Do you really think these people want it to actually counter tunnelling? lol
Yeah, no surprise here.

Patronizing me doesn't make your points any stronger, mate. DS protects you from being tunneled, aka being chased after being unhooked. It doesn't protect from being chased without being unhooked. This is clear. It's an anti-tunneling perk and it gives you 1 minute of protection.
Your idea to stop the timer in chases wouldn't give 1 minute, it would essentially give you infinite protection until you decide that you had enough. It's not fair to give survivors such a power over the killer.
Have you been here when Legion came out? Your idea would make killers look at the ground or moonwalk to get around the chasing timer stop. Which is unfun and useless anyway. The developers have also stated they are not going to add anything like again after the fiasco with Legion.
Oh so know you are saying it shouldn't counter tunnel unless you are being chased for 60 seconds. It's simple man no tunnel no DS. If a survivor runs in to your face after they got unhooked just ignore/slug them, they are basically wasting more time for you. And the legion part is just dumb to compare to this. The legion thing would get you downed, this would just make the killer be outside a chase for 60 seconds basically wasting more time.

And the counter to ds is to slug you which means you aren't getting hooked immediately off hook which means the perk has done it's job and you have it for the next time you get unhooked.
If you don't have a perk like unbreakable to pick yourself up and your teammates don't come and pick you up. Then oh well. There was enough time for your team to get you up and they failed you.
What's so wrong with the DS's timer to stop when being tunneled. The perk's supposed to counter tunnel right?

I think our definitions of tunneling are different. It seems to mean "chasing" to you.
By chasing I meant chasing after you get unhooked. Glad to clear it for you.

But all it does now is stop tunneling. You're ridding yourself of a helper.
Are you reading what I'm saying? I said even if the killer tunnels, they can counter DS, If they chase you until DS runs out. This is why I think the timer should stop when the killer chases you. If they don't, the DS will disable eventually when you star doing gens/objectives. That way it would actually counter tunneling.

"Right now it only rewards you if you get tunneled and play bad"
What more do you want? :D Have you considered trying to improve at the game? I honestly don't follow your thought process on this one.
All I'm say is that it killers can still get around DS with tunneling. The nerf only made the perk not abusable and not a complete anti-tunnel perk. And since you mention it, yes I stopped running DS because I don't see it worth as a perk slot. And so what if the timer stops if I'm being you know tunneled.
-
All they need to do now is make DS's timer to stop when being chased. Right know it only rewards you if you get tunneled and play bad but even in that case the killer can just slug you.

Counterpoint, no because if specific survivors had passives that others didn't it can be considered pay to win with paid survivors having abilities regular survivors don't
Thats already a thing with licensed killers but whatever
-
The only buff this perk needs is if you are near an injured survivor, they should see the for the people icon so they know you have it and will let you use it.

You didn't read the part that said "wiggle progression". You can basically see the aura and how close a survivor is to escaping from the killer's grasp. This is good for 2 things
- Knowing when to do some sick Breakout hook sabo body block stunt to save someone
- Knowing where the killer currently is after he had downed a survivor. This point is basically what makes Better Together worth using (I really want Better Together to do something else with its secondary ability. Seriously)
That would make more sense for Break out and not Buckle up.

Stacking is not needed to make it a problem, it is already problem with this 5%.
If Haste is really that much of an issue making it last like 15 seconds after someone got downed will do just fine too.

Do you know why Blood Pact and Buckle Up apply such weird effects? Because they were made to stand out compared to other perks. Giving haste to Buckle Up is just going to make Blood Pact redundant and useless. I like the theme of Buckle Up letting you know how well your teammates are doing and whether or not it's worth saving them. That killer aura reveal isn't that bad but it should probably be improved on. I've made a proposed buff for Buckle Up before :
The recovery and wiggle progress of dying Survivors can be determined by the intensity of their auras at a distance of 128 meters.
When you heal a Survivor from the dying state to the injured state, both you and the survivor see the killer's aura for 5/10/15 seconds
Buckle Up ignores Blindness and aura cloaking abilities
Why would Buckle up make Blood pact look useless. It's not like survivors lay on the ground the whole game.
Your buff idea seems nice but it still has the reason why noone would run it because it only works when you heal someone from dying state and you would usually know if the killer is near by anyway.

There is only three perks for survivors, which grant haste status effect, so let's look at them:
Blood pact- 1 it needs an obsession, while also not creating one. If you are the obssesion it deactivates. So it needs to someone else bring perk to create an obssesion. It grants haste only after healing and only as long as you are in 16m radius. So it won't be useful in a chase.
Breakout - it works only if you are in 6m radius of carried survivor, no comment required here.
Hope - It works only after exit gates are powered, but also has a time limit of 2 minutes. So the drawback is as big as on adrenaline and i will say that personally i find it just as useful and even more useful if you won't get a heal from the adrenaline.
Now, most killers are 115% speed, you certainly noticed the difference when cahsed by ds or huntress, without their ranged attacks they won't be really able to score a hit on you... and even less likely they will score 2 hits, to down you.
Now, imagine that someone was downed under the pallet, while you are nearby. Killer won't be able to pick them up because you can pallet stun them... while also they shouldn't really try to catch you because it will take forever because of 10% speed difference.
It's already a lose-lose situation for the killer because of one perk and if you add on top of that unbreakable/soulguard and ds, it will become way too abusable for the swf
A simple fix to this is to make it not stack.
And that situation already exists in the game if you combine flip flip with power struggle. You're under a pallet, another survivor comes by and you have enough time to activate power struggle.
-
@LastShoe said:
This haste status effect is just overpowered ;-;
The idea is if someone gets downed on the other side you get there quicker. And whats so op about it? The killer has to down someone in order for it to work.

Ash, his perks are trash and doesn't fit in this game

Bold of you to assume survivors can get at least 3 protection hits in a match lol
but seriously, I am pretty sure this won't be a problem.
I'm just saying its a possibility.
-
Actually you can still get the old OoO after the nerf :P. But its going to be quite hard.
Step 1: Use OoO and MoM.
Step 2: Waste you time getting MoM stacks.
Step 3: Use your MoM protection hit without getting downed.
Step 4: Heal your self.
Step 5: Well done, now the killer sees you and you see them if 16 meters apart.

Head On and Corrupt Intervention don't need buffs, they are already pretty good.
As for the Poised and Solidarity changes, it would make them better ngl, but I'm just no the biggest fan.
I had these ideas, Solidarity makes you actually heal other Survivors slower while Injured (Let's say 35/30/25% slower), but it converts the heal at 100%.
As for Poised, maybe make it activate when pressing a button like Dead Hard, it activates (lights up) when a Generator gets done, then you get the ability to remove your Scratch Marks for 8/9/10 seconds when pressing the active ability button.
You can't really make Poised like that because if you would combine it with Dead hard you would activate both perks at the same time unless I don't know, make Poised only to activate if you walk and then run like Diversion where you have to crouch.
For Solidarity I don't really like the idea of healing someone longer not to mention if the killer brings Sloppy butcher. It's already annoying to see someone use negative Autodidact skill checks on you xd.

@Crowman said:
Corrupt Intervention doesn't need a buff and it's probably going to get change if the devs do implement an "early game collapse" that they talked about at one point.
Head On also doesn't need a buff either.
The Head on buff is just to find lockers easier, especially in indoor maps. Is no big deal. For Corrupt intervetion though it would be nice to still have more uses because after 120 seconds you are playing with one perk less. Early game colapse hasn't been revealed yet so can't say anything about it.

all survivors, even their alternate skins are 21+
the devs have stated this many times and its for legal reasons, all survivors (and killers) have to be the universal legal age which is 21 even the twins (yes victor too) will be 21+

Bruh then the entity took Quentin from his 40's. He was avoiding Freddy for so long. What a poor man.

Fear vs Pain
Though tbh I don’t know if Iron Will prevents the failed med check.
Nope, Iron will only mutes survivor's grunts of pain.
-
Meh
I would buff em more like this:
Wake up:
Increase the speed from 5/10/15 to 15/20/25 and also apply the speed on everything like leader does.
Pharmacy:
Also guarantees a gel dressing addon for more heals.
Vigil:
No idea, might just rework it.
-
I don't think it stops them from seeing them just like it doesn't prevent survivors to see an alarm clock when they are asleep. However there is an addon that does it.
Rules Set No. 2: Disables the Survivors ability to see the aura of Jigsaw boxes until their Reverse Bear Trap is activated.
-
@Kebek said:
Huh, first guess would be werewolf but as I know devs, that would be too simple. I bet it's made like that to be misleeding.
In other words, it's a flying killer 100% you heard it here first.
Devs already tired a flying killer but they didn't go with it cz it was way to easy to find survivors on open maps and you power was kind of useless in the indoors maps.

But secondary thought, use them together to give the unhooked guy an even better chance
I think I would rather use other perks than to waste half of my perk slots for unhooking. I thought that was also the reason why noone runs babysitter in the first place. Borrowed time is just good enough anyway.
-
@bjorksnas said:
Maybe for babysitter add 5% haste to the saved survivor for 10/12/15 seconds that way they can get to somewhere safer
Also Cruel limits making all windows blocked for up to 250 seconds every match seems like a bit much
I thought the same but it only blocks windows. Survivors can still use pallets. Also compliting 2 gens at the same time activates the perk only once. For babysitter I don't want to make it an unhook perk because no matter what, Borrowed time will do a better job.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Babysitter sounds far too strong. How much of a haste are you suggesting?
I would also propose that Inner Strength could use at least one buff (admittedly this isn't my original idea): a token system. You can cleanse multiple totems without activating the perk; then each time you are healed through it, a token is removed.
I use inner quite a lot and I think the perk is great. For babysitter I wanted to make it more of an anti tunnel perk so the killer gets a choice to either keep tunneling but that survivor will be faster or go after you. I might just remove if you are in rage with that survivor you get Haste.

That still exists, you just have to be at a distance to see it
I know but it looked cool up close.
-
What I liked about old Freddy was, if you were awake and if Freddy was carrying a survivor, you would see the survivor float.
-
Imagine having 4 different shirtless survivors and a shirtless killer in a match. It would be like boys sleep over.

Yes, but if the hit doesn't actually help(as in you don't get enough distance to do anything and die 3 seconds later, especially if the killer has STBFL) then what's the point in wasting time hunting for protection hits when that time could be used to repair generators and potentially not need to tank that hit?
Yeah, you may be right. But I don't think they will be changing MoM anytime soon. Ash's DLC is just a joke.

I think the reset + obsession part could work, but not the speed reduction. Feels like too much of a downside, the idea is to keep the effect the same so it's worth trying to activate it, but somehow come with an activation system that's fair for both sides.
What's the point of the perk if that hit doesn't help in any way because of the speed reduction? You risk becoming the obsession, triggering rancor and other obsession perk just to tank a hit that won't help you in any way because you will just get downed 3 seconds later?
It still depends on how much it is reduced. I honestly think it should be reduced just cz the perk can give you 3 health states. The perk can still help you with taking another hit.
-
I would keep the 2 protection hit and a cooldown between hits but instead of another unhook, the perk should reset if you get downed with only 1 protection hit and then also reduce the speed when you get hit with endurance effect. Also activating MoM should make you become the obsession, rather then to just throw on the ''Increases the odds of being the Obsession''.
-
For Calm spirit I would just make it if the killer scares a crow in certain range you see his aura for 3 seconds.
For Spies from the shadows just make it so killers don't scare crows away so the perks basically counter each other.
And just add more crows on some maps.

-
But are legendary skins going to be canon?
-
Maybe instead of blocking meta perks make it so like every week 4 less used perks for killer and survivor get chosen and for every chosen perk you run you get 25% more blood points. It would encourage players to use different perks while not forcing them.
-
It's nice seeing that you are buffing perks like Prove thy-self and Stake out but will these perks that you mentioned in the last q&a (Technician, This is not happening, Small game, Cruel limits, Any means necessary, Slippery meat And Vigil) get any buff/rework anytime soon?
(If so can we see a leak? :^))
-
They could make them like Legion where there are more animatronics with the same power. For survivor they would have to wait for a fnaf film if it ever comes.
-
I think the only way to get fnaf as a whole chapter in to dbd is to wait for the movie to be released if ever.

No one has been banned yet so probably not.
You should know that this method will probably not work in the next patch so enjoy it while you can. There is no way to disable antialiasing on the PTB.
Oh then I'm too late for this I guess
-
Is there a chance of getting banned?
-
What bothers me right now is that the game behaves as the survivors are different from each other like: dailies where you have to play that specific survivor, archive's missions like dailies, difficulty measurements (if it is for the perks then what measures on killers), them all having their own inventory. I think adding uniqueness to survivors wouldn't be that much of a problem with balance especially with the maps now being fixed.
