Bro, you don't need to play a character that others want. It's just sounds wrong no matter from where you look at it.
Leave this to Dota 2 and League please.
-
Yes.
It's messing with my hook counting and I accidentally killing a survivor earlier, makes me look like a tunneler.
-
Agree. It's addicting as heck. 👉🐽
-
I find it unrivaledly (is that even a word..?) annoying. The same goes for afk-crows.
Well, I think they (these noises) should be annoying for the killer to take action as fast as possible.
By the "action" you probably guessed what I mean.
-
I mean, I'm clicking on it, but it's just black void of nothing
I told you the Entity will save me from you. :D Long live the Entity!
Edit: Don't worry I got this. I can watch it on YT.
-
"Thank God this one isn't opening… I'm afraid to even think what's in the video…"
-
Definitely don't wanna miss dec 25.
-
They are (me too) telling you to run this perk until TOTH going to get inevitably nerfed…
TOTH will be nerfed, no doubt. But until then - run Counterforce.
What's wrong with this advice? I don't get it.

Crossed fingers for the Predator (AvP) and related battle-pass to this franchise somewhere in 2025.

I got close to not caring yesterday after 7 straight games of killer player harassment and around 12 awful matches total.
In my final match, I was so close to not caring anymore, but I pushed through. We got 2 gens done because someone just needed to cleanse totems with thrill of the hunt (no devour, no ruin, just croud control).
After that, i got Lara's prestige one level up and gladly logged off for the day.

Interesting. If I had to hazard a guess, the game just isnt fun anymore. With BHVR's constant botches with releases, perks, the game as a whole, updates and whatever else they do, there's no way to make it fun anymore. Survivor is just miserable to play if you aren't apart of a SWF. None of these things happen when you get SWFs right? I'd assume as much. But I'd like to hear! :)

Just because someone on a forum says something is happening, doesn't mean it is. Not saying you are wrong by any means, just that you're a rando on a forum. Everyone is.
I try to not be toxic at every turn, hoping to charm the killer into only killing me. Doesn't always work, and after the Mori change, now they just kill me last, to mori.
The game continues to evolve, and If I look back at say.. even 2020, It's not been for the best imo. The same damn things keep happening, just with a different wrapper. And while we are always at one another's throats, BHVR is the one whom we should all be up in arms about. This is actually crazy to me.

To be fair, with how terrible some maps have become, together with the sheer amount of killers who are oppressive in chase, I no longer expect chases to last long at all.
Guys, I understand all of the frustrations because I did mention that I played exclusively soloq for the day, just to get the better understanding and more in-touch.
But still, overall\in general - the game feels the same, the gameplay is the same, there was no any drastic changes made to the core game, but adding anti-facecamp, base-kit BT, icons, base-kit yellow mori, and some new perks to both sides, which didn't particularly changed the meta. And yet the survivor players smh got worse at doing their job (looping, doing gens)? Genuine question: how?
Yes, they added some questionable tiles and loops with the new maps, the dead-zones probably because change or bug with map-RNG, but do you believe it's the main reason? Change in meta perks? Does meta changed much from the DH and Ult-weapon nerfs?
Honestly - my personal opinion: Something happened to MMR + influx in new players after 2v8 just completely jacked your matches, by matching low hour players with high hour + decent killer. And these low hour players "sabotaging" your games, getting you killed, doesn't do anything to make progress, making a lot of mistakes that benefit the killer player.
Call me crazy, but I genuinely think, this is exactly what's wrong with the game for now.

All my games are either full of SWF with my mains (Nemesis and Vecna) or average survs with the killers I barely play.
I'm not facing these clowns you guys are talking about here.I mean… If you don't see it, doesn't mean it's not happening.

@Dwight_Fairfield said:
That just wouldn't work. Killers like Nurse, Chucky and Blight who are strong and oppressive would struggle to get matches. A few months ago I would have said Skull Merchant too but she's now the worst killer in the game. Completely neutered.
It just makes no sense and it's just blatantly unfair to the player who just likes to play the so-called: "Hated character".
The system like this would just punish these players with long q-times for literally nothing. Not only that - knowing some survivor players, we will basically end-up having all killers from the character list being blocked by some of these survivors, and it's just + to q-times to the game in general.
Never going to happen, and nobody wants longer q-times. (2v8 ptsd)
-
Also to put it simply - if totems are now keeping the progress, then killers will need a way or option to regress this progress.
Ever dreamed about "kicking" the totems same as gens? Totem-kicking perks anyone? Sounds pretty goofy to me.
-
I remember that happened to me 1 time on a badham map when I was playing a killer. :D
I literally just spawned right next to Claudie, we just awkwardly looked at each other and I went away in a different direction.
Edit: Oh I remember that in this match there was numerous strange things happening, I remember Jeff dropped the pallet on me, but it didn't stun me (while the noise was), and this pallet played the drop animation 2 times in a row…
In the end-game chat this Claudie said: "This match is cursed", and I said: "The witchcraft is real on this one"

I've had multiple matches with teammates not doing anything, or throwing the game on purpose in the first 2 minutes. When that doesn't happen, it's a smashing success for us. It's a matter of willpower and maturity, things that this community falls short in. I'm hoping more people are waking up to why survivor matches go south. The killer has little, or even nothing, to do with it.
To face the truth - Nothing really changed in survivor gameplay, AND the killer gameplay. If both sides will PLAY the game NORMALLY - it would feel the same as 2 or 3 years ago. If anything - the base-kits which been given to survivor side, BT along side anti-facecamp, is something that any survivor player was dreaming about. Killers received only base-kit yellow mori which is just nothing-burger\makes no difference on a gameplay.
Yesterday (2 d ago now) - I was playing only soloq — I see what is happening and it looks like some survivor players just sabotaging the game. They're going down in 10-15sec, they can't loop (literally running like a headless chicken), they don't help each other, they don't even unhooking!! sometimes, running the killer on each other, it's an actual circus. And then they are saying: - "Oh man, killer side is so strong, they have brokenly op perks". Like dude… Please, look at how YOU playing the game and what is your teammates doing first.

People really clip ANYTHING. If I camped a pallet to stun a killer that wasn't even going after me, then got down immediately after, the last thing I'd want to do is clip it to show to people.
Mhm, except when I casually play a killer wondering around looking for survivors and going through some random pallet, when suddenly some terrorist popping out of nowhere and dropping this pallet on my fat-head, jump-scaring the living crap out of me, making me spill my coffee all over my desk, makes me paranoid of every single pallet on the map.
@CountOfTheFog - This guy is a menace to killer side!
-
Did you say to her that she also wasted 4 min of her life on a pointless BS? She feels better after that?

Oh noh… It's him… Bruh, please leave these poor souls alone, you monster. :D

Honestly 90% of survivors are toxic or don't do anything. Nobody wants to play with them. Maybe address player behavior and so something about it. Killers are slugging and tunneling because majority of survivors are being toxic so they go into every match thinking this. I am about to change my killer load out because I'm sick of it.
Fr - it feels like survivor players playing bad on purpose, or just don't care to try at all. The devs can't fix that.
-
All I'm seeing is how survivor players going down in 10-15sec and it's not because the killer player is good.
-
Keep progress - noh.
Regress over time - optional\maybe.

Hey beckons to alley... Hey you!...
Want more fun in DBD? Why don't you ban yourself from meta and try picking a perk, then try and make a build around it? Keeps games fresh and interesting.
If you win, great, you won playing off meta... you might even discover a new previously unknown combo that helps you win by virtue of the fact no one expects it/thinks to counter it!
If you lose, who cares? You lost playing off meta... if you sauced the killer for more than 40s with no perks to help you in chase, or you managed to get 7 hooks and 1k on Trapper without copius amounts of slowdown... hey... that's pretty good!
Your time is valuable, and games are supposed to be fun. When you play more for fun rather than playing to win, you stop taking the game so seriously. The mere fact you're challenging and handicapping yourself by playing weaker killers and/or less strong builds makes small victories still meaningful, and an accomplishment, even if you lost the game.
The added benefit of this playstyle/mentality? If you get tired of having games you get smoked, you've always got room to crank it up by adding perks that gives you a more competitive edge... but if you're already at max kilter every single game... there is nowhere to go to, you're already running flat out, so there is no room for taking it up a notch... nor is there room for fun. 😁
P.S. Ignore my BS... I felt like standing on a soapbox 🤣
Amen.
May my soul be free from my addiction of evil Meta.

one player was really good at looping and the Killer decided to tunnel them outta the game

This is just so obvious to me. They act like, "Killer has a hex? Time to turn our brains off and be annihilated by 1 perk." There's 4 of you, so unless you're messing up, the killer can only account for 1 of you at a time. Use that to your advantage!
I've been reading your messages today very carefully and… Did someone told you that you have a really healthy\rational mentality and thought process when it comes to dealing with the problems\difficulties within the game?
I like it, I really-really like it.
-
i better Dc in the start of the match, then even trying to play against Huntress, Wraith or Oni.
Now try to convince me you're not an entitled survivor player. You are one of the players I've been talking about in my threads about: "Survivors DC at the beginning coz they don't like the killer".
I absolutely do NOT approve of such actions, it is NOT justified by any means, and I hope 1 day - we will be able to report such behavior.
-
Survivors also easy.

for the developers, why is it 7 seconds long? to think it is stronger that BBQ & Chili?
BBQ isn't a scourge hook. And it works instantly after placing survivor on a hook. Means you don't need to wait for the unhook.

So survivors massive DC or giving up against specific killer is better? And giving up is massive problem with Wraith, Huntress and Oni
"I missed the part where that's my problem." - Peter Parker.
I'm just using the character I want and been given by the developers. Don't punish me for this please.
-
At least I can obtain it without my wallet.
-
Tho I have a fair question:
Is this:
Better than this?:
-
Yeah, this perk is VERY good compliment to the other scourge hook perks.
Can make a full scourge hook build now that includes info+gen regression.

I like Lithe more than Sprint burst, so Fung.

You do know unbreakable is once per trial and the killers start slugging at 5 gens its not going to help.
I wholeheartedly believe that, if the killer was able to slug all 4 survivors - that just means these survivor players played really bad.
How much time it take to heal a survivor off the dying state, while the other survivor looping the killer? - this question is all you need.
I can write an actual essay about this topic. But nobody going to read this, so I can't be bothered, honestly.
All I'm gonna say in short: - If the killer was able to slug all 4 survivors - Survivors played really bad.
It's in short.

Yet I don't BM killers as a survivor and get constant slugged to bleed out, humped for minutes strait, and tunneled out at 5 gens left constantly. All cause killer have 0 backlash of said actions from BHVR.
In most of the time if you see a killer BM the survivor - it's when the killer was BMed by the survivors previously.
I mention: "Start from yourself". Just don't BM, don't be a part of "inflicting" this attitude on others, and we all will see less of it.
Making a BMing a reportable offence (let's say Unsportsmanlike conduct) is just going to hurt the support team with the amount of questionable reports, and waste their time on it.
If you have a lot of slugging from the killers in your match - run unbreakable, If every single survivor in such match will have unbreakable - killer will not be able to slug everyone to death, and probably will result in a 4 escapes.
Killer is "humping" you? - Killer is wasting time on a pointless BS, while other survivors doing gens, and working on a progress.
Survivor Tbags you after a pallet stun? - Reducing the possible distance they could've gain on you.
Etc.

I see. I’m describing a different scenario I’ve seen before but I wonder what triggered that in your game. I wonder if they had some kind of issue beforehand. It all seems very odd
No, nothing special tbh, I've seen the same thing very often when I was playing a killer. When the unhooked survivor was trying body-block and take the endurance hit for a healthy unhooker. It feels like they don't know that killer can just wait when the timer will runs out and then hit.
Such moves were always odd to me, what is the point of protecting the guy who's healthy and haven't been hooked yet? These moves just basically asking the killer to tunnel you.

While I don't think solo queue is as bad as most people say, it is usually where you'll find some of the most questionable plays in DBD. Not to mention the disconnects and hook suicides, of course. Even from experienced players.
One of the worst DBD survivors I have ever seen was a legit Legacy Dwight. And unsurprisingly, he DCed and left us to die, since that was before the bots were added to DBD.
In my opinion it is not the most frustrating thing in the game, but it gets close.
Hopefully you'll get better games today, my friend!
Hell yeah I did, this game was just one on what… 14-16 games? Other than this one was pretty enjoyable. Thank you again, appreciated!!

Indeed. All those glorious finishers were so rare because people were busy using hands to dodge realms or protect their iridescent addons. Now they happen more often, just as should be.
Some people are simply too upset that killers are now more inclined to killing them instead of letting them go. What can I say? Get over it and move to the next game.
You can't say it better, brother. Kudos

I know the feeling, my friend, it is really unfortunate when the unhooked survivor body-blocks for an unhooker that doesn't need it, especially if the unhooked survivor doesn't have DS or OTR or anything else.
Bodyblocking is the correct play sometimes, but when it isn't it doesn't accomplish anything except make the situation worse for the other survivors.
Not sure why they DCed though.
I mean, this mistake is very well known, I thought experienced survivor players (again, this Lara wasn't new at all) should've known for now that this is not the right play, yet still it's happening.
Usually I don't care when playing soloq, since I know what I'm signing up for, but these basic mistakes just gets to me.
All was whatever - until she decided to leave. And it wasn't due to bad connection that was an obvious manual Exit button. If she didn't leave - we could've had an actual fun\close game.
Thank you. ❤️

I don’t know what happened in your specific situation but I’ve seen the unhooked accidentally (or sometimes what looks to be forced by the unhooker) bodyblock the killer. Then they’ll be hit or tunneled or whatever, then go down, and D/C or throw. But in a way I find it justified.
I can assure you - 100% was NOT accidentally. She deliberately went to body-block the Clown at the door. DC isn't justified, she made a big mistake and then dipped on everyone after.
Not cool, not smart and not good play.

There is a fine line between arrogance and self-righteousness. I don't want to see a killer so bad that I have no enjoyment or fun playing against it when it lacks any and all challenge. It gives me no intellectual stimulation. What is the point of me trying when you don't even have to try to begin with? They needed far more time for this chapter before releasing as is.
I'm tired of it. This isn't the last time they did this. Forged in Fog was also riddled with bugs and design problems. It's as if they gave up on the chapter before Christmas arrives.

Oh, I know this line pretty well.
Bet you're really good at video games, fast learner, and pretty smart when it comes to decision making, love using tactics and on awe once they worked out, and ALWAYS for a fair wins.
Highly competitive Pvp player I suppose? :)

Survivor player isn't happy that the killer is weak?
*Somewhere in the parallel universe.*

That doesn't seem like the right way to implement this…
Or maybe it is the only way…
