Honestly Deathslinger is just the new version of Nurse at this point. Like he is a very unique killer and yes I think he fit in the game but the stats on him are literally unfair. First of all 24 meter radius on a ranged killer is already kinda bs. Huntress also has a small terror (20m) radius but she has a lullaby (I think its 40m) that you can hear making her more fair to play againts. Furthermore people in rank 1 literally abuse Deathslinger 24m terror radius and use Monitor and Abuse which makes his terror radius 16 meters. At that point the only way to actually avoid him is that you see him coming from the distance. If you hear the terror radius he is already next to you and gets a guranteed hit.
Just please increase his terror radious or add a banjo music like the huntress lulaby because at rank 1 90% of the games I play is againts are Monitor Abuse Deathslingers and its really unfun.
Sry if I sound salty but I am salty at this point.
What? He’s a trash version of Huntress if anything. If SHE hits you, you got hit. But Deathslinger isn’t that lucky. He’s a blue baller. You get crazy quick scope shots and then....nothing happens? Most of the time at least you get nothing for them but a meaningless deep wound. And yes he have a Michael terror radius with monitor but he needs that. An easy early smack makes his gun somewhat usefull at least. Not to mention the range on him is only 18 meters. If you get shot and railed in while you were just outside of the terror radius you can say that you’re outplayed.

I agree wholeheartedly.
Killer BP and Emblems make sense.
Survivor BP and Emblems really don't.
Evader and Altruism emblems should work the way Survival does, in that you start at Iridescent and lose points when negative events happen. The way it works now, if you perform TOO well, you lose. Go figure.
Sorry but how does survival works again? Every match regardless of how good I do with chases/gens/saves that ######### category remains to be at nearly zero by the end of the game if I die. Which happens more often than not because red rank survivors are trash teammates.
-
I guess they do it to derank because they think that red rank survivors are good in general. (Biggest joke in history)
Do the gens, totems and run into the red glow and out to start chases and instantly end them to fill out boldness category.
Matches like these are free wins if you know what you’re doing.

For a long time I have seen that the killers rely entirely on maphack chili barbecue and multiplying blood points giving the strongest superiority for it. What side effect or effect would be appropriate to increase the killer's time to capture a survivor and increase the time to set tokens to increase points respectively? Closing all visual hints in the game other than those described in the skill for 5-3 minutes is enough or do you need any more penalties? Maybe some compromise option that reduces the time to catch a survivor after hanging?
Eh a bait post?

freddie's perks are so boring and bad, jesus, such a shame for such a lovely killer.
Who is Freddie? But yeah he has trash perks. Remember me was allright but they nerfed it for no reason to the point it’s useless now.
-
Heard that it’s complicated. But as a hearts of iron lV player I expect it to be izi a hell.
-
I could probably supply all of McDonald’s with them for about a week.
-
It’s probably allright but I could’t read it after you said he can not vault pallets. Littearly the only reason I mained them from the start and always made a rank 1 worthy build on them regardless of what “rework„ they got.

Hey everyone,
I'm finding the new doctor re work quite hard to play against. Just wondering what some of you other survivors are doing to counter him.
Thanks for your time <3
Manage your distance well. Other than that he’s not that bad. Freddy might be a bit stronger but at least with Doc, you can often go for at least 1 loop if he shocked you from far enough, while with Freddy you need do drop the pallet early and never be greedy. And yes camping pallets against him is a death wish.

Spirit shouldn't be able to see scratches during her power like Legion and should have a cooldown like Nurse if she misses her hit coming out of phase walk.
Makes her take a bit more skill because Spirit players have to play exclusively off sounds and get punished for wrong predictions. Run Stridor on Spirit and she'll still be an A tier Killer, but not the S tier status she is right now.
Spirit nerf? It’s soo 2019....be original.
-
He’s pretty trash imo already. Quick scope is not always easy. And if you’re ADS-ing and the survivor is flicking around you never hit them. And even if you get some crazy ass shots often you get nothing for it. Even if you hit a healthy guy 18 meters away through a little hole on the wall you only get the injure if you DS yourselt.

Why does Ghostface get to keep the stalk progress he has on a survivor that successfully reveal him ?
I never have any issue revealing Ghostface, but why bother if he get to keep the meter and can instant stalk me later ? It appear to be more beneficial to run at him once I break him out of stealth so he can basic attack me, wich make him lose the stalk progress, or voluntarily let him stalk me to the end so I can loop him for 45 seconds and be done with it.
Ghostface was given a very quick stalking speed (5s or 2.5s if he is leaning +add ons) with the drawback of having to be carefull in his approach. Its just frustrating to successfully reveal Ghostface only for him to be rewarded with a near instant stalk later. Also the way this enable him to activate Night Shroud right in your face to stalk you for 0.1 second and insta-down you, seem to me to be the complete opposite of what he was designed to be. Unless I grossly misunderstand the designers intentions.
I'm not asking for Ghostface to lose all stalk progress on all survivors when revealed. Only on the survivor who successfully triggered the reveal, or else what is even the point ?
Be happy that he’s using stalk at least. No stalk GF with nurse’s and heal slow down perks are a lot more scarry.
-
No. For Huntress it’s useless because it’s enough to just “kinda„ land the hatchet and still get the hit due to hitbox. And Deathslinger can’t fire from hip, only with ADS that has some nice iron sights on it already and a crosshair would just make it harder to aim imo.

first buff idea:
We all know that it takes one minute before the survivor falls asleep. But when you equip Wake up, not only you get the effect of the perk, but it grants you thirty seconds of staying up awake at the start of the trial AND it stacks up with waking up with an alarm clock, giving the survivor two minutes rather than a minute and thirty seconds when using the alarm clock! The only drawback would be if you wake up by snap or skill check then it just a minute of you staying awake, just to make this buff balanced.
second buff idea:
When you have Wake Up! equipped, when a generator is completed, you wake up from the dream state,
And yes, I am aware that this perk will still be rarely used but these are some ideas that been floating over my head as of late. What do you guys think?
There is even a perk called Wake up! in the game? Hmmm.

By that logic though, we shouldnt have Amanda. While Saw might be a big franchise thats widely known about, plenty of people wouldnt know exactly who Amanda is.
It’s not the same though. It’s the Saw chapter after all. The I didn’t know who Amanda is either but I knew about the “agent with a pig head”.

Yeah, people want it to be Pennywise but It isn't a killer. It is an entity.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1290098#Comment_1290098
No.
I don’t know what’s your problems with Pennywise. They made Freddy and he’s pretty much an entity too with limitless power as long as he’s feared by his prey. That’s exatcly how Pennywise works he just don’t need you to be in the dream world.
-
It is really creepy. At leas I woudn’t be happy to see this at 8PM when I walk past the forrest.

1. Pyramid
2. Xenomorph
3. Pennywise
4. Candyman
5. Jason
Never been much of a horror anything person really so Saw was actually the only property I'd heard of before dbd enough to actually remember it's existence. Always been a gamer though so I atleast know about pyramid head and be looks dope. Love alien everything games and movies but unsure how they'd put a Xenomorph in. Pennywise is atleast a non human which could be interesting and candyman bees sound like an interesting power. Don't know anything about Jason other than something about legal battles.
Jason is basically the true slasher killer stereotype. He comes, he’ll go, and leave nought behind. (You’re cool if you know there this line came from).
A more violant Michael basically that doesn’t bother with stalking.
About the legal battle, the guy who held his licenses and sold it to Friday13th the game was a greedy idiot and made the wrong choice by getting the money instantly rather than part of the profit over time. So now he’s boiling the shitsoup to make sure noone’s happy.

Solo survivor is quite shïtty at top ranks. Doesn’t feel like you have an advantage or anything. And it’s just the marchmaking you talk about. Probaly some solo red ranks had enough of the bullshït and teamed up with a low ranked friend to have fun again. Looks like 2 duos who did just that.

I was literally 150meters away and the doc got me with his shock needs to be nerfed to 5m that insane they even allow that
It is short by default. You need an add-on to make it’s lenght decent. And from that range you might as well keep using the loop rather than camping the pallet while being unable to drop it.

Why dodge when you can just Poise through it?
I only have a Sasuke build wearing women’s dress. No way I can poise through an attack that kills me with 2 hits.
-
- Pennywise: Great fit for the game. Had his ass beaten by children, than some random adults so I wouldn’t say he’d be too strong just because he’s similar to the entity. Freddy is also a man who made some pact with the Devil that made him an entity too who’s nearly omnipotent in his own world as long as he’s feared. Same goes for Pennywise. He just don’t need you to be asleep to manipulate you.
- Jason: A true icon but he’d be boring and underwhelming compared to how strong he is in his own game.
- Pyramid: Don’t remember who he was but I know his looks. Silent Hill is really cool too so he’d be great whatever he does.
- Xeno: Too out of the place. And physically too strong and mobile to be any realistic for this game. Some barrels and a pile of garbage with a pallet in the middle wouldn’t stop it. Neither walls. After all it can run around the floor qiuckly like it’s the most natural thing.
- Candyman: Ehh. Only one of these five I’m not familiar with. He looks too human also which would be weird. He’s like Adam with a hook hand and some ugly thing going on in his chest. Don’t wanna see that guy in this game. If it’s him, it’s a no buy for me.
-
Dark Souls 3
Why?
Because I dodge, dodge DODGE, DODGE, DODGE the lobby instantly.
-
You should only feel bad if you’re camping someone as Bubba on TOP OF THE HOOK in the Hunress map. (There is 1 hook there that alloves it)
That thing is a free ticket straight to hell.

So it appears that the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise could be our most likely candidate for the next killer with Ellen Ripley as the mysterious survivor.
A YouTuber with close ties to the DbD developers who knew of the previous 2 killers has stated Candyman IS NOT the new killer.
Pennywise hasn't been all that impactful on the horror genre and Jason has some legal issues.
Alien on the other hand has marked both horror and sci-fi since it's inception and is a franchise that has been very influential as well as being very emotional for many people including potentially one or more DbD devs.
Many recent Tweets also seem to suggest heavily that our next killer is going to be out of this world and very much from the cold depths of space, where no one can hear you scream.
The popularity of Alien as a killer has also been going up as well as it's chances seemingly.
If this is true it's going to be a game changer and will really bring more attention to DbD.
Here's to hoping horror's biggest classic icon will make it into the game.
I really don’t think that it’s gonna be an Alien chapter. Would be way to out of place not to mention if you buy that license you might as well make a new game with it rather than put 2 character from it to a clunky ass game like this.
Pennywise tho is really an iconic character that would make sense in this game, and I’m pretty sure due to the latest films anyone can recognize him. Jason makes sense too but eh, Trapper is pretty much his ripoff and you have that lawsuit too.

Every single deathslinger I've faced has has little to no terror radius (rarely using any perks to reduce the terror radius, I check) I can quietly hear the sound when the killer is 16-10m away, and it only becomes more noticable at 8m (or a little bit larger than the size of the killer shack). The music that plays when on the edge of the terror radius should be made louder. There are two other points that need to be looked at:
-When resisting the chain, I slide off objects like butter, and
if the object I'm behind isn't a slat box I slide off it like I've been greased up. There's a very fine line of balance between "Duct taping myself to a tree and not going anywhere" and "Trying to grabbing onto something anything is like trying to grip a pile of gelatin", and right now we're a lot closer to the second option.
-Aiming should disable auras.
Aiming with deathslinger isn't hard, so it sounds obvious that all auras should be disabled when aiming. With how forgiving the survivor hitbox is, the killer doesn't need a wallhack aura too.
The terror radius really should be looked at. He’s like monitor Myers with a rifle. Other than that he’s fine. Even needs some buffs to be honest.

That's so unfair though, Jason, Freddy etc are ICONIC.
Candyman was from the 90's where the Horror Genre was dying out so not many people know know about him but he still had a following.
Comparing him to Jason, Freddy etc is just unfair. It's like comparing the Babadook to Freddy.
Yes, but that’s the point here. Devs want the killer to be easily recognised and they said they go for the big boy licenses only. By that logic the next killer is a Freddy, Jason etc. tier character but Candyman isn’t so he can’t be it.
-
I beleve they said that it’s going to be a really iconic killer that everyone knows, and are close to their hearts and wanted it to be in the game for a long time. Candyman is like...who is he exactly? I’m a horror fan and never heard of it. A random noname killer with some way too obvious leaks that has nothing to do with what they said is unlikelly to be in the game. I’d say it’s Penniwise or maybe, just maybe Jason.

If you're good enough, and you see the Mori, don't get hooked.
You eventually get hooked. Especially when your teammate is tunneld off hook to instant mori at 4 gens left. Just as I dodge keys, I dodge moris too. F*ck all these BS. The game is already +tarded without them.

Every match from now as a killer will include momento mori, every good add-on, slugging, camping, and everything under the sun.
It's been nice playing as a low rank killer where I could afford being a nice and good sport killer, but the moment you reach higher ranks it's over.
Everything is momento mori, mori, more mori and slugging camping and what not.
That’s when I quit during the loading screen lol. Make the game dumb to compensate not being good enough kills the fun.
