3665348
i would probably use it if it was 30% and you could build an infinity amount of chemical traps(removing timer). You could go with Any means necessary+Chemical trap and just be a support that puts chemical traps on pallets throughout entire trial for teammate to use. that is kinda cool gameplay style. Could really strong in SWF with perk synergy.
Oh okay yeah I see what you mean by AMN and CT now. I was confused at first bc my initial thought was if you used AMN it would disable it, but it appears it does not(good thinking BHVR). That makes it a lot more user friendly. Infinite traps would probably be a bit much, however yeah agree they can remove the timer, and probably put it on a max token system IE you can set like 1/2/3 traps per trail or something so you’d have to use them wisely. I can see more people using it then vs the other options.
-
Yeah use unbreakable, or no mither.

So tell me exactly how i can know what pallets are gone?
Through prayer to the entity obviously that it may guide your pathing perfectly.
Or using your astral projection powers to look over the map.
You’re a survivor, that makes you a god inherently. You know this lol.
as survivor sometimes I have no clue where the others are at until I see their little red body on the ground, even then that doesn’t tell you what pallets they used.
