Here's a better question.
Which killers do you think are actually NOT miserable to go against and that you think are fun?
A god nurse and blight are miserable but at least they’re fairly rare. SM and Knight are miserable in general. Trickster and Doctor are plain annoying. Ghostface just has a mechanic that barely works. Most the other killers I don’t have much of a problem with, I think there’s more fun killers to go against than unfun but that’s just me.

I didn't realize it wasn't Anti-facecamp mechanic and it is actually "New mechanic survivors can use to gain an advantage in the match and mindgame the killer"
Thing is it shouldn’t be like that if you don’t make it like that lol.
-
I’m sorry, I have always loved your forum name and always will but this thread is not it. Larry is not an area denial killer, he’s a killer that can ambush survivors from a big setup of pods. EMPs destroy any chance to effectively 3-gen if teams play smart.
-
Like I said she needs a full rework. Nothing about her kit makes her fixable.
-
@Reinami said:
Already had survivors exploiting it, by running the chase near the hooked guy who was near shack making me think they were looping shack, but then they just run away. So i start trying to mindgame while they aren't there, meanwhile person unhooks themselves.
Sounds like you got outplayed.
-
Following up to the last sentence. Give Artist that bug too.
-
Two perks on each side that are powerful with no cooldowns or major restriction and have no counterplay from the opposing side are not fine.

I'm a killer main, and even I think it's overtuned. Maybe a 45 seconds cooldown?
Yeah I think that'll be fine.
@GoodJobGuys92 said:
They should keep it as is. Survivors get mft, so it's cool.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Both need changing.
-
Honestly I disagree that it’s a fine perk. It outclasses about every other info perk so much that it makes them obsolete. It needs to be toned down overall I think.

Would you be so kind and name the killers you find from that list unfun and why you feel that way?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3558691#Comment_3558691
Thats the point of this thread. A killer who is only fun for 1 side, is not something the devs should strive. Artist is a prime example for that: Fun to play, absolutly no fun playing against.
But I find her fun to go against so do my tastes matter at all? This is the problem with this community, a lot of you are selfish and only want the things that appeal to you and not thinking about the many niche groups that find somewhat unpopular killers fun.
Also I don’t care how unanimously fun killers like Billy and Wesker are. If you keep releasing killers like them, the game will get stale as it would be the same thing every single chapter. I like having variety in the killers we get, just as long it isn’t something objectively problematic like old Legion or old Skull Merchant.

Artist and fun do not belong in the same sentence. She’s a hold W queen, and holding w is the most boring mechanic in the game.
Get to loop, she drops bird, hold w to next loop, repeat.
If you love her that’s great, but I’d delete her in a second. xD Absolutely despise hold W killers.
Correction: Artist and YOUR fun do not belong in the same sentence. You don’t have to like her, but don’t make it all about your tastes.
-
I mean I would say they should make more killers like Artist because she’s the most fun to me, but fun is subjective, so it’s hard to say what kind of killers BHVR should be making. You can’t really please everyone but you can please as many people as possible if you keep releasing unique killers that have different ways of making them fun.
-
A tunneling Wesker is one of the most unfun things to go against in the game. All BHVR needs to do is do what @ReverseVelocity suggested. They already have the code with DS and OTR, it shouldn’t be hard to implement.
-
Weird way to spell Trickster and Skull Merchant.
-
Zarina Kassir and Yun-Jin Lee are my current favorites.
-
Skull Merchant and it’s not close. Even chase merchant is boring to me.
-
How is this Wesker’s fault exactly?
-
Because there isn’t much for survivors to counteract when facing it. It’s also a perk that greatly benefits the top tier killers while it’s kind of a nonfactor on low tier killers.
-
I am honestly so surprised STBFL isn’t higher. I see it almost every single game.
-
To say that BHVR completely ignores solo queue is so disingenuous. They have absolutely tried to improve it with the HUD changes, killer perk nerfs, etc.
Even if they’ve made some mistakes along the road, that still doesn’t give anybody the right to throw out the misconception that “they simply don’t care” only because you fail to improve at the game or because you fail at simply taking a break when you’re clearly burnt out.
-
Light-footed has been my favorite as of late. It’s so slept on and can bamboozle so many killers in a chase. A lot of fun plays you can make with this perk.
-
You’ve very clearly never played singularity if you think he can hold a 3-gen hostage. Just because he can track survivors with his pods doesn’t make it effective. That’s not even the reason SM is good at holding gens hostage. The reason SM can do that well is because it’s completely passive and it takes so much effort to remove drones and they are a requirement to remove.
-
As of late: Artist Larry Xeno Wesker Wraith
-
Dredge has dissolution which is very strong on killers like clown where predropping pallets is a good strategy. I would recommend him if you’re going for perks.
-
You’ll still get annoyed if survivors crouch only once. This perk will do nothing but make you a 3-perk killer lol.
-
At least Trapper needs to be strategic and gives a different immersion to survivors.
At least Hag needs to be strategic and has some counterplay.
At least Artist and Knight have different elements in their kit that can make them potentially interesting. Even in anti-loop, Artist still needs to aim something.
Skull Merchant is just “press M2 and survivor leaves” and “don’t go to area.” Oh boy what fun is that! Please just scrap her entire kit, nothing about her is interesting.
-
No SM rework unless her whole kit is changed will be a successful rework imo. She’s unsalvageable, I’ve been saying it for months at this point.
-
MMR is about as functional as twins was when a binding of kin came out. That’s why.
-
Yeah
-
I assume nanomachine gel can be used when playing hit and run singularity. It will need a whole build to be useful though. I would want them to buff that number up a bit though, 30 seconds is not much.

I agree with you. If you act like an ass and nobody wants to play with you, its not everybodys fault; its yours.
If (what you say is true) and nobody wants to play with streamer, we should ask ourselves why thats the case and not ignore the problem.
But not every streamer acts like that, and your suggestion will affect every single streamer, even the nice ones.

But how is bHVR going to detect if a user is streaming without it being an unjust invasion of privacy anyway?
How i said you can say it in an option if you are a streamer or just people with "TTV" in the name.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3551877#Comment_3551877
If nobody wants to play with them its maybe not a good thing? I dont understand your argument. We have 40000 dbd players if all opt out and nobody wants to play with Streamers.... what does that say to you?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3551886#Comment_3551886
Nobody said something against anon players. Why I dont want to play with people i blocked is obvious (or it should be for a normal thinking human) and for why i dont want to play with streamers scroll up.
You are pretending that DBDs community is only out of people you blocked and streamers that is wrong. People worthly of a block are as rare as streamers, but i would like to completly remove them out of my games.
Can you please reword that? It kind of sounds like you were agreeing with me while still not agreeing.
-
TTVs will have a hard time finding matches with a system like this. Yeah no thank you.
-
Margot Robbie as Kate Denson for sure.
-
I don’t know why anyone would want to spend money for skins on that character anyway. She’s so uninteresting on about every aspect.
-
I played against one recently. It’s so miserable to go against when soloing. Nothing fun is happening and it’s a waste of time. Anyone who plays like that doesn’t deserve to go against human players imo.
-
RPD is a terrible map for both sides. A lot of killers can’t even use their powers on that map.
-
I really hope they make that map not miserable. It’s arguably the worst map in the game right now.
-
Me being a straight male is my reasoning for only playing females lol. If I’m attracted to a character I would want to play them and I’m only attracted women. Can’t speak for everyone else though.
-
It’s been very recent when I started to play her. I’ve realized how amazing she is! 😁

Mostly Kate. When I see other Resident Evil characters in the lobby sometimes I'll switch to one as well to make an RE team.

I don't need to post any pictures for you guys to know my number one.
Honestly for all three of you, number 1 should be self explanatory just looking at the profile lol.
-
I think the first thing you need to do is take a break. Do other activities like playing other games, working out, listening to music, etc. Just stay away from DBD for a couple days or maybe even a week. This can help with going back to the game with a fresh mind.
Once you’re back, tell yourself that mistakes will be made in game and that you’ll take those mistakes as learning experiences. Try to say it out loud as well.
Also, don’t beat yourself up for your behavior. I and many others have had this exact same issue and I am still trying to improve with it as well. The fact that you acknowledge it and you want to do better is a major step and is something a lot of people can’t really do.
Good luck!

I mean, by this logic then pain res and DMS should have never been nerfed since the perks were totally fine as they were, they just had some nice synergy. Same goes for the old gen kick build, CoB + overcharge + eruption. There was nothing wrong with any of those perks, but the devs went and gutted them all anyways, so why shouldn't a combo that can be used to completely invalidate a chase be gutted too?
Of course, it won't be nerfed, because the devs don't care when survivors have broken perk combos, only when killers do, but let's not sit here and pretend like the devs haven't destroyed perks that synergized well together before.
But I don’t have the opinion that PR + DMS should be nerfed. I think that combo is fine too.
-
They aren’t gonna do that nor should they be forced to. You need to understand that this is a live service game and things are going to change (sometimes for the better). If you don’t have that mindset before buying the game then that’s a you problem.
-
Boop
-
I think that it’s possible to bypass the system and cheat to a higher prestige level with third party softwares. Not saying these people are doing that but getting a character to P80 or higher with only 300 hours doesn’t seem like it’s logical.
-
I’ve been having more fun playing survivor lately but that’s not got nothing to do with the game’s balance. It’s just what I’ve been feeling as of recent. My tastes on which side I enjoy more has changed rapidly over the three years I’ve played this game and it will keep changing because I’m just a sucker for both roles.
-
I really don’t think this combo is anything to complain about. It’s just like flashlights where you need to stay off gens to do it. They can make it to where the duration of buckle up is slightly shorter but please don’t remove the synergy all together. The perks are fine.
-
Bloodwebs 1 to 9 and 11 I always auto spend since the entity doesn’t consume any nodes there. In every other level, I try to scan any specific nodes I will want. For survivor, I love using syringes and styptics so I always take those when I see them, but other than that, I try to let the entity consume multiple nodes at once. If I’m feeling lazy then I’ll just always auto buy lol.
