That was a lore accurate Bubba ,over the course of your dbd career you will learn to love and appreciate these Bubbas,,,Jokes aside it's not reportable and a word of advice if i may ,don't take it too seriously,,i always bust a giggle when Bubba does it in my games even if it's me on hook

It wasnt. New DH is stronger than old DH, they just made it take slightly more skill to use.
Which also means you might not pull it off,, there sre cases where it's stronger and there are cases where it's not even close

DH and Eruption are the two perks right now that have such a strong meta, that they singlehandedly decide how games are played and they have the greater game in their stranglehold. DH did so for quite some time now and after some grace period right after 6.1 were killers could just be killers and swing when they cornered a survivor or caught them in the open. Now, with a lot of survivor adapting and learned how to use the new DH, it's once again so possible that you have to second guess every single swing until you know that a survivor is running something else or needs to mend.
It's true that the new DH is much fairer then the old one and that you can now effectively bait it out most of the time, but it's still wasting time every single chase. And there are still lots of lose/lose situations for the killer, that just feel awful. By now I can predict pretty well when a survivor will DH in front of a palette, but the window to hit them afterwards is soooo fricking small that it's actually more to your detriment to try to go for it then to just eating the DH and applying mending. FR, I have pulled this off successfully a scant 3 times by now, but have many times predicted the DH correctly and still gotten hit by the palette ... this time without deep wounding the survivor and them just using a palette. This is really awful and quite comparable to the way survivors feel about the uncounterable status of an Eruption primed gen. Do they waste time off that gen and be waiting for a down that might never come or stay at the gen and risk looking at it for 25s? Fun for everyone.
I have a few ideas of how to nerf DH even further, without it being too strong. For one, we could not make it an exhaustion perk, but give it tokens. DH could have a much more generous activation period of 1s or even 1.5s, but once used up its token is gone, a bit like Unbreakable. It gives you this one or two strong plays per game, but you have to make then count and can't use it in every chase or to greed EVERY. SINGLE. WEAK. PALETTE. TO. ITS. ABSOLUTE. MAX. .... sorry, I needed to get that "skill issue of mine" out of the system. I would argue for two tokens, one would be too weak, 3 still oppressive enough that you could use it very much like now. 2 seems to be the sweet spot.
With Eruption, I am mostly not using it, because I feel the survivors plight, playing survivor myself a good 50% of the time. That's the reason, btw, why I refuse to use DH and only sparingly use Boons, I don't play stuff that I hate playing against myself. Eruption singlehandedly is keeping killrates up, though, and saving some killers from slinking completely below mediocrity. Suevivors who know what they are doing a very much back in the power role in this game and dictate that flow of the game. Eruption helps many killer players in this regard to somewhat turn the tables, but just as with DH, old or new, it's never a good thing to crutch on one single perk.
BTW of crutches: I play a lot of Nowhere to Hide these days and rely a lot on its info and am loving it ^_- But I can still read birds or scratch marks or certain other clues and can play the game without.
I like the premise of it but if it no longer is an exhaustion perk it opens up builds combining it with another exhaustion perk,, as you mentioned survivors did adapt and so did most of the killers to dh which feels fair for the most part,, I'm curious what they do with eruption,, my guess is it gets the tinkerer treatment, once per Gen, with slight buffs to the regress part and slight nerf to incapacitated

So it went from guaranteed 3rd health state to guaranteed 3rd health state against m2s.... so massive
You can always try faking you power to bait it out, obviously some killers can do it much better than others like blight that can spare a charge unlike a demo for example, killer has some chance to outplay you now unlike old dh,,

I beg to differ

Massively? I'd love to hear your take on ruin/thanat/and pop then
i only feel bad about ruin, being a hex is always risk enough and should have been left alone

Yep, thats why its still the most used survivor perk.
Usage rate doesn't warranty a nerf in my book,,,Windows is also used a lot,,should it be nerfed ?

The problem is that new DH tends to make weaker killers feel way worse and doesn't do much against stronger killers that can regain that distance instantly.
Also agree..but i don't see how DH gets adjusted again without becoming bad,,What i would like to see is targeted buffs to lower tier killers for sure ,,As much as i hate eruption carrying bad killer players as well it made lower tier killers viable as well

Here's the issue. Let's say I'm playing on Demo, or any other killer with highly telegraphed hits.
Before - someone DH's, my shred whiffs but I catch them in 5 seconds and they go down. Maybe they make it to safety.
Where DH was obnoxious was when someone used it to bypass a trap completely, or for distance.
Now - I shred, eat a DH and now it takes about 10 seconds to catch up and they will make it to safety.
yeah i totally get it and i agree for ONLY these cases it's stronger ,,but otherwise i feel it's decently toned down , Old DH felt like you were gettin robbed,,this just feels meh but whatever ,at least for me

The two are unrelated.
Here's the thing about Eruption...and why I can tell already that I'm going to be annoyed here.
Eruption is a meh perk against SWFs and a nightmare scenario for solos.
What should happen: the perk reworked into something that's universally good against both, but not as oppressive for solos.
What will happen: take a look at Thana. Or Ruin. Or Overcharge. Or Pop.
Killers won't get anything in return, because that's...never how it works.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3328325#Comment_3328325
It doesn't though.
It needs to be reworked.
Dead Hard is...probably a bit strong too, but with how long it was left at a 70-80% pick rate, I doubt it's ever going to be adjusted at a 30% pick rate.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3328317#Comment_3328317
It really wasn't though. In some situations, DH is even stronger than it was before. The DH 'nerf' was a bit of a paper tiger, all told.
at least there's some mindgame involved now,,except the pallet part which i totally understand,,but i think it's nowhere near as strong as it was before,,maybe on very telegraphed hits like a nurse blink it's stronger than before,,,but even then killer can just not swing ,,
-
DH was already massively nerfed
-
Eruption nerfs incoming ...Yas gawd

The thing that divides average Nurse players from the exceptional is that average are only blinking safe while the exceptional will go for predictions and if they have a ton of experience their predictions are usually accurate.
yeah.the prediction ones tend to be more experienced and know the tiles better ,,they are more fun for sure

I also love them.
Sometimes i even get a message in the endgame chat about the chase. I think some nurse players are just happy that people don´t instantly dc or give up. But try to run them instead.
I love nurse chases too

Freddy, Trapper, Twins.
Over and over and over again. Will they do it? I dont think so, Killrates are ok, we cannot make money out of them anymore, so who are they? Cant remember....
I kid you not ,,i forgot twins exist ,,i barely see twins

I would like to just point out some things.
I never used those perks that match, the original image is cropped a bit so you cant really see it, in fact I stopped using Dead Hard 1-2 months after it's rework because I felt like I crutched too hard on it to last long in chase, so I moved to using Balanced Landing and Iron Will for chases. Also my team never had any of the perks you listed either, so saying "well you guys have this so I think it is fair" (or at least that is my assumption and interpretation, Im sorry if it is wrong) just does not really fit the situation.
Ive been on the forums for a long time. I was a Survivor main, then a Killer main, now I consider myself neither. Ive moved to playing both sides evenly since I want the best overall experience for both sides. Both sides have unfair and uncounterable situations, and I really want to see them removed because it just overall contributes to the game not being fun for players (Killers and Survivors). I really just care about this game succeeding and being fun for everyone, even though I really know you cant please both sides sometimes.
Idk. I also dont care about losing. If I cared about losing/winning, I would hard tunnel every Survivor at 5 Generators with meta perks but you always see me making posts about unique builds and having fun. If I cared about losing/winning, I wouldnt be using Visionary, Pebble, and Hope in the screenshot above, nor would I do perk roulette with friends, nor run No Mither. Again, winning/losing never matters to me, I just care about fun, for everyone, and talking about the flaws of the game that might need to be looked at (for Killer and Survivor).
I'm not saying you are using those perks..All i'm saying is both sides have second chance perks and that's fine,,does it suck gettin downed next to noed totem and gettin camped with no realistic way of gettin off that hook without a deliverance or 4% ? Yes it does ,same way it does for a killer having multiple adrenalines pop at endgame or while chasing a person to kill/ hook,,The point is not to shame people for using meta, ( unless you are a gen kicking bot with call of brine eruption nowhere to hide) point is second chance perks exist for both sides and sometimes you feel robbed but then again most of them have their drawbacks,,,noed might not even activate, adrenaline same ,no way out encourages not tunneling,,see the pattern ?
-
Is this how you cope ?

Best action against Nurse is to break line of sight and then mindgame.
Both work,,safe nurses will blink to last spot they lost LOS and take things from there and some will try predicting,,,it's honestly a 2 way thing ,that's why i enjoy nurse chases
-
Welp the info is nice as solo but i wish they would perform targeted buffs to weaker killers as well and a few QOL for killer as well
-
It's a second chance perk for killer same as Adrenaline / UB / DH for survivors,,,and a much weaker for that matter,,perk is fine as it is,,if you happen to have a hooked person near the totem it is what it is,,take the L and move on
-
Boring AF and if they don't camp out a 3 or hook they are also very weak,,,usually goin next against knight
-
The best buff this killer can get is be removed from the game,,,he is disgustingly boring to play against
-
You are actually supposed to hold w against nurse not loop her ,,her addon brings her back to the original position she blinked from first ,,so if you stay in that same tile it's you doin it to yourself,,if you hold w as you should chances are you're good to go
-
well maybe but her chases are but a fractions of most m1 killers at most cases at least.,, i only met 1 nurse after the rework though so i can't really tell if she feels easier to face now
-
The random objects you can get stuck on as well is annoying AF since the map has become kinda claustrophobic ,i wish they would polish it a bit more but feels much better for killer
-
I have no clue why they would remove it from the game,,Billy players in general are the most wholesome killer players the game has periodt ,,Except the M1lly players,,those we do not stan

This may sound awful to folks who weren't alive before the advent of Twitter, but I don't care if my takes are 'gross' or 'offensive'.
I care if my takes are factually correct and logically sound.
That is all.
You're pretty based dont worry about it, a little side note,, as a Mediterranean person i fall into the white category but other than that F twitter and their virtue signaling cesspool
-
Its about what characters are played the most, stop the race card bs, if anything the devs proved they are pretty woke by removing Bubba masks because some people were being trolls towards poc with them
-
Basekit unbreakable isn't and shouldn't happen ever get over it already,, what should happen is give unbreakable basekit only to last one or two survivors to remove unnecessary slugs,,
-
@Science_Guy said:
I'm with you, OP, I've run into so many killers slugging out of spite that I don't bother playing outside of events or PTBs anymore. And it's a direct result of BHVR floating the basekit UB idea in the first place. Congrats to all of you who don't play Survivor enough to run into this on a constant basis, but for some of us this is pretty darn frequent occurence.
I play mostly survivor and the times i run into what you describe is like 1 in 500 lmao
-
bruh
-
Legion cause randoms keep stacking and giving up easy frenzy hits , also Pinhead ,,the amount of times i have to go cross map for the box a few seconds before chain hunt begins only to find randoms working a gen close to it is absurd

Only noobs played with these addons and experienced nurses preferred other addons that just improved. So until they reduce her lunge or make a more serious nerf, then you should not introduce the nurse into the game at all
you have no idea what you're talking about ,plz stop
-
was it ever meta ? i've only seen it on doctor builds
-
Indeed your first chase is the most important part for killer games,it sets the pace for the rest of the game ,,Picking your chases is one of the most important aspects for killer,,Taking a long chase with a good looper will most likely cost you the game unless survivors somehow throw the game
-
These are all second chance perks,,,same way no way out / noed are for killers ,,,
-
Honestly these nurse complaints are gettin out of hand,,i know it offers nothing to the topic but just get better at the game
-
She is losing her best addons and her best cheese build (starstruck) ,,if you really wanna moan for more nerfs at least wait till it goes live
-
Starstruck is only oppressive on nurse and that is gettin changed in a few days,,Perk is fine as it is
-
to make solo experience even worse ? no thanks
-
Courlophobia for when you meet that one crazy person running a "never heal " build and probably deception as killer cuz it makes you look extra stupid if you fall for it though i usually let out a mix of giggle and sigh after gettin hit with it
-
Without my filters swamp hands down is the worst map for me ,it ain't even close to the next worst map
-
You forgot to mention huntress "mini fridge " hitbox for her hatchets
On a more serious note if i had to choose one i'd pick Slinger for my self but huntress can feel way more rewarding

TBF there was no justifiable reason to make a flashlight buffer. Flashy saves are now braindead easy and I'm finding myself in more and more situations where I can't pick up the survivor because they are postioned in a way that makes the saves very easy and I have to slug and down the other survivors as well which is just boring. And if I don't bring agi hooking survivors is a pain because a lot of teams I go up against bring atleast one sabo toolbox.
that is true ,but at least they removed double lockers though you still can get a locker save if survivor is grabbed while entering / exiting
-
10/10 seething, coping, malding rant post,, could have been a little better if it included complaints aboht flashlight sabes being easier now 💯
-
Lol imagine 😂😂once you manage to 99 it most of the times you gonna have it up when needed
-
Honestly they should make every map the size of Coal tower or a tiny bit bigger to begin with,,playing a 110 killer in a big maps is just pain,,,some maps could use less pallets and some more,,maps shouldn't be such a big factor for kills/ escapes
-
Idk,,i have very mixed feelings about it,,,It's actually fun to get occasionally jumpscared but other than that i find it boring to go against ,i know it's one of the playerbase's favorite "for fun" builds but i can't seem to find anything remotely fun about it,,,
-
Killer mains say eruption is fine same way survivor mains claimed old DH was fine,,non of them were fine ,,DH was rightfully nerfed and so is gettin eruption down the line,,,i give it until next ptb,,everyone is moaning about eruption as they should
