Nah, I see a lot of meaningful discussion on the forums. Suggestions like fixing a few problem windows, killer or survivor suggestions (like new killers/survivors and proposed perks/powers), tier lists and generally constructive posts. Not like 99 % of the crying posts.

Dudes, cross save is da hard dur dur dur - BHVR
Legit quote I read from them somewhere. I swear.
-
Awesome meme. Also, I'm a killer main. And I sometimes camp. It's my right.
Depending on what YOU, the survivor, do before and during the trial is what will prompt me to camp. Want to be a cocky little ######### with a flashlight and tbag? You're not making it out alive. Want to make me wait the whole 60 seconds in the lobby without readying up? I'll keep you on that hook for double that time.
This is a fairly sandboxy game, we can all make our own rules. And those are mine.
If you happen to be in my trial and get camped, ask yourself what YOU did wrong. If you're legit salty I camped after you tbagged, too bad. I'm the killer, I do what I want. You do your gens, show me the god damned respect I deserve as the killer and we good. Got it puny little rat faced survivors?
-
Perfect! Thanks!

l2juke. Max hatchets is 3 with Iri heads and infantry belt. If you get close enough to the huntress you're too close for the hitbox as well. I consider myself a decent huntress but people that disrespect the hatchet throws and do hotlaps around you makes you have to M1 almost 99% of the time.
I think its ######### that people are calling for nerfs to Iri Head.
Anyway, IF there was a nerf to Iri Heads I think that your idea isn't as bad as God knows what the Devs will ever cook up. I imagine their rework would be something like;
Iridescent head:
A glass-like Hatchet head moulded from The Fog itself. The blade is warm and reverberating with The Entity's power.
Fully wind-ups hatchets Inflicts Dying upon the Huntress
Considerably increases BP for survivors who entered the game.
"The iridescent glass cuts through flesh and soul."

A killer whose power is to accelerate time
Yes, because instead of 5 min games I'd love to have 1.5 min games. Killer loss, of course.
-
BBQ, devour hope, haunted grounds and pop.
Pray haunted grounds pops when you start your first chase and snowball away. Nobody suspects the DH. Haha
-
Honestly this is an example of a really crap build. Chances are that literally 1 minute into the game you're perkless.
As a general rule of thumb if I run Ruin I don't run other hexes. If I run DH the only other acceptable hex is haunted grounds. And I NEVER run any hex totem with corrupt intervention.
Follow these few simple rules are you'll find yourself raging significantly less over totems. You MAY even get more than 1 min of play out of them.
-
I will occasionally camp, not gonna lie. If I'm having issues finding people early, super immersed Blendettes and whatnot. The second I get a hook I proxy it to bait out altruistic survivors or those lovely players that farm hooks. And honestly, it works 99% of the time. Maybe if survivors saw the camp was happening and just did gens this wouldn't be a thing but, unfortunately, they do the same damn thing every time. Rush the hook like dummies and then cry about camping. It's especially silly when its an Insidious Bubba... like come on stupid little survivor main... you know my chainsaw hits like 30 times in 2 seconds. What you trying to do?
Anyway, thanks to all of you that fall for the trap. You've helped me level all the killers to 50. Its much appreciated. The salt posts like this one just fuel my camping engines and legitimize the strategy even now that I have all killers to 50, lol.
-
For me its the Billy. Chain saw sprinting across a map and randomly downing a Blendette is just way too amazing. And for whatever reason I get this often enough that it deserves the mention. Haha
-
Title is cross save. Not cross play.
-
Yeah, your point about the perk bandaids is valid however I feel as though its sort of by design. Devs want us to buy DLC to get whatever perks to curb game issues. @SpaceCoconut talks about it quite a bit and I tend to agree.
I also don't really feel like instas are quite as big of a deal as you make it out to be. DS tends to piss me off a lot more haha. If instas drag a chase out another few seconds then its just more points? I guess? Haha.
-
Haha, or not even block but just reduce the heal by whatever it is 30%. So they burn their insta but they didnt actually full heal the dude. Only 70%. Then theyre standing there with their thumbs in their ass
-
Hmm. Still, this can only really happen... *potentially* 7? Times in a game? Thats everyone with instas and god rng getting instas from chests, right? I'd almost just go drop the dude that burned his insta to get the guy on the ground back up. Just to show him whats what. I honestly haven't even seen this happen more than 3-4 times over hundreds of games tho. Playing at purp ranks. Is it really happening to you /that/ often that its an issue?
-
Did you leave them slugged or were you literally right there. Cause unless whoever is healibg is a god body blocker you should be able to have your M1 off cd by the time an insta goes through to just redown. Ive kind of had this and Ive found a quick crouch and ambush can thread the needle past a blocker the secure the down again too. The ambush range is really solid with Pig
-
Well, with Pig are you able to down people or are you having them insta after first hit and get away? If scenario 2 is a thing then maybe work on tracking. I find when I play Pig I can get that first hit easily enough. If they burn their insta at that point I just laugh and chase em down again. If they're doing a good job of looping or whateven after like 30 sec, drop chase and stealth up to go for another person and ideally another free hit. Instas are finite in a match. Your ability to stealth up with Pig isn't. Really shouldn't be having issues so long as you juggle the survivors and keep em on their toes and just keep injuring.

What if I don't want to play Billy because I don't particularly enjoy him, and I don't have Franklin's? Am I just screwed?
What killers do you enjoy playing / play often? And what killers teachables do you have available? If you give me some insight maybe I can help? Without knowing I was just giving some general advice
-
Insta heals are totally fine. As a killer main, if I start seeing a bunch of medkits I just put on frankies or swap over to Billy. No chance to instaheal if they're insta ded. Lol. And if someone else burns their heal on a downed survivor then its a quick boop to drop em. OR, if two instas are burned for a single down, even better.
Ive actually had that where I got the down on a Nea, some Dwight runs up and instas. Nea vaults and instas herself. Now shes full health again. I come through window, saw her down almost immediately. Back to exactly where we were at 15 sec ago but 2 insta heals down. I win.
Instas aren't an issue. If you feel they are then you're doing something wrong. Try running Franklins or work on ending your chases faster/watching for kits in lobby and making a smarter killer choice to counter it.
-
Definitely Devour Hope. The snowball that can be rolled with this perk is just insane if they don't get it down before 3rd token.
-
Thanks for your response, much appreciated. I noticed you said that cross progression is not currently in the works, I suppose that means that it has been brought up interally at some point?
-
So, @Peanits said in another thread that its currently not a thing.
Is this in the works? Any update on LF and Freddy? Why haven't I seen a single update on where these two killers are for Switch version?
-
You're still ending up with less content, LF and Freddy, for more moneym. Not to mention the grind. Cool to know you get BBQ in the bloodweb but I still don't think that makes up for it.
Are Leatherface and Freddy on PS4/Xbox? What happened to the Switch?
Also, I was going to say we def have DbD IDs. Because of what @Gorgonia said. I remember having to dig it up when opening a ticket.
Still waiting to get more info on this. Its 6am here in BC which means its 9am in Quebec... wonder what time these guys open up shop.
-
Well, I was curious so I tossed all the Killer DLC in my Switch cart and it worked out to another $116. Which is basically the exact price I've already paid for the Base game plus all Killers on the PC. And, so I've heard, you don't get Leatherface and Freddy! So I'm paying MORE MONEY for LESS content.
Explanation please?
Paying for Base game I'm fine with, like I've said, because they've obviously put some work into getting it on the Switch. Paying for all the content which I've already supported? Nah. They'll get no more out of me without word on transferring account info over, even if its just a 1 time thing.
For anyone who thinks I'm being ridiculous and unreasonable just consider the fact that Fortnite is cross platform. Fortnite also transfers all your cosmetics between platforms. Oh, and the base game is free. I'm not an entitled gamer. I simply expect a higher standard from developers.
-
Lowering the values of the web kind of helps. But I've already dropped $120 on the PC version. Know what I mean? It's not so much the perks as the actual content. I really do not want to repay for Leatherface, Freddy, Demo, etc again.
Maybe I'm alone in this and people will just throw money at it. But when you release a game on a new platform it should be a base option to load your stuff in. Paying for the base game is fine, they obviously went through whatever amount of work to get it on the new platform but re-paying for all the content? No.
-
@Grandkurama said:
I higly doubt there will be cross save files
Well, doesn't hurt to ask. If enough ask before throwing money at it, maybe they'll consider it as an option.
If people throw money at it FIRST then Hell no. Personally, I won't give Behaviour any more money without that being an option.
-
I always only tunnel and camp the last survivor to ready up in the lobby. Oh? What's that? Making everyone wait a minute so you can play with your bloodweb? Nah brah. You ded.
Everyone else can live. Mind you, if I see more than 1 person not readied up by the 20 sec mark I swap to nurse and those couple people are dead. Guarenteed.
-
Careful speaking your mind regarding game health. I did and was warned and had forum priveleges suspended. Just keep paying for all the DLC and cosmetics and let the devs deal with the game. They know best.
-
Seeing as the rank system is trash in this game... I tunnel. Who cares about pips? Snag some quick bps for some hooks and kills and onto the next game. Its the most efficient way to farm bps. Farm survivors as fast as humanly possible. Nurse hag and spirit some of the most viable, best tunneling farmers there are. Makes sense. I dont care about your game, I want my p3
-
I agree that the perk has a horrible range currently, and also with the dude above that says it should just pop 2/3 nearest gens. But! No CD! So, maybe take away the 12% regression.
I am not a big fan of cds and kicking 3 gens for 37.5% total regression for a 2 min cd? 2 PGTW could be done faster than that, ez. And that's 50% regression.

I dont understand why killers like hillbilly, leatherface, plague, pig should be punished if they decide to use their power while for example surge is eguipped. I don't think it is a good idea to discourage certain killers to use certain perks on the account of their power, but yet legions feral frenzy counts as basic attack, nurse blink attack counts as basic attack, ghostface and myers exposed attack counts as basic, but pig does not get that bonus nor do hillbilly and leatherface. They changed this on infectious fright and now that perk is pretty great!
Perks should NEVER restrict killers from being efficent with their power.
And bonus complaint. putting more than 1-2 restrictions on perks is also not very great gameplay design. I mean with surge. You have to down someone for it to take affect. Ok fine now i know how to trigger it, but only within 24m, ok fair enough not making it to OP. BUT you HAVE to use your basic attack! Wait what? So now its only good on wraith and clown got it. And also if you play good you can still only use it every 40 seconds. Enough with all the restrictions man. 1 or 2 is enough.
Same goes with the survivor perks seconds wind should have some remove some restrictions removed and it would be great.
Imagine if using adrenaline you have to complete all gens. Fine. And also you have to be the one that completes the last gen and not within the terror radius. Its not fun with so many restrictions that make good perks outright bad. So stop making new super restrictive perks.
Rant over.
but yet legions feral frenzy counts as basic attack
YOU CANT DOWN PEOPLE AT ALL WITH LEGIONS POWER
-
Honestly, with the counter being hold m1 on a stack of bones for 5 sec, I don't get how people think hexes are killer favoured. Its absolutely mind blowing. If each survivor took 30 sec at the start of every game to do a quick scout and cleanse run then there would never be a hex up.
This serves another purpose too. If you do this instead of ramming your junk into the first gen you see then you probably won't be spotted by the killer as fast and you'll probably get a chance to scout them. Pretty valuable information.
Basically every killer game I play people are so hot and horny for them gens that on my first patrol, Hell the first gen I walk to, I find and down someone. If I had to go around the whole map a second time because none of the gens were running... welp, unless I'm running whispers then I'm just doing hot laps. Meanwhile the survivors popped all the bones, if I'm running hexes. Games now in their favour as I'm down maybe 1 or more perks.

Do you see the amount of people who rely on ruin? Hate to say it but changing Hex perks would do more harm than good.
Honestly don't understand how you think it would do more harm than good. It could go either way if the developers actually got off their arses and did SOMETHING with it.
I mean, if they changed hexes so there was a dull totem count on screen somewhere that would be a good change. For killers and survivors. As a killer I'll know if my NOED is still up. As a survivor I'll know if there's late game potential for NOED.
Thats an example of a good change that I think could be implemented to totems.
A bad change would be to take all totem perks and stick them on 1 totem. So, if you're running Ruin, DH, NOED they're all on literally 1 totem. That would be bad. It COULD be good/cool if said totem took as long as a generator to cleanse/had skill checks. But, generally probably a weird/bad idea DEPENDING on how it was implemented.
I don't care how many people run Ruin, I personally never use it because its always gone within 10 sec of a match starting. As a general rule of thumb though changing this doesn't necessarily do more harm than good. It 100% always depends on if its actually a good change. And probably whether you, as the end user, actually agree with the change, haha.

@GrootDude said:
It’d be unhealthy to nerf them in any way, shape, or form currently. If it was still a beta game and totems were never added then things would be fine, but now? Changing them in a negative way would be unhealthy for the game.
Just because its not beta? I disagree, many full games change to make things better. Sometimes it doesn't go well but they're trying things. Look at Epic... haha. BHVR doesn't make changes, period. Which is the exact opposite of most companies. And thats an issue. Gameplay is stale and broken. A huge, positive change, is exactly whats needed. Fix some bugs, do whatever positive change and do it now. Don't wait 2 years to fix crippling issues. Thats how you lose a playerbase.
-
BHVR doesnt care about retention. They want to sell as many copies of the base game and the new, most expensive DLC as possible and then who cares. They'll get you again when they announce the Aliens chapter or the Dracula chapter... or whatever the Hell they decide to release next. They'll cash in on that... and just rinse and repeat. Theres been bugs in the game for MONTHS and no hotfix.. just shows they dont care about you. Sure, they're working on ALLLLL this other content... uhm, okay. Hows about fix the core game before adding another cosmetic? Probably took longer to upload that cosmetic into a quick patch then whatever bug fix that they put off pushing out. Its honestly #########. If they have a fix for any bug it should be pushed out immediately... especially stuff like not being able to heal in a game. Or the ranked bug. Yaok.

Bugs dont Pop up every game, i even doubt many players even encounter a Bug a Day. So dont overexert that much.
Oh ya? I've been playing a bit each day for the past long while and LITERALLY EVERY DAMN GAME I HAVE THE RANKED BUG. I have not been able to rank up. Period.
I can play a killer game and get all 12 hooks for the 4k, max iri all emblems whatever and then booted back to PRESS SPACEBAR screen and not rank up.
Same thing with Survivor; unhook everyone all match. Always lose the killer. Do every gen in the game. OH! Back to the SPACEBAR screen, no rank up.
I couldn't agree any more with Slaymore. Fix. The. Game.
I absolutely hate seeing more content before the god damned Devs deal with current content. Stranger Things chapter and all this ######### can all go right to Hell if I can't even play a game without there being bugs. Cosmetics can all go to Hell if I can't play a game without bugs.
This mismanagement will honestly be the death of this game. They're running their business as though it's a money tree BUT! fun fact: the god damn roots and trunk are infested with bugs. Guess what happens to the tree? It effin' dies.
And yeah, not just the ranked bug but other bugs like DH failing and not being able to heal people. HEAL PEOPLE! That's a CORE mechanic in the game. CORE. If that doesn't work... srsly #########.
-
I frags noobs all day long because BHVR can't FIX THE RANK BUG. R1 killer stuck at R15 for the last 3 months. Soooo much blood.
-
I love the 5 variations. I agree with whoever said that it keeps people on their toes. Frankly, if the maps could be 100% procedurally generated, therefore basically never the same, I would be completely on board with that.
You shouldn't be able to 'learn' the map. You should be running for your bloody life, thinking on the fly as I come at you with my knife. Would make both sides of play way better.
No more of this running straight to godloop A, running it 3 times and then straight to jungle gym B... oh gens are done, bye. The way it is now some of the maps and loops are literally mathed right out and as a survivor I know 100% of the time EXACTLY how to play them to a high degree of efficiency. I mean.. the killer can always go chase someone else but they also know the same loops and then its gg.
Change is good. Don't push back against one of the best things to happen to the game in a long time.

I tried running corrupt intervention as hag, but it hasn't been very useful. Ruin seems like an important part of her kit. Any suggestions for other perks to run? (I run PGTW, agitation, and BBQ, sometimes mad grit)
For hag I find a good build is Nurses, M&A, MyC and Franklins. Frankies is the flex perk. If you want to run Pop or Ruin or whatever it goes here. The others are way too good on hag. Go for tele distance and placement speed addons.
