I left DBD 1 week after SBMM came in the game, it took ONE WEEK to convince me that even tho i love the game it's just not fun anymore. then i came back to play survivor here and there and i saw that boon:COH destroys all the presure a killer has. yeah not a good state for the game and i'm also glad people are leaving, a biiig i told you so in bhvrs face.
-
Around 15k steam players don't like DBD in it's current state
-
20 percent decrease in player count on steam since SBMM, I'd say killers ARE quitting.

Not really removed, there is a reason for it.
If there would not be any cap, you would have players with maxed killers / survivors same day it was released. This way you are kinda forced to play DBD to unlock it, which is what they want.
But I agree it should be higher, maybe like 2M would be nice and it would make more sense with new grade rewards.
If i don't have the perks i want on the killer i want to play as, i'm not going to play that killer till i get them. this reasoning is unjustified.

as soon as i see someone bodyblocking with BT I just stop and stare at them,, menacingly,, for 12 seconds

What if its:
- M1 on healthy survivor cause all pallets locked in 32m radius from the hit, until that survivor become dying. Then the perk gets cool down of 60sec before you can activate again.
As if you injured a survivor, then you refuse to down that survivor, that zone is like permanently locked
a HEX perk should not have a cooldown, no matter how strong. it is a type of perk that can be removed from the match, it already counts as a cooldown.

@Starshadw said:
Not sure how your friend didn't know you had it - as soon as you hit him, he would have gotten the notification on his screen, and then the little hex icon would have remained over on the right.
That's not really the point, the perk is so underused and useless that most people don't even know it exists or forget. even I took it by mistake instead of clicking in tricksters HEX. the point is that a HEX perk that is supposed to be high risk high reward is laughably weak.

@Laluzi said:
Literally the only use of this perk is if you hit a survivor that's pallet camping and they get confused and linger for a few seconds before they realize the pallet's blocked, or if you down a survivor at a pallet and they have a buddy lurking nearby that wants to drop it on your head.
The perk desperately needs its range extended so that it affects pallets in the tiles players are running towards, not the pallets in the tile the player is running away from with their speed boost. Also, the cooldown. It's a hex perk. It's allowed to be powerful.
The only ones camping the pallet are the ones you'd usually have no problem downing. it's not like it sometimes cripples pro players. so even in that situation you could have another perk that would at least not be destroyed before it even got to work.

Honestly, in my opinion I think that the only 2 purposes the perk serves is, 1) if you achieve a down at a pallet before they’ve had a chance to drop it, it makes it safe to do a pick up without fear of a pallet save, and 2) supposed to force a survivor you’ve injured away from the loop.
I don’t think Blood Favour is meant to do more than that.
your second point is not valid at all. you want the survivor stay at the loop otherwise they take the hit and use the speedboost to extend the chase and possibly find another loop. the only way this could work is if it's endgame and survivors have somehow used all the resourses on the map and its just that one pallet AND they left the lit totem untouched which is unlikely since totems usually get cleansed super fast.

Good analysis! Just a few points for constructive criticism:
1. You should have a comparison of stats before and after. Paragraph is okay but seeing even simple columns (perk, former rank, current rank, rank change) would visualize it.
2. I would keep your eyes on Lucky Break and Iron Will climbing quickly. These two may climb quickly.
3. Do you happen to have map data? It's would be interesting to see if graphical updates have had an impact on game. Coldwind is so different now (not necessarily layout, but overall tone). I'd be interested in seeing if brighter map benefits killers (nice try hiding Blendette!) Or survivors (stealthy killers struggle more)
- i did link my previous stats so people could check them out but if it helps more i can do that for the next one.
- i will keep an eye on it for sure, Iron will was always in the top tho.
- unfortunately the site im using to save my stats doesnt have a place to save map related data.

Only 18 killer perks? Damn nobody wants to use lesser used perks. I always love using perks like oppression and Gearhead for fun
those are the perks i used on 4 killers so you wont see much variety.

Unpopular opinion it was actually kinda healthy change because if there was a killer in low ranks that used Ruin then rank 20s would have suffered a lot.
yeah it was definitely necessary as was the DS nerf

That must of took a lot of effort.
Great work!
I will say that if you would do any of this again, It would be nice to have a summary of all the killer specific match so we know more about how the statistics came to be and add the build you use in all the match (if you don't change them as much)
Overall I like how organised it and how much effort you put in. :)
will keep that in mind for the next one :)

if you're playing at right time you can easily get 90% winrate because matchmaking just doesn't work
while i agree matchmaking might not be the best out there don't downplay my skills, i went against red ranks most of the time and had to try my best to win, they didn't really line up for me to kill them I had to try harder for. my main killer is hag so playing someone like the Twins is very different than what i'm used too.

@Mat_Sella said:
If i saw Twins more than twice in a day, i'd literally just stop playing DBD until tomorrow, the most unfun experience possible combined with no BP gain because of Victor.
Here's a quick unbeatable trick against Viktor, Spin around a tree.

And I’m not trying to take anything away from your thread. Some very good information with stats and figures. And you’re clearly a good killer with stats like that. Just making fun of the usual cry babies in this forum.
it's fine dude. i almost play survivor as much as killer and sometimes campers make me mad to the point of bringing DS/unbreakable but at the end its always that random 4th survivor that makes us lose, ALWAYS.
-
@Mugombo said:
Did you by any chance keep a record of how many times DS was actually used?
i did not sadly.
-
@Red_Beard said:
I also just put some stats together from 50 Wraith games I played. Did you happen to keep track of how many times a survivor used DS on you? In my 50 games, DS was only brought 59 times so only in 29.5% of survivor builds and only used on me 10 times. So only 17% of the survivors that brought it actually used it. I get that they can be annoying, but with an 89% kill percentage, I would say they didn't your affect your performance all that much.
I ended with a 79.5% kill percentage, so not as good as yours. I did not aggressively tunnel unless I was really behind or chases were not going well and knew I would need to kill someone fast to have a chance. I also only camped 2 games where I was behind and had a person hooked and another slugged by the hook in both games.
I also felt like for a good portion of my matches, I had to put in effort to win. But in my opinion, that is a good thing. I find playing killer in red ranks to be fairly easy and enjoyable.
Of the 50 games, there were four that I felt I didn't really have a chance, but that is just because those survivors were way more skilled than me.
The worst I got in end game chat was GGEZ and it only happened in one match. I see you played a lot of twins and you also said you play a lot of hag. Those killers have a very campy play style. I'm not saying a killer camping and tunneling is an valid excuse for people to say mean and racist things, but they probably had just lost and on top of it did not have fun because even though I know there are times I have to use those tactics to win if my goal is to win, I also know it is not fun to play against. It is unfortunate that they let their emotions control their behavior and said what they said and for sure should be reported.
Thanks for the nice comments <3 while yes hag and twins do have campy playstyles i chose to not stick to that, not saying i didnt do it at all but not as much as one would think. for example if a survivor has like 10 seconds to die or go second hook stage i'd hang around to make sure that happens. i'm not a saint ill do whatever it takes to win but again camping doesnt really win games for me in red ranks.
and about the DS's, i can proudly say none of them were from hard tunneling so i was forced to eat it or slug and risk the unbreakable.

I'm sure it means you're a good Killer. Thanks for the statistics, I hope to see more of them soon!
What was the website you used to save the results, if I may ask?
thank you man, It was nl.boop.pro

@Mugombo said:
Escape rate 11%? But but but.... survivors OP what do you mean????
It either means survivors not OP or... I'm a good killer, I'll leave that for you to decide but lemme tell you, as i said the games were not easy... i lost years of my lifespans in some of those games.
-
approximatelly outta 10 lobbies i dodge like 2 or 3. if i see 3 toolboxes or a key and map
-
i'm still waiting for them to fix blight's POV but no,,, survivor animation more important
-
I main jeff but mofos got a dildo up his butt cuz hes always grunting.
-
its actually the same, in both cases you get punished for tunnel visioning on gens and ignoring totems. but with ruin/undying you take away 2 perks while with noed just one.
-
i literally didn't notice she was a new survivor until i saw a new name which i didn't recognise. like it or not she IS claudette number 2 because she looks like her, blame the designers not the community.
-
i dont know why, its not even the worst map in the game, at least its better than ormond or haddonfield but its so frustrating to play on corn maps.
-
what do the numbers mean?
-
because you dont have to bust your balls off just to win a game with him and that according to survivors is not okay.
-
so you wanna buff this annoying perk even more?!
-
YEAH KILLERS, Im a Rank 0 killer main and i main clown, i break pallets with my right leg and kick gens with my left leg, reload bottles with my left and while stabing survivors with my right hand. You should all just apply PrEsUrE and git gud. Sksksksks
-
I got called unworthy of my rank after i 4kd, 3 TIMES!! Dont let it get to you. Sore losers will always be sore losers.
-
dont buff the killers, nerf the survivors. Make them be affraid of killers. After the ruin nerf, 8 outta 10 i escaped. Thats too much but when i play killer i have to sweat my balls off to win.
-
Nahh, he's too weak. i dont wanna waste money too have a post release oni on my hand. oni was a BEAST in ptb but they butchered him after i bought him.
so unless they change him so that he's not just a weaker huntress, i dont think i'm gonna spend money this chapter.
shame tho i was so excited.
-
His perks are mehh at best, honestly cant think of any good builds unless its paired with Nemesis.
The guns hitbox tho,,, cant hit anyone unless theyre pre vaulting windows or running in a straight line. in this case one can just pick huntress and be able to hit even through pallets.
so i believe it would greatly benefit him if they increased the size of the hitbox before release.
-
i just did this 5 mins ago, dragged the nancy from the second floor and hit her.
-
just because YOU dont see it everyday doesnt mean it doesnt exist. it exists and its a problem and it needs to be fixed. there is no more ruin so no one can just say you should have had ruin and applied pressure, its in the game and it needs to go away.
-
Most of you are missing the point, i was shaking while watching this video because of the amount of pressure he was applying, i never seen this much pressure in the game. It might not seem that special to you survivor mains but to killer mains it was like orgasm.
no point in talking about his build, it wasnt meta but it wasnt bad either he did his best and didnt get the reward he should have gotten. But that isnt the point. this is Otz we are talking about, One of the best killers.
a bunch of trash survivors who couldnt even survive for more than 20 seconds did that to HIM. Now imagine the rest of us, could we do the same he did?? The answer is probably no.
yall can call us trash and stuff but something is clearly wrong if this is happening almost every game after the ruined ruin
-
@iBetClaudette said:
Everyone has their own way of playing, including this Otz guy. Not one bit interested in that guy
it's not his playstyle im talking about, you should probably watch it. just 4 minutes in and youll get it.
-
Thanks, should have done it.
-
was just about to reply with this video
-
honestly ive been playing scummy after the nerf and it feels great! No more giving survivors second chances because they messed up or something, add a little noed and boom! A delicious survivor pudding.
-
Because mastering her is really really hard, i could say she is the hardest one to master. She always was but now if you mess up you just lose the chase, its not fun to lose 2 gens just because you missed one attack and got asthma for 10 seconds is it? Those who mastered her before the nerf are the ones slaying.
