I play killer and survivor in equal measure. When I go into the game as a survivor, I'm 90% solo.
It's a mixed bag of team mates. The particularly bad ones for me are the following:
1. hatchcamper: I saved you from the hook several times, took the killer from you and tore generators. I've been hooked maybe once, usually it's the first hook you let me die on. You get out of the closet while I'm hanging there and point for me to let me die while the killer is looking for you on the other side of the map. You disappear back into the closet and sit this out until I die. Thx 4 the fish!
2nd Urban Evasion user: no idea what you do the whole game. Generators trigger allergic reactions in you, hunts do though. Your teammate is hooked with Kindred? That's not your problem, you crawl around on the edge of the map, if you get hit with sloppy butcher you heal yourself with selfcare in the corner. Why you play this game is a mystery to me.
3. selfcare users: see point 2 - but at least they try to save you again and don't avoid every chase or the gens. But they waste time and instead of healing themselves, they should have made two totems.
4. flashlight clicker: It's already absolutely annoying as a killer, but be sure, if you run behind me clicking because I should heal you, then you can wait a long time. I'm also sure I know what I'm doing and where the next generator is, you don't have to run after me like a clicking monkey because I don't play the way you want me to. I may also not want to heal you under the hook right now because the killer is running towards us right now?
5. 2s or 3s SWF: Yeah, what can I say? You help each other and I get into the second hook phase after busting my butt for you before? Better not get me down, because the rest of the game I'm going to be the best Antimate you've ever had.
6th Farmer: The bad version. You farm me right in front of the killer and don't even take a hit? When is the option finally coming that you can kick your savior in the face and refuse to tick off? XD
TLDR: It's really mixed, but those are so common stereotypes that you see every day. Not to mention that sometimes you just get matched with bad players that you have to protect a little bit and you just do the work for them because they haven't been playing that long. They are still preferable to me than the 6 guys up there, because they want, but do not know - yet - how.

I don't like playing against Bubba. I don't know what it is, but I just can't play against him. I stand there like a deer in headlights and can't do anything.
Why he triggers me like that, I don't know.
It is then from the experienced survivor with me nothing more to notice and I play like a beginner. XDD
He is the only killer where I sneak around and avoid every confrontation as good as possible.
On top of that, most (I've met exceptions too) Bubba players are campers and won't move even a milimeter from the hook.
-
I'll go with the killers that I play a lot myself:
I would put Amanda in the middle. She still wants to continue Jigsaw's life's work after ultimately failing herself.
It's not really her ideals and ideas, but she thinks it's up to her.
The clown is definitely excited to be in the mist. It gives him pleasure to pursue his urges.
Mikey - joah, I can only agree with supersonic853. What is the Entity? XD
GF is also excited to be here in my opinion. I'm rather unsure about that though.
And the Trapper certainly has a lot of rage left over, enough for the survivors to want to torture them permanently.

So they have negative emotions which the entity can feed from :D
Meh. That wouldn't make sense to me.
Then play HSH if you want to damage the killer. Maybe that's something for you?
-
I play mostly against purple or red survivors with Miss Amanda and yes, lately I've noticed the phenomenon as well. Especially that people then wanted to run out of the gate with the activated RBT. No idea what's going on there?
@BrokenSoul : Maybe this is a mistake? It should not be like that, when you are chased the timer should stop.
-
Against!
The Entity sends overpowered beings to torment the survivors. Why would Nea, oops the Entity, want you to be able to defeat these same ones?

So I should just stand in the corner facing the wall right? xD
Ah, you get it. That's exactly how it has to be.
But you can certainly keep yourself busy: building snowmen on Ormond or mucking out the barn at Coldwind Farm.

Pantless Myers has been around a lot lately and also leather dress piggy.... But I didn't find you. XDDD
Had vacation, was little on the road in forums.
I'm glad you're still around and haven't quit. <3

Just had a match against at least a two man SWF team with one of them being a Twitch streamer. They kept unhooking before I even left the area. After that I tunneled the person off hook to death and managed to kill another with NOED. Instantly got messages about how I’m a tunneling c*nt and I’m trash for using NOED. If you are going to unhook in front of my face and then vanish. Darn right I’m tunneling. I’m tired of not even leaving the area and immediately my prey gets unhooked.
Honey, I've explained to you several times that if you stay on the map, you camp. You just don't listen!
And you should have learned that you can only hit each survivor once - otherwise you tunnel! Tze! XDDD
-
I wish you and all of you a magical day too! <3

@CustomerService said:
- Most of the killers I've gotten were Nurses and Spirits. I didn't even have the chance to stun much to begin with.
- All the time. They camp/tunnel me, and everyone else in every game. Last night (I actually had nice matches for the first time in forever though) I had a Hag trapping hook/camping and tunnelling but most hags do that so nothing new. Then I was facecamped (I took screenshots of this too) by a Nurse who also facecamped every person who got hooked, she didn't leave the hook once. Then another Nurse in the School map facecamped me with NOED at the end. Then facecamped by a Spirit who also didn't leave the hook all game though the 4 of us survived. Overall, most people always camped and tunnelled at red ranks but it has increased.
- It really depends. Yesterday I won about 80% of my matches and it must have been like 10 matches. But some other days you get 5 awful pointless matches in a row.
- if by "rude" you mean tunnelling and camping, definitely yes. As I said most of them always did. But it did get worse.
- Not from my experience, same as before.
- About half my matches with, half without. I must have made use of it 20% of them yesterday, since usually when I get hooked I get Facecamped and I either die and they escape (and if this happens it's a result I'm happy with) or it's by the very end and they leave me on the hook.
That being said, I like how in the forums everyone apparently plays without DS, they never get tunnelled or if they do they love it, every game is wonderful, they don't mind dying 80% of the time, as long as "they make X bloodpoints". It must be a me problem that I'm very competitive and like to play optimally. Everyone else is apparently wonderful and there's no issues.
Hey, I had a nurse the other day who actually did facecamping with Insidious. XD I got a huge fright when she suddenly floated up and tried to attack me. She was better than any Jumpscare Myers. I really didn't expect that.
No, it's not that no one here has problems with tunneling and camping - but I just feel like it's more prevalent in the lower tiers. That's my personal experience - I rarely play SWF and when I do, I notice it more when my mates suddenly start hauling green killers.
You also have killers on the high tiers that use this tactic - but it's really much rarer. It happens, but it's not that often.
-
Generally, when I play survivor, I despise Hatchcamper. When I'm on the first hook, he lets me die instead of picking me up, even though the killer is miles away.
But I had one disgusting situation after which I hated Zarinas for ages. It was a match on Yamaoka I think and I was going as Ace. No idea who the killer was anymore, but the round went mixed. I did generators, got all my mates off the hook twice and survived my chases well so far, so wasn't hooked so far.
We still had 2 generators to do when I did get caught and hooked - the chase seemed to have lasted long enough that the last generators got done. My mates open the gate, the killer is apparently with them. Then Zarina comes, stands in front of my hook and starts tbagging me, pointing at me and similar bullshit. She then just goes and leaves me hanging there, running out with the other two. I didn't understand why until today. *shrug*

I’ve just come from a match and for absolutely no reason they were just clicking the flash light at me body blocking doing whatever they could to piss me off. If that doesn’t put people off being killer I have no idea what will. I’m still learning and it’s quite disheartening for me. I wasn’t toxic and the match had literally just started.
I know I shouldn’t let it bother me but I feel so frustrated now so much I loaded into another match and didn’t do anything.
Any tips on how to not rage 😂😂😂🤷🏻♀️😪
When I started playing Killer, I calmed myself down with chocolate - but that went on my hips and I almost looked like Jane.
So I smoked more, but then came the cough.
So neither was a permanent option. So I practiced, played a lot of killer, learned to stay calm and not get triggered (cuddling cats or petting the dog helps XD) and lo and behold, the flashlight guys are lying with their noses in the dirt real quick.
However, when I play survivor and have such an annoying mate, I can take silent revenge. xD You click me like crazy because I should heal you? Surely not.
You played like a potato and tbagg the killer? Oops? Was I in the way and he got you on the way out?
I like fair play - on both sides.
-
I play both regularly, but have been playing more survivor lately:
1. is annoying, but I have learned to put up with it.
2. not more often than before - except with the Trickster. Because of its weaknesses, many killers seem to find themselves in the situation where they have to get the first kill as quickly as possible by tunneling. There you can try with the whole team to draw attention to yourself, it doesn't work.
3. nothing has changed in this regard either. There are good days and bad days. XD
4. currently I am rank 1, when I play solo the killers are no different than usual, there I get matched with red or sometimes purple. However, when I play SWF and the lower ranks are at the start, there are many rude killers. Then you see how they stand in front of the hook and permanently hit the survivor. Kindred is like bad cinema in those moments.
5. I also see this more in the Trickster, who just desperately tries to compensate for the weaknesses. He just has to exploit every mistake the survivors make.
6) When I play SWF, as I said above, I use DS. If only so that there is an obsession in the round and the killer is perhaps a little more afraid of tunnelling. When I play solo, I don't really need it, since most red killers refrain from tunneling. But you should always have Kindred with you! :p

yeah I do to but they actively try to egg me on to slug or tunnel in a sense that they are there 2 feet away from me, do they expect me not to hit them? lol
Then it is still your decision to play as you like.
You can slug all and all go out of the round with few points and a lost pip and bad mood, or you can see worse than usual and hook one, let the 4th man pick up the other two.
You take the first option, I take the second. I wasn't scoring your way of playing, you wanted feedback and I was just saying how I would hold it.
Really the only reason I would run such a variant as a killer would be a bully squad of Redranks who refuse to do generators and are really just out to screw up my game. With everything else, I personally like to turn a blind eye and give the survivors a second chance. Maybe they just haven't been playing that long and are unlucky enough to get a capable killer.
The best I find - when I look at it as a survivor - are these rounds:
Partystreamers 2 or 3 x, then a birthday cake on top - 3 of my teammates are total noobs and run into the killer, who slugs funny. I'm at the other end of the map, but instead of him starting to hook people, he's calmly looking for me. We play catch, the 3 others bleed out and I escape through the Hatch. What has the killer gained in this case?
Right: Survivors, who then take all the "meta" advantages with them in the next round and then finish him off, because they have all the 2nd chance perks with them.

Omg of course! I've booped before and had the good graces of a benevolent Pig so I won't disrespect that xD
I REALLY don't like to tunnel / camp people so I'm also excited to use Make Your Choice with her since it encourages leaving hook / going for others. I LOVE Whispers so I think I'll love it on her if you say so. Sadly I don't have as many Killer perks as I do Survivors (I usually play Survivor) so I'll have to work on that some.
But yesss, I'll def try to not tunnel ppl with a bear trap. That just seems scummy ;u; I wanna be jump scare Pig LOL
Yes, I like to stalk too. XD If I'm up for a fun round, sometimes I just crouch behind the survivors when they don't notice me and watch them. XD I think sometimes they get really nasty scares.
I hope you have fun with the piggy. <3
-
You may play as you wish. There is absolutely nothing to say against it and if you have fun that way, then so be it.
I also don't think much of the survivor rulebook.
But: I play both sides and always try to behave the way I would want people to behave towards me.
As a survivor: I don't tbag, I don't mob the killer. I just play and don't act like an #########.
As a killer: I don't camp, I only tunnel when absolutely necessary, and slugs suck, so I don't do it.
I play with real people who are also playing an online game, not against an AI - so I don't act like an #########. Very simple.
-
I consider myself a PigMain.
As a first advice: Respect boop the snoot! XD
So I've gotten as far as the red ranks with her, and I'm doing pretty well with the fact of using whispers so I can time my sneaking well.
You've gotten a lot of good tips here, and all I can say is try them out. Learn how far you can get with their sneak attack, how well you can maneuver with it. Use it only when it's worth it. If you want to try it out and just attack for a test, take Amanda's letter with you.
Use the traps wisely. If you know all survivors are nearby and not working on generators, then downe and wait with the RBT. Use them in the middle part of the game rather than at the beginning.
And please don't become one of those piggies who chase and possibly tunnel people with RBT activated. That makes absolutely no sense. This survivor won't touch your beloved generators unless he has a death wish.
Did I mention that you should definitely respect boop the snoot? <3
Oh, as Perks I take on her mostly:
Whisper
dying light
BBQ (for the points)
corrupt

Detectives Hunch, Iron Will, Lithe und Kindred

Badham Map, Solo Q in roten Rängen, Killer: Sally

@Rabenjunge said:
Und nochmal, Sanikästen, was hast du denn dagegen?
Also wirklich viel.

Sad, I play Bubba and only tunnel, camp, or slug massively if the survivors give me no choice or act toxic.
But then again, even when I try not to camp, people just go ''omg you camper'' because its the most common behaviour associated with bubba players, sadly.
Yes, it's unfortunately a common prejudice and unfortunately there are a lot of Bubba Mains that make it their goal to be as sucky as possible and fit that exact stereotype.
But yes, there is the unmentioned 10% that I've experienced as well. They go off the hook, they chase, they hook everyone three times and they all have fun (which doesn't change the fact that I'm like a deer in headlights when it's a bubba XD).
He's just my personal nemesis.

I do the shift thing too, especially if I've been playing as survivor and then switch to killer.
I've tried to search chests as a killer too. Then wondered why I couldn't see scratchmarks as a survivor
Yes, I often miss the scratchmarks too when I play a lot of killer and little survivor.
When I want to feel at home I just use Nancy's perk. XD Then I can at least see mine.
-
I absolutely can't stand Bubba and that's even though I love the movies.
But for one thing, I become a red rank idiot when I play him and just can't loop him. I don't know, he's the only killer I can't get along with.
For another, it's the mentality of 90% of the Bubba players I've experienced. Either they slug like savages or they tunnel you out funny or they are the classic camper. Whenever I get to a round and it's Bubba, I don't feel like playing anymore.
-
I really like the basic game design, which is probably why I'm hopelessly addicted to the game.
I love the characters (both killers and survivors), especially Jane <3.
-
Yes, I have tried to clean my totems many times.
On the other hand, as a survivor I often stand in front of the palettes and want to trample them. XD
-
So my favorite killers that I like to play with (doesn't mean I like to play against them, that goes for my less liked killers too):
1. piggy
2. ghostface
3. mikey
(yes, I like to sneak up on my opponents, I know. xD)
4. Clown (i love his laugh <3)
5. spirit (I have bad days too)
If I don't like at all:
1. Bubba (I have to disagree here, I don't like him on either side!).
2. Bubba
3. Bubba
4. deathslinger (on Console he is really bad)
5. nurse (I would like to, but Console...:(
6. Bubba !

I completely agree. I typically dont like to do these dirty tactics and only do it when i feel like its necessary. I don't want to play sweaty either but like you said when they act like a Navy Seal SWF then it leaves me with few options
It is only necessary in a few games. But your thread means that no one should complain about camping and tunneling anymore, when... yes, when they make their generators, which is one of their tasks.
And the way I read your arguments and the explanations, as well as the discussion with @ShamelessPigMain I'm assuming that you're going to have to slug, tunnel, and camp more often because you're somehow getting your priorities as a killer wrong.

Once again though, they let me go all the way to second hook. So my confidence and trust in this team was low
Yes, I know that sucks - but I still try to believe in the good in people and maybe she was trying to help you with BT. Giving up is always bad and I've had cool rounds even though I got to second hook status. Partially the whole team then wrapped me in absorbent cotton and protected me the rest of the round.
There are sometimes reasons why a rescue has to wait - be it because Ruin is on it.
In any case, always (!) take Kindred with you.
-
I actually play on the PS4, but sometimes my wife gets killer tasks that she can't get done and then asks me if I'm doing them.
And what then comes partly in the chat, is just wonderful. Ultimately, the Survivor wanted to report me for wallhack and cheating.
I used BBQ and on Piggy the reduced timer for the RBT, as well as the addon that you see the boxes only after activation.
I am an evil cheater!

It felt like she was coming to save me with the killer behind her as a last ditch effort. Like if I take him off the hook he will just go for him again and I’ll get away. She was already injured and then came to me. I didn’t want to give her that.
Maybe she also thought to herself "hey, I'm hurt but I have BT, we can get this done before he dies on the hook?".
She might also have considered a swap so that the Gens could finish and she could be rescued by you afterwards?
Don't always assume the bad when there are plenty of antimates out there, too. :)

I'm not talking hard camping and its situational. At highest level with no other options the best tactic is a slug tunnel. It plays off the teams altruism. The only counter to this tactic is if the team are selfish and just genrush. If i can pressure gens i will but if the situation calls for a slug fest and tunneling then i will
It may be that this tactic is necessary in the red Navy Seal SWF to still pull out a win, but in a "normal" game this is absolutely shooting cannons at sparrows.
Call me old fashioned, but I still see the killer as a playmaker of sorts and as such I try to adapt. Normally, you can get away with playing fair against average Redranks. A slugfest is never really necessary and is no fun for the other side.
And personally, I want to be a killer that's fun to play against. The kind of killer I want to have when I play Survivor.
But in general, everyone should play the way they want to.
-
I don't know, at the moment I think there is only Stridor Spirit or Nurse. Sometimes I see an Oni or GF in the red ranks. But everything else is really rare.
Bubbas are my hate killer, because most of them have a really annoying play style and only very rarely there are some that don't slug, tunnel or even camp. Even on the high ranks they somehow get further and I wonder why?
But it's really not the killers that I'm upset about most of the time. My teammates suck so much sometimes. The worst are the Hatch campers who don't even try to save me from my first hook at the end. Even though I have Kindred with me and they can see exactly where the killer is.
Or the people who farm you off the hook in front of the killer and don't take a hit. When is the feature coming that I can kick such people in the face as a survivor?
When the MMR test was, it was better - I had really mostly good mates who have even heard of body blocking and safe hook rescue. xD

how is my logic flawed? did you even read the whole post? I stated that those are the tools that the killer uses to combat gen rushing. Not that anyone wants killers to do that. Good killers included. I said at the end that after they balance the game they should find ways to punish tunneling and camping as they wont be needed if the game is balanced.
But to what extent does camping stop the genrush? If you're on the hook and you stay there, you can't protect your gens?
Tunnelling may be helpful in some situations, or at least slugging one or two survivors, but camping mostly (unless they all swarm the hook) makes no sense.
-
The streamers I follow regularly play both. And I like to watch both.
-
I will at least give it a chance. It's colorful, I like colorful - so I'll take a look at how it plays outside the PTB in the days to come.
As a self-confessed PIG main, I don't need an overpowered killer to have fun. Maybe he has potential to become my new number 4. 🙄

@IsJustMe : Ooops!

Imagine if they rework Haddonfield and then the same thing happens as with The Game? ._.
All fences and bushes gone, instead one god palette after another....
