There's a video on YT by Hens333 showcasing,,Rule seems to be " if survivor doesn't have LOS aka line of sight on spirit while she is in phase they don't get directional sound,,just the generic vacum cleaner thing,basically old spirit ,what remains is someone to confirm if it's intentional or a bug ,here's the link to it

"Killers got universal buffs in the meta shakeup patch"
- Can you elaborate how killers got buffs?
didn't they get faster recovery from hits / faster pallet breaking and some other minor stuff ?
-
Dead hard is good now ,,
Adrenaline will never be touched because essentially you play with 3 perks until last gen pops,and even then if you aren't in chase or injured it's useless
Ds got destroyed it's practically useless in most cases now ( it had to cuz it was absurdly strong)
Iron will is just not worth it anymore with the exhaustion condition
Circle got nerfed twice (rightfully so) and word around the forums is it will be nerfed again down the line
Killers got universal buffs in the meta shakeup patch
What i would like to see for survivor nerfs is prove/hyperfocus/bnps gutted and thrown into outer space
-
I feel like toxicity has lost its meaning and is thrown around like a lot more than it should be,,,Tbag ? toxic,,,Killer nods after downing you with a mindgame ? Toxic,,,,survivors looping well ? toxic,,,Killer existing ? toxic,,,
-
Honestly just give us the vault build back,,,i miss it dearly
-
i'll tell you one thing,,,Midwich offering , sabo toolboxes ,3 petrified oaks ,exponential ,soul guard, breakout ,,one person working on gens while the rest laugh at your attempts to hook ,works on badham, dead dawg saloon as well and probably other maps i haven't tried out ,,not as good as circle for sure but can make you just as miserable with a dedicated squad

Probably, but just in case I thought I'd point out the obvious that is being missed, lol.
and honestly the only time i've seen anyone run iron maiden except huntress/ depipster it's adept legion or some madman artist player trying to punish people fast vault lockers to get rid of lockers which while niche sometimes yields results

I mean to be fair that isnt why I run it, but I do sometimes run that combo on trickster/huntress/dredge, and it is nice when it works out.
You do realize that there is another counter to that combo right?
In case you don't, all you have to do is not be within 8m of a locker, if you do that neither perk affects you.
they just want to hide in a locker probably while the other survivor is fighting for their life / avoid bbq on last hook or smth
-
I played two yesterday and yes she is probably bugged or smth because the directional sounds was goin on and off and cuttin weirdly,,PS Hands off spirit <3
-
I assure you with 1000000% confidence, No killer will run these two to deny someone the hatch,,, you are not owed the hatch as the last person just as the killer is not owed the 4 k

I just want it nerfed for camping more than anything else honestly.
One thing I do like about STBFL is that it helps weaker killers keep up a bit more (especially killers like Pig) and it doesn't make Nurse or Blight more oppressive because it's not good on them.
yeah whenever it's a Pig / demo / slinger and as of lately nemesis they do run this perk 99% of my games,,honestly it's what keeps most M1 killers relevant
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343875#Comment_3343875
Imo it's also obnoxious when carrying a survivor. If survivors don't realize the killer has STBFL and try to block a hook/sabotage only to get downed by STBFL that's often very hard to come back from and I don't feel like this should be the perk's strength, nor should its strength be in camping. It should be a good chase perk, but that's all.
Fwiw, if the cooldown reduction was lowered to 4% per token (instead of 5%) the cooldowns would still be shorter than they were prior to 6.1.0 all the way up to 7 tokens (and only slightly worse at 8).
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GMIUFJ0CSCDA/image-2023-02-12-214808356.png
i can't with math so ima take ur word for it but "not realizing killer has X perk" shouldn't be a point used for balancing reasons ,and to be fair unless you're the obsession you shouldn't be giving up stacks like that imo
-
@fulltonon said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343875#Comment_3343875
Like that's pretty much camping problem, and more of a game design itself.
Not really a perk.
it's actually the perk + the two extra free stacks from generic killer buffs,,i can 90% of the times trade a hook vs a non instadown killer without gettin grabbed but the state of the perk doesn't allow that ,,again i'm not saying it should be nerfed just saying it's the only reasonable nerf i could think
-
While arguably the perk is stronger than before for telegraphed hits it can now be baited and gain absolutely nothing other than looking goofy for the animation,,i honestly don't think it should ever be touched again,,it went from braindead to actually need timing / some skill
-
The problem is the people of the community that play only role and touch the other only for archives when they need BPs ,,,We also have no confirmation who they balance the game around,,is it swf, is it top mmr , is it casual players like the majority of the playerbase ? And lastly i'll use eruption as an example,,every person that plays solo hates that perk and even killer hardcore mains say the perk is too strong,,so they listen and nerf it BUT they go overboard and hit it too hard with the nerfs,,all they needed do was remove incapacitated ,i kinda feel devs don't play their game all that much sometimes and just focus on what the majority of the community says even though it's not always the right call
-
@fulltonon said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343142#Comment_3343142
Even then it's not really needed or necessary, there is no real reason killers can't have faster attack time than pre meta shakeup.
Idk ,the only time this perk is just obnoxious to deal with is when killer is fully stacked and camping a person,,you can't even trade without unhook increasing effects
-
I mean if i realize killer has tinkerer i'm always keeping a closer look when gen reaches the tinkerer trigger point..HUD does nothing for me, i even callout "tinkerer range" to my friends on discord just in case killer has it when i repair a gen
-
I like it i'd even be a bit more generous since it's one time and promotes not going hard tunneling
-
I think you're talking about circle , perk nerfed twice already,,,can't see how they nerf it even more although there's a rumor it's up the nerf block later down the line,,perhaps they make it give self care speed or remove the speed for altruistic heals / medkits?
-
Experienced players / swfs barely get value from the progress icons and because i mostly play survivor both solo and swf i can assure you the solo randoms i get still refuse to use the info they get to improve their performance,,i still hit stage two ,i still am slugged even though fully recovered ,i still see randoms blessing totems even though they aren't in chase and we need no totem blessed but gens done ,,Gettin the info doesn't equal playing better for the majority of players,,play some survivor games and u gonna see it doesn't have the huge impact you think it does

Purely opinion, and imo, a wrong one. FFS its like people think their brain can surmise everything and everyone has to accept it.
I play trapper, and will happily crush any team you can send my way. I wont run gen perks and Ill stomp your team into the ground. Or hook. Whatever.
Good for you, but objectively trapper is a trash killer, you just happen to be good with him and if you have fun playing Evan you should keep doin it

BP offerings, Mori offerings, basement offerings, Coin offerings (the ones that influence the number of chests) and White Wards/Black Wards are fine as is.
Map offerings I would have less issue with if maps were more balanced. Over time though, I’ve started leaning more towards the opinion that the game probably would be better without them. The only thing I would care about would be some sort of exception for Mirror Myers because that’s literally unplayable without an indoor map and I wouldn’t want to see that go away.
Mist offerings are a total waste of BP and should either be replaced with something more useful, or removed and either refunded or converted to BP offerings.
Luck offerings should be expanded to affect chest loot as well, but other than that they are fine.
Hatch offerings shouldn’t exist for either side, it should be left up to chance every game.
The Shroud offerings are pretty pointless, the survivor offerings force you to start together which is bad for survivor and the killer offering spreads survivors out which is bad for the killer. Maybe they could be reversed to the opposite roles so they’re actually useful?
The Oak offerings (the ones that alter the hook spawns) are whatever. I never use them, I’m not really sure how useful they actually are. Couldn’t care less about them honestly.
1 hook offering is barely noticeable, get 3-4 petrified oaks and it's not very fun 😂

Maybe people somehow relate to her because she is a gamer ,like how many gay people specially after he got confirmed as gay did with David but whatever the reason is ,companies work like that and focus their resources on the product that sells more

Do me a favour and you know, stop telling ppl to change their killers just becouse you feel like all m1 killers are trash garbage.
while what he suggests isn't really applicable it's true that most M1 killers are close to trash tier and either have to go heavily gen regress or get carried by stbfl
-
The problem with blight is he has too many good addons while having a really strong basekit,,hopefully when they eventually decide to give him an addon pass he doesn't get the spirit treatment,,i'd like to see alchemist ring but mostly C33 thrown under a buss and buried into an unmarked grave
-
the only reasonable nerf would be to remove two stacks since killers took 2 free stacks anyway when the meta shakeup happened
-

It already does show the auras of dropped pallets right now (but only while it's not on cooldown).
Since the cooldown is going away, now this effect will always be active.

Where did BHVR say the perk would allow people to see dropped pallets anywhere on the map? I thought the exact words are "This perk is losing its cooldown, meaning you can use it whenever you see a dropped, unbroken pallet.", which doesn't say anything about getting additional aura reading.
doesn't it have a huge aura range for dropped pallets ?
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
It's going to make killers feel even more miserable when they are against a coordinated SWF, where the survivors are using voice communications to point out all the pallets that need to be reset. Solo survivors aren't going to know where all the pallets are that can be reset, but SWFs with voice communication can get so much more value out of this perk buff.
you don't need someone to tell you to pick a pallet you already know because of the perk and honestly picking up some pallets could be a waste of time since some are absolutely useless ex the new "tetris" tiles on azarov maps ..i'd never bother picking those up even for 10k points

Couldn't agree more, honestly they can keep the regression at 10%, they really don't need to nerf the regression part of the perk
It wasn't the regression part for me anyway,it was the freaking 25 secs of being USELESS 😂

I agree it needed a nerf but this was way too hard of a nerf. Pop was fair and it was nerfed, Ruin was fair and it was nerfed. Thana was only useable on two out of 30 killers and it was nerfed. Overcharging by itself in the PTB was fair and it was nerfed. A perk of being fair doesn't mean ######### to the devs. If it is complained about by a lot of survivors it will be nerfed to the ground like they did with all those other perks. My point is the devs take nerfs way too far with killer nerfs. They dont actually try to fix the problem with a overpower perk they take the easy route and just nerf it to the ground so no one will every run it again. PR and DMS will get this treatment in a few months mark my words.
agreed about pop / ruin and overcharge.i'm happy with thana gettin gutted though it was too much on those 2 killers that were running it basekit
-
@BlueRose said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3341243#Comment_3341243
No they will totally nerf PR. When it becomes the number one used perk alongside DMS the survivors will flood the forums once again and complain about it and the devs then will nerf it to the ground as they do with every strong overused killer perk. They did it with Thana, Overcharge, Ruin, Pop, and now eruption. If you think PR is safe you kidding yourself. No killer perk is safe if it's the most used killer perk,s unlike DH which was num one before its rework and still num on after its rework.
If anyone told me pain reso + dms is unhealthy / bad / unfair i would literally tell them to git gud and use their eyes
Eruption was absurdly strong and had to get the nerf hammer ( a bit softer though)

This won't actually address the disparity between SWFs and solo players at all. Teams will still be able to consistently counter its effects, while solo players will not.
I'm fine with getting rid of incapacitated, but changing it from 10% total to 10% current is way too much on top of that. How the hell does anyone think that will make it "more impactful on generators that are nearly completed"? Now it will be 9.9% damage in the best case scenario (which will almost never be the case), while it will probably do closer to 2-5% on average.
Before, it would do 10%, plus an extra... what, 7-8% because of incapacitated?
Again, I'm fine with getting rid of incapacitated, but games were already getting harder as an M1 killer main what with survivors getting access to gen progress. We still need a way to keep gens down.
Hopefully they finally deal with perks like prove/hyperfocus and addons like bnps next

Im a distortion, calm spirit and iron will build user anyways. So im winning anyways. But im sure not many killers will replace eruption with something else anyways
Probably pain ress / dms will rise up again but hey at least as a solo player you can counterplay that unlike eruption where the only counterplay was not touching gens when someone is in chase which is pretty counterproductive

Thing is, it's 10 seconds of aura reading when you're downing a survivor, so you're usually not in a good position to act on it. Huntress can maybe turn around and cross-map if she's lucky about what map she's in, but if snowballing is your angle, I don't know why you wouldn't run Infectious Fright instead, which doesn't require the survivors to be on gens that you previously kicked. And if you want info on the side of kicking gens, Nowhere to Hide is much better and gives you information when you're ready to use it rather than incidentally.
It's not nearly enough payoff for having to go and kick the gen yourself. I was fine with Eruption giving more than Pain Res because of that, I just hated that it effectively kicked survivors out of the game for half a minute and you'd deal with that multiple times per match.
Yeah perhaps too many ifs ,i'm not trying to sugar coat it,,it's gonna be niche for sure

I never said I was, I just provided a counter argument to something you said that wasn't accurate.
I disagree it was carrying bad players. It required downs to get any value, ie bad players don't get downs and see no value. We can agree it needed changes, but to say it rewarded bad players is just objectively false.
Yes it did carry mediocre players and made matches unreasonably grindy and lengthy because eventually survivor resources are gettin used the more a match goes on,,the 25 secs of being legit useless was disgusting,BUT i do agree they went overboard with it
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3341174#Comment_3341174
You think those killers are seriously kicking each gen? That's the big part you're missing, kicking gens wastes a lot of time and pressure. It's almost always a bad move to do, the gen kick regressions are the only thing making it worth it and now that's gone. Eruption time back on down was what made it worth kicking before, it's not now.
No one is forcing you or any killer to use the perk anymore, but you know what ? i'm glad it won't carry mediocre players like old DS/UB/DH did for survivors
-
@Laluzi said:
I'm glad they nerfed it, because it was one of the most frustrating things to play against, but they nerfed it way harder than it needed to be. All they had to do was get rid of the Incapacitated and then strengthen it a bit elsewhere. There's no reason to run it anymore - it takes way more time to use than Pain Res or Jolt for considerably worse returns. The aura reading is not especially helpful when you could generally tell where the survivors were anyway between the screams and the specific gens you'd kicked. It's a dead perk now, much worse than it was before they buffed it in the first place.
I don't know, I often get the sense that they don't understand what the problem is when it comes to these kinds of nerfs.
10 secs of aura reading is huge for some killers with high mobility or snipe potential like nurse / huntress/ blight / billy perhaps though i do agree it should get a slight buff like +5% regress or smth ,on the average m1 killer it has now become mediocre
-
i do agree weaker killers should receive targeted buffs ( not generic killer buffs) but saying the HUD is a huge buff is not entirely true,,,Solo is still solo and people still are late for unhooks even though they know someone else is gettin chased,,gettin the info doesn't equal correctly using the info
-
@Chilli_man2400 said:
I think it was actually nerfed to hard. I don’t know how current progress math works. But I think it should have stayed at 10% progress total but removed incapacitated.
Pretty much "of current progress" means X % mount of the bar you have repaired / filled while of total means from the whole bar,
example let's say it was 25 % ,
total progress would remove 1 quarter of the bar amount of progress which means if your gen was anywhere between 1 -25 % it would go back to zero
of current it would mean it would remove 1 quarter of any repair progress you have on the gen at that exact time
I really do suck at math though so take this with a grain of salt
-
scourge hook floods of rage , lethal pursuer , iron maiden with a flex spot is what i usually meet as a survivor when i meet huntress,,many decent aura perks to pick for huntress honestly ,,Bbq ,darkness revealed or even bitter murmur
-
I would say they should give it like 5% more regression or smth but i'm glad i won't be useless because of incapacitated effect
-
They are crying because they think using windows makes survivors good loopers or smth when in reality it's them not playing better

I hadn't even thought about Trickster's smaller Terror Radius but yeah that's a factor too.
My issue with Hubris is it relies on being stunned by a healthy Survivor, which is less likely than being stunned by an injured one, since they'll be more prone to drop pallets.
I've actually tried Hubris on Wraith, since Lightburn counts, though the one time I got value from it was, ironically, a pallet stun that let me interrupt a Key escape
I'm not exaggerating when i say "the only time i got hit with hubris was from a dedicated enduring / fury / hubris combo " but the issue is A you give 3 slots B once survivor finds out you have 1 perk left to work with ,survivors will just predrop and you are left blue balled
